Cuteness Overload!

{Gar. Gar, Garrr.}

Gar opened his eyes slowly, still groggy as he pulled his head out of the last bit of dream he couldn't remember. He was surprised to see a red wall in front of him.

Not the one he had come to think of as The Red wall though, this one had a more pinkish shade to it. Still trying to shake the last bit of fog from his mind, he began to gather his thoughts.

"Where am I?" He asked and suddenly his mind cleared up and the events of the last couple of days clicked together.

{You are on Bo-Ship, we have arrived at our destination. Kid Flash went to get you a frequency scrambler that will keep any tracker you have on you from revealing your location after you leave Bio-Ship.}

Gar realized that M'gann was talking to him telepathically.

{Soldier Girl was going to wake you, but she seemed to cause your companion a little distress.}

Gar took in her sweet smile as she pointed to his shoulder. Well, more specifically to Morph who was sitting there. He still had his gray color and looked like a blob minus the two eyes that were constantly moving as if looking for any threat. When M'gann took a step forward Morph formed a mouth full of sharp teeth and growled warningly at her.

Seeing this, Gar smiled and thought to himself that the biggest threat his little buddy presented was if someone passed out due to his cuteness overloading their brain. Still, he didn't want to discourage him.

"Good looking out little buddy." Gar told him, as he ran a hand over him in a petting motion.

Morph's teeth disappeared as he made a purring noise out of his mouth along with a couple little squeaks of pleasure for being rewarded for a job well done.

Speaking out loud for the first time, M'gann squealed in girlish delight, "He is just too cute, where did you find him?"

With a smile on his face that didn't quite reach Gar's eyes, "I got him in the lab that I first woke up in." He intentionally kept his answer vague.

"The first time we met, he just kind of got absorbed into this... My body." Mentally, Gar still felt it a little weird to refer to this body as his. But he decided to make a conscious effort to settle into his new reality.

Being intentionally familiar, Gar asked, "So sis, do I need to keep my mental shield open for you during my visit, or can we relax now?"

Slapping herself in the head, "Hello Megan. Sorry Gar, but your mind felt so familiar that I just fell back into the Martian habit of connecting to those nearby. It's still hard to keep my mind separate, feels unnatural at times."

Gar responded mentally, {It's not a bother M'gann. I was just curious if you were told to stay attached, so to speak. You do feel very familiar, even a bit comfortable, but I am still an unknown to the League here. Hell, I'm an unknown to myself as well.}

Going back to vocal communication, "Besides, if we sit here talking telepathically all the time, how would those listening be able to act all mysterious later on?" Gar's lips spread to a thin smirk.

M'gann's face showed confusion at Gar's comment until she heard Robins voice over Bio-Ships speakers, "As soon as K.F. gets there, bring your friend to debriefing room 4 Miss Martian."

With a slight edge to her voice, M'gann responded, "I told you to stop hacking Bio-Ship Robin!"

A guilty silence is all the reply she gets for her irritation.

Moments later, Kid Flash rushed up and handed Gar a small watch-looking device. When he put it on, he felt it scrape his skin enough to get a small blood sample. Gar just smiled to himself, [Guess someone here is paranoid, bet it's Batman. If they have a Batman here. Well, they have a Robin so...]

"Got to get moving Meg, it's been more than 24 hours since I have seen Artemis. Do you know how many seconds that is? Do you know how long a second is to someone as fast as me? Bu Bye, and good to meet you older Gar!" With that, Kid Flash was gone in a flash.

Gar winced at that terrible pun even if it was only made in his head.

With a helpless sight at her friend, M'gann watched Wally leave, "Follow me." She instructed Gar.

Gar's sense of smell was telling him that the air was heavily filtered and his other senses were telling him that the gravity was slightly off as well. Doing a quick dig into his limited Comic memories, he figured they were in the Watchtower. He kept an eye out in hopes of seeing other people and getting more information on this world he found himself in, but he didn't see a single other person as M'gann led him through the hallways.

At what appeared to be a random door, M'gann knocked and waited patiently. When the door slid open, she indicated that Gar should head in first and then she followed him in, the door slid shut once she was inside.

Eerily reminiscent of an Army promotion board or even a school board meeting, Gar walked into the room to see five figures sitting behind a desk with a small chair facing them that was obviously meant for him.

Along the wall, he saw several other figures in attendance, but their lack of seating showed they would not be taking part in the proceedings. They were just here for the show. It was too dark to make out many details, so he couldnt put names to the figures just yet.

Calmly walking to the chair provided for him, Gar decided to make a point from the very beginning. While he would be cooperative, he refused to be subservient even here. He grabbed the chair and spun it around so that the back was facing them and then he straddled it to sit.

Knowing that the person in the middle was usually the spokesman of the group, Gar focused there first. What he saw was a dark red almost black outfit, he had a cowl with horns protruding from his forehead just slightly to the side of his temples. His face was covered except for his mouth and chin, white eyes seemed to stare right at him. The symbol of a bat was at the center of his chest. [Was this a version of Batman here? He looks a bit like Daredevil also. Weird.]

Sitting to his left was an AMAZING beauty anyone who took even the slightest interest in Marvel comics would know, Ororo Monroe, also known as Storm. Gar took a firm hold of his mind as the lust of his youth celebrated the visual feast in front of him.

Her outfit started with a Ww accentuating her breasts that looked like they did not like being contained. Then her outfit continued with a body-hugging top of reds and gold. The arms she rested on the desk, showed silver and gold bracers at her wrists.

[Was this Amalgam Comic's Wonder Woman?]

The bit he saw of Wonder girl in the fight in Africa, showed a young beauty that dripped royalty with every movement. But Ororo looked like a Goddess walking among mortals in every way, even as she just sat in a chair in front of him.

To her left sat an older gentleman, he looked much like Dr. Fate when he didn't have his helmet on. [What was his name, Nelson? Kent Nelson, I think it was. Interesting that he doesn't have to wear the helmet all the time here.]

Then Gar turned his head to the figure on the right of the red-cowled figure and saw a man who needed no introduction in any multiverse, Superman. Wearing his traditional outfit of red and blue, gar was amazed to see that he looked like the king of nerds in his old world Henry Cavil.

Next to Superman, was yet another figure Gar recognized instantly. The amazing Baldy of Marvel, Professor Charles Xavier. In his traditional yellow hoverchair and business suit he looked much like the comic rendition.

[This must be some sort of mashup universe with weird combinations. I hope it doesn't have all the bad guys from both universes as well.]

As Gar looked over and recognized some of the Heroes in front of him, he opened his mouth about to start talking when the door opened behind him and quickly closed again.

Gar glanced over his shoulder to see who the latecomer was and immediately recognized The Martian Manhunter J'onn J'onzz himself. He looked exactly as he did in the Justice League cartoon. His eyes didn't quite have the black mascara look but they were sunk back enough to be shadowed. The Red X across his chest that identified him as a Manhunter looked rather cheesy in person because it wasn't stuck to his chest like in the comics or the animated shows.

Martian Manhunter looked at Gar and without moving his eyes, he addressed the members at their desks. "I request to be here for this debriefing please." The monotone in his voice didn't sound like it was a question to me, but maybe that's just the way he spoke.

The man in the middle who Gar thought to be in charge spoke for the first time since I entered. "Even as a founding member, your vote will hold no sway J'onn, but your input could be invaluable so I will not ask you to leave." With a nod from the other four J'onn took his eyes off Gar and walked to the wall next to M'gann to watch.

Before the silence could drag into another bout of an attempt to make him feel uncomfortable Gar spoke.

"Before we begin, I would offer advice that anyone here or anyone watching a recording of this in the future who has powers related to animal shifting, does not know of the Cosmic Flow or the Multiverse, leave or face possible consequences of limiting their growth if not losing it altogether."

When Gar finished speaking, the four members looked at the man in the middle to see his reaction.

"Why?" the figure demanded.

Finding it amazing that he could pack so much intensity in one word, Gar replied the way he had decided when he figured this conversation would take place.

"Knowledge earned will take you farther than information given." was Gar's reply.

The man in the dark red cowl bowed his head for a moment. "Everyone but J'onn exit the chamber." As people started to file out, he continued. "Watchtower, disable the recording devices in debrief room 4.

"Security Override code needed to process request." A clearly robotic voice responded.

"Security code Devilbat 02, Password DLA*760 Omega 1939." Devilbat snapped off.

"Code accepted" Was the reply just as the last person left the room."

Next thing Gar knew, from his right shoulder he heard a voice shout in a cute voice trying to sound gruff "I'm Batman, I AM THE NIGHT!" Morph had changed into the form of the Batman Gar was familiar with, complete with a black and grey outfit, his arms lifted and posing with a billowing cape.
