Chapter 47: Dorylus

A/N: Hey guys. As I posted the last Chapter I realized that I probably should have split it up into two chapters. It came in at just over 5200 words. I think it was by far the longest chapter yet. As always I hope that you guys are enjoying the story. Here's Season 4 Episode 3.

Jax POV

Clay and I were sitting in my kitchen drinking coffee, "We got Bobby, Piney, Juice opposed." Clay said. "Where we at with the rest?"

I sat my coffee cup down. "Chibs knows we need this to fill our Irish commitment. He'll go our way. Happy, I'm pretty sure will. Tig? Not sure." I said.

"Well if we get all them, we're still gonna need one more." Clay said. "Kozik?"

I shook my head. "Ex-junkie…I'm thinking he's a no." I said.

"We any closer with Ope?" Clay asked.

I sighed. "Maybe a little. He saw the benefit of having the cartel on speed-dial, but he's not there yet." I said.

"Well, you need to get him there now. I don't care how you do it. 'Cause Ope gives us Miles; that gets us the majority." Clay said.

I nodded. "And you need to work on Bobby. Very least, stop him from spreading woe." I said to Clay.

Bella POV

Opie had been acting strange since the whole Russian incident the other day. After I'd dropped the kids off at summer camp, Jax had called and said that he needed to talk to me. I told him that I'd meet him at the Ice Cream shop in town.

When I walked in, Jax was sitting in a booth drinking a milkshake and there was a second one sitting on the table in front of him. I walked over and sat across from him. "Hey, you been waiting long?" I asked him as I slid into the booth.

"Not too long." Jax said.

"Everything okay?" I asked, taking a drink of the milkshake that he'd ordered for me.

He nodded. "What does Ope and your dad tell you?" Jax asked me and I looked at him confused. "About the Club?"

Oh so that's what this was. Jax was checking to see what level of disclosure I had. "Jax, what's going on?" I asked him.

"Just answer the question."

I leaned back in my seat. He wasn't here as my cousin. He was here on Club business. "Well, with Ope, it's full disclosure. I mean, he may not tell me as things are happening cause he doesn't want me to worry but he does tell me everything. With Dad, well, he only tells me things that he thinks I need to know." I said and Jax nodded. "Now, will you tell me what's going on?"

Jax sighed and ran a hand over his face. "This stays between us." He said and I nodded. "The Club is putting something new to the table." Jax whispered.

"Well what is it?" I asked.

"Muling Coke for Galindo." He whispered.

I gasped. I couldn't believe what Jax had just told me. Was he telling me that he supported this? After everything that he went through with Abel? "You support this?" I asked.

Jax sighed again. "It's a long story." Jax said.

"What do you need from me?" I asked. I had pieced it together. Jax needed something.

"I need you to get Opie on board with this."

"Why?"

"For one it's the quickest way for the Club to make money. And for two, it's gonna help me get Clay to step down." Jax said.

I sat there for a minute thinking. "I'll help you."

Clay POV

"Look at my happy little elves." I said walking into the warehouse.

"Looks great. How many do they hold?" Jax asked.

"Hold between ten and sixteen, depending on the gun. The weight matches the car parts." Opie said.

"Beautiful." I said.

"Chibs got the specs from the Irish." Bobby told us.

"Where is he?" Jax asked.

"Don't ask." Phil said.

Tig rolled his eyes. "Bathroom, working shit out."

"Literally." Juice added. "All that processed food."

Chibs came walking out of the bathroom groaning. "Shit, you all right, man?" Jax asked.

"Something didn't settle right." Chibs groaned. "Cheap Mexican food."

"Chasing burritos with Jack and James probably didn't help." Bobby said.

"Juicy, you're gonna hit me up, yeah?" Chibs asked.

"Green tea and mint colonic - a little herbal fusion…" Juice started but Tig interrupted him.

"Stop, stop, stop. Stop." Tig said.

"Before we clear anybody's passage, let's just get these crates built. Bobby, you're with me. Wahewa." I said.

"Why do you need me?" Bobby asked. Dumbass.

"Cause I miss you, man." I said.

"You want me with?" Tiggy asked.

"Nah. We're good. Stay available. May need someone to haul some Ammo." I said.

Gemma POV

I was walking through the hospital when I saw Unser in the Chapel. I approached him. "Hey. Just trying to remember how to do this." Unser said.

"You put the flame to the wick." I said.

"Thanks." He said.

"You stop going to your church?" I asked him.

"When you're buried in your own shit, the sacred heart seems a little out of reach." Unser said.

"You gotta believe in something, Wayne." I said.

We walked over and sat down in a pew. "Where you at with that?" He asked me.

"Same place I'm always at."

"No, you're not, sweetheart. We wanna stay the same, but we can't. Older we get, the further away we get from who we think we are." Unser said.

"Are we done here, Confucius?" I asked, sarcastically.

"Yeah."

"Let's go." I said. I led Unser through the hospital until we reached Tara's office. "Wait here. You see Tara coming, knock on the door."

Tara POV

After my surgery, I was sitting in my office. Margaret had come in telling me that she'd seen Gemma in here earlier and it looked like she was up to something. I was working on some paperwork when my office door opened and Gemma walked in. "Hey." She said. "Sorry to barge in. In the middle of something?"

"No. Just finished surgery. Just paperwork." I told her.

"I came by earlier."

"Yeah, Margaret mentioned that." I said.

Gemma held up a piece of paper. "This fell out of one of Abel's coloring books." She said. "You have any idea where he might've found it?"

"What is it?" I asked.

"A note…talks about some letters." Gemma said.

I leaned back in my chair. "Letters to whom?"

"You hiding something from me?" She asked.

I shook my head. "Why would I do that?" I asked.

"Same reason you keep answering my questions with questions."

"Sounds like you already know the answers." I said.

I crossed my arms. "No…I don't. What I do know is that letters from John Teller would be very painful for my son to read." Gemma said.

"Why?" I asked.

"John was in love with Maureen Ashby. When we were in Belfast, found out she had a kid with him. Stirred up all that old shit. I had already fallen in love with Clay. When Thomas died…I didn't care anymore. I didn't even try to hide it. That was a mistake. Put Clay at risk…it was humiliating for JT. Jax doesn't know any of that. Him finding out could set things off with Clay again." Gemma said, seriously. "John ripped me apart. Spent months at a time in Belfast with her. Left me here. Alone. With his sons."

"Sorry." I said.

"I loved him. Like you and Jax. I was nineteen. He was my goddamn world. This ain't good for anybody. You understand me? Wherever this leads, this is bad for our family." She said.

I sighed.

Gemma POV

After I left the hospital, I headed back to the garage. When I walked into the office, Piney was sitting there. "Mexican for lunch?" I asked, pointing to the bottle of tequila.

"Yeah, something like that."

"What's going on?" I asked. Something was off.

"I was hoping you could tell me. He listens to you." Piney said.

"Who? Clay?"

Piney nodded. "You know, he is getting us involved in some very deep shit."

"What are you talking about?" I asked.

"Your Old Man wants us running drugs for the Cartel. And all those other drones at the table, they're gonna follow him right down to that last little crumb." Piney said. He stood up from the desk and made his way to the door. "Talk some sense into him, Gemma."

I sighed as Piney walked out.

Bella POV

That afternoon, Opie stopped by the house while I was putting away some groceries. "Hey baby." He said, sitting at the kitchen table.

"Hey, you okay?" I asked.

"Not sure."

"Okay. So, tell me about the coke."

A/N: Alright so that was Chapter 47. So sorry that it took so long for me to get it out to you guys. Looks like Clay and Gemma are up to their old tricks again. Hope you guys enjoyed this Chapter.
