A/N: Okay its been a while since I've even looked at any of my SOA stories but I missed them. I'd been focusing a lot of time on a couple of other stories that I had. So I read through some of my SOA stories and then I remembered how much I enjoyed writing this one. So I re-read what I'd already written and I finally got this chapter done. There's not much actual dialogue from the episode in this chapter but a lot happens and it's a super long chapter. Over 4000 words. I hope you guys enjoy this chapter. Don't forget to read, review and favorite.
Chapter 9: Old Bones
Bella POV
I sat up straight and looked at Ope. He'd just asked me to move in with him. "What?" Was the only thing that I'd said.
I guess my face said it all. "What's wrong?" He asked me.
I shook my head. "Nothing. I just… I just I don't know what to say." I said.
Ope scooted closer to me on the couch. He grabbed my hand. "I've been thinking about it for a while. Bells, other than my kids, you mean everything to me. I love having you here. I love going to sleep next to you and I love that when I wake up in the mornings that you're the first face that I see." He told me.
"Ope…" I said as I felt a few tears run down my cheek.
"Bells, I love you and I wanna start building a life with you. This is the first step. Please?" He said with such love.
I nodded my head, unable to speak. He pulled me into his lap, pulling me close and kissing me.
The next morning, I was sitting at the kitchen table drinking a cup of coffee, thinking about my life. It had been a month since I'd first come to Charming. I couldn't help but think about how much my life had changed. Charlie had done a great job raising me but when I'd found out that he wasn't actually my father part of me had been relieved but it didn't mean that I loved him any less. When I'd actually gotten to Charming, I'd reconnected with my Aunt Gem and found my father. That didn't even take into account everyone else that I'd met along the way.
Jax POV
Tara had called me and asked if I could give her a ride home from the hospital. As I drove the familiar roads to her house I'd noticed that there was a car following us. It was a few minutes later when I pulled into her driveway. I noticed that the Cutlass wasn't there. "Appreciate the ride." Tara said.
"No problem. Where's the Cutlass?" I said.
"Oh, it's at the hospital." She said.
"Still not running right?" I asked. Something was going on.
She nodded. "It's running okay." She said.
"This worry I'm getting here… that have anything to do with that car that's been following us?" I asked. She looked around me down the street. "The compact parked halfway down the block." I said. She turned and started to unlock her front door. "Tara! What the hell's going on?"
She turned to look at me. "That ATF Agent that's been looking into you guys… I think he's here for me." She said.
I was confused. "What are you talking about?" I asked.
Tara sighed. "I was with him in Chicago. It got violent. I tried to end it. He started stalking me." She said. I stepped off her porch and started down the driveway. "Jax. Don't. He's dangerous."
"Go back inside, Tara." I said. "Lock the door." I made my way down the street to where the car was parked. I jammed my knife into the grill of his car.
He climbed out of the car. "Vandalism. Deadly weapon. That's six months in County, asshole." Kohn said.
"Violating a restraining order. You'll be in the cell next to me." I said. I smirked at him. "They teach you how to suck dick in ATF school."
"Badass biker." He said.
"You guys gave it your best shot. You got nothing on Sam Crow. And you harassing Tara, that ends here… or next time it won't be a piece-of-shit car I'm draining fluid from." I said.
"You threatening a federal agent?" He asked me.
"I'm threatening you. Go away. It's my last warning." I told him.
When I'd left Tara's house, I headed down to Charming PD to talk to Hale. "You better rein in your ATF boyfriend." I said.
Hale looked at me. "Agent Kohn isn't on my payroll. I don't keep tabs." Hale said.
"Yeah, well, maybe you should. He's not here for Sam Crow, Hale." I told him. He looked at me confused. "He's here for Tara."
"What the hell are you talking about?" He asked me.
"This guy was stalking her in Chicago. Thinks she came back to Charming to be with me. I'm telling you, this guy is nuts, and he's gonna hurt her." I told him.
"Jesus Christ. That's who she had a restraining order against." Hale said.
"You knew?" I asked.
"No, but it makes sense now." Hale said.
"Hale! Let's go hotshot. Water and Power just dug up some old bones out on 44." Unser said.
"Be there in a minute. Kohn is my problem. I will handle it." He said.
"You better, man, or I'm gonna." I said storming out of the station.
Alice POV
They were dead. They had to be. There was no way that they weren't dead. It had been 48 hours since I'd last heard from Edward and Emmett. I'd started smashing things around the house. So had Rose. She was pissed now… as was I. I was standing in the kitchen with Rose, Esme and Carlisle, drinking a glass of red wine. "We never should have sent Edward and Emmett to take care of this." I said sitting my wine glass down on the counter.
"You want something done right, you send a woman." Rose said and I nodded.
I looked over at Carlisle. "With Edward dead, what does Jane plan to do with Bella now?" I asked.
"I think she plans to marry her to Alec." He said. I loved Bella like a sister, but I couldn't forgive the fact that she'd gotten Jasper taken hostage, and Edward and Emmett were dead.
"So what's our plan?" I asked.
Bella POV
I was sitting in the living room at Ope's. I knew that I had to tell Dad that I was moving in at Ope's but I wasn't sure how to do it. I mean I'm sure that he knew that things were moving in that direction but actually hearing the words would be completely different.
Before having to pick up Kenny and Ellie from school I decided to go see my dad. I knew that he'd be at the garage so that's where I headed.
When I pulled in at the garage I parked next to Gemma in my usual spot. I climbed out of my car and walked over to the office to see Aunt Gem. "Hey." I said when I walked in.
She looked up at me. "Hey baby." She said. "Everything okay?"
I nodded. "Yeah. Is dad around?" I asked. Gem pointed to the ring. "Thanks."
I walked out of the office and over to the ring. "Hands up Lowell." I heard Bobby say. "Keeps your hands up Lowell."
I saw Dad sitting with Bobby, while Chibs was instructing Lowell. "Anyone can beat up a junkie prospect. It doesn't mean shit."
"Hey Pop." I said.
He turned towards me. "Hey kid. What you up to?" He asked me.
"Came to talk to you."
"What's on your mind?" He asked me.
"Ope asked me to move in with him and the kids." I told him.
He ran his hand over his face. "This what you want?" He asked me.
I thought about it for a second. Ope, Kenny and Ellie meant everything to me. "Yeah Dad, I do." I told him.
He smiled at me. "What can I do?" He asked.
"Tig!" I heard Uncle Clay yell.
"Be right there." Dad said. "Listen I gotta run, but… I'll… come by for dinner tonight and we can all talk, okay?"
"Thanks Dad." I said. I walked back over to the office to say bye to Aunt Gem and then headed off to pick up Kenny and Ellie and then figure out dinner.
I had just walked in the door when my cell rang. I pulled it out of my back pocket and looked at the caller id, Washington. I flipped it open. "Hello?" I said.
"Bells." Alice said barely above a whisper.
"Alice. What's wrong?" I asked.
"Edward and Emmett are missing and Jane has Jasper. I need to you to come to Forks." Alice said.
I had to keep her talking and I had to get Ope here. "What do you mean that Jane has Jasper?" I say pulling the phone away from my ear, putting her on speaker and quickly sending Ope a text.
"When Jane found out the Edward broke up with you, she took Jasper and said that he wouldn't be returned until you came back to Forks and talked to her." Alice said.
"Alice… did you know about Alec?" I asked her. Alice had been my friend, my only female friend at that.
"What do you mean?" She asked back. She was deflecting. I heard the front door open and Ope and Jax came running in.
"I mean did you know that when Edward dropped me off that Alec was going to be waiting in the shadows. That he was going to drag me into the woods…and" I said my voice starting to crack. I felt Ope's hand on my shoulder. "That he… that he was going to rape me." I finally finished.
"Bella…I…I didn't know." She said.
I could feel the tears. "Is she coming after me?" I asked.
Alice was quiet for a minute. "Yes." She said and I felt the tears roll down my face.
"You can tell Jane to kiss my ass. I'm not coming back to Charming." I said.
"Bells, I really think that you should reconsider that. I'd really hate for something to happen to Charlie or even Jacob." Alice said coldly.
I clenched my jaw. "Is that a threat?" I asked.
"Think of it as a piece of friendly advice. I'll be in touch." Alice said before she hung up. I closed my phone and then threw it across the kitchen. "That bitch." I yelled.
Ope pulled me into his arms and held me tight. "Hey it's okay." He whispered, kissing the top of my head. "Nobody and I mean nobody is gonna hurt you." He told me.
I pulled back from him and looked up. "There not gonna stop. Not until Jane has me." I said.
"I talked to Clay. He's having Juice get information on the Volturi." I heard Dad say.
"Thanks Dad." I said, once I'd calmed down. I turned and looked at Jax. "You staying for dinner?" I asked.
He shook his head. "Naw. I gotta check on Tara. She seems freaked." He said and I nodded.
I made my way through the kitchen getting everything I needed to fix dinner. Dad, Jax and Opie made their way through the living out to the driveway.
Opie POV
When Tig, Jax and I made our way out to the driveway, I ran my hand over my face. "I don't know what to do. She's completely freaked. She keeps looking over her shoulder and she's not sleeping." I told them.
"Maybe the two of you should go to the cabin for a few days. Clear you head, relax. Come back refreshed." Jax said.
I looked over at Tig. "It's not the worst idea in the world." Tig said.
I nodded. "Yeah, I'll talk to her about it." I said.
Jax pulled his phone out of his pocket. He opened it, looked at it and then closed it again. "Alright. Tig we gotta go." Jax said.
"Alright. Tell her I'll be back." Tig said and I nodded.
Jax POV
When Tig and I got back to the Clubhouse, the guys were gathering around the table. "Where's Ope?" Clay asked me.
I ran a hand over my face knowing that this wasn't gonna be pretty. "He's with Bells. Those assholes in Washington called her and they've got her freaked." I told him. "Ope stayed with her."
"And the hits keep coming." Clay said.
"What's going on?" I asked.
"Water and Power dug up a couple of bodies out on 44." Bobby said.
I sat back in my chair. "Shit. Was this us?" I asked him. He nodded.
"Yep. Back in 92… Mexicans tried to expand their Oakland dope base, set up a charter in Lodi." Clay said.
"We couldn't let that happen." Tig said.
"It was a bloody two years. Bodies dropped." Clay said.
"Yeah I remember. That was right around the time my old man died." I said.
"That's right." Clay said. "We gotta stop the P.D. from I. those bodies." Clay said.
Later that night… Bella POV
Dad had showed back up right as I was putting dinner on the table. We sat around making light conversation, not wanting to talk about me moving in with Ope and the kids until the kids had gone to their rooms. After we ate I looked at the kids. "Clean your rooms, get ready for bed." I told them.
Kenny nodded. "Sure thing Bella." Ellie said as they headed off to their rooms.
Ope, Dad and I stayed at the table. "Your good with them." Dad said surprised.
I went to the fridge to get Dad and Ope a beer. I smiled. "I try. They make it easy though. Ellie's a big help when it comes to Kenny though." I told him.
"That's good. You seem…relaxed here." Dad said. I wasn't sure where this conversation was going.
I looked at Ope. "I guess I am. I mean it's not that I'm not relaxed at home, it's just… Dad, your single and you're not exactly old…" I tried to say but nothing I tried to say made sense.
Dad put his hand on mine. "I'm good kid. I just want you to be happy. You've had a rough go of it lately and I know that your just trying to find a balance." Dad said. Dad might be tough but when it came to me he was a big softy. "This is what you want?" He asked me. It had be become the only question asked when it came to life changing decisions regarding me and Ope.
I looked over at Ope and smiled. Then I looked back at Dad. "It is. Ope and I are trying to build a life together." I told him.
Dad sat back in his chair. "You know, I think back to the day that you came to Charming, quite often. You came here to find me and build a relationship with me… but I think that it was fate that you met Opie before anyone. You were able to talk about things that were on your mind that you needed to get off your chest and he was able to talk about the damage that Donna left behind. I've been watching the two of you since you started spending time together and… I think that your just what each other needs… not to mention what the kids need." Dad said.
I could feel a couple of tears fall down my face. "Thanks dad. It really means a lot to both of us, at how supportive you've been… Piney and Mary too." I said. I turned to Ope. "Speaking of… you need to take your dad a plate of food. It's in the oven." I told Ope.
He nodded. He stood up and went to the oven and grabbed the plate before heading to the front door. "I love you kid." Dad said.
I smiled at Dad. "I love you too." I said.
Opie POV
When I pulled up at the clubhouse, it was quiet. I made my way inside to find Dad sitting at the bar. "Hey Pop." I said, sitting on the bar stool next to him.
"Hey, what're you doing here?" He asked me.
I sat the plate down between us. "Bells thought you might want a home cooked meal." I said.
He smiled. "That's a good one you've got there." He said.
He didn't seem near as drunk as he normally would. "Yeah. She's great. Actually, I asked her to move in with me and the kids. I want to build a life with her. I love her, Pop." I told him.
He put a hand on my shoulder. "I'm happy for you son. She's a great girl, just remember if she gets hurt, it's not just Tig that'll be after you. It'll be Gemma, Jax and Clay too." Dad said.
I nodded. "I know." I told him. "Bells wanted me to thank you for being so supportive of our relationship. She knows that everyone was skeptical at first because of how fast things happened, but we still appreciate the support." I said.
"Ope, all I want is for you and the kids to be happy." Dad said. I smiled at him.
When I got back to the house, Bells had already changed into her pjs and was stretched out on the bed. I stood in the doorway to the bedroom and watched her. She looked up at me. "Hey." She said, smiling at me.
I smiled at her. "Hey. So I had a thought. What do you say that we leave the kids with my mom this weekend and we go to the cabin. Just the two of us. Relax, clear our heads. Forget about the shit going on here, forget about the Washington shit… just be." I said, leaning against the doorframe.
She sat up on her knees and I realized that she was only wearing a tank top and her panties. "You mean it?" She asked me.
Bella POV
He nodded. "Yeah. We haven't gotten much time just the two of us lately between the mill and the club." He said. "I think it would be nice." I slowly got up from the bed and walked over to him. He stepped into the bedroom and shut the door. "That all you've been wearing this entire time?" He asked me.
I nodded. "You like it?" I asked seductively.
He put his hands on my hips and pulled me flush against him. "Oh I'm loving everything about this outfit right now." He said leaning down and kissing me. He picked me up and I wrapped my legs around his waist. He turned us so that I was pinned against the door. He reached up and tucked a piece of hair behind my ear. "God! How did I get so lucky?" He said.
I reached up and placed my hand on his cheek. "I'm the lucky one." I said before I leaned forward and kissed him. He held me there…pressed against the door and kissed me with everything that he had. When breathing became necessary, he pulled back and leaned his forehead against me. I could feel my need for him building. "Ope…" I breathed out. He carried me over to the bed and gently sat down with me straddling his lap. I ground my hips into him. I heard him moan. I stood up pulling him with me. "Baby, your wearing too many clothes." I said, making quick work pulling his t-shirt off of him.
He groaned. "Your killing me Bells." He whispered.
"Strip." I smirked, reaching for his belt buckle. Once I'd gotten his jeans undone and gotten him out of them, he sat back down pulling me back to his lap. I quickly pulled my tank top off and tossed it behind me. I wrapped my arms around his neck and started to grind my hips again.
He moaned. "Your teasing me." He said.
"What are you gonna do about it?" I asked him.
He quickly lifted me up and flipped us so that I was laying on the bed and he was hovering over me. "I'm gonna do this." He said kissing my neck. Then he started trailing kisses down my body. When he got to my hips, he placed several kisses causing me to moan. He grabbed the sides of my panties and quick pulled them down before coming back to my clit. He ran his finger feeling my wetness. "Baby, your so wet." He said and it turned me on even more.
"Ope…" I moaned.
"Tell me baby what do you want?" He said as he started rubbing my clit.
"You baby… all I want is you." I said, bucking my hips up to meet his hand.
"Is that so?" He asked. With his free hand, he stuck a finger inside me and started pumping.
"Yes…baby." I moaned out. I could feel my orgasm building and apparently Ope could too because he started rubbing and pumping faster and harder. "Ope…I'm gonna cum." I said between moans.
"Cum for me babe… Just let go." He said as I started tightening around his fingers.
"Ope!" I said as my orgasm hit, causing him to lean up and kiss me so that I didn't wake the kids up. When my breathing returned to normal, Ope removed his fingers from inside me but kept the pressure on my clit. I quickly pushed him off and pushed him onto his back. I slid his boxers down and tossed them onto the floor. I made my way back up to his face and kissed him. He grabbed my hips and pulled me as close to him as possible. When I pulled back, I straddled him, lining him up with my entrance. "Your turn." I whispered and he nodded. He held onto my hips as I began to rock back and forth.
He moaned. "Bells…god that feels good." He said.
I decided to push him further. "You like that baby…" I said, I ground my hips into him further.
"Yes baby. Don't stop." He moaned. "God Bells." He said as he started to twitch.
"Let go baby…Just let go." I said as he reached his climax.
A little while later, Ope and I were laying there tangled in the sheets my head laying on his chest and him running his fingers through my hair. "Ope?"
"Hmm…" He said.
"You know that I'd never ask you to choose right?" I asked him, looking up at him and seeing that his eyes were closed.
He opened them and looked down at me. "What do you mean?" He asked me.
I sat up and looked at him. "I was talking to Aunt Gem the other day and she was telling me that Donna used to try to get you to choose between your family and the Club. I just wanted you to know that I would never ask that. The Club is our family." I said.
He pulled me to him and kissed me. "Your amazing you know that?" He said.
"I try." I said before laying back down and falling asleep.
Tig POV
The next morning I was sitting at the bar drinking a cup of coffee when Jax and Tara came walking through. "Morning." I said.
"Morning." Jax said walking around the bar to pour him and Tara a cup of coffee.
"Tara. Got a question for you." I said and she looked up at me.
"Shoot." She said.
"I have an infected dog bite. Any chance you can get me a script for antibiotics?" I asked her.
"Crappy insurance?" She asked me and I nodded. "Come see me at the hospital later. I'll take a look and write you a script." Tara said.
"Thanks Doc." I said. "Oh, Ope and Bells are heading to the cabin today." I told them.
"Everything okay?" Jax asked.
"Yeah. Just destressing." I told them. Jax nodded.
Maybe once this shit was done with we could focus on the Washington shit. I hated that my daughter didn't feel safe. She was trying to build a life with Opie and I wanted that for her. I could see them getting married some day and maybe even having a couple of kids. I just hoped that we could deal with the couple of threats we had, quietly and quickly.
