Chapter 18: Small Tears

Caius POV

"Jimmy, it's good to see you." I greeted him.

"Caius, you as well. I assume that everything is on track." Jimmy said.

"Yes. You'll meet Victoria this evening. She's been tracking the girl." I told him. "Her and Jasper have been tracking her every move. She was missing for a while but I believe that she's resurfaced."

"And you think that I'll be interested in this girl." Jimmy said.

"I believe you'll be quite interested in her. She's young, she's pretty, and she seems to have the Sons completely wrapped around her finger." I said.

Jimmy walked over and poured himself a drink. "Now, that is quite interesting." Jimmy said. He turned around and looked at me. He held his glass up. "Here's to friendship." He said before taking a drink.

Bella POV

I hadn't been able sleep much all night. Everytime I'd closed my eyes I kept seeing Weston's face. I kept hearing his voice telling me that he wasn't done. I wasn't afraid of what Weston was going to do to me, I was more afraid of what he would do to my family. When I woke up, Ope was asleep in the chair with his head laying on my bed. I heard the door to my room open and I saw Dad walk in. "Don't wake him." I said quietly. He nodded.

He came and sat on the other side of my bed. "How you feeling?" He asked me.

I shrugged. "Okay I guess. No worse than before I was here." I told him honestly.

"Can I ask you something?" Dad said and I nodded. "You recognize the name Weston?" I didn't say anything but I guess that my face said everything.

"How?"

"Him and this other guy showed up last night at Bobby's party. Trying to throw their weight around." Dad said. I nodded. "Their part of the Aryan Brotherhood."

"Lovely. Just what we need around here." I said rolling my eyes.

"I know sweetie. Piney is talking to Mary. He thinks that it would be best if Mary took the kids for a while. Give you time to heal and for us to figure this shit out." Dad told me.

I nodded, understanding. And I did. "I want to see them before they go though." I told him.

"Bells." Dad said.

"No, Dad. These pricks fucked with my life. They took me away from my family. They took me away from my kids." I said. I guess I'd gotten a little loud and I'd woke Ope.

He was rubbing the back of my hand trying to calm me down. "Babe. Shhh….Its okay. Pop and your dad are just doing what they think is best." Ope said, causing me to look at him. "I know you miss the kids, and I know they miss you. I'll talk to Pop. See what we can make happen okay. We just want everyone safe and I know that you want that too. Okay?"

I nodded. "Yeah okay." I said.

About an hour later, Dad and Ope had both rushed out of the room…something about Gemma had been in a car accident. I'd yet to see her since the guys had found me, I didn't take offense to it. I took it as she probably didn't know what to say. After they'd checked on Gem, Ope had come back saying that they had some stuff to take care of but that he'd be back later. I understood. It was part of the life. I knew that it meant that there were times where I'd be by myself, but normally I had the kids to keep me company. But unfortunately that wasn't possible right now.

That afternoon, Gem and Tara walked in. Tara started checking me over again. I looked over at Gem. "What the fuck happened?" I asked her.

"It's nothing really." She said.

"Really, cause it looked like someone smashed your face off a concrete wall." I told her.

"Funny." She said. She looked at Tara.

"I'll give you guys some time." Tara said walking out.

"What's going on?" I asked.

"The guys that hurt you…one of them have a swastika on his chest?" She asked me.

I nodded. "Gem…your scaring me what happened?" I asked.

"Did you tell the boys about it?" She asked me.

"No. I didn't want to let him win." I told her. The entire time that I'd been held captive, I'd told myself that when I finally got free that no one would know what happen to me. I wouldn't give them the satisfaction. I constantly reminded myself of Gem's motto, An Old Lady can make or break a club. "I couldn't." I said.

She nodded. "They rape you?" She asked me. I shook my head. "Good. I wasn't in an accident last night. I think that they same guys that hurt you…raped me last night." She told me.

"Oh Gem." I said.

"No. This stays between you, me, Tara and Unser." She told me. I nodded knowing that nobody would be able to change her mind.

Jax POV

After checking on Ma, Clay had asked me to go down to Stockton and see Otto. Apparently, he needed to talk to us. When I got there, there was a massive fight going on. Otto tells me that the Brotherhood has been strengthening it's ranks. Then he tells me that Luann needs protection. That her studio had gotten broken into. So me and a couple of the guys head down there and talk to Luann. She tells us about this guy Georgie that been harassing her. We end up at the guys studio and we threaten him. Little while later, I get a call from Luann that she's at St. Thomas with one of her girls. Georgie had roughed her up a bit.

By the end of the day, I was beat. Ope and Bells had there own shit going on. Piney and Tig had decided that it would be a good idea for Mary to take the kids to her house for a while. This way the Brotherhood couldn't directly link them to SAMCRO. Tara was at the house with Abel so I decided to pop in and check on Bells. "Hey kid." I said poking my head in the door.

She looked up at me and smiled. "Hey. How's Abel?" She asked me.

"He's good. Tara said he's completely healthy." I told her.

"That's great Jax. Any leads?" She asked me.

"Not yet kid. Tara say when you can go home?" I asked trying to change the subject.

"Hopefully tomorrow. They wanna do one more Tox screen. She said that they can tell that I was drugged with something and that they can see the levels…they just can't tell what it was." She told me. "They just wanna make sure that it's out of my system."

"That's good." I told her. She nodded. "What's on your mind?"

"Do you regret that Wendy got pregnant?" She asked me.

I ran a hand over my face. "I don't regret Abel's existence…at all. I just regret how everything came to be. I wish that he didn't have a mom that is.. Was a junkie." I told her. "Why you ask?"

"No reason. You should get home." She told me.

Bella POV

After Jax left, I thought about my visit with Tara earlier before she'd left for the day.

***Flashback***

Tara had come in with my latest lab results. "Hey you okay?" She asked me.

"Yeah, just thinking about things. Everything okay?" I said.

"Got your latest lab results." She said. I nodded. "Looks like whatever they drugged you with is out of your system, but there's something else."

"What is it?"

"Did you know that your pregnant?" She asked me.

"I suspected before Abel came home but I hadn't been able to take a test." I told her.

"Okay. I wanna do an ultrasound and check to make sure that everything is okay." She said. I nodded. A few minutes later, a nurse brought in the ultrasound machine. Tara worked her magic. "Okay it looks like your about 12 weeks. Which means you would have been barely pregnant when we had the wreck."

"How does everything look?" I asked.

She turned the screen towards me. "Perfectly healthy. Despite the circumstances." She told me. She printed off some pictures for me.

"Thanks." I said taking them from her and looking at them.

"He's gonna be excited." She told me. I looked up at her. I guess I had a confused look on my face. "Ope. I've known him as long as I have Jax. He's gonna be excited. The entire time you were gone… he couldn't stand to leave the clubhouse he had to make sure that you were okay before he went home. He couldn't look the kids in the eye because he hated lying to them about not knowing where you were." She told me.

***End Flashback***

I was pulled from my thoughts by Ope calling my name. "Hey babe." I said looking up at him.

"Hey." He said leaning down and kissing me. "You okay? You looked deep in thought when I walked in."

I let out a sigh. "I have something I need to tell you."

Clay POV

I was sitting in my recliner when Gem came in. "How you feelin baby?" I asked her.

"Sore. Really really sore." She told me.

"I hate you got hurt baby." I told her. She'd been pushing me away all day.

"I know. I think I'm gonna take a shower and go to bed." She said.

"Yeah okay." I told her. Something was off. I didn't know what it was but something wasn't right.

Ope POV

"Your pregnant?" He said. I nodded. "How far?"

"12 weeks. Tara said that it means that I was barely pregnant when we had the wreck." She said.

"Did you know?" I asked her. I really hoped that she wouldn't have kept it from me beforehand.

She shook her head. "I had no idea. I mean, we were taking precautions because we didn't think that now was the time. That we wanted other things to happen before we had a kid." She said.

She was right. It definitely wasn't planned. Then I thought about everything that she's been through the last two months. "Is the baby okay?" I asked her.

She reached over to the bedside table and grabbed a piece of white paper. She handed it to me. "Flip it over." She said. I did. It was ultrasound pictures. "Our baby is completely healthy. Despite everything that has happened." She said.

"Wow." Was all I could say as I looked at the pictures. I sat there and stared at the pictures.

"Are you mad?" She asked me.

I looked up at her. I picked up her hand and kissed it. "Not mad. Surprised, but not mad." I told her and she smiled at me.

Jax POV

When I got home that night, Tara was sitting in the rocker feeding Abel. "Hey." I said leaning against the doorframe.

"Hey. You okay?" She asked me.

I shrugged. "I don't know. Is Bells really okay?" I asked.

She nodded. "Yeah. She's really okay. I mean, she's got something to tell everyone but I'm sure she will when she's ready. I'm really surprised that she isn't more hurt than she is." Tara said.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"I mean…It's like they really weren't trying to hurt her. It's more like she pissed them off and that's why she got hurt." Tara said. "I see it all the time in domestic violence victims."

I nodded. Something was off. Was there something that Bells hadn't told us. I'd have to talk to Clay and Tig. I knew the boys were handling a Niner drop off, hopefully everything went okay. I stood there and stared at her for a minute and then my phone rang. "Yeah?" I said pulling my phone out and answering it.

"Bobby's been shot. Need the Doc." Chibs said.

"Yeah." I said closing my phone. "We need to go to the clubhouse. She looked at me confused. "Bobby's been shot."

She nodded. "What about Abel?" She asked.

"We'll bring him." I told her.

When we got to the clubhouse, I sat Abel's car seat down on a table and Tara got right to work getting the bullet out of Bobby. Clay called me into Chapel. Things had been tense for a while between me and Clay. I think that Power of the Gavel is starting go to his head. I knew that something was going to have to change around here. Maybe it was time to pull my dad's journal out again.
