BIHP 47: Rebirth

Makoto could feel the dark energy coming from the man… no… the demon that just stood… even the other vampires were shocked and confused over why they were feeling this way. Makoto couldn't look away and Ezio could feel intense fear.
Atua looked like a dehydrated man… but was still was able to look around and saw the group of humans at the entrance – "Ruokminh Lhun" – he said in a language that only the Clan of the night (not Makoto) could understand. Makoto looked in fear as Atua rose his hands pointing at Sayaka. Minato quickly reacted and grabbed Sayaka moving out of the way. And Atua grabbed a reaper before biting it and draining him dry. Out of pure reaction, all the humans jumped back (Maki helped Kyoko) but Atua was able to consume another 3 reapers and grabbed Mukuro. Mukuro looked shocked as his fangs were getting closer.
"don't you dare hurt my friends"- Makoto screamed as he attacked him with an Ax, finally free from the lightning stun Atua then looked at him and stopped Makoto… not by doing anything at all… instead Makoto simply stopped… he couldn't move – "I see, so you are my daughter's vessel, I must say is a well made one"- he said and Makoto looked shocked as his face started to rehydrate looking younger and younger – "but sadly since my blood is inside, this vessel can't defy my orders"- Makoto looked shocked, he decided to drop Mukuro, who looked terrified.
"Atua what are you doing to our youngest brother?"- Kokichi asked confused and worried, he couldn't understand what was happening or why he was feeling this way. Atua then looked at them – "Ohh my brethren how are you all? it's been quite so long since we last saw each other"- he said smiling but everyone there could feel the darkness under his smile – "Atua what is happening? Why am I afraid?"- asked Himiko as her head started hurting and she felt afraid.
Atua then smiled – "why should I say something and probably tell lies… when they are so excited to start?"- immediately rock spikes stabbed him multiple times, and a ray of lightning blasted his chest while Kaito tried to stab his head and they all looked shocked.
But just like Makoto, Kaito was unable to hit him and Kaito, Kirumi, and Rantaro were also unable to move – "That was an impressive move… I guess you guys weren't able to resist the suggestions but you were preparing to fight after you completed it"- Atua said and they looked enraged, while the others looked shocked.
"although I will admit it was a valiant effort… it was also a foolish mistake"- he said and all the vampires fell to their knees shocking everyone – "oops, sorry everyone I guess I can't fully control my powers yet… I guess being asleep for millennia must have done this to me"- he said.
"Makoto!"- screamed Sayaka worried over him, surprising Atua – "interesting that… Human wasn't it? Looks rather protective of that vessel… that's weird after all she is just prey to him… isn't he?"
"everyone leaves its dangerous – Makoto said with all his strength. Atua then looked confused – "umm why is he trying to protect her? isn't she just food?"- asked confused Atua – "Atua what is happening?"- Ryoma asked who started to feel angry. – "it was all a lie"- Rantaro the explained confusing the others – "he used his abilities to slowly modify our memories so we would unseal him… all our memories about him are just fake… in reality, they are our memories of Arietta"- they all looked shocked – "so you lied to us!?"- Angie screamed enraged at Atua who just simply smiled triumphantly – "Rantaro, Kaito, Kirumi, why not tell us?"- Asked Gonta and Atua interfered – "Oh I can explain that. I noticed early on I didn't have full control over them and couldn't fully modify their memories… so for them to not mess up… I made sure they weren't able to tell others the truth"- he said.
"you bastard"- Tenko screamed enranged but at the same time crying feeling betrayed – "Atua… I don't know what you are trying to do… but I promise you we will stop you"- said Kaito trying to resist him. Atua the smiled before he started taking the clothes of his victims, Mukuro crawled back in fear – "What I'm trying to do? Well, that is simple… we were born to be the dominant species of this world… so I'm just guiding us to our spot at the top. Controlling those who are inferior. After all this world was created for us"- he said shocking everyone there.
"you monster…"- screamed one of the reapers, but like a man ignoring an Ant, Atua ignored him – "and you won't be able to stop me Kaito… after all… you are all going to help me rise to the top"- Makoto and all the Vampire started screaming in pain and holding their heads.
"MAKOTO!"- Kyoko screamed worried and everyone there looked. Makoto's team then tried to rush to his aid only for Atua to appear in front of them. He then pushed his hair back – "sorry I can't let you interfere"- they glared at him.
"Move!"- Sayaka said finally determined her soul and attacked him with her sword – "Sayaka stop!"- Minato said but Sayaka didn't listen – "Twilight Moon-style New moon slash"- She said but her eyes widened when someone stopped her… but it wasn't Atua
It was Makoto
Sayaka looked shocked at Makoto… his eyes empty and soulless, like a puppet – "amazing isn't it? Now he is mine, they are all in their hunger state since is easier to control them like that… ohh sorry you don't know what I'm talking about"- he said as Makoto rebuffed her and threw her back making her fall. The reapers then looked shocked as the other Vampires stood all with the same empty stare as Makoto.
As they all grouped… Atua started laughing, harder and harder – "so many years of silence… so many years of suffering and waiting…finally… finally I got the power required"- he said smiling evilly. He then looked at the reapers and especially Sayaka – "little female human please tell me something. If the memory of those humans I ate isn't wrong, you humans are the top of the food chain and are in control of the world is that the truth?"- he asked Sayaka, who glared at him.
But even without response, he knew the answer – "I see… Kaito, Angie, Rantaro, Tenko, Korekiyo, and Ryoma… make sure to destroy a couple of large cities, let's show those humans how are the real top of the food chain"- the reapers then looked shocked as Himiko then teleported them to a different place each. Leaving only Himiko, Kokichi, Makoto, and him.
Atua then looked at the rest of the people there – "oh right… you all came here for the vessel"- he said while everyone glared at him – "then maybe it would be nice for you to play with him"- he said and Makoto started walking at them pulling out his swords – "so play with him"- they all looked shocked as Makoto dashed to attack them, targeting Sayaka, only to be blocked by Minato – "Minato-sensei!"- Sayaka said surprised over his reaction – "don't get distracted something is happening to Makoto"- he said as he was going to attack his son… but he couldn't do it.
His eyes then widened as a set of black blades stabbed him from behind, he then started coughing blood before looking at his attacker, and his eye widened as he saw Maki's blade attacking him. her eyes were also cold and soulless – "I must admit this vessel sure gets good weapons"- he said as both Tsumugi and Maki stood next to Makoto preparing to fight them.
Minato looked back at his team seeing them shocked and immobilized, but also noticed Martel's expression… she looked horrified. He then smiled softly as he touched his son's face – "Makoto… I don't blame you" – Maki then pulled down his blades and Minato fell to the floor - "MINATO!?"- screamed Martel starting to dash in the aid of her husb… ex-husband. Only to be stopped by Izuru – "Don't overreact… we have to prepare ourselves to fight"- he said surprising them.
"Izuru you don't believe we will have to fight Makoto?"- Mondo asked shocked, but he looked serious – "if we don't we will die… so forget about your feelings right now and try to survive"- he said, they then looked at each other and determined their weapons… the last of them being Sayaka… after all, she had gained this power to help him.. but she needed to do this – "kill them" – Makoto was the first to dash summoning a scythe while Tsumugi flew overheads and Maki dashed last. Tsumugi flew quickly only to be shot by Mukuro, who had managed to regain her courage. While Izuru and Sayaka engaged Makoto and Sakura and Mondo took care of Maki.
But to the surprise of the duo, Makoto was stronger than before, easily blocking and countering all their attacks. Even when Izuru used his gear eyes he couldn't even go close to Makoto's level – *was he holding back against me last time?*- Izuru thought as he kept fighting, but they noticed it – "no that's not it.. my body feels sluggish… could that bastard be taking over the soldier serum as well?"- he thought as he barely managed to block another attack from Makoto. Sayaka on the other hand fought as best possible even though she was overpowered by him.
While this happened Atua was smiling, enjoying the show… he knew that if even the youngest of them was this powerful… with then strength of his other soldiers was enough to fulfill his wildest dreams… but even though… he still needed more power. But his course of thought was suddenly stopped when a bullet grazed his cheek. Shocked and enraged he looked at the source of the shot and noticing Kyoko had shot at him with her gun. Her eyes enraged and crying, but determined to fight – "release him!"- she said enraged and Atua's blood started to boil.
Even though his injury was healed…. He was mad… how dared that human to injury him. Maybe he needed to punish her and show humans how weak they were compared to him. – "vessel kill that human"- he ordered. Without a second thought Makoto then quickly attacked sending both Izuru and Sayaka flying and crashing them to walls… he then dashed to Kyoko shocking her and swung his scythe, but he was blocked by Martel's sword – "stop it Makoto"
She said as she started fighting him and compared it to Izuru or Sayaka, she was a match. As they fought Martel's blood started boiling… it was finally time… she would kill one of the members of the Clan of the night… she would get her revenge. But as she fought she noticed something… something that hit her hard, something that she would have never seen if she didn't fight him face to face. Although the color had changed… his eyes were exactly like Minato's… his nose was like hers… she had spent so many years ignoring and dehumanizing him… that deep inside she had forgotten… the day… the day Makoto was born. And the day she first held his tiny little hand on hers… this was her son… and all she could think was about killing him. As regret started taking over and she lost her will to fight, Makoto hit her slashing her and making her fall… although the wound wasn't too deep… the pain was too much.
Makoto slowly walked to Kyoko, who from fear fell back. For the first time in her life, she was afraid of Makoto… he looked cold and rose his scythe. But even when she felt afraid… even if she knew he was going to kill her. She smiled – "Makoto it's ok… even if you hurt me… I lo…." - And Makoto swung his scythe

In the darkness Makoto was chained unto his knees he could feel how slowly he was losing hope over his situation as he looked into the void he could feel how the chains felt heavier and heavier.
"Makoto… Makoto!"- he then heard someone say, but Makoto couldn't even look, he didn't have the strength to do it. – "Makoto wake up!"- he then felt someone slap him. Surprised Makoto looked up and noticed Ezio there – "Ezio?"- he asked as his eyes returned to normal – "How can you be out? I thought?" – and she smiled softly, before sitting in front of him.
"my father has no way of taking control of me… the only reason he can control you is that you are an imperfect vessel with his blood inside"- she said and he looked confused, but she looked sadly – "Makoto… the reason he is controlling you right now is that we are sharing a body… you see when you first turned, I was supposed to take over your body and your soul would have been consumed… but I didn't do it… I wanted you to be safe… so I made sure you weren't consumed, but as a consequence… you are weak to my father's powers"- she then looked sadly – "it's my fault… we are in this situation… I'm sorry" Makoto then looked at her softly
"It's not your fault Ezio… all you have done has it been to protect me. But I guess this time there is no other way… you are here to consume me aren't you? after all it's the only way to stop your father"- he then looked down accepting his fate… he would never see the other again… but it was for the greater good. But while he was not looking Ezio then bit her arm making herself bleed – "Makoto" – he then heard looking up again.
And Ezio kissed him
Makoto's eyes widened as he felt her tongue invading his mouth, but at the same time, he felt a familiar flavor of blood going into his mouth. Makoto then felt all his chains disappear – "Ok that should be enough to finish?"- Makoto looked confused… what did she mean with finish? Her eyes then glowed and Makoto felt a familiar feeling… the same he felt when Atua took control of him
"Makoto… as my first and last order as your mistress… you are to consume me"- she said shocking him – "Ezio what do you mean?"- but then he felt his body move – "no wait… stop"- Makoto said horrified as he held Ezio, who gave no resistance – "Please Ezio make me stop… I… I don't want to do this"- Makoto said crying, and she cried as well – "I'm sorry Makoto… but it's the only way… I don't want to see you hurt… and I don't want you to disappear… so I'll do it instead"- she said and Makoto cried even more trying and failing to resist, as he opened his mouth and his teeth grew.
She then looked at him and Makoto's eyes resonated with those of his own body… so at the same time he was seeing both Ezio and Kyoko – "Makoto it's ok… even if you hurt me… I love you"- both Ezio and Kyoko said at the same time. And Makoto bit Ezio as his hands in real life swung down his scythe.

"Ahh!"- screamed in pain Atua as he held his left eye which was bleeding – "what the fuck is happening?" – he asked as he looked forward and his good eye widened. They were all surprised, but the one who was surprised the most was Kyoko… she looked next to her and saw the scythe, stabbing the ground next to her… Makoto had missed her on purpose.
"What are you doing? I told you to kill her"- ordered Atua to him, But Makoto didn't listen – "Makoto?"- Kyoko asked surprised looking at him. nobody but her could see his tears, Makoto then cleaned his eyes. Atua started then feeling fear, Makoto - "I'm sorry Kyoko… I scared you"- Makoto then said and Atua's eyes widened… how? How was he disobeying his orders? Makoto then slowly turned around and everyone looked shocked as they saw Makoto's eyes… his right one was his normal red… but the other hard returned to his original green.
"Atua… I am no longer your slave. You can't control me anymore"- Atua walked backward in fear – "how can this be? Those who bear my blood must fulfill my commands how is it possible that a simple vessel for the soul of my daughter can live once again… how can you rebel?"- he asked, and Makoto closed his eyes before he smiled evilly sinking fear deep into his heart – "Why should I tell you?"- he said. Out of pure fear Atua then sent both Maki and Tsumugi against him, since they were still under his power. But Makoto pulled his scythe and swung it, stabbing both of them, shocking everyone – "you would kill your own allies?"- Atua asked but Makoto glared at him – "no… but I would set them free"- Atua then noticed that he again felt pain and noticed the blade of the Scythe disappearing as it went inside the bodies of Maki and Tsumugi, healing them in the process and leaving them unconscious – "Now that my blood is again inside of them, you can't control them either"
Makoto then dashed with his scythe. Only to jump backward as a knife appeared out of nowhere. Makoto then dodged again and blocked it only for it to turn into mist. But as a reaction, he jumped backward dodging another couple of knives. Makoto fell to the ground, his breath feeling heavy and tired. Which confused them… until Atua smiled
"I see even with your new abilities, you still can't control it fully"- he said and Makoto glared at him – "But I won't stay to find out… So for today I'll leave… but next time Vessel I will kill you"- he said, he wanted to take Makoto as well and knew Himiko and Kokichi could do it… but a primal fear that it was a trap got him and instead decided to leave, as Himiko made the trio disappear. After he left and everyone noticed the calm they all then dashed Makoto, except for Izuru who was taking care of healing both Minato and Martel and taking care of Tsumugi's and Maki's unconscious bodies.
"Makoto!"- screamed Sayaka surprising him as she tackled him to the ground – "Sayaka?"- he said blushing only to see she was crying while hugging him – "we finally got you back"- she said crying and Makoto smiled softly managing to sit down and petting her head – "Yeah I'm back"- he then felt someone's back unto his, seeing Kyoko there – "welcome back"
"yeah man you had us fucking scared… we thought we would never see you again"- Mondo said as he hit hard on his left shoulder – "It's good to see you back Naegi-kun"- Sakura continued and Mukuro smiled – "yeah… we were worried"- Makoto then smiled he felt happy to see them again and started tearing up.
While they talked and reunited Minato then woke up looking at the scene, smiling over Makoto and his friends finally together.

But while this happened… the world would change once again

Beijing
Middle of the night
As the people around enjoyed the night life, even after the scourge of ghouls was shown, they hadn't changed their ways of life. But while people enjoyed eating in restaurants, living the club life going to visit family, etc. a dark silhouette appeared on the top of the Beijing West railway system. The silhouette made a painter brush appear and swung it as 10 giant tornadoes appeared and started destroying everything. Chaos immediately followed as people tried to run, but to no avail as the destruction killed everyone. Chaos reigned, but only for an hour where after that there was only silence.

Time square was as shiny and excited as always the light shone. The massive sound of the walk of people in the area. The lights of all the advertisement sending messages of buying different items.
A group of college students hanging out just came out of a restaurant and were walking, for the way the night they had gone, they were all kind of drunk – "Brendan, Lynn is faster, we are late for the party"- said a drunk girl to a couple who were walking behind, also drunk and horny.
"Fuck off Emily… you are fucking up my Mojo"- Said Brendan when he felt something hit his head and fell to the floor – "what the fuck?"- Brendan asked confused before noticing what is was… a small red orb. He then noticed another fall.
A bit surprised Brendan looked around, and noticed that all over around there were more and more balls fell – "what are those?"- asked confused Brendan and everyone started to look confused as they saw the balls. But their eyes the started to widen as they noticed the orbs starting to glow – "What is happening" – the glow then intensified and
Exploded destroying every square and everyone in the city. As Ryoma stood on the top of the highest building in New York and although his eyes were cloudy. He could see the fires of the destroyed place.

Cairo
A group of tourists was walking through the city of the same. They were enjoying the sights, the amazing foods, and the people. The family was walking and enjoying the sight… when they felt a slight discomfort in their eyes as dust fell into their eyes. But instead of decreasing… it was increasing. Eventually, they noticed it was sand and it was covering the place.
After the father was able to open his eyes, they widened in pain as they saw what it looked like a giant tsunami of sand that hit the whole city and killed everyone. And from the sand rose Korekiyo turning back into his humanoid form

Mumbai
Near the river a fisherman was trying to sell his merchandise, One after another he sold. As he worked, he then heard the buzzing sound and he hit the insect, seeing what it was he only saw a blood point. Which after a couple of seconds it turned back into a bug surprising him. he then started hearing the intensively sound of buzzing. He looked around and saw a bunch of red insects.
"ahhh!"- he looked at the source of the scream and his eyes widened in shock as he saw a woman turn into a mummy as all the liquids were drunk from her. And the bug that did it increased 10fold their size. Seeing this everyone then started running to no avail as the other bugs started consuming them one by one. And Gonta watched

Byakuya and Kijo looked in shock and horror as the news showed what happened and not only in those places. Mexico City was turned into a rock porcupine, shanghai was turned into a twisted mess, and Tokyo?
"the weatherman says a nimbus cloud of this size is meteorologically impossible but a cloud covering all of Tokyo is there"- a reporter man said as she looked at the cloud – "They also say that they don't know how something of this size would work and how would it….."

A ray of lighting hit the city, so powerful and bright Byakuya and his fath
