A/N: Okay here's the next chapter. Picks up day before Abel's homecoming. It's long. Hope you guys enjoy it. Had to split Abel's homecoming into two chapters so here's the first part.

Chapter 15

Bella POV

Things had been crazy the last couple of weeks. Opie and I had been dealing with the Donna and the drama that had spiked from that. She wasn't exactly happy that Ope told her that the kids wanted nothing to do with her. Not to mention the fact that he refused to meet up with her without me by his side. She kept insisting that she wanted to talk to him "alone" but when he shot it down, she'd glare at me. I knew that she was going to try something, but I trusted Ope. I knew that he wouldn't betray me.

Gem was keeping the kids tonight so that Ope and I could go to a party at the clubhouse. It was the first one since Bobby had been arrested for the murder of the Port Commissioner. Dad said that there was nothing to worry about but I couldn't help but worry. When we walked into the clubhouse, Dad was the first one that I found. He came over and greeted me. "Hey baby girl." He said hugging me and kissing my cheek.

"Hey Dad." I said, hugging him back. After I greeted him, I walked over to the bar where Tara was standing and ordered myself a drink. "Hey." I said.

She smiled at me. "So Wendy is back." She said, handing me a shot.

"Lovely. Here's to baby mama drama." I said.

"I'll drink to that." She said and we downed our shots. Over the past couple of weeks Tara and I had gotten close. We'd found out that we actually had a lot in common. Not to mention she knew things about Donna that Ope and I could use to keep her away from the kids. "So, how's things going on the Donna front?" She asked me.

I shrugged. "It's tense. I know that she has something up her sleeve but I haven't figured out what it is yet. She stopped by the house when she first got into town and completely freaked Ellie out. Then she tried to force her way into the house the other day." I told her.

"What happened?" She asked me.

I thought back to Donna's surprise visit the other day and told her.

***Flashback***

Ope and the kids were in the backyard getting ready to grill. We were waiting on Dad, Jax and Tara before we through the food on the grill. I was in the kitchen fixing the salad and sides when I heard the doorbell. I walked out of the kitchen, through the living room to the front door. I opened it. "What do you want?" I asked.

"What are you doing in my house?" Donna asked me angrily.

"I live here. What do you want?" I said.

"I need to talk to Opie without you whispering in his ear." Donna said.

"I don't need to whisper anything in his ear. You leaving and breaking his and the kids' heart…that was enough for him to not want to talk to you." I said.

It was in that moment that Donna tried to force her way past me and into the house. I was able to stop her, but I think that it made her angry. Then I heard Ope's voice behind me. "Donna, what are you doing here?" Ope asked her coming up behind me and wrapping his arm around my waist.

Donna glared at me. "What is she doing living in my house?" Donna asked him.

Ope gently moved me to the side. He got in Donna's face. "You left. You didn't want me and you didn't want the kids. You got your wish, we're not your anymore. However, Bells wanted me and she wanted the kids. You will not show up here and dictate to her what she is going to do in her own house. Now, you can either play nice with her or I will be filing a restraining order." Ope said before he slammed the door in Donna's face.

***End Flashback***

"It was that bad?" Tara asked me.

I nodded. "Yeah. It was ugly. The next morning Hale showed up and said that Donna filed a complaint that she was threatened. So now everything is having to go through the lawyers." I told Tara.

"Wow. Nothing like some SAMCRO drama." Tara said.

I nodded as we were handed two more shots. Tara and I downed our shots. "So what's going on with Wendy?" I asked her.

"According to Jax, she's sober and she moves into her sober living facility next week." Tara said. "I don't know. She cornered me this morning outside the hospital. Asked me about me and Jax. Says that she wants her family back."

"You tell Jax?" I asked and she shook her head. "You believe her?"

She shrugged. "I don't know. Jax is letting her stay at the house cause she doesn't have the money for a hotel so he's still staying here. I don't really know what to believe." She said.

"Honestly, I don't know what to tell you other than just get through Abel coming home next week and Wendy moving to sober living. I think that's all you can do." I told her. She gave me a weak smile.

Jax POV

Ope and I were shooting a game of pool. I glanced over at the bar and saw Bells and Tara sitting there talking. I nodded my head to the bar. "Is that new?" I asked him.

"They've been hanging out. Bells said they actually have a good bit in common. I think she's just happy to have a female friend around. Bells realized right after Donna came back that she didn't really have anybody that she could talk to other than Gem. So after she checked on Abel one day, she caught Tara at the hospital and they got to talking. They get lunch a couple times a week." Ope told me.

I didn't even realize that they had become friends. "How's that going? With Donna?" I asked him.

He shrugged. "She's been threatening Bells, scaring the kids. Bells is thinking about filing a restraining order. I don't know man. One the one hand, I feel like I don't owe Donna anything but on the other hand… she's the mother of my kids." He said.

I could definitely relate to that… especially with Wendy being around. "I can understand that. Wendy's been hanging around." I told him.

"Be careful with that one brother. Tara has surgical skills and now that she's friends with Bells… I'd hate to go up against those two." Ope said laughing.

"Your right on that one."

Bells POV

Tara and I had a couple more drinks before Ope made his way over to me and put his arm around my shoulder. He leaned down and whispered in my ear. "You think that I could tear those clothes off of you now?" He asked.

I turned my head and looked into his eyes. "I think that could be arranged." I said to him. I looked back at Tara. "You're on your own." I told her with a smile.

Ope grabbed my hand and led me back to the dorm room. Once we were inside and the door was shut, he pushed me up against the door. "Have I told you how hot you look tonight?" He asked me.

I shook my head. "No but I could feel your eyes on me all night." I told him.

He leaned down and kissed me. He was starting to deepen the kiss when we heard a knock on the door. "Hey guys!" Jax said. "You might want to get out here. You have a problem."

"Fuck." I said. Ope and I walked back out to the barroom and I saw Donna standing next to Tara. Tara and I shared the same look. "What the fuck are you doing here?" I asked her.

Donna turned and glared at me. "Where are my kids?" She asked never taking her eyes off of me.

"None of your business. Get out." I said making my way to her.

"You can't kick me out of here. Only SAMCRO can." Donna said.

I saw Jax out of the corner of my eye start to move towards us with my Dad next to him. I held my hand out towards them telling them to stop. "First off… SAMCRO is my family. I'm the niece to the Prez and cousin to the VP. My father is the SAA. Second off… I know for a fact that Chief Unser gave you a friendly warning the other day to steer clear of me. So why are you here?" I said.

"I was hoping that you and your bitch ass attitude wouldn't be here and I could talk to Ope." Donna said.

I watched Tara back away right before my fist collided with her face. "Nobody talks to me like that. Ope has already told you that he will not talk to you alone. What part of that can't you understand." I said.

"I don't know how you have brainwashed him and my kids but I will get rid of you… and soon." Donna said before turning and heading towards the door.

"Bitch… the only person here that is brainwashed is you. You can't seem to remember that you fucked everything up. You threw away the best fucking thing that you had. You threw away Ope and you threw away your kids. But you know what… that's okay." I said taking a few steps towards her. "Because unlike you… I am woman enough to take care of them. Now, last time. Get. Out." I said.

I stood there and watched as Donna turned on her heel and walked out of the clubhouse. I turned around and noticed that every person in the clubhouse was staring at me. Dad was the first person to reach me. "You okay?" He asked me.

I looked up at him. "Peachy. I'm going to get some ice for my hand." I said, walking past everyone to the kitchen so I could get some ice. I grabbed a ziplock bag and put some ice in it. I sat on the stool in the kitchen and held the bag on my hand. I looked up when I heard footsteps.

"You okay?" Ope asked me.

I weakly smiled at him. "I'm fine. My knuckles will probably be bruised." I told him.

He walked over to me. "I'm sorry." He said.

I looked up at him. "Why are you sorry? It's not your fault that I punched her." I told him.

"Yeah, but she's got it in her head that I would leave you and welcome her back with open arms." He said. He sighed and ran a hand over his face. "Sometimes I think about how good things were before I got locked up and then I remember that she couldn't even wait a full day before she packed up and bolted." He said and I nodded, knowing that Donna being back around had been hard for him. "But then I think about how good things have been since you walked into my life." He said.

"Ope, I love you and I'll do whatever you want when it comes to Donna, but there's no way that I'm just gonna let her run her mouth about my family." I told him, taking the bag of ice off my hand and tossed it in the sink. "I think…I'm gonna go home." I stood up and walked around him.

I walked out to the barroom. I found my dad. "Dad…" I said and he looked up me. "Can you give me a ride home?" I asked and he nodded.

Opie POV

I sat there and watched Tig and Bells leave the parking lot. I lit a cigarette. Donna was starting to cause problems between me and Bells now. I couldn't let that happen. Jax walked out of the clubhouse and joined me. "Everything okay?" He asked me.

"I have no idea. Donna's causing problems and I'm terrified that I'm gonna lose Bells." I told him. "I've never cared for another woman the way that I do her."

"So how're you gonna fix it?" He asked me.

I ran a hand over my face. "I have no idea. I wished that Donna would just leave town." I said standing up and walking back inside. I knew that Bells needed some time to cool off.

Jax POV

I waited outside for Tig to get back. When he pulled in and climbed off his bike, he walked over to me. "She ok?" I asked him.

"She says she is but I know that it's something else." Tig said.

"Ope said that Donna's causing problems." I told him.

He had this wicked grin on his face. "I'll take care of it." Tig said.

I nodded and made my way back into the clubhouse. Ope was sitting at the bar drinking a beer. I walked over to where Clay was shooting a game of pool with Chibs. "Everything okay?" Clay asked me.

I lit a cigarette and shrugged my shoulders. "Baby mama drama. Donna's causing problems for Ope and Bells. Tig said he's gonna take care of it." I told them and they nodded. "Gonna try and see if I can convince Ope to go home." I said making my way over to the bar. "Hey man." I said, the Prospect handing me another beer.

"I'm gonna fucking lose her. I know it." Ope said.

"You're not gonna lose Bells. She's crazy about you. She loves you." I told him.

He shook his head. "This shit with Donna… it's too much." He said.

"Why don't you just go home and talk to her." I said. He stared down at his beer bottle. "You need to work this shit out with her." I told him. "Come on, I'll give you a ride in Tara's car." I told him.

"Yeah ok."

When I knocked on Ope's front door, it took a few minutes before Bells opened the door. "I'll get him in bed." I told her and she let me in. Once I got him in bed, I walked back out to the living room where Bells was sitting on the couch. "He's afraid that he's gonna lose you over this Donna shit." I told her.

She leaned against the back of the couch. "I can't help but feel like he wants her to come home." She told me. "Ever since Donna blew back into town, things have been hard between us. I mean, I understand the reasoning behind him not wanting to meet with her alone… he wants me to know that he's going to be faithful, but I can't shake this feeling that something bad is gonna happen."

I walked over and sat beside her. She laid her head on my shoulder. "Everything is gonna be okay." I told her.

Bella POV

The next morning, I was up early. I had to go over to Jax's house to help decorate for Abel's homecoming party. I was in the bathroom getting ready when the bathroom door opened. "Morning." Ope said.

"Morning. How's your head?" I asked, knowing that he most likely had a hangover.

"It's not bad. I feel like an idiot though." He said.

I looked at him in the mirror. "Why?" I asked.

"Because I let you just walk out of the clubhouse last night." He said, stepping behind me and wrapping his arms around my waist. "Bells, I love you so much. I know that you've been having doubts since Donna's been back in town. It was written all over your face last night." He leaned down and kissed the side of my neck. "I don't need or want Donna back. I don't still love her. You're the only woman that I need." He told me.

I turned around in his arms. "I know that on the outside, I may look tough but I still have insecurities. I love you Ope. I love the kids. They may not be mine but I will fight anyone that tries to hurt them…and that includes Donna. But you need to decide what your gonna do because she can't keep imposing on our life." I said. He nodded before he grabbed my face and kissed me…hard.

And hour later, I was walking into Jax's house. Wendy was in the kitchen with Gemma and they were prepping food for that night. "Morning." I said, sitting my phone and keys on the table.

"Morning baby." Aunt Gem said, putting a roast in the oven. "Heard there was some drama last night."

"Yeah, Donna showed up at the Clubhouse, I guess thinking that I would be at home. I think that she was hoping to catch Ope alone. Well, when she realized that I was there she flipped out that I was there and that neither of us was with the kids." I said sitting down at the kitchen table. "Then she started talking shit about the family and I just fucking lost it. And I hit her. I just couldn't take it anymore." I told them.

"Oh honey." Aunt Gem said walking over and sitting across from me at the table. "Where are the kids?" She asked me after a few minutes.

"Mary came and picked them up this morning when Ope got back to the house. Said she wanted to spend time with them." I told her.

"Wow." Wendy said.

It was the first time that she'd spoken since I'd gotten there. "Sorry. I'm Bella, Gemma's niece." I said.

"Wendy." She said.

"I know." I said. My phone vibrated on the table. I picked it up and saw that I had a text message. I opened it.

Meet me at the diner. 2 pm.

I still had a few hours. "Need me to do anything?" I asked closing my phone.

"Nope. Why don't you run over to TM and check on things." Aunt Gemma said.

"Sure." I said. "Nice to meet you Wendy."

That afternoon, I was sitting in the diner in a back booth waiting. At 2 o'clock on the dot, I noticed her. I was shocked to say the least. She walked over to me and sat down across from me. "You're the one who texted me?" I asked.

"Before you walk out, please hear me out." She said.

"Why?" I asked.

She let out a sigh. "I saw Mary this morning. Now it's no secret that the entire time that Opie and I were married, she kept putting thoughts into my head. Stuff about the fact that the Club was going to get Opie killed. But when I saw her this morning, she told me how good you and Opie are together. She told me how much you do for my kids and how much you care about them. I guess I was quick to judge that someone could just step in and replace me in their lives and hearts." Donna said.

"I could never replace you. That's not what I'm trying to do. Look, I get it. It's hard to see your family moving on without you. I get it more than you think that I do. My mom left me. She left me without so much as a second glance. But in the end, I found where I was supposed to be. I meant what I said a couple of weeks ago. Ope won't keep you from the kids…if it's what they want…but you can't keep showing up unannounced and trying to split me and Ope up. We're a team and we don't keep secrets from each other." I told her.

She nodded. "It's not gonna be a problem anymore. I realized something this morning…Charming isn't my home anymore." She slid an envelope across the table to me.

"What's this?" I asked.

"It's adoption papers. Kenny and Ellie should have a mom that they can depend on. I've burnt my bridge with them. Your better for them then I ever will be." She said. "Don't let any of them go."

"I won't."
