A/N: Okay so now we're at the start of season 2. For those who haven't figured it out, I'm going through each season. Some chapters will correspond with an episode. If it does the episode name will be in the title. Now because it's a cross over with Twilight, I'm having to figure out how to work in the twilight characters. If you guys wanna know what characters are in play right now, let me know and I can do an author's note with a list of characters that I'm currently using in the story. Okay here we go.
Chapter 17: Albification
Opie POV
We'd been searching for Bells for two months. Everytime we get a lead it turns out to be a dead end. Mom's been staying at the house with me to help with the kids, so that when we get a new lead on Bells we can take off and look into it. Everyone keeps telling me that we're gonna find her but I can't help but feel that she's gone. Tig's been miserable. He feels like it's his fault. He keeps saying that if he hadn't gone to talk to Donna that none of this would have happened. I don't know… maybe it would maybe it wouldn't. I feel like Jax blames me that she's gone. That it's my fault that my ex-wife is crazy. Then there's the kids. They keep asking me when Bells is coming home. The only thing that I can tell them is that she'll be home soon.
Jax POV
Tara has been staying at the house with me. It's not that I don't want her too, I just think that she's afraid to stay alone because of what happened with Bells. Tara keeps asking me if we've heard anything. I think she blames herself because she wasn't able to stop Donna from taking Bells. Ma thinks that she might have an idea of where Donna could be hiding out. She was gonna talk to Clay about it today and hopefully we could check it out. This morning we are heading to meet Cameron. Gotta love the fucking Irish. They have the worst fucking timing…but Clay said that we gotta keep business going. At least Bobby's getting out today.
Gemma POV
I told Clay about where I thought Donna might be hiding out. Her parents had owned a cabin out on the outskirts of Charming. I still had the address. Part of me hoped that I was wrong but the other part of me hoped that she was there. Then we could put all of this shit behind us. Jax and Tara were getting closer and deep down I knew that there were multiple reasons for that. The main one being Bella's disappearance, the others I wasn't exactly sure of. What I did know was that she'd been helping Jax out with Abel. Which I was grateful for because god knows that boy needed it. Part of me had hoped that Jax would've worked things out with Wendy, but Bells had knocked some sense into me.
***Flashback***
Bells had been helping me set everything up for Abel's homecoming party the next night. She'd overheard me and Wendy talking before she left to go get a few things. "Gem, what are you trying to do?" Bells asked me walking into the kitchen.
"What do you mean?" I asked her.
"I mean, why do you hate Tara so much that you'd rather Jax be with Wendy. You know that he only married her because he was lonely. He doesn't even love her." She reminded me. Go figure Jax had told her why he'd spent so much time in Reno.
"Tara doesn't understand this life. She's not cut out for it. She's just like Mary and Donna and Colleen and…" I said trailing off thinking about my sister.
"My mom." She said barely above a whisper.
"Yeah. I'm afraid that she's gonna cause more hurt than anything." I said.
"Gem, I've seen them together. Their good together. I've talked to her. She knows that she made a mistake leaving Jax…she regrets the hurt that she caused this family. Think about it Gem. I didn't even grow up in this life. Look at me." Bells said.
I turned around and faced her. I put my hand on my hip. "Yeah but baby…you've got SAMCRO blood in you. You were made for this life. You've fit in since the moment you came to town. Not to mention the fact if your momma hadn't of run the way she did and got herself mixed up with your grandfather…you would've grown up here." I told her.
She nodded. "I know. I just think that you should give Tara the benefit of the doubt before you judge who she is now. I know that I don't know her well but maybe she's not the same person that she was when she left here." Bells said, reminding me that some people can change.
***Flashback Ends.***
She was alive. I know it. She just had to be. The boys will find her and they will bring her home.
Tig POV
After our meet with Cameron, Clay had given us the address of a cabin that Donna's parents owned. Gemma had told him that it might be a place where she was hiding out. We figured it was worth a shot. All I knew was that I wanted to bring my daughter home. I couldn't help but feel like if I hadn't gone to talk to Donna then maybe none of this would have happened. The only reason that I'd done it, was because I was trying to help Bells and Ope. I knew that she'd been causing problems for the couple and I was just hoping to give them some peace.
Jax, Opie, Happy and I pulled up to the cabin. The four of us looked at each other. Happy and I decided to take the back of the cabin. Make sure that if there was anybody here that they weren't getting out unnoticed. Jax and Ope took the front. Hap and I snuck our way in through the back door. We'd met up with Jax and Opie in the living room. The others were checking the rest of the cabin while I checked what looked like a basement door. I had my gun pulled as I made my way down the stairs. It was dimly lit. When I got to the bottom of the stairs, I saw a bed in the corner. I walked over. Chained to the bed…was my daughter. I pulled my knife from my side pocket and began trying to get the chains off of her. "Bells honey." I said quietly.
Silence.
The rest of the guys came running down the stairs. I got the chain free and picked her up. I turned and faced the guys. "We gotta get her to the hospital." I told them.
Gemma POV
I'd been sitting in the office working on paperwork, while the croweaters were in the clubhouse preparing for Bobby's welcome home party. Nobody was really in the mood for a party but we knew that we needed something. I looked up and saw Clay standing in the doorway. "What is it?" I asked.
"We gotta go to St. Thomas." He said.
"Bells?" I asked and he nodded.
Clay and I went racing out of the office. We both hopped in my car and headed to St. Thomas. When we walked into the waiting room, Tig was the first person that I found. I walked over to him and hugged him. "How is she?" I asked.
We sat down in a couple of chairs that were behind him. "Tara said that she's badly beaten. Couple fractured ribs. They drugged her with something…not really sure what. Opie's with her now. Just waiting for her to wake up." He said.
"But she's gonna be okay?" I asked.
"They think so." He said, putting his head in his hands.
Opie POV
Tara had led me back to Bella's room. When I'd seen Tig carrying her, I feared the worst…I thought that she was dead. It wasn't until we got to the hospital and found out that she'd been drugged that we realized that they'd sedated her. I really thought that I'd lost her. I sat in the chair beside her bed. I grabbed her hand with both of my hands. "Baby, I'm so sorry that this happened. I promise you, I'm gonna find out who did this and they're gonna pay for this." I said to her.
Bella POV
I could hear noises around me. I'd figured out that Donna and Weston had been drugging me and keeping me sedated majority of the time. I really thought that they were gonna kill me. I don't know why they didn't. I remembered hearing my dad's voice but I wasn't sure if it was my mind playing tricks on me or if he'd actually found me. One thing that I did know was that when I woke up from this nightmare, I was gonna hunt Donna down and I was going to fucking kill her.
I'd heard Ope talking to me. He'd promised that he was going to fix it. I knew that he would. Ope never told me anything that he didn't mean. He squeezed my hand, and I squeezed back. "Baby? Can you hear me?" He said.
I blinked my eyes a couple of times. "Ope?" I whispered. My voice hoarse. I couldn't remember the last time that I'd had something to drink.
"I'm here baby." He said. I turned my head and looked at him. "I'm so happy to see you." He told me as he kissed the back of my hand.
"I thought I heard Dad." I said.
"He found you." Ope said. "What do you remember?" He asked me.
"Get Dad, Jax and Clay." I told him. I was only going to tell them what I knew once. Then I was never going to speak of it again until I found Donna, chained her up and bled her dry.
He nodded. "Be right back."
A few minutes later, the four of them walked in with Tara following them. She walked to the other side of my bed and hugged me. "I'm so happy that you're okay." She whispered in my ear.
When she pulled back, I looked at her and smiled. "Am I okay?" I asked her.
She nodded. "Couple fractured rib, some bruising. Nothing that won't heal on its own." She said. "Unfortunately, we can't be sure what they drugged you with. It's not showing up on the Tox screen."
I nodded. "Thanks Tara. Can you give us a bit. I need to talk to the boys." I told her.
"Sure thing. Have the nurses page me when your ready for some pain meds." She said, exiting the room.
When the door was shut, I began to fiddle with the blanket. "I will tell you what I remember, but I'm only telling this story once. So please don't ask me to repeat it…ever." I said and they all nodded. "I remember that Tara and I got in an accident. I don't remember much about the accident itself. When I came to, I was handcuffed to a chair. I heard a voice. When I finally saw the persons face…It was Donna." I said looking at Ope. He looked down at the floor. "She said that I'd taken her family from her. She said that the only way that she'd get her family back was if I was dead. I told her that she was insane. When we finished talking, I felt a pinch in the side of my neck. That was the first time that they drugged me." I said.
"They?" Clay asked.
I nodded. "They. I'm getting to that. The next time that I came to, Donna started telling me, that she had made some new friends during her time away from Charming. Said that SAMCRO had made some enemies." I told them.
"She say who?" Clay asked.
I shook my head. "A few days later, I woke up chained to a bed. There was a man sitting next to the bed. He tried to tell me not to be afraid that he didn't kill women but I didn't believe him. He told me that once they delivered their message to SAMCRO that I'd be released. I wasn't sure whether or not I believed him, but then a few days ago, I think, I heard him on the phone talking to someone. He said that it was time." I told them. They all nodded. Ope ran a hand over his face, I could see the guilt on his face. "There's something else." I said.
"What is it?" Dad said, speaking for the first time.
I took a deep breath, knowing the next part was going to piss them off. "Whoever these guys are…they are working with Darby." I told him.
A round of cuss words were said. Dad walked over and kissed the top of my head. "Can I have a minute with Dad and Clay." I said. Jax and Ope nodded exiting the room.
"What is it sweetheart?" Dad asked me. They both sat, one on each side of my bed.
"I know that you're going to track down everyone involved. The only thing that I ask is that when you find Donna…she's mine." I said, glancing between my Dad and Clay.
They shared a look before Clay finally spoke. "Deal."
A little while later, I was sitting up in bed when Ope came in. He sat back in the chair that he'd been sitting in when I woke up. "The guys had to get back to the Clubhouse. Bobby's coming home today." He said.
I nodded. "I get it." I said.
He grabbed my hand and held it. He laid his head on top of it. "Baby I'm so sorry that this happened to you." He said. I took my free hand and rubbed the back of his head.
"Ope…I don't want you to feel back about this. This was not your fault. Donna is a crazy bitch who is gonna get what's coming to her." I said.
He nodded never lifting his head up. "Babe, there's something else." He said.
"What is it?" I asked.
He let out a sigh. "Rosen looked at the adoption papers that she gave you." He said.
"And?"
"I'm sorry babe. They were fake. Clay thinks that she made them to throw us off and think that she was backing off." He said.
I nodded, feeling the tears rolling down my face. "I just don't get it Ope, what have I done for her to hate me. I love you and those kids so much Ope." I said, feeling even more tears fall down.
Ope pulled me to him. "I know baby. It's okay."
Tig POV
I was glad that Bells was okay. Well at least physically. I knew that mentally she was going to be struggling for a while. I knew that we'd find the fuckers that did this…it might take a while but one way or another I was gonna find Donna and the shithead that she was working with. Nobody messes with my family. I was pulled from my thoughts by a fancy car pulling into the lot. Definitely wasn't the feds. I walked over where Clay was standing. "What the hell is this?" Clay asked. A couple of guys climbed out of the car and walked toward us. "Garage is closed."
"We're not here for, uh, car repairs. I understand that you're a Camacho fan." The leader of the group said.
"Who are you?" Clay asked.
"Just dropping by to give you a little friendly advice." Another guy said.
"And what advice would that be?" Clay asked.
"We feel it would be best for all concerned if you stop dealing arms to the One Niners and Mayans." The leader said.
Everyone started laughing. "I don't even know what your talking about. We're just mechanics and Harley lovers." Clay said.
I recognized one of Darby's guys in the back. Were these the guys that had Bells? "That's one of Darby's guys back there." I told Clay.
"Mr. Darby is one of our supporters." The leader spoke.
"Hmm…expensive car…hell of a suit…all your teeth. Must be the top of the Aryan food chain, huh?" Clay said.
"What you do for a living is between you and your maker. I'm not here to adjust your moral compass. This is just a reality check. You're a criminal and you're done selling guns to color." He said. I pulled my gun and cocked it. "Are you gonna shoot me, Mr. Trager? With all these witnesses? I heard about your daughter, shame what happened."
Motherfucker. I started to lunge toward him, but Clay stopped me. "Look, uh, I don't know what Darby told you and, uh, I don't know what your angle is but let me make this real clear. Nobody threatens SAMCRO. And nobody tells us what we can and can't do…black, brown or white. So why don't you just climb back into your little german clown car and drive back to Nazi town." Clay told them. "Cause the next time you piss all over my shoes, he will kill you. I don't give a shit how many witnesses there are."
The leader went to hand Clay a box of cigars. "My shop opens in a few weeks. Until then…enjoy." He said.
"I want to know everything." Clay said. I stood where I was and watched the car pull out of the parking lot. I knew deep that one of those fuckers had been part of what happened to Bells. I just didn't know which one yet. Why else would they mention Bells. Clay put a hand on my shoulder. "Don't worry we're gonna figure this out." He said.
"Yeah. I need a drink." I said, turning to walk into the clubhouse.
