JJ had gotten there and was talking to Robert as Jayne was getting dinner ready while Holly kept her company.

"Good to see you again." Robert shook JJ's hand, not only did he know how important this man was to Jayne, he also loved getting to see Joe's pride and joy.

"You too, Robert." JJ shook his hand, he had really grown so fond of all The Scorpios.

"You know Jayne really does think the world of you. I'm glad you make her so happy." Robert walked over to the couch and took a seat.

JJ took a seat in a nearby chair. "I don't think you and Holly get just the impact you both have had on her. Jayne has always been such a strong person but when she thought she was Alistair's she really had her more timid moments. It's good to see her have the love she was always striving for from him."

"I just wish we could have given her that right from the start, I'll always have regrets about that but that's not a load you need to carry." Robert told his future son-in-law. If he could go back in time he would protect Holly and their children.

"If you ever need to talk. I'm a good listener. I think I got it from dad and Gran both, especially Gran." JJ family meant so much to him as anyone who talked to him could see.

"Rosie is definitely a good listener and your dad was one of the best. So proud of you." Robert smiled, remembering how Joe would go on about his son.

"I always did my best to do him proud, still do. Thank you for saying that." JJ loved hearing how much his father loved him even if he never doubted it.

The four of them sat down for dinner. Jayne had made some spaghetti, garlic bread and a salad on the side.

"This looks wonderful." JJ told Jayne and Holly both.

"Oh don't look at me, I may have helped a little with the salad but it was all Jayne." Holly proudly looked at her youngest child.

"Hey, do you remember that time you tried to make salad in 84?" Robert got a sparkle in his eyes as he looked at Holly.

Holly gave him a look then laughed. "Didn't quite go as planned."

"Is that the time it was more like a leafy soup?" Jayne asked, she loved hearing the stories her parents told her about their marriage.

"It very well may have been soup. She made that too. Also made us some lovely cement in the pasta maker." Robert chuckled as he took Holly's hand.

"In other words, your cooking talent is not from me. Although I will say I do have my good years." Holly knew he cooking could be hit or miss but she did enjoy trying.

"She has made a lot of wonderful meals." Robert grinned at his beautiful wife, in 85 especially she had become quite the cook. When they moved to Australia she was trying more, it was definitely a hit or miss.

"I would love to teach you some of my recipes if you are up to it mum. I think it would be fun." Jayne was always happy to spend more time with either of her parents.

"I would absolutely love that. Especially because eventually this handsome chap is going to take you away." Holly smiled over at JJ.

"Not too far though. Port Charles is our home, right Jayne?" JJ asked, not meaning to put her on the spot but they had talked about this before.

"I really wouldn't want to live anywhere else." Jayne took both of her parents' hands and squeezed them,
