Another new fanfic! Well...kinda of, some time ago I wrote an alternate take on the Sander's VS Ooarai's match, one I enjoyed writing and vowed that one day I'd write my own Sanders Girl's Academy fanfic. And here I am with the first chapter ready (and the second not too far behind!) And being able to write more scenes with Hayle (My character name for Helmet-chan) and Hanoashi is always a good time for me, writing wise.

Anyways, enjoy! Note that Blazepanzer does not own Girls und Panzer!

Her green eyes gazed at the buildings surrounding her, a pit in her belly as she walked along the roads. Why'd they have to pick Sanders of all schools...she muttered to herself. Koala would have been just as nice...heck as uncomfortable as it would have been after the break-up or fight, sending me back to Nishmari or Ooarai would have been alright. But this...

She let out a small sigh as she glanced over at her uniform, nicely pressed. Would have preferred short sleeves...she muttered.

"Ah, you must be...Hanoashi, right?" a stunned girl gasped.

"Hayle?" Hanoashi walked up, smiling. "You've cut your hair," she noted.

"Yours...stayed the same except it became more ginger," Hayle laughed.

I guess it did," Hanoashi smiled. "So you into some sort of sports or something?" she asked.

"Yep! Sensado," Hayle smirked.

"Same...or I was, complicated story. Might take it up again though," Hanoashi shrugged.

"Awesome, that means we'll be in the same clu...wait...was?" Hayle's mood went from celebratory to concerned.

"Picked a fight with my pathetic excuse of an instructor, got arrested, lost my boyfriend, then they find me innocent and ship me here. Says to join the Sander's Sensado team if I like, but not to worry about it," Hanoashi shrugged again.

"Th...that's not nothing," Hayle sighed, before embracing her in a hug. "That must have been hard on you," she sympathized.

"Er...it was scary for the first two days, then boring for the next three weeks. Next thing I know an officer comes in, tells me I'm free to go, and ships me here with a uniform and keys to a student apartment."

"Sounds like you had a rough time," Hayle noted. "Anyways, you need help finding your way to school?" Hayle asked.

Hanoashi was about to shake her head, but then she decided to ask a question. "What class do you've have?" she asked.

"A-13, first year. You?"

Same," Hanoashi smirked. "Classmates again eh?"

"Thought you were genetically Irish, not Canadian," Hayle teased. "But yeah, this is going to be so awesome!" she added. "It's been years since we've been around each other."

"Kindergarten, that was probably my most eventful year," Hanoashi sighed. "Plenty of happy times though," she added.

"You and Rikona still getting along?" Hayle asked.

"Shelia forbade her from talking to me ever since the arrest. Doesn't stop her though," Hanoashi smirked.

"Ah...that's complicated," Hayle sympathized.

"Surprised the guards let her visit like that and furthermore that they kept it a secret from Shelia," Hanoashi smirked. "But I'm grateful, her visitations really helped. Though...she's the only one in the family who wants anything to do with me...well then there's Nova who called, Rikona had to set that one up somehow," she added.

"Ah, you mentioned your brother before, is he still living in America?" Hayle asked.

"Had a girlfriend, then she moved back to Japan so they broke up. Overseas relationships having a harder time working out and such," Hanoashi paused, gasping. "Come on, we don't want to be late." she added.

"Right, follow me," Hayle smirked.

"Hanoashi Amelia Katoni...they told me you'd be coming today," a girl at the school gate noted.

"Of course, I've had a boring three and a half weeks, at this point school sounds down right exciting, and I love the tests and paperwork," Hanoashi smirked.

"That she does," Hayle attested.

"You two friends?" The guard asked.

"Yep! Though we haven't seen each other since kindergarten, until today that is," Hayle chirped.

Good to have loyal friends, well in you go then," The guard nodded.

"She's more friendly than the ones at Ooarai," Hanoashi noted.

"Well yeah, of course she is," Hayle deadpanned. "Everyone's friendly here at sanders."

"So I've heard. By the way, do you know who we're up against during the first match?" Hanoashi asked.

"Ooarai," Hayle shrugged. "They'll be easy, given that they're just starting out and got into some sort of trouble something for safety protocol, lost their original instructor and can only field half of the allotted maximum."

"So ten on five," Hanoashi shrugged. "I'm guessing that the reports didn't mention that their original instructor falsely accused me of assaulting her, did they."

"That's what you meant by get into a fight with the instructor?" Hayle gasped.

"Well, it was all just words and stuff. No blows were exchanged, I just brought up safety concerns, she expelled me from the team, then tried to falsely accuse me of assault, I got arrested, spent three and a half weeks in jail and now I'm here, my own guardian and such."

"I heard that their original instructor got barred from all Sensado fictions, can't even go within ten kilometers of a Sensado practice ground," Hayle noted.

"Yeah, that was part of the settlement I offered," Hanoashi shrugged. "But Ooarai going in half backed, yeah no that was done without my knowledge. Mostly other than keeping the instructor out of Sensado permanently before she could do anymore damage, my lawyer and I just focused on the scholarship transfer, apartment arrangements, and a lump sum payment as reimbursement," she added.

"Guessing you're not allowed to disclose how much you got?" Hayle shook her head. "Don't answer that."

"Yeah, not allowed." Hanoashi shrugged. The ministry of education gave me two and a half mill for food and rental needs, and I got about five million from Ami Chono, after lawyer dues and such, she added to herself.

"Well, I for one am glad they found you innocent. I mean seriously, my best friend from kindergarten serving time in jail for bringing up safety concerns, that's just so wrong!" Hayle noted.

"Glad you feel that way, many of my old friends and all but three of my family don't," Hanoashi muttered.

"Sorry bout tha...wait...who's the third?"

"Well, if we count Wayne, four, but that's a different topic for a different day," Hanoashi shrugged.

"Guess it is," Hayle nodded. "You'll want to wait out here, I'll let our teacher know you've come today," she added.

Hanoashi allowed herself a good look around the hallway. It was American themed, with brick outlining and lockers, billboards, and posters plastered all over. Her eyes narrowed on a Sensado recruitment poster, and let out a small noise akin to a snort. "Of course they'd be better at recruiting," she huffed, remembering the vastly lackluster attempt Ooarai had made.

Having come from a Co-ed academy, I can personally attest that doing Sensado does not make women more attractive to men. In face only five of us girls on the Sensado team even have a significant other as far as boyfriends and girlfriends were concerned, and Heather and I were the only girls with an on the team boyfriend. Then again considering that we tend to view each other as siblings rather than dating prospects...that's not surprising in the...

"You may come in now," A feminine voice echoed through the door, interrupting her thoughts.

Opening the door, she walked over to her teacher, who appeared to be Japanese, with blue eyes and long black hair...and very familiar. "Ayase-san?" She had to gasp.

"Seems you remember me," she gave a small smirk. "Class, this is Hanoashi Amelia Katoni, she'll be attending Sanders from now on due to a transfer situation." she then gazed at where Hayle was squirming. "Seriously..." Ayase muttered. "Fine, as long as you focus on your studies during class she may sit next to you Hayle," she allowed. "But first..."

"Oh...Hello, I'm Hanoashi, it's nice to meet you," Hanoashi bowed politely. "I hope we get along," she added as she rose up.

"Her Japanese is perfect," one of her classmates whispered.

"Wasn't she the former Sensado commander of the Nishmari Co-ed Middle school team?"

"Heard she got into trouble at Ooarai," another girl muttered.

Knowing where this was heading, Hanoashi tried to distract herself by taking a moment to take in the classrooms in full. Each desk had a little pad raised on it to the side that was bolted into the desk, but aside from that the classroom was much like a regular Japanese classroom save with an American flair to it. Ipads? Hanoashi wondered, before mentally snorting. Of course Sanders would have Ipads in the class. That's one reason why I didn't want to come here...

"Didn't she get arrested..."

"Alright, that's enough," Ayase snapped, before giving Hanoashi a sympathetic look. "Sorry bout them," she apologized.

"Perhaps I ought to tell them the truth now, before rumors spread," Hanoashi suggested. "If that's alright with you Sensei," she added respectfully.

"Hm...fine, we'll make up the math lesson later," Ayase allowed. "Alright, pay attention class," she added more harshly.

"It started at the end of last year. I had lead my Sensado team to the summer championship and got second place in the winter championship," Hanoashi began. "I received a letter in the mail giving me a full paid scholarship to Ooarai girl's academy, and given that I came from a poorer family, I accepted."

She paused, taking a quick glance at how the students were taking this so far, to which they all seemed to be heading her voice. Nodding slightly, she continued. "Things went well, they opened their Sensado club, I joined as the original commander of the M-3 lee. Then our practice match came, and our other most experienced student lead her team across a wire-frame rope bridge, which was suspended over a deep cavern. Long story short, I ended up pulling my emergency stop wire while having my driver spend the tracks."

She paused again, gazing down. "That's when it went wrong. Once we got back to the tank sheds, I kept quiet, intending to speak to the commander in private, that was until she began to praise the reckless student. I then spoke, up, she accused me of being rude to my comrade, I stated that all I wanted was for us to rehearse safety rules and regulations, and then she asked for my name and expelled me from the team," Hanoashi stopped and let out a sigh. "Let me be clear, there was no assault, just her falsely claiming that I assaulted her to further get rid of me. And it worked, I'm at Sanders now and had to spend three and a half weeks in jail while the authorities sussed it all out."

"Any questions?" Ayase asked.

"You...ah...didn't name the student and instructor," one of the girls noted, her tone filled with suspicion.

"I'd rather not talk bad about an elder, even if she is a scumbag in my opinion. As for the student, she was once a friend of mine, so I'd rather not drag her name in the mud like that if you don't mind. Assuming she stays on the team you'd be able to tell which one right out of the gate though," Hanoashi noted.

"If it's alright, may I ask what it was like in jail?" another girl asked.

"Mimi," Ayase hissed.

"It's alright Sensei, I don't mind discussing it" Hanoashi smoothed. "Well...it's not fun, but in some ways it's not as bad as some make it out to be. I most certainly wouldn't recommend going there still, but...well the first few days are scary and after that you're bored of the prison life. Let's just say that they work you, or evacuate you depending on how young you are, but in my case they just sent me into the computer repair job. Something of which which I did greatly enjoyed as I worked with a friend and her father part time at a small town computer refurbisher back when I lived in Nishmari."

"So...what tanks did you command at Nishmari?" a third girl asked.

"Well, initially I spend a year and a half as a driver for one of our two Soviet T-50 light tanks, then I was selected for the Deputy Commander role and swapped to commanding an early model German Panzer III, never left the tank but did become the team commander at the end of the year."

"So, was the M-3 Lee was a huge upgrade?" Hayle asked.

"A huge headache more like," Hanoashi muttered. "See, the Co-ed middle school league restricts the tanks to no more than a fifty millimeter gun or sixty millimeters of armor at their thickness, and the high school league has this team armor and gun ranking...to make a long story short the co-ed's never taught us much about fighting with dual-cannon tanks, since a tank like the M3 Lee have a total of one hundred and seven gun rank instead of a seventy five armor ranking."

The question and answering session went on for a while longer, but Hanoashi found herself soon studying with the rest of them, Ayase handing her work the same as the rest, and a ton of books to carry home.

What shocked her the most was that Sanders had both traditional work as well as work on the Ipad. Thankfully with initial help from Ayase and Hayle, she had been able to conquer the device fairly easily.

Lunch time came and to no surprise Hanoashi found herself walking alongside Hayle.

"So, what made you come to Sanders?" Hanoashi asked.

"Good grades, and a sports scholarship, Sander's somehow got permission to give one per sports position out, all things considered. I got the one for Sensado tank loader somehow." Hayle beamed.

"Congratulations," Hanoashi smiled.

"Thanks," Hayle smiled in return. "Didn't you say something about getting Ooarai's Scholarship?"

"Yeah, but I'm sore about that one," Hanoashi muttered, letting a bit of bitterness into her tone. "I mean seriously, they gave me a scholarship, but wouldn't even listen to my side of the story, just handcuffed me and packed me over to prison like I'm some sort of trash. It was only when some sort of accident happened during a supposed practice match that the guards even began asking me things."

"And that was when they found you innocent?" Hayle guessed.

"They first found me negligent," Hanoashi huffed offend. "That was until they began asking my old crew about their negligent commander," she paused, her tone growing a bit sarcastic over the whole Negligent commander bit. "Sorry Hayle, it's just...ugh! You'd think they'd have investigated more first before putting me though that. Sure, if I had to wait a bit in jail first, fine, but three weeks and a half for something they could have solved in a day or two?"

"Can't blame you," Hayle padded her on the back. "I've never even been in handcuffs before, but the whole being arrested thing sounds like it sucks."

"It does," Hanaoshi mused.

"Hope you like fast food," Hayle smirked.

"Fast food itself is fine, it's the sugar laden products I have to ignore," Hanoashi reminded her.

"Oh yeah, I'd almost forgotten about that," Hayle half gagged, half gave her a sympathetic look.

"Sorry, should have brought that up..."

"No, it's fine," Hayle smiled. "Let's go get some grub," she added.

I might have tried to sneak out an actual grub back at prison had the food not been decent and the outdoor area concrete, not that I was allowed into general population most of the time...

In the end she chose a fairly small hamburger, a medium sized fish burger with no mayo, and a water. Haley chose a double cheeseburger and a large fries with a cola. They sat together at a table with a group of girls.

"So Hayle, who's your friend?" a girl asked.

"This is Hanoashi, she just transferred here," Hayle smiled.

"Awesome, I'm Kenya," a girl introduced. "Shockingly from the same nation as well, if you can believe that" she added, her amber eyes holding a slight tease to them.

"I'm Retina," a second girl smiled.

"And my name is Tori," a third girl smiled. "You joining the swim club?" she asked.

"Sorry, my mind is made up to join the Sensado club," Hanoashi asked.

"No fair, sniping her like that," Kenya pouted. "Well, if you ever see the need to join the music club just give me a holler, alright?"

"Now who's not being fair, trying to snatch my club member," Hayle muttered teasingly.

"Can't blame a gal for trying," Kenya smirked.

"You two..." Retina muttered. "I'm on the moral's committee as a junior hall monitor and even I don't have the guts to try that," she added in explanation.

"Something tells me that Sander's culture makes that a rough task," Hanoashi noted as she took a bite of her hamburger.

"Now what would make you say a thing like that?" Kenya noted cheekily, as if to say Hanoashi was right but not quite wanting to poke at the truth.

"Right, we're supposed to be friendly and welcoming and all that, but these girls...well Hayle isn't too bad bout it, usually. Sometimes I've had to caution her to steer clear from Tori and Kenya's shenanigans, but yeah. What is worse is that unless you do something really stupid they reset the record every year," Retina nearly let out a snort of contempt, but remembered that they were eating.

Not that Hanoashi had to see the blond was struggling not to make a noise of contempt. "I had to keep two Sensado teams in line, one I did well in and the other...yeah I'd rather not go into details but let's just say that it didn't go well," she noted.

"Details or is it too gory," Tori asked.

"Tori," Hayle whinned dramatically.

"What?" Tori asked, giving her a side eye.

"No one got hurt, but the instructor and I had quite the issue of injured pride and one team almost got themselves killed. What worse is that tank's commander was, and probably is the team commander." Hanoashi shrugged.

"Wounded pride how?" Kenya asked, her eyes glowing with interest.

"Well, She tried to falsely accuse me of assault and as a result I served three and a half weeks in prison. As for the instructor...well when they found out she lied she had to pay out a settlement I cannot disclosed the amount of for legal reasons, and she's ousted from even watching a Sensado match in person, let alone having anything to do with the match and teams themselves."

"Ouch, sounds like you had it harsh," Tori sympathized.

"Ooarai girls academy?" Retina asked.

Hanaoshi let out a small nod. "Unfortunately."

"Can't say I blame you for not liking them," Kenya noted.

Lunch was soon over, while Sander's pension for fast food might have been overwhelming it wasn't like they'd ever have a McDonald's play-pen or something. Of course there was an urban legends about that among the grade-schools, Yukaro had not only fully believed but even convinced her to believe it for a bit.

The rest of the classes went by fairly smoothly, not surprising considering it was Sanders, and Hanaoshi walked along with Hayle to the office.

"So how long until I get to meet the team?" Hanoashi asked.

"A few days, Arisa will receive the forum, give her rubber stamp, and then that is that," Hayle nodded.

"Right, I'm going to drop these books off at my house and do some shopping," Hanaoshi nodded.

"You need any help?" Hayle asked.

Hanoashi shook her head. "Thanks for the offer, but I'm just going to buy some groceries, a fold up mattress, some clothes, and maybe a retro game console or something."

"Might try the local Game Stop," Hayle suggested.

"Alright, thanks for the tip," Hanoashi smiled.

Hayle stopped at the door. "Did you say a retro game console?" she asked, turning to give her a look of disbelief.

"Yeah, what's wrong with it?" Hanoashi deadpanned.

"You nerd," Hayle laughed.

"Whatever. When you have kids of your own just remember that I may be their English teacher," Hanoashi teased back. "Or babysitter."

"Wouldn't mind that if I could even get a boyfriend. Seriously do guys have something against us Sensado girls?" Hayle huffed.

The great Schism, but I'm not touching that subject with a ten foot pole at a girl's school, Hanoashi muttered inwardly, before nodding. "If Yukaro and I could stay together for a year despite both being in Sensado, you can find someone," she laughed.

"Guess so, good luck with the shopping," Hayle laughed.

"Likewise with the Sensado," Hanoashi smiled as she left, before making her way out of the door.

The Irish-dutch girl was now tired as she arrived at the Gamestop, wearing a white short sleeve tee-shirt and a pair of light blue denim shorts, with a pair of white tennis shoes and ankle socks. "Let's finish this day up," she sighed, her tiredness tempering her excitement over buy a new console and games.

Trudging into the game store, she gazed around, curious as to what she could fine. I'll have to buy myself a small tv if I find a home console, so let's try the handhelds first...hm... Her eyes sat on a cobalt Nintendo DS console.

"Ah, good eye," a gentleman behind the counter noted. "But if your buying for your son you might want to consider this red Nintendo 3DS, it's the newest Nintendo handheld at the moment," he caution.

"Son?" Hanoashi tipped her head. I wish... she added silently. Yukaro and I would have probably had one within the decade had he not cowardly broken up with me after the arrest...she winced as the thought erupted from her mind.

"Opps, sorry, thought you were an adult, we don't have too many of the Sander's girls coming in," he apologized.

"Oh, that's fine," Hanoashi smiled. I do have plenty for this purchase...so..."Any games to start out with? I mean I've played games for quite a few years now, but... just not on this system."

"Hm...what games did you play?" he asked.

"Legend of Zelda Monopoly, the first Super Mario brothers...um...a bit of Gran Trusimo...long story about that one," she noted.

"Hm...not too many good racing games comparable to Gran Trusimo, Super Mario Kart might work," he suggested.

"Might try this Pokemon Soul Silver," Hanoashi noted.

"Ah, that's a good game, I think you'll like it," he smiled.

"Can you tell me about this Urbz, Sims in the City game?" Hanoashi asked. Her heart increasingly wanted it the more he explained about it. "Alright then, I think I'll start out with Ocarina of Time 3D, Pokemon Soul Silver, and The Urbz, Sims in the City," she smiled. "And the 3DS of course," she added. "Um, it does come with a charger, right?"

"Charger and stylus," he smiled. "Might want to add a carrying case? It has a convenient holder for the games as well, just two thousand yen.

"Sure," Hanoashi smiled.

"Right, the total comes to thirty five thousand yen.

Paying the man, she smiled as she took her bag. "Thank you very much," she smiled.

"No, thank you young miss, hope you enjoy!" He smiled in return.

Right as she walked out she noticed Hayle waiting on her. "So what did you get?" she asked, falling into step with her.

"Nintendo 3DS," Hanoashi smiled.

"Awesome! That's Nintendo's latest console!" Hayle smiled. "Bet it was expensive," she added.

Thirty-five thousand yen," Hanaoshi groaned. "But at least I'll actually get to enjoy some new releases from time to time," she added.

"That's true, what color did you get?"

"Red, it's the only one they had, but meh I'm not that picky," Hanoashi smirked.

"Thought that you'd have gone for a pink," Hayle nodded.

"Meh, pink is fine for clothing and such, not so much for everything else," Hanoashi shrugged.

"I see that you've taken to wearing short shorts," Hayle smirked.

"Yeah well it's kinda a popular unofficial off duty uniform, or so I've heard," Hanoashi shrugged.

"I like shorts, they're comfy and easy to wear," Hayle noted before letting out a small giggle.

"I'm missing a joke here, ain't I?" Hanoashi asked.

"Quote from a Pokemon game," Hayle noted. "Brother let me play his old games once and a while, never really got into other games though, and sharing is tough when you only have one save file," she added.

"You never told me that you had a brother," Hanoashi tipped her head in confusion.

"Oh, right, I mean we were going to a girl's academy after all," Hayle noted. "And with you going to return to your father in a month or so at the time..."

"Still, we were like best friends Hayle," Hanoashi pouted.

"Glad to see that hasn't changed," Hayle smirked.

"I've matured since then though," Hanoashi deadpanned. "I'm not as pouty now. Besides, prison has kind of hardened me to being treated unfairly, or at least the small things."

"Oh, right, you weren't offended when that girl asked you what it was like?" Hayle inquired.

"Meh, I don't mind discussing it from time to time, or so I'd like to think" Hanoashi shrugged. "Might even let my future husband place me in the toy version of handcuffs if he wants from time to time," she added.

"You'd let him put you into bondage?" Hayle gasped.

"Well, it'd have to be something I can get out of, but prison has made me a bit more receptive to it. Not that I'd up and ask him to do it, and if he ever found out that I'd let him do it, he'd be sternly warned that anything I can't escape from without a key is going to end it." Hanoashi affirmed.

"Hm...fair enough, but are you sure prison didn't affect you negatively?" Hayle cautioned.

"It did, but I'm alright, and the justice department has stated that any therapy sessions I need are on them for the next three years, a bit of a consolation along with the housing and fund budget and transferring my scholarship on their expense." Hanoashi smiled. "Speaking of which, would you like to come over?" she asked.

"Just for a bit, my roommate will be furious if I stay out too long, and I already had dinner at the Sensado practice, so no need to fix me any," she added.

"At least let me fix you some tea then," Hanoashi requested.

"S...sure," Hayle smiled.

Arriving at the apartment, Hanoashi smiled. "Make yourself at home, it's not much but still, I'll put the tea on," she added. Walking into the kitchen area, she took out the packet and placed it into the tea making set she had, wasn't fancy or anything but it worked.

It didn't take very long and she took out two of her cups, a gray and a white one, and filled them with tea before placing them on a tray and joining Hayle.

"I see that you went with the minimalist style," Hayle smiled. "Thanks for the tea," she added as Hanoashi placed her cup on a coaster, before turning and sitting on the other side of the table, and taking a sip.

That is true, Hanoashi realized. No TV, no selves, just some basic kitchen materials, a coffee table, two cushions to sit on and my bed. Still better than what I had at the prison, but...

"So what got you into gaming?" Hayle asked, interrupting her thoughts.

"I heard about it during school and when my father and I went yard-saleing, I found a Famicom and bought it. Used it until I went to high school too," she ended with a note of pride.

"You mean Super Famicom, right?" Hayle asked, her tone in disbelief.

"Nope! Famicom! See my father allowed me to buy it under the stipulation that I use only it for a few years. He didn't think that few years would turn into eight," she smirked at the end.

"But still why stick to something old?" Hayle asked.

"Respect for my possessions," Hanoashi shrugged. "That and I kept finding new games for it, so why change. My father outright dragged me to a used game store and begged me to buy something more modern. I bought a PlayStation one and a few games." She then let out a small sigh. "Father took everything back after the arrest, said that he wished he'd kept Nova instead and everything," she added bitterly.

Oh...I'm sorry," Hayle sighed.

"No, I'm sorry, I shouldn't bring the mood down like that..."

"Nonsense, you're my friend Hanoashi, if you need to get something off your chest then I'm here for you, anytime and anyplace," Hayle interrupted, her tone serious before she let out a smile. "Besides, you've always been there for me in kindergarten, remember," she added with a gentle smile.

"Th...thanks Hayle," Hanoashi smiled. Though if I recall it was you who was there for me all the time...she added silently.

"So what games did you get?" Hayle asked.

Pokemon Soul Silver, The legend of Zelda Ocarina of time 3D, and The Urbz, Sims in the City," Hanoashi smiled.

"Awesome! I've heard that those are really great games! But...I'm surprised that Ocarina of time is on the 3DS system," Hayle smiled, but gave her a quizzical look.

"Something of a remaster if you will. Yukaro kept raving about it back in the day, so I'm kind of excited to try it."

"It's a bit violent, and who is this Yukaro?" Hayle asked.

"Boyfriend, or ex boyfriend...he broke up with me on account of the arrest," Hanoashi sighed.

"Oh, I'm sorry," Hayle apologized.

"I understand, I mean he has such a strong feeling about criminals, and I was arrested for assaulting a Sensado instructor, but still, kinda bitter about that one. He could have at least got my side of the story first," Hanoashi muttered.

"Was he a good guy?" Hayle asked, her voice filled with concern.

"He was the best, Hayle," Hanoashi whined wistfully. "And we were madly in love...set to get married and everything after school..." She then let out a long and agonizingly tired sigh.

"What ring did you want?" Hayle asked.

"Huh? Oh, I hate the sight and feeling of things stuck on my hands and fingers, so I'd forgo wearing one," Hanoashi smiled.

"But you are wearing a watch," Hayle pointed out.

"I like wearing these leather watches," Hanoashi shrugged. "The only piece of jewelry I can stand to wear to be honest."

"I guess I get it, I always assumed you'd be the kind of girl to always wear earrings, you know," Hayle shrugged.

"Ew..." Hanoashi muttered.

Guess you think piercings are nasty?" Hayle shrugged.

"Yep," Hanoashi took a sip of tea. "It's fine if a girl want's to cut holes in her body in order to dangle pieces of metal and crystals from her ears if she wants. But me personally, I find the idea of cutting holes into myself...disturbing."

"At lest you respect their right to chose," Hayle noted as she likewise took a sip. "By the way did you hear of the incident last year?"

"You mean during the Kuromorimine vs Pravda match?" Hanoashi noted. "If so then I heard way to much bout it. Co-ed Officials kept groaning on and on about that being why us co-eds have such strict safety rules and such."

"Would be nice if we had more safety rules, I mean at least Sander's provides us with helmets if we chose to wear them, but it's not mandatory. Should be sport wide," Hayle sighed.

"I'll defiantly be picking one up then," Hanoashi noted, grimacing at the thought. "Glad the Co-ed's required them, bumped my head more than a few times. Wouldn't surprise me if one of them would have otherwise scalped my hair off." she muttered.

"Yeah, that's frustrating," Haley shrugged.

"Once I got a minor concussion, thankfully no long term harm but the instructor had me sit out for three weeks," Hanoashi added.

"That must have been frustrating," Hayle sympathized. "I bet you were ticked off at him, no?" she teased.

Hanoashi shook her head. "No, ole Haruto as we call him, we all had such a respect for him that if he ever made a judgment call, we knew it was for the best. There was never any argument needed with him. And it wasn't as if having to skip a few matches was going to make them force me to resign as team commander, I'd proven myself more than competent enough to reassure them that things would be well once I returned and in the meantime," she added.

"Would you want to be team commander here?" Hayle asked.

"Maus forbid. Hayle...leading the co-ed team for two years was exhaustion enough, and we only had twelve tanks! Well thirteen after winning that summer tournament, but one of them is being donated to the forming high school team. Now imagine poor little ole me trying to helm over fifty teams when twelve caused me to be so exhausted."

"You won a championship!?" Hayle gasped, before sighing. "Wish Sanders could win, but that stinking Kuromorimine keeps hogging up the wins."

"Have they tried entering the tournament of fives?" Hanoashi asked.

"Don't think they have, why?" Hayle asked.

"It's five on five and you can only qualify bring a maximum of one heavy tank, four medium tanks, one tank destroyer, and four light tanks, up to a maximum seven tanks qualified," Hanoashi smiled. "All we'd need is one heavy or light tank to qualify for the minimum and we could send in a decent but not top team," she explained.

"Maybe you and Kay ought to discuss it then," Hayle smiled, before her phone dinged. "Opps, she's starting to miss me," she groaned.

"Can we...exchange phone numbers?" Hanoashi asked.

"Sure!" Hayely smiled as Hanoashi took out her phone. Rising up, Hayle bowed gently. "Thanks for having me over," she smiled.

"Anytime," Hanoashi smiled as she watched her friend leave. "Maus I've missed her," she realized, memories of her brief time as her kindergarten classmate flooded through her.
