Chapter 27: Heaven vs Hell

"What do you want Kazuo"- Said Izuru as he walked through the hallways of the 3 floor of Hope's Peak he heard the footsteps of Kazuo walking near – "Nothing much, just checking on my little survivor"- he said proud of him – "So how is school Izuru?"- he asked like a Grandpa asking his/her grandson/granddaughter. But Izuru glared at him – "cut your bullshit, I'm not buying it. What do you want Kazuo"- he said coldly, and Kazu smiled.
"I see that ultimate analyst is working for you"- Izuru looked mad at him – "Well to be honest with you I need you to do something for me"- Kazuo then said calmly, while Izuru listened – "I need you to kill Makoto Naegi"- Izuru's eyes widened for half a second before he looked serious at him again. He didn't even need to ask him, he already understood everything with his Ultimate Detective abilities he connected all the wires. The reason he needed Izuru to do it was because of the alliance since the alliance between the exorcist and the reapers were enacted still, neither he nor any of his exorcist could attack Makoto, but Izuru wasn't an exorcist, instead, he was a reaper, meaning it would be more complicated to track down Kazuo's plan – "by the look of your face I guess you probably figured out most of my plan haven't you"
"Yes, except for two things, one: why and two: how?"- Izuru said and Kazuo smiled as he started walking – "the how is simple, you are a being even more special than Naegi, unlike him who has no talent at all other than being a bit lucky, you are a perfect human being with all the abilities that humankind could muster. You are the perfect candidate for the hero position"- he explained while Izuru looked suspicious – "What do you mean for hero position?"- Izuru said already knowing his answer but wanted to hear it from him instead – "well in this time of crisis where monsters realm the world, who better to be able to save it than you. Unlike the other reapers who only can fight thanks to the reaper serum your abilities come from more than that, you are a human who's abilities before the serum already surpassed most of the reapers, you are a person with the perfect abilities to lead this new generation to better progress of humanity. In other words, you are a hero"- Izuru then looked mad, at him. He never noticed how similar he a Makoto were, while Tsesuna wanted for humans to evolve, Kazuo wanted to show Human supremacy.
"I won't do it"- He said as he started leaving – "it's that so, well I guess that would be too bad for miss Chiaki"- Immediately Izuru's eyes widened and he pulled a gun on Kazuo who didn't even react – "What the hell did you say?"- Kazuo then looked a little disappointed – "I see you still have some emotions, well that could be a problem…. But we can fix that later"- he said nonchalantly – "where is she?" – Kazuo then used his cane to push away the gun – "you should know threating me won't work"- Izuru then scuffed angrily – "on the point of Chiaki, well let's just say she won't have a lot of time"- he said. Izuru then let his gun down
"Ok I'll do it"- he said defeated, while Kazuo smiled and started to leave, only to stop mid-way – "ohh right I forgot, you asked me why. Well, the reason why is simple, what better way to introduce the hero, but with the head of the demon king itself.

"What do you mean I can't have sex with him?"- Junko complained as most of the girls (Hina, Sakura (who was accompanying Hina), Mukuro, Maki, Sayaka, and Kyoko) were in his room. Makoto a blushing mess on the bed as he heard Sayaka and Junko fight – "well we made a deal with Makoto and only those we accepted can have sex with him"- Makoto's face turning even redder at the mention of sex, and making the other girls blush a bit – "and honestly Junko I don't trust in you"- Junko looked fake shocked over that comment before she looked determined - "Well then if you won't let me, then I just have to steal it from you"- she said confidently – "Oh please like you could tempt Makoto. He wouldn't fall for you, much less after he knows you are a despair addict who only wants him for chaos"- Sayaka said.
Junko then smiled and quickly took most of her clothes off, revealing a very sexy black and white lingerie – "Oh my cute Sayaka, I wasn't called the ultimate Model for nothing"- she said as Makoto tried his best to not look – "well that won't work, after all, Makoto, Maki, Kyoko and I have a stronger connection he has…."- but before she could talk, both Kyoko and Maki quickly covered her mouth – "What the hell, you know we can't talk about it"- Whispered Kyoko. Sayaka's eyes widened as he noticed her mistake. But Junko looked suspiciously at them. What could it be that is more than sex and more dangerous? It was then that her eyes widened, and she looked at them. The three of them were wearing their collar up and their neck ribbons – "you let him drink from your blood!?"- Junko said in pure shock as the other girls looked at them, the three of them surprised over the sudden accusation – "Oh my god that's it. He has drunk of your blood. The forbidden taboo for him, since he is a vampire. That's why isn't its Makoto?"- she then said pointing at where Makoto was. Only to see he was long gone.

Makoto left his room. He didn't want to hear them fight anymore. He knew it was his fault for not being able to control his lust but still, he didn't want to see them fight. He then sat on a cafeteria stool thoughtful – "why do they even like me in the first place?"- he said truly confused – "Hey Makoto"- he then heard as Mondo and his crew walked to him – "ohh hi Mondo and guys"- Makoto said as they got near him – "what's up?"- he asked and they smiled – "actually the guys are going to retry the exam under the Great Gozu tutorage, and they asked me if you could go spectate"- Mondo said surprising him – "me?"- and Mondo nodded – "But why?"
"Because we respect you as a brother as well" – Terra (one of the gang members said) – "after our test with you, you inspired us to keep training and grow stronger. And even now you fight to protect us"- he said, and everyone nodded, they all then looked at Makoto and he was crying of happiness
"Yes, I will go" – He said standing up proud – "hey… can I go with you?"- Makoto then heard behind him and saw Hina there – "Hina… I mean we are talking about"- Mondo tried explaining and lying only for her to giggle – "Mondo I already know about Makoto"- She explained leaving Mondo a blushing mess – "Well how the fuck would I have known?"- his crew then started laughing. Hina then looked at Makoto – "so can I go?"- she asked – "I mean sure… but where is everyone else?" – he asked as he remembered the issue – "they are still discussing, so since it was boring I instead decided to leave"- she said as they both started laughing imagining it.
"She isn't that funny" – Said Suzie (a female gang member, with short white hair and always wearing a hoodie) a little jealous, while her other friends agreed. Mondo looked a bit shocked. Did Makoto manage to accidentally seduce his female gang members?
"well let's go"

They all rode their bikes (Makoto riding with Suzie and Hina with Mondo). Until they all reached an empty plane just outside the city. You see unlike the other testers and captains Great Gozu always wanted his tests to be outdoors. And he didn't matter that there were spectators.
As the finally got to the stage that Gozu had made. Which by the was hand made. Mondo, Hina, and Makoto sat nearby (in an also handmade bench) as they all then got unto the stage. And just as they got ready Makoto looked surprised, unlike the time they took the exam with him, where they didn't even know which weapon, they would take, here they were all ready to fight. Terra taking a Spear and Suzie a bow, while everyone got ready as well – "HAHAHAHA! I see you guys are ready!"- Gozu said excitedly as he took his coat and rolling the sleeves of his shirt – "Ok kids bring it on"- he said as he took a position to fight – "if you manage to take me down of the platform you guys win. And as long as any of you stays on the platform you guys win"- he said the gang then got ready.
"Begin!"
Immediately Suzie and the ranged fighters started shooting their weapons, only to the surprise that their shots rebounded from his skin – "HAHAHAHA My body is my pride" -he said as one of the gang members appeared with a mace – "Ahh!"- he swung his mace only to be grabbed by Gozu – "Impressive but that won't work"- he then said as he swung him outside the stage. But just as quickly Suzie Launch him a grappling arrow (courtesy of the Kazuo industrial system) grabbing him and bringing him back to fight – "Ok… Now is My TURN"- Gozu said as he rose his leg, immediately Makoto held Hina close, much to her surprise and pleasure. But as his leg hit the stage a massive shockwave appeared pushing everyone. After the shockwave had stopped, they noticed how only less than half were still there.
"No… way"- said Suzie shocked and falling to her knees giving up. Just as all the ones who stayed on the stage – "how can we win?"
"DON'T GIVE UP!"- they then heard Makoto scream from the bench – "that's right you bastards if you give up now… how can you look yourself in the goddamn mirror!"- screamed Mondo. Just then Terra then stood up surprising everyone – "that's right, we can't give up. Not after all the work we did to stand on this stage. We can't embarrass ourselves in front of our brothers!"- Terra said firing up their spirits as everyone stood up – "we are here to prove our worth… so let's give our all"- they all nodded
Confused Gozu then looked how Terra tied himself with steel wire – "let's do this"- he said as he dashed to Gozu charging to attack him. Gozu then sighed – "I thought more of you"- he said preparing to block the spear. Just as the spear was about to hit him he then grabbed it, but to his surprise noticed that Terra had dropped it, only to slide under him – "what?" – and grabbed him in a full nelson – "what are you doing?" – Gozu asked shocked
"Guys Now!"- Terra said shocking Gozu who looked up and didn't notice anything…. Just then he then felt a huge thug from behind him. Shocked looked back, and to his surprise noticed everyone who was outside the stage pulling the cord that Terra had – "Ok everyone Pull!"- they screamed as they started pulling. Gozu crouched a little to keep himself from flying off. – "I see this was your plan!"- Gozu said excited – "but it won't work"- he said. He was surprised over all of them. But especially Terra. The way he was grabbing him while tied, must feel painful
"You… Shouldn't look just back"- Terra said in pain. Gozu then looked forward before notices Suzie with a smoke bomb on his eyes – "what?"- he then felt everyone still on the stage trying to lift him – "HAHAHAHAHA YES LIKE THIS!"- He screamed full of joy – "now you get it. But I…. won't let it that easy!"- Gozu then added pressure on the floor sending a huge shockwave that pushed everyone from him sending them flying.
As they all landed they looked at first surprised, before they looked disappointed – "we failed"- Terra said as he used his hat to cover himself – "No guys… you won"- They then heard Makoto say. They looked at him and he pointed at Gozu – "Gozu lost"- they then looked at Gozu and as the smoke dissipated they noticed what had happened, with the strength he had broken the floor under him, meaning he was out. And Suzie… was on top of a piece of the stage.
"we…. We won?"- Asked Terra in disbelief. Before a huge smile appeared on him and everyone – "WE WON!"- they all screamed as they all went to Terra and hugged him. They couldn't believe it they made it. Just then Makoto then walked to Gozu – "damn I went overdrive"- he said before Makoto smiled – "sure… but you knew yourself they were about to win either way"- Gozu then laughed – "yeah… they all have great determination and potential" – Gozu then looked at Makoto – "do you want any of them with you?"- Makoto then thought for a second
"Yes… all of them. But not yet, I want when they are at their full potential. And we both know you are the best tutelage for them"- he said before Gozu sighed – "it will be really hard work"- he complained a little – "well it always is"
As they both talked Hina looked at Makoto. And seeing him there she felt something weird. Both times that the shockwave happened he had protected her… and it wasn't until now that she noticed something – "Makoto's back is big"- she said before covering her mouth, but it was too late, Mondo had heard her. But instead of mocking her he smiled – "Yeah. Only a guy like him has such a Man's back. The back of a true fighter"

After there they all then went to a sushi place, where they all ate like crazy. Since Suzie's dad was the owner, he even gave them good things. After they finished eating Makoto, Mondo and Hina went back to the school housing, but just as they got there they noticed Izuru in front of it waiting for him – "oh Izuru- senpai"- Makoto said as he walked to him – "so why are you…"
"Makoto I challenge you to a duel to the death"- he then said shocking both Hina a Mondo, but somehow didn't surprise Makoto – "Wait for a fucking second what do you mean?!"- Screamed Mondo enraged, bur Makoto stopped him – "and what if I refuse?"- Makoto asked seriously. Izuru then looked at him – "you won't… unless you don't care what happens to your mother"- Makoto's eyes then widened for a second but then took a hard breath – "when?"- Makoto asked to the surprise of both Mondo and Hina… he was accepting it?- "Tonight at Midnight we will meet on the outside of the city, we don't want to cause chaos"- Izuru then said, before starting to leave, Mondo wanted to stop him and punch him… but Makoto stopped him – "You know I haven't seen Chiaki-senpai in a while… do you know where she is?"- Makoto asked Izuru, who stopped for a second – "how should I know" – before he left
Makoto then sighed – "Makoto, what the hell are you doing? Why did you accept?"- asked Mondo before Makoto looked at him seriously – "Mondo… I need you to do something"

Makoto then arrived at the place that Izuru had confirmed with him as he walked through the plains of the place. Until he finally found Izuru who was sitting on his bike. Izuru then looked at him – "Are you sure you want to do this?"-he asked him and Izuru then stood up pulling his gun blades – "there isn't another way"- Makoto then closed his eyes
"Ok… but don't blame me later"- He said as he summoned his sword- "I won't"- Izuru said as both dashed and clashed their weapons, Makoto then summoned another in his other hand and swung it but Izuru jumped backward, shooting on the way. Makoto then blocked one of the bullets only for his eyes to widen as the bullet exploded taking a hugged chunk on the plains. Luckily Makoto's body was able to take it, but his cloak and part of his costume shirt didn't – "You are taking this too seriously"- Makoto said as he threw daggers to Izuru, who blocked them all – "No, you are not taking it seriously enough"- He said and started shooting him. Makoto then started dodging explosion after explosion, before jumping drop with his sword. Izuru then blocked before slashing his arm – "What!?"- Makoto said before attacking again and receiving a similar response, this time slashing his eye. – "I can read you Makoto"- he said before attacking him multiple times slashing him all over around and cutting down all the trees.
Makoto then fell to his knees, his whole body in tatters, he then felt as a gun was placed on his head – "Makoto, you are weak… this is the end. After this, I'll take your body to the exorcist… you lost" – he said but he was suspicious of him. Makoto was weaker than him but not this weak – "Izuru… I won't lose to you" -He said just before Izuru noticed a pill bottle fall to the ground, to his shock it was Makoto's blood pill bottle, which was now empty. Makoto then glared at him and as a reaction, he shot him. The explosion causing a smokescreen
"I won't lose Izuru"- he then heard from the smoke and as it dissipated Izuru looked shocked, covering Makoto was a blood coat – "Let's begin IZURU!"- Makoto screamed as he ran to Izuru. He got ready only to feel both his handheld. He looked back and noticed that the blood spilled had turned into chains and he was grabbed. He then quickly looked at Makoto
"I'll win!"- he screamed as all the blood in his coat went to his hand turning into a giant claw, Makoto then clenched his claw into a fist and punched Izuru. The pressure was off the punch so massive that broke the chains and sent him flying over 50 feet. Izuru then stood and noticed Makoto (now his cloak back) running to him with swords. Makoto then swung his sword, which Izuru quickly dodged. Izuru then swung his blade only to be stopped by Makoto's cloak which sent spikes to him. In shock Izuru managed to dodge, only his left shoulder receiving damage.
"Damn… the monster is evolving"- Kazuo said on top of a tree looking at them. Next to him was Martel Naegi – "But I guess you don't care about him, do you?"- he asked Martel – "if it died, my life would be way better. Do you promise me that If I Give it to you, I will never see him again?"- Martel said to Kazuo pleasure. – "Yes, I do"

While this main ham was happening, Mondo, Mukuro, and Maki were raiding one of the exorcist complexes. With the aid of Kyoko and Byakuya – "I can't believe Kazuo would do that… bastard!"- Maki said mad, Mukuro then looked at her – "although it sounds ingrate… why he did doesn't matter"- Mukuro said mad at the exorcist for doing this – "Yeah, Mukuro is right… we have to save Chiaki and Makoto's mother"- Mondo said – "So Maki, you have to take command instead of Makoto"- Maki then looked shocked before she was filled with determination – "We will go. I don't want any death. But make them remember the fear of the Vampire crew"- Both Mondo and Mukuro then nodded – "well let's bring them hell"
A couple of exorcist guards looked shocked as the metal doorway of the complex were slashed in half as the trio entered – "Mukuro-sama… what are you doing here?"- asked one of them only to see her pull her guns – "what?"- one of them then heard a gunshot as the other one was tranquilized and on the floor – "SHE IS AN ENEMY SHOOT!"- they screamed as they started shooting. The trio then separated dodging each to their side and they started fighting the exorcists.
Mukuro dropping them by shooting with tranquilizer guns. Mondo by punching and beating them into submission and Maki with her hair turned into blunt weapons. They were winning for about 30mins until their reinforcement appeared quickly surrounding them – "Dammit there are too many of them"- Mondo said complaining, back to back with Mukuro and Maki – "we can't give up"
"LET'S HELP MONDO NI!"- they then heard as from the windows and entrances, appeared Mondo's gang – "everyone charge!"- they screamed as they also joined the battle – "Mondo who are they?"- Maki asked confused- "reinforcements!"- he said quickly joining the battle. Both Mukuro and Maki looking confused. But joined as well. Beating all the exorcists in less than an hour.
After beating all the guards, they finally got to where Chiaki was. To see to their surprise Chiaki was in a tube. Shocked they got her out. Mukuro instead investigating what they did to her. Mukuro then found the investigation and her eyes widened – "what?!"- she said in shock. Both Mondo and Maki then got to her and read as well, and they were shocked as well.
Not only Chiaki but also Makoto's mom. They were both experimented with something called project Archangel. It was a cure virus, with the ability to destroy ghouls and the potential to kill Makoto. And their test was today. Just then Mondo felt his hand felt numb, and Maki dropped to the ground in pain – "ahh!"- she said in pain – "Something is happening to Makoto"

"Sir… all the ghouls are in a state of pain"- screamed one of his assistants to Dr. Tsesuna. Who looked confused at his guard – "what is happening?"- he asked as all the ghouls screamed in extreme pain. Just then Tsumugi entered the room, resisting the pain on her – "Dr… Naegi is in trouble!"- she said shocking the Dr.
"What?"

Izuru tried his best to dodge Makoto, but his unpredictability and ability to control blood as he wanted, made it impossible. But he knew he had to win… he had to beat Makoto… or Chiaki would suffer. HE HAD TO WIN
Just then everything changed for him. His eye with a gear symbol, and everything else in slow motion. Not knowing what was happening but taking full advantage of the situation, Izuru used all his abilities to slash Makoto everywhere, shocking him. Makoto then fell to the ground – "Makoto, enough… I don't want to keep fighting"- he said surprising Makoto – "Idiot!"- Makoto said – "Why do you want to fight so much Makoto?"- Izuru asked him – "I don't want to fight… but I have something I have to put on your dumb skull"- he said – "and what is that?"- Izuru asked him angrily – "why didn't you try?"- he said confusing him. Makoto then quickly stood up and straight punch him in the face
"why instead of fighting you didn't ask for my help?!"- Makoto said angry, shocking him who looked angry and punch him – "why should I have? This is my problem!"-Izuru was no longer thinking straight, instead of letting his emotions run wild, and punching Makoto – "I am the one who has to do this!"- Makoto then used all his strength to hit him in the face with his head – "BECAUSE WE ARE A TEAM HAJIME!"- Izuru looked shocked over that name… he had forgotten the last time he had heard it. Makoto then fell on his back – "we are reapers! Even if you hate me… we have to work together. Hajime or Izuru I don't care"- he said tired as hell, Izuru then smiled and fell back as well – "I guess you are right"
"well as long as you understand… and don't worry about Chiaki… my team took care of it…" – but just then his conversation was stopped as Makoto felt a stab on his chest from what it looked was a white and sky blue spear… but what shocked him was that it was his Mother who stabbed him – "Mom?"- he asked just then Kazuo appeared – "I guess you are impatient"- he said to Martel – "stabbing him outright"- neither Makoto nor Izuru understood what was happening, a stab like that couldn't hurt Makoto… or so they thought. Izuru then felt numbness on his whole body. What?
Makoto then started feeling a intense burn on his whole body – "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"- it felt like every part of his body was rejecting each other and on the most intense fire, he opened more his mouth letting a blood curling scream. Izuru looked shocked – "What did you do to him!?"- Izuru screamed to Kazuo who just grin
"I must say Izuru, I am most proud of you. Even if all the exorcists were to fight against him they wouldn't have been able to fatigue him this much… but thanks to you… we had the perfect opportunity to try this"- he said as Izuru saw the spear coming out of Martel's body – "The perfect antivirus, a poison to everything that is not part of a human… and able to kill Makoto! I wonder how much pain all the ghouls a Dhampirs are having right now"- he said excited, as Izuru looked angry – "Martel, for good measure stab him again"
"like hell you are!"- Izuru screamed as he threw a smoke grenade, surprising him. He then ran to Makoto (who was now unconscious but with white streaks on his veins) and help him out. As he called his bike and quickly rode it. After the smoke dissipated Martel looked angry – "I won't let you"- but Kazuo stopped him – "is not necessary, if he does survive, we just have to kill him later"

Izuru rode as fast as he could. But his body felt heavy after the fight – "Reaper this way"- he then heard as he saw Tsumugi, still on pain but there, he then stopped – "what do you want?" – he asked her – "I want to save Makoto, I can fly… I promise to take you to the reapers but please do it quickly!"- she begged him. Izuru looked suspicious but seeing Makoto's current state he had no choice and nodded. She then took to the skies and seeing her he followed her.
It took them 45 mins to get to the Togami HQ – "welcome to the Tog… what!?"- asked the assistant – "Shut up… get me a medic here"- Both Jin and Kijo (who were near) ran to him – "what is happening Izuru, all our ghoul reaper are in an extremely painful state"- Izuru then grabbed Makoto – "Is Makoto! He is dying"

Well, this is the end of the chapter, and hell what a chapter. I must admit I enjoy it a lot writing it. So, I hope you enjoy reading it
