Chapter 16
The warmth of the sun hit down on the beautiful face of Harriet, who stared at the beach in front of her with a big smile. As she couldn't help but enjoy the blue sea and the clear sky. They were on their private beach in Spain, in the private lodge. A rather large mansion, so it was not just a lodge. But for the Potter family, it was just a small version of their home. Nevertheless, Harriet took a deep breath, enjoying the fresh air in her lungs. And smiled brightly. It was time for her to just enjoy the beauty of the new world she was in.
"Here we are!"
Harriet exclaimed happily, as the rest of the people there could only see with big smiles at the girl who was thrilled to be there. Harriet's family only stared at her, beamed at the reaction of the dark-haired girl. And Harriet's set of friends softly saw how she was running to the beach, excited to be there.
"Harriet, don't forget to use the Sunscreen spell, or you're going to get sunburn!" Lily yelled as she saw her daughter jumping with happiness.
"Hey, dear, let her enjoy the sun. Don't forget about it," James said, as he was walking behind her, already moving his wand to set up a small camp, so the guest would have a place where to sit. Sirius and Remus were moving things around as well. And Amelia and Dorcas were bringing some tables to the place, too. And they weren't the only parents there. Practically, most children's parents and family members were there.
"But, James, remember what happened last time," Lily groaned, remembering the day their daughter got a sunburn. It was a fond memory of them, and a funny one.
"Lily, let the girl have fun once in a while, and don't forget, look," Andromeda said, as she then pointed to the beach where all the kids were hanging around. And everyone saw how Nymphadora and Fleur were already casting the spell over Harriet's body, without the girl realizing. As Harriet was pointing at the birds in the sky, marveled at the smallest of things. Lily sighed, while James came behind and gently put his hands on her shoulder.
"Just relax today, Lily. One day! Just don't think about anything, and relax," James said.
"I'll appreciate to not talk about anything Ministry related too," Amelia said while enjoying the massages of Sirius on her shoulders, as she sat down on a chair, looking at the beach, enjoying the bright sun.
"Indeed, too much Dumbledore this, Dumbledore that. Let's just think we don't have any problem at all," Sirius said, as he peered down on Amelia's tight swimsuit, enjoying the sight of his lover's rather enormous breast. And of course, Amelia could notice it, so she smirked.
"Alright, alright," Lily replied with a sigh.
"Lily, you have been working endlessly for the last weeks. You should take a break once in a while," Andromeda said. The older of the Blacks sister saw the smiling face of Nymphadora as the pink-haired girl was playing with the rest of the kids. Ted gave her a small cup of her favorite wine, which Andromeda took quite happily.
"Even Unspeakables have breaks from what I gather," Dorcas said, while she sat down next to Remus, who seemed to only show a bright smile, looking even more healthy as days went by. No doubt, the cure for his curse was making things better for him. And now, he even looked different. Younger even.
"Also, relaxing once in a while does wonder about your skin," Alice said, while she and Frank were already preparing some food for the kids.
"It's been a while since I took a day off," Frank said with a funny voice.
"And it shows," Sirius joked.
"What does that supposed to mean?" Frank asked, offended.
"You look like someone who hasn't taken a break in the past decades, perhaps since Hogwarts," James deadpanned.
"That's not true…!" Frank said, but with one look at Alice, he realized that maybe it was true.
Alice giggled, kissing her husband's cheeks. "Let's enjoy this day, alright?" Alice said, smiling at the blushing face of her husband. They were cute together.
They all then heard the sound of people arriving, and they knew only family members or friends could see their home. And it was clear who they were when the bickering arrived at their ears. There, Daphne's mother and Blaise's mother were arguing about something. And for the looks of it. It did not really thrill Lord Greengrass to be near the Black Widow. Next to them, Fleur's parents arrived, with the little sister who looked bored. And amused at the fighting of both ladies.
"Don't touch me!" Heloise Greengrass hissed.
"I'm not touching you, you're touching me," Ivone replied, smiling. "Look at those big hips, childbirth surely gives you quite the body."
"Skank, little vicious bitch," Heloise said angrily.
"You love me so dearly."
"You annoying, gormless twit, minger of a slag, whose only goal in life is to be a daft cow!"
Everyone stared at the beautiful woman, who was Daphne's mother, who's just said those horrific, and rather creative insults with awe. Sirius was taking note. He may use some of them soon. However, Ivone only smiled brightly.
"What would I do without you, my beloved sister?"
"Die… you bloody slag!"
Ivone only laughed it off, but of course. It made everyone else look rather amused by the exchange between both half-siblings. But the ones who looked rather confused by them were Apolline Delacour and her husband. Lily sighed as she moved up to them before those two crazy sisters started to throw spells somewhere.
"Welcome!" Lily said happily as she brought James with her. Amelia and Andromeda had to stand up and practically drag. The half-sister away, before they started to scream louder. Making it easy for Lily and James to present themselves.
"Thank you for inviting… us," Apolline muttered, as she glanced at the angry golden-haired woman who was being restrained by her husband while trying to Crucio her half-sister who had a big smile on her face. And from what Apolline could see, it seems as if the dark beauty just gave a hard and loud spank to her half-sister ass, whose bottom had a red printed hand on it. What type of family is this? Fleur's mother thought.
"Don't worry about them, they are like that always," Lily said with a smile, as James looked behind them rather worried.
"Uh, alright. Oh, I almost forgot. This is my younger daughter, Gabrielle Delacour, say hi my dear," Apolline said, as the youngest girl only tilted her head.
"Nice to meet you," Gabrielle whispered.
"The pleasure is all mine!" Lily replied happily.
"My dear, go with your sister," Lord Delacour said gently, as Gabrielle nodded, and left the tent where the adults were standing.
"Thank you for this invitation, lord Potter."
Lord Delacour said while he saw a spell flying in the background. And a few chairs too.
"It's nothing, lord Delacour… we are going to become family, since our daughters, unusual circumstances. It will be better if we get to know each other now. Also, there are things we should talk about, but today we should relax."
James replied, smiling nervously as his auror training kick him and blocked a wild curse at him. He also saw Remus trying to calm things out. And well, Sirius was face down, crawling, trying to get away from the two witches.
"I agree, it's been quite the stressful week," Lord Delacour admitted.
Both French stared now at how Amelia, the Boss of the Aurors, practically bound both witches down. If anyone of you dares to ruin my SMALL VACATION BREAK! I'LL PUT BOTH OF YOU IN AZKABAN! I SWEAR IT IN THE NAME OF MERLIN'S SAGGY BALLS! The red-haired auror yelled with fury, as it was now clear that things were going to calm down. Lily wasn't bothered, she was smiling happily.
"There were going to be more people here, but they were busy… so it's only us," James smiled, as he walked to the large table where food and drink were, and smirked.
"I hope this French wine is as good as they say," James said, as both Apolline and her husband looked mildly offended at that statement.
"French wine is always good, milord. The best," Apolline said.
On the beach, Harriet was happily getting ready to go to the beach and enjoy the water. She wanted to swim so badly she could barely contain her excitement. The reason for her eagerness was that never in her old life. She thought about having the opportunity to see a beach, or even swim in it. Nature was always a wonder to Harriet, because of how beautiful it was. It may be hard to imagine, but for someone who only grew up, watching photos, videos, and histories of what a beach was, or a beautiful mountain, or a forest. It was like walking in a dream, and to see it, feel it, and have the chance to enjoy it. It was more than what Harriet ever thought possible.
That's why Harriet would always love and enjoy at the fullest the wonders of the world. It didn't matter if she may look like a little girl. Harriet didn't care. I am here, and I know there were some friends of mine who would kill for this opportunity. Better not waste it. She thought as she took off her clothes, leaving only her incredibly cute, white, two-piece swimsuit.
She turned around and saw the other kids. "Let's go!" She yelled as she went ahead to the water.
They smiled as they saw a thrilled Harriet already enjoying the water.
"She does sure love the beach," Hermione said, still feeling a bit weird standing next to the other kids. It was the very first time in her life that Hermione could say she had friends. Or something close to it.
Neville smiled at her. "Harriet loves nature. Mountains, forest, lakes. She enjoys fishing, too. And agronomy, well, she loves watching me, or Blaise plating our plants or vegetables, and talk about it. But yeah, she can get really intense when doing things like this."
"I didn't know that," Hermione replied.
Hermione then looked to her right, where a gorgeous girl with amazing blonde hair stood, with a rather lustful swimsuit. Or perhaps it was not the swimsuit itself. But the curvy body of the French girl. Hermione blushed, as she saw how Fleur's boobs and perfectly rounded butt wiggle every time she walked or moved. She is so… bloody sexy! Hermione thought. But while she thought that, she wondered what was the relationship between both Harriet and her. It was so sudden. Harriet hasn't told her anything yet, only that Fleur is going to move from her school to Hogwarts, so they would be together.
And that was rather interesting.
"Uh, hello, my name is Hermione Granger, and you're Fleur Delacour, right?" Hermione asked while Fleur seemed to help Gabrielle with her swimsuit. The gorgeous French girl looked at her and seemed to scan Hermione. But nodded rather arrogantly.
"Oui."
"And can I ask you, what is your… Hmm, relationship with Harriet?" Hermione asked timidly.
Fleur then threw away her arrogant smirk for one of complete devotion. And Hermione noticed. Fleur looked at the girl and smiled at her.
"I am Harriet's girlfriend, and wife," Fleur said with again, an arrogant smirk.
Hermione's jaw dropped, not believing it. Or well, she believes it. Kind of. "Really?" She asked, dumbfounded. But before Fleur answered, a hand appeared around Hermione's neck, and it was no one else but Nymphadora, wearing a rather sport swimsuit. Not ashamed of showing her rather muscular body, which she knew Harriet enjoyed a lot. Nymphadora smiled at Fleur, who scoffed at her in a funny way. Since surprise, right now. They were just two normal girls and nothing more.
"Fleur is Harriet's soul mate, or something like that. It happened during the Ministry ball, party thing."
"Oh…! Wait, soulmate? Wait, are you a half-breed?" Hermione asked abruptly.
"Part-human, please, and yes… I am a ¼ Veela."
"Sorry, I didn't mean to sound rude!" Hermione said.
Fleur huffed, but Nymphadora laughed. "Don't worry, but yeah. It seems that our dear Harriet now owns a Veela for herself."
Hermione didn't like the word own. It made Fleur be as a sort of object, and she was about to say something, but then Fleur answered, and it surprised her.
"That she does," Fleur replied with a very cheerful smile. "I'll do anything for my love~!"
Hermione stared at her, shocked, as Nymphadora laughed.
"Hey! What are you two waiting! Come here!"
Harriet yelled from far away, and well, Fleur waited no more time as she practically jumped in happiness towards Harriet.
"I'll be there, my love~!" Fleur replied, and Nymphadora just shrugged the confused and concerned face of Hermione and followed the bimbo girl.
"Is this normal?" Hermione asked Neville, who was sitting on the ground, building a sandcastle unbothered by the scene. He just chuckled.
"Yeah, don't worry."
Harriet, from the distance, saw the sexy blonde running towards her. And she couldn't stop staring at Veela's gorgeous body. And next to Fleur, Nymphadora was also going towards her. And Harriet felt thrilled now to see both girls with her. Both of those girls were the oldest, and have already developed an incredible body shape. Hourglass figures, with muscle behind those curves, clearly both have incredible hips and already large breasts. Harriet thought that Fleur's Veela genes, and Nymphadora's Metamorphmagus abilities, just make them more enchanting. Harriet looked at their visible abs. She didn't know Fleur had them, but now she does and she loved them. Nice… very nice. Wait, does this make me a pervert? Uh, I think it does. Ah... Peroroncino what would you do if you were me? Harriet thought with a smile.
"Are you enjoying the sun?" Nymphadora asked as she swam towards her. They weren't far from the shore, but just enough for Harriet to swim without a problem.
"That I do," Harriet replied, smiling.
"What about you, Fleur? Are you enjoying this?" Harriet asked.
Fleur's eyes shined while staring at Harriet. "Yes, I do. I love the beach and you're here. So, this is the best day ever, my love."
Harriet giggled at the devotion in Fleur's face, but smiled. Yet, she was still with one thing in mind.
"Alright… let's race! Let's see who reaches first that stone!"
Fleur and Nymphadora didn't have time to react, as the little girl with green eyes swam away like a fish or something. They stared at each other, chuckling.
"She is quite a handful, isn't she? So filled with happiness and joy," Nymphadora asked, smirking. "Our lady is a beautiful kid."
Nymphadora, or Lupusregina said with mixed feelings. One was of true happiness for their lady, but one was of sadness. Would their lady remember them? Or would they have to live their lives, hoping that one day she would wake up? She couldn't face the whatever lays ahead. Lupusregina was afraid. But, as long she was next to her lady. She believes, everything would be alright.
"Indeed… but I can't get enough of her," Fleur replied with a soft smile. Thinking something alike. They would make sure their lady lives a happy life, one filled with love. Giving her what she never had. Albedo, would make sure of it. And giving one last look at the girl next to her, she smiles. Nymphadora, or Lupusregina smirked.
"Me neither."
They say, and smiling, both of them raced up to their dear girl, with a smile on their faces.
Harriet giggled as she was carried her out like she was a bag of potatoes on the Metamorphmagus' shoulder. And Fleur wasn't furious. She giggled as she saw the radiant smile, of Harriet. And they reach the beach where the other kids were building an amazing sandcastle. Nymphadora gently put Harriet down as the green-eyed girl grabbed both Fleur and Nymphadora's hands. The rest of the kids waved at her.
"Whoa, amazing sandcastle Neville! This is Hogwarts?! Look, you even made the Quidditch field! Look!" Harriet said.
It was no other than Hogwarts castle. Harriet was amazed by the among of details her friend put in the sandcastle, it was amazing. Neville truly had a gift. Yet, Harriet didn't notice a couple of stares of jealousy. Neville had to admit it. Having Harriet react like that was an amazing feeling. That's why he even gave a type of arrogant smirk to Daphne and Tracey, whose sandcastle was not really that great. Susan and Hannah groaned as their sandcastle fell apart again, and oddly enough. Astoria and Gabrielle seemed rather happy just making a hole in the sand, only glancing at Harriet with curious eyes. There was something inside them, pulling them towards her. And an odd feeling of something telling them to do something.
"Why, thank you, Harriet," Neville said, smiling.
"Yeah, indeed, a rather incredible little sandcastle," Blaise's voice brought the attention of Harriet, who stared shocked by what she was seeing. Blaise had built an almost mirror image of her house, with her mother's private farm. It was beautiful.
Harriet approached it and saw all the details.
"Wow," Harriet replied. "You… you are amazing, Blaise."
"Of course, I know. I am amazing," Blaise said smugly.
Everyone groaned, but Harriet didn't pay attention to it. She sat down on the sand and started to do her own sandcastle. A very, especial sandcastle. The kids, curious about what she was making, approached her and watched.
"What are you doing, Harriet?" Hannah asked.
"Mm, just making my own castle, that's all."
"Yeah, but what type of castle? It doesn't look like one," Hannah said.
Harriet wasn't sure of what to tell them. She was making the entrance of The Great tomb of Nazarick. Harriet knew they wouldn't understand. And just mentioning brought her down a bit. Harriet missed her guild base a great deal. That's why she felt a big depressed thinking about it. Harriet would have a hard time explaining it to them, and it was something personal. Her friends would have a hard time trying to comprehend her feelings. Or so she thought. Harriet would sometimes dream about it. The walls, the hills, and the Roman type of structure. So, she just sighed, feeling down to just thinking of her first home. It felt like a dream now, just in her mind.
"It's something… I dream every night."
Harriet's voice was a whisper, and everyone saw those eyes filled with melancholy. And as Harriet continues building it. The kids noticed a familiar building. They froze at the sandcastle since it was not other than the entrance of Nazarick. They would recognize it everywhere. Fleur's eyes couldn't look away and the same could be said to everyone else. Of course, except for Hermione, who simply approached Harriet smiling. "Whoa, that's so cool, Harriet! It looks like a Roman building! Are you doing Rome?" The bushy girl asked.
Harriet thought for a second. "No, at all, Hermione. It's just something I have been dreaming about finding, I guess." Harriet said, trying to not look too sad about it. "Home."
"Home?" Hermione asked, confused.
Harriet was about to say something else, but the sudden call of her mother, Lily, stopped her.
"Harriet, we are going to have lunch! I prepared your favorite meal!" Lily yelled.
Harriet took a deep breath and shake her bitterness off. There wasn't a need to dwell on it, at least not there.
"Coming!" Harriet said, as she looked around and saw the kids who were all serious and seemed to have a conversation only with their eyes.
"What are you waiting for? Meal is ready," Harriet said.
Harriet paid no mind if they think she was crazy, but hopefully, they won't ask about her dreams. She didn't want to talk about it. It would be hard to tell them about Nazarick. Ah, they would just nod and say things to make me feel better. But I don't really want to. It's better, if I don't say anything, for now. Yet, Harriet should have noticed the hope in their kids' eyes. As if they were almost within reach of their lady, just a little more. And it would all be alright. They just need patience and to complete their missions, before trying to make her remember. It was critical, to not intervene, no matter how much it pains them.
Harriet sat on the table and her jaw went wide open as she stared at the burgers in front of her.
Oh, yeah! Burgers! Sweet delicious burger!
"Yes!" Harriet whispered happily, earning a few chuckles from Lily and James.
"Now everyone, please enjoy," Lily said, as the kids were sitting at their table with many types of food all over the table.
"Thanks mum!" Harriet said.
"Thank you, lady Potter," the rest said.
Lily giggled as she left them and went back to the other tent where the adults were eating their lunch and having just a good time relaxing. Harriet took a huge bite of her burger, and like a squirrel with her mouth full, she munched her food with joy. Hermione saw it and simply shook her head, still surprised by how much could her friend eat.
"Harriet, try to not eat too much," Hannah said as she leans forward and clean Harriet's cheek with a tissue.
"Sorry," Harriet said while eating, and while it may look disgusting if someone else did it. Harriet was different. She was built differently. She looked adorable, with her big cute cheeks filled with food.
Fleur moaned deeply, like a woman crazy in love, or like a schoolgirl who just watched her crush do something adorable.
"Do you want my French friends, my dear?" Fleur asked Harriet, who looked at her with a big smile.
"Are you sure?" Harriet asked.
"Yes! Please take as many as you like!"
"Thank you!"
Hermione looked at Susan, who seemed a bit down while looking at the food. "Uh, Susan, are you alright? You look a bit down."
Susan looked at her, confused for a moment, but then sighed. "It's nothing, Hermione, just thinking. Nothing more."
Hermione tilted her head, to which Susan only coughed slightly and grinned, albeit forcibly. Susan, or well, Solution, was still having a hard time dealing with things. She felt conflicted with her human life and her Pleiades duty. And it wasn't like she was confused about who she was loyal to. It was her lady, without a doubt. Solution would do whatever it takes in order to complete her duty and mission. Even if she had to kill her human aunt Amelia. And that was the problem, she hated having those feelings of attachment to someone outside of Nazarick. It annoys her. But hearing Demiurge telling them that the reason they felt so out of character was that they were technically out of character.
Their karma and true selves were still not unlocked. So, they only had their memories and their undying loyalty to Nazarick and the Supreme Ones. But, her disgusting human side, as Solution would call it, seemed to not want anything to do with hurting her aunt.
Lord Demiurge told me as time passes by, it will only feel more normal and my head and goals will clear out. Good, I hope it does. No eating humans... having to be one... disgusting. But, I guess... since Amelia is part of my lady's family, it's not really that bad, right? If they are part of my lady's life, and joy. Then, is alright to feel like this... right? Solution thought, a bit mixed.
Solution then looked at the bushy girl, who was her lady friend. And smiled gently at her, only because of what she meant to her lady.
"Let's eat, shall we?" she said.
"Susan, can you give me a bit of your French friends?" Harriet asked as she already devoured Fleur's fries.
Susan smiled brightly at her. "Of course! You can have as many as you want!"
"You can have mine too," Daphne said, blushing.
"Oh, I'll take yours too!"
Hermione practically stared at them as Harriet's plate was filled with everyone's French fries. And she just took a deep breath. And well, she did the same as them and gave Harriet her fries because Harriet was her friend and she likes her. Hermione likes her gluttonous friend. So, if food makes her happy. Hermione would give her just that.
"I love you all."
Harriet smiled as she stared at the mountain of French fries, which she would devour in just minutes.
It didn't take long enough for the night to arrive, and now the group of kids were on the beach, in their little camp. They were going to sleep out next to a bonfire, in comfortable and magically enchanted tents.
However, Harriet was laying down on the sand staring at the stars in the sky. No more worries clouded her judgment, and no feelings of sadness linger in her mind. The only thing she could do, and the only thing she wanted to do currently, was just to keep staring up at the many lights. So beautiful. Harriet thought with wonder as the sound of the waves and the airbrushed her skin. The crackling of the bonfire, and the soft murmurs of her friends around her, only make her incredibly happy.
"Harriet, what are you thinking on?" Neville asked, gently as he was sitting down with the rest, carefully staring at the face of peace and harmony from his lady. She just looks at peace... contented. She deserves this... and more. He thought, as he remember a certain talk, or speech rather from Pandora's Actor. The only guardian, and person in Nazarick who knows their lady inside out. He, Sebas, did not wanted to even think, if the things he told them were true. And Sebas believed, it was just a part of it, clearly leaving things out, that their lady would like to never say, or tell them. It filled him with rage.
"Hm, nothing really. I am just looking at the stars. They are beautiful."
Harriet's voice was serene. It was almost as if she has just forgotten about everything.
"They truly are beautiful," Neville replied.
"Indeed, I don't want to get up tomorrow," Harriet groaned, as she noticed how Fleur slowly move behind her, and Harriet just shrugged it off and move her head so, she could use Fleur's lap as her own pillow and for the looks of it. It seemed that it was Fleur's original intention. So, Harriet, resting her head on Fleur's lap, sighed contently.
"But there is something you want, specifically?" Fleur asked.
"Something I want?"
Harriet thought as she wondered what does she want to do with her life there. What was truly her goal? Killing Voldemort is more of a mission than anything else. And those quests I have are just that, quest. But, what do I want? What would I like to do after that?
"I… I don't know, just be happy I guess," Harriet muttered.
"I thought you wanted to be an Auror," Hermione blurted out.
"Eh, why would I do that? Just looking at my dad makes me sleepy. He spends more time in his office than in the field. And I refuse to spend my life in an office," again Harriet said, and thought.
"What you want to be, Hermione?" Harriet asked back.
"I… I want to be the Minister of Magic," Hermione said, blushing at the many stares at her.
"You want to be the Minister of magic? Ha! I knew there was something I saw in you I like! You dream big, Hermione!"
Harriet said, laughing at the dreams of the bushy girl. She wasn't mocking them, not really. Harriet truly believed Hermione could become what she says. Harriet just felt it. However, she did not notice the stares of Blaise, whose brain seemed to go in overwork.
"So, you want to be the minister of Magic, eh?" Blaise asked, with hidden intent.
"It's just a dream," Hermione muttered.
"No, no, it's a wonderful goal without a doubt, Hermione," Neville said.
"A bit big, but a good one, I guess," Daphne said.
Harriet smirked. "If you're going to be the minister of Magic, Hermione. Then, I'll become the Queen of Magic! I will rule the Wizarding World, and you will be my minister. What do you say? Eh?" Harriet said jokingly.
"Now you're laughing at me!" Hermione replied, but she had a smile of her own.
"No, no, I am serious!"
"You know there is already a queen in Great Britain, right?" Hermione said as she saw the funny face of Harriet.
"Shit, you're right… Ah! But there is no Empress! So, yeah, I'll become the Empress of the Wizarding World!" Harriet said dramatically.
"Alright, your majesty! You become an empress, and I'll make sure to work for you, as the first minister," Hermione replied, laughing, at the same way Harriet was doing.
Both young girls were just laughing, enjoying just a lovely and quite funny interaction. Harriet was just letting loose, not paying attention to the reactions of the other people around. Especially to Blaise and Fleur, who almost had a seizure from the words they heard. Blaise laughed loudly, something strange to hear for Harriet. It was truly weird.
"Truly… just as I expect it," Blaise said, chuckling.
"Eh?" Harriet asked, confused.
"It truly is, Blaise. I should have known, this was no coincidence," Fleur replied with a soft chuckle as she caressed a very confused Harriet.
"I don't get it," Tracey asked, confused as well.
"Mm, don't worry. I'll explain it later. But, I believe, it was as we should have expected from Harriet," Blaise said, smiling.
Now, Harriet was completely confused about what they were talking about.
"Uh, thank you?" Harriet replied, muddled. She then stared at Hermione, who seemed as confused as her.
"Don't worry, Harriet. We will make sure to be there to help you. Always," Blaise said, in a serious and confident tone.
"You guys are super weird sometimes," Harriet said.
They laughed.
Truly, even though Harriet was still confused by the strange conversation, having vacations was amazing. Harriet would love to have more of these moments in her memory. Happy ones filled with joy. Yet, unbeknown to her, far away. A new threat was emerging.
Dumbledore looked at the castle before him. He hoped to never see such a gloomy place ever again. But it was as if fate thought of something else. He sighed as he slowly entered the horrid place. Dumbledore took his time in approaching the person there. And in the Nurmengard prison, there was only one prisoner. And his name was Gellert Grindelwald.
Dumbledore reached the highest tower, and there, he saw the cell of his once old friend. And for the looks of it. Gellert was expecting him. He was sitting on a chair with a desk. Gellert was a prisoner, yes, but he had some commodities within his cell. A comfortable bed, and large desk, books, and a beautiful view of the mountains. Yet, he was still a prisoner, a willing prisoner.
"Dumbledore, it's been a while. Are you here for another chess game?" Gellert said while reading his book, not looking at Dumbledore.
"Not today, my old friend."
Gellert then looked at him, and slowly walked to him. Those unusual eyes, the different color, had always attracted Dumbledore, but he knew he couldn't talk about anything else. Dumbledore stood behind the iron bars and sighed.
"My dear friend, I came to you in order to know something."
"Uh, the great Albus Dumbledore comes to seek my aid?" Gellert teased.
Dumbledore was serious, and he did not reply to the teasing.
"I need to know where is the scroll," Dumbledore said.
Gellert also grew serious. As both of them said nothing for a few minutes, only the surrounding magic started to react. Dumbledore knew if Gellert wanted it, he could have escaped Nurmengard without a problem. Yet Gellert was a man of his word. He lost their duel, and with humility, accepted his fate with a smile. That's why he hasn't escaped his prison. Because he had a sense of honor.
"So, it has finally come," Gellert whispered.
Dumbledore didn't like the tone of voice Gellert used. The Dark Lord walked to his desk, where the Daily Prophet was, and the picture of the Girl-Who-Lived was in the front of it.
"I need the scroll, Gellert."
Gellert did not respond. His mind was focused on the picture. "tell me, Albus. It is the girl with green eyes, right? The Girl-Who-Lived. The one responsible of dealing with dear Tom. I knew she was special."
Dumbledore glared at Gellert, trying to understand what was going on in his mind. Gellert was always someone difficult to read. And if Dumbledore tried to use Legilimency, it would be useless. Gellert's mind was a fortress-like no other. So, with that in mind, he could only sigh.
"You saw it? The auras?" Gellert asked again.
"I have yes, young miss Potter, has three auras. And she is, without a doubt, one of the most powerful magical beings that I have ever seen. But she is just a child. And I fear for her."
Gellert turned around and saw stared at him, a bit amused. "You always had a big heart for kids."
Dumbledore allowed himself to chuckle. "That I do."
"But you know what this mean, right?" Dumbledore said nothing.
Gellert smiled. "The vessel has come. She has appeared."
"Gellert… I need the location of the scrolls. No one has to know about the Source of Magic! Please, for the love of our friendship, and love and your redemption. Tell me, where did you hide it!"
Gellert chuckled. "My dear friend. I don't know where it is."
"What?!" Dumbledore asked, stunned.
"In my paranoia, when we grew apart. I feared you would try to get them… so I took them away. I hid them in a place where I thought no one would search for them. Not even you. Then, I obliviate myself. Forgetting the location of the scrolls. So, no one could ever know where they are. But then I learned a horrible thing. Those scrolls, while unique, weren't the only ones talking about the Source of Magic. I learned that, while I took over Germany and France."
Gellert said, of course. He wasn't telling the truth, or not really. Not completely.
Gellert did obliviate himself, and he did forget the location of the scrolls. Yet, that doesn't mean he forgot where the backup memories were. He was a very meticulous person. Gellert looked down, trying to look troubled.
"More people know about this?" Dumbledore whispered.
"Perhaps. You need to understand that the theory of the source of magic is not a very secret one. It is considered a myth more than anything. But it was something to talk about… and in my search to learn more. I traveled to Greece, seeking of what Herpo the foul lacked. And found a trail… to his journal. Not like the scrolls or anything else. But his personal journal."
Gellert whispered walking away, staring at the window looking down the valley, as Dumbledore was shivering, fearing about what Gellert found there.
"What did you find?" Dumbledore asked.
Gellert said nothing for a few seconds and then sighed. "I didn't have time to learn about it, Albus. My war efforts took me somewhere else. And before I could go where the trail lead me… you challenged me to a duel."
"I see…"
Dumbledore had to find it, before someone else.
"Where does the trail take you?" Dumbledore asked seriously.
Gellert smirked as he then looked directly at Dumbledore. "Albania." Albus' face went pale, hearing that.
"I need to go."
"I'll advise you to seek help from the Greek Circle… they may help you."
Dumbledore only nodded, as he quickly left him behind. Gellert chuckle, as he saw a storm coming. Yet, he returned his gaze at the photo of the Girl-Who-Lived. And smiled brightly.
"Ah, Du bist endlich angekommen, my dear… after many years."
Gellert smiled, deciding that it was time for him to leave his prison. He had things to do.
