Chapter 21

The fogging scenario in which the masked woman currently was did not bring her pleasure. The smell was bad enough for her, yet she had to see it through regardless of her feeling. However, the masked woman was incredibly displeased with the Greek Circle. Old bastards! They are so bloody infuriating. They think they are some holy shit or something. The woman thought, filled with anger while walking towards the foggy forest. Still, the old clerics of the ancient forms of magic were highly cryptic with their indications. The woman understood that they were warning her of something bigger.

Do you know about Avalon, my dear Unspeakable, or should I call you Lady Potter?

Do you care for my name or my title?

Neither, truthfully. We care little for what the Wizarding World leans towards, what they believe in, or the many laws or costumes they think are theirs. We, the Circle of Ancient forms of magic, know the truth.

And what is the truth?

That magic has chosen a new avatar. The first one since the inceptions of magic itself. Your daughter.

Lily recalled her body shivering when those older men spoke about her child as if she was a prize or something. The idea that they have been waiting for Harriet to be born for centuries didn't sit well with Lily. She wanted nothing but only happiness and safety for her daughter. Yet, it seems as if destiny had some other ideas in mind. The Source of all Magic was still eluding Lily's mind since she couldn't quite grasp what exactly it was and why the Greek Circle was fascinated with it. Yet, instead of answers, the only thing Lily got were more questions.

Do you know about Avalon, lady Potter? About Morgan le Fay?

Of course, I do. Everyone knows about the Queen of Avalon and King's Arthur half-sister.

What you know about Avalon is nothing but something fabricated by King's Arthur inner circle. Morgan le Fay was never the Queen of Avalon and never ruled over it.

What...? What do you mean she was never the Queen of Avalon? All the ancient scriptures said the same thing. About Morgan's search for power and immortality. She built a large castle on an island and ruled for decades until Merlin defeated her.

That's a lie, lady Potter. A big lie created to hide the harsh truth. One that people wouldn't want to believe. Avalon was the name she gave to the island she discovered, and here is the reality. She found that place, not built it, but encountered it.

Lily, at first, didn't believe it. Ever since she was a little child, Lily has read the history of Merlin and King Arthur. Everyone knew about it even in the muggle world—the sword in the stone. The mythical sword of Excalibur, whoever pulls it out, would be crowned King of England, and so on. She, of course, knew it was fantasy. Yet, there was evidence that Merlin, King Arthur, and Morgan Le Fay existed in the Wizarding World. So, when she could, Lily investigated all she could about those days. All of it. Yet, hearing that all she knew was nothing but a lie didn't make her feel better.

Merlin's journals and Morgan's diaries are deep within our vaults. And throughout the centuries, we have collected more evidence of their words.

What evidence?

Avalon was something built by something more significant than a Witch or Wizard. It's a world of its own. It is a portal to another dimension, and Morgan wrote that a giant of ice with four arms. A sort of metallic bug protected the entrance with jealousy. The power of such a creature was immeasurable, out of charts. It could split mountains with a swing of his arms, and not even the might of Merlin, or the founders of Hogwarts, could even scratch it.

What? The founders of Hogwarts? What do they have to do with any of this?

Oh, that's another secret of the mystic of Avalon. The island has a will of its own. It changes places throughout time. And you'll have to find out how the founders of your school discovered it. Yet, that's not what you're here. Avalon has an owner indeed, but it wasn't Morgan le Fay. She was a sort of guest there. Morgan describes a man without a face, and a thousand allowed her to stay. A man, she believed, was the creator of such a place. But found out he wasn't. That person was just a guardian and was awaiting his lady.

His lady?

Yes, he is the one who claims that the Source of all Magic would be born. And when it does, Avalon would be there.

Lily wasn't a superstitious person whatsoever. Yet, she couldn't deny how terrifying it sounds to hear that they believed Harriet was the one who would unlock the power of Avalon. Lily still could see why the Circle even bothered to speak with her in the first place if it was true if all of that was indeed real. Then, Harriet was practically in the middle of ancient prophecies and mysticism. She cared little for all of that. Lily just wanted to save her child, and that was all.

You believe my daughter is this person you're seeking.

We don't believe, lady Potter. We know. It's the reason why we are inclined to help you. Voldemort that child, has proven to be not the one. A mistake on our part. Yet, thanks to him. We now know that magic would only protect those it sees fit. Your daughter has survived the Killing Curse and has done incredible things. And a prophecy was made just for her. And now that we know, an Horocrux is living inside her. Everything is more evident to us. We will help you... in our own way.

So no help at all?

Don't underestimate us, lady Potter. This doesn't come from the goodness of our hearts but from the necessity of this world of magic.

Lily sighed deeply, even though they said they were going to help. They couldn't pinpoint where to look or whom to speak to about helping her child. She left that reunion confused, worried, and anxious, especially when they told her to be wary about Dumbledore's intentions. Since the old Wizard has been poking around trying to find out more. Lily didn't trust either Dumbledore or the Circle. They both have their agenda to fill. And she wasn't going to allow them to use Harriet. Not while she was still alive.

And that's why Lily was currently there, in that awful place. Deep within the forest of Albania. Supposedly, there's one person who could help Lily in her quest. Yet, they weren't capable of telling her who it was exactly.

We can't tell you if you're going to find that person. That individual moves from place to place, which is impossible to track. Albania is the place where he resides now. Good luck.

Lily hissed annoyingly; those old wizards were incredibly infuriating to speak to. No wonder the High Table hated them. Yet, the Greek Circle, or the Circle of the Ancient Forms of magic, had a lot of hidden secrets.

"Still, I bloody hate them."

Lily muttered angrily while carefully looking around. The forest was already creepy enough. And if what some of her colleagues said about it was true. Then, Voldemort could be around somewhere.

"I must be careful."

Lily walked around, trying to relax her mind. She focused on her surroundings. Lily was trying to sense magic around. It was something that required a lot of practice and experience. But Lily wouldn't be an Unspeakable if she couldn't do it. So, removing any unnecessary thoughts. Lily tried to feel anything, and it took not long before she felt something coming right toward her. Lily quickly moved out of the way, evading by a few centimeters a large animal.

"Ugh! What is that?" Lily whispered, entirely baffled by the giant black creature.

The creature was a large wolf-like creature. Lily has never seen anything like it before. Yet, she was a trained warrior. So, she decided to do what they told her to do when facing an unknown hostile entity. Run.

"I will not risk a confrontation," she whispered. "Uh...? What?"

Lily tried to Apparate away from where she was, yet, she couldn't do so. It confused her for a brief second before evading the creature's attack. Lily moved her wand and used many of her spells to slow down the monster. Yet, she found out, nothing she threw at him worked.

"Magna Augue!" Lily yelled, and Magna appeared in the form of a doe from her wand. Lily controlled the lava with proficiency. The wolf-like creature growled.

The lava followed the creature, and Lily's wand movement only increased the speed of such an attack.

"Magna Lava!" Lily's spell then forced the lava around her to shift into a wave, engulfing the beast. Yet, that wasn't all. The beast kept on fighting the Magna surrounding its body. Lily knew that she needed to end that creature fast. No matter the cost. She felt that the more she waited, the more danger it would put her into.

Lily, focus her own magic on the spell. The red-haired witch knew more tricks than she let people know. Not even Severus or James knew how deep into the rabbit hole of Magic secrets Lily was in. But it was a sort of necessity to keep certain things a secret. Especially, since she knew more about Black Magic than people would like to know.

"Magna Hasta Lucis," Lily muttered, and a giant spear made of light appeared before her. Lily pointed her hand towards the creature, and the spear impaled the beast. Then, Lily moved her hand, cutting a bit of her finger. Letting a blood drop.

"Mortem... Lacrimosa."

Lily muttered, and a small chain made out of her blood, apprehended the beat that was still moving. Lily clenched the blood chain, and slowly. The wolf-like creature, started to suffocate, as Lily's blood was slowly burning him away. Yet, the marks on her hand showed that she was suffering a sort of penalty for such magic.

"Morieris creatura."

Lily's blood turned black. The chain started to evolve into a sort of creature of its own. Eating the wolf-like creature alive. Before melting away, any bone left was destroyed and so was the wolf creature. It was a gory scene no doubt.

"I hate black magic," Lily whispered, looking at her hand, and saw burned spots, and the smell of rotten flesh coming from it. "I'll have to clean my skin. I can't hug, Harriet like this. It's a good thing it was a minor spell."

Lily approached the place where the creature was and frowned.

"It's done...?" Lily whispered, and she felt relieved that the creature didn't move any longer, or what was left of it. However, there was something odd. Lily looked around. The forest was tranquil, like the eye of the storm. Lily couldn't help but feel as if something dangerous was staring at her. Then, Lily froze when suddenly, she felt something big swing at her.

The moment froze in her mind as she soon saw herself on the ground. Lily's mind didn't react properly. It was a sort of mental delay. She just stared at the sky, confused. Lily, trembling, looked next to her and finally comprehended what had just happened. Half of her body was a few meters away from her. She has been cut in half by a sword or something. Lily didn't fully realize what transpired. She just lay there, frozen.

"What...?"

Those words slowly came out of her mouth. The amount of blood she was losing would be enough to kill her in a few seconds. And her mind, instead of thinking of what happened. If she was set up for failure or was an ambush or anything like that. Lily's last thoughts were about her family. About her husband and daughter. That's all her mind could think.

James... Harriet... I am sorry.

Lily started to fade away slowly. Not capable of noticing a sudden figure materializing from the shadows. A figure who knelt next to her and whispered words Lily couldn't comprehend. Yet, it didn't seem to matter. Lily Potter was dead.

Harriet suddenly woke up and couldn't help but breathe deep down fast. She felt like something punched her guts hard. And that woke up Fleur, who couldn't quite understand what was going on with her beloved one. Harriet felt misplaced and lost. The feeling of something horrible couldn't escape her at all. And she just didn't understand why.

"Harriet?" Fleur asked her dear mate, who simply stood up from bed and walked to the living room. "Harriet, what's going on?" She asked again.

Harriet didn't listen. There's something she needed to do first. "Hedwig!" She yelled, and the white owl flew from her resting place towards her mistress. Usually, the snowy owl would overlook Harriet's orders. The sassy owl was just like that. Yet, hearing the distress in her lady's voice. Hedwig's attitude adjusted. The owl knew things weren't alright.

Harriet quickly wrote a letter, as fast as she could. Maybe, she was being paranoid, yet. The feeling was just too much for her.

"Harriet?" Fleur approached Harriet slowly, wondering what had brought such a reaction from her. Harriet took a deep breath and finally looked at her dear Veela.

"I had a horrible sensation about my mother."

"Lady Potter?"

"Yes, I can't explain what I feel. It was just like something ripped the air out of me. A horrible sense of dread."

Harriet whispered gently. Hedwig felt the worry emanating from her lady and slightly nudged Harriet's finger. The girl with green eyes softly smiled.

"Hedwig, please, take this to my mother. I know you weren't capable of finding her last time. But please, I need to see if she is alright."

Harriet begged, and Hedwig could only stare back at her, and a burning determination emerged from the snowy owl. Hedwig flew away with a fire burning inside her. And a sense of relief came towards Harriet as she saw her owl going away.

"Sorry for waking you up, Fleur. I never intended to bother you," Harriet replied gently.

Fleur just hugged her and caressed her hair with a loving touch. "Everything is alright. Lady Potter is a powerful witch," Fleur said, trying to bring some positivity to her distressed lady. Yet, Harriet was still preoccupied with the sensation of fear.

"But, she hasn't replied to a single of my letters. None. I knew she would be away for a while. And I understand that she may be not in a position to answer me back. But...!" Harriet choke, not knowing how to reply. She did not want to even think about the possibility of losing her mother. Not again. The thought of it made her sick.

"Harriet, if you wish, we can send a letter to your father? Maybe he knows something?" Fleur said, and Harriet sighed deeply.

"Yes, you're right. I should have thought about it."

Fleur didn't like the way Harriet was saying those words. It sounded as if she was blaming herself for such behavior. She was punishing herself as if it was her fault, as if it was wrong for her to worry about her parents. Fleur's understanding of her beloved mind was still relatively new. Yet, she firmly believed that Harriet would always put everyone she considered family or loved ones first. And that could be a problem. Harriet could be harmed that way.

"Let's get back to bed, shall we?" Fleur whispered with tenderness, and Harriet nodded.

Everything is going to be alright. This is just paranoia speaking, that's all. Nothing more.

Harriet thought before heading back to bed for one last time, hoping the upcoming day would not be as stressful as that night.

Harriet was distracted the entire following day. She just couldn't quite get focus on either class. And everyone could see it.

"Miss Potter, are you there?" Severus drawled as Harriet's eyes looked at him. She hissed internally, knowing full well. Her mind wasn't in the right place currently.

Harriet glanced around uncomfortably while Severus was doing his best job at intimidating the poor girl. Yet, the Head of Slytherin had a vague idea of why Harriet was so preoccupied. Still, Severus had a role to play, so the only thing he could do was sigh deeply.

"Are you paying attention to the class, or do you believe you already know everything?" Severus asked, and gradually he noticed those shifting green eyes from the girl. He frowned at them as Severus sensed the girl's somewhat distressing gaze upon him. Harriet was not in the mood right now. She felt instead on edge.

"No, of course, professor. Sorry," Harriet replied stiffly.

Severus narrowed his eyes and wondered what was going on with the girl. However, he would have to wait until much later to ask that question.

"Truly? Well, that's five points from Hufflepuff. All thanks to Miss Potter for being distracted."

Harriet grumbled under her breath, annoyed but also tired. "Sorry." She muttered with a sigh.

"Harriet, is something wrong?" Daphne whispered, making while making sure professor Snape didn't hear them. Harriet nodded slowly.

"Yes, I just didn't sleep last night. That's all," Harriet replied, as the rest of the kids just glanced at each other, wondering if there was something more inside Harriet's head. Perhaps it was, yet, they couldn't be sure.

Thankfully, the day was peaceful enough to help Harriet's friend keep her mind preoccupied with other things. Minor things. Yet, those small conversations did help Harriet a great deal.

Especially since they were now sitting near the lake, in a place, they could call now their own. Harriet rested her head on Hannah's comfortable lap while Fleur and Nymphadora argued about losing the bet. It didn't matter to Harriet. She simply wanted to sleep, for a few minutes, to unwind her busy mind. However, it seems as if it won't be the case. Since then, a message from one of her summons [Elise the Spider Queen] came through, waking her up.

Everyone saw how she woke up and noticed a conversation inside her head. Or it seems. Harriet's behavior could be pretty strange sometimes. They had a hard time trying to understand her. However, they saw the confused yet, amused face emanating from Harriet and wished whatever she was thinking would be good enough for her.

"Uh, I see, interesting."

Harriet muttered, and everyone stared at her, wondering what she was thinking. Harriet's smiled, feeling as if things weren't as bad as she initially thought. At least for now, that was. So it seems as if Narcissa Malfoy would soon be Black again. Her divorce would soon make big news. The noble families do love the drama. I can help but wonder how Lucius will react when he discovers that he has no wife anymore? Harriet smirked.

"Harriet?"

The girl, with green eyes, chuckled at the weird faces the rest were making.

"Nothing, just... I am starting to feel a bit better!" Harriet said as she once again put her head on Hanna's lap.

"I am happy. You're feeling better," Hannah replied softly, caressing Harriet's head.

"My mind has been playing awful tricks on me. Maybe, is stress?" Harriet muttered.

"Perhaps, did you have a nightmare?" Daphne asked.

"Yeah, kind of... it was mostly a horrible feeling when thinking about my mom. Like something happened to her. It's hard to explain. But, as I say. Maybe it was just my mind."

"Don't worry, Harriet. Lady Potter is one of the strongest witches I know. I doubt there's something out there that could take her," Neville said gently.

"You're right. Mom is strong," Harriet whispered while taking a deep breath. "I shouldn't worry about it."

"Oh, yeah... Fleur, food! I am hungry, feed me!" Harriet whined while the dutiful Veela mate brought, from somewhere, a dinner table and started to prepare some cookies and cakes. The rest of the girls began to help the Veela and feed the Girl-Who-Lived like maids or something. Hermione stared baffled at the scene. But the bushy girl simply sighed, knowing that the weirdness of being near Harriet would never get old. But couldn't help but smirk at the way Harriet's acted sometimes. It was cute, in her humble opinion.

Regardless, Hermione's smile suddenly changed when she noticed far away that a particular first-yeard student with red hair was walking towards Hagrid's hut. The red-haired girl looked rather unsettling. Lost, but focus at the same time.

"Weird," Hermione muttered. "Is that Ginny Weasley?"

"Did you say something, Hermione?" Harriet asked while being fed by a happy Veela.

"Nothing," said Hermione. "I just saw something... strange."

The night came, and with it, another set of problems, and one was to attend detention with no other than Professor Lockhart. And it wouldn't be as bad as cleaning cauldrons with Professor Snape. If she didn't have to listen to his ego talking for him. Or having to help him sign that many fan letters. It was just incredibly dull.

But to Harriet's surprise, it seems she wasn't the only one serving detention tonight. Since, before her. Three students from the first year stared at her with dazzled eyes.

"Hello there; Apple says hi too. Also, you don't have Wrackspurts any longer. I am happy. We don't like seeing you sad."

The girl with a dreamy face and silver-blond hair said, confusing Harriet again.

"Uh, thank you...? Luna Lovegood, right?" Harriet replied slowly. As she turned to see the other two students. They were, in Harriet's opinion, adorable. Those strange eye colors. The dirty blond hair and the simply cute way they were staring at her in awe.

"Yeah, that's right," Luna replied with the same dreamy smile she was known for.

"Whoa... you're the Girl-Who-Lived," both twins whispered.

"Uhm, who are you...?" Harriet asked, captivated.

"Porpetina Scamander, please call me Tina! And this is twin brother, Rolf Scamander!"

The girl said with a highly energetic tone of voice.

"Uh! He-Hello!" Rolf, the cute boy who looked like a girl, said. Harriet's heart melted. They are so cute! I want to eat them! Harriet thought. She started to gently squeeze those cute cheeks from the boy. And Rolf, not knowing what to do, just squealed. Tina wasn't sure of what to do. Neither twin wasn't known for being friendly to others. Yet, the Girl-Who-Lived was different. Tina couldn't be angry at her for playing with her little brother's cheeks. And it seems as if Rolf couldn't even stop the girl either. He was blushing profoundly and whining. But couldn't stop the girl's relentless attack.

"You're so cute!" Harriet exclaimed. "You two are so adorable!"

Harriet then attacked Tina and played with her round cheeks.

"Eii!" Tina squealed, feeling Harriet's hands on her face.

"You're right, Apple, they are cute," Luna nodded as if she was talking with someone else.

"Can I take you both home with me?" Harriet cooed, slowly patting Tina's hair like a cat. Rolf and Tina blushed.

"H-Home?!" Rolf exclaimed, baffled.

"I'll tell Fleur we have children now."

"Uh?!" Tina and Rolf exclaimed, but before they could even say something about it. Professor Gilderoy came out of the door, looking at the hallway where the children were standing. And dashed a bright smile. Harriet wasn't amused. Cedric's smile is cuter. She thought with a scoff while still patting Tina's hair.

"Now, now, my children. Let's not stand in the ceremony here! We do have a lot of autographs to sign!"

Harriet, like everyone, simply groaned loudly. Yet, they entered the room and saw the pile of letters waiting for them. But as they entered, Harriet felt some odd feeling. She looked around, wondering where that sentiment came from.

"Miss Potter, if you will," Gilderoy pointed to the chair next to him while the rest of the students sat near him. Harriet hummed internally, still dazzled by the strange feeling. However, she sat down next to Gilderoy, who smiled brightly at her.

"So, Miss Potter, I noticed how distracted you were in today's class."

"Uh, yeah, sorry, professor," Harriet muttered, while Gilderoy only chuckled.

"Worry do not, my dear! I often daydream about myself, too," he replied with his dashing smile. Harriet just smiled politely at him but cringed internally.

"Now, you three, could you tell me what you did?" Gilderoy asked, as the three firs-year only stared at him bewildered. By the teacher's embarrassing behavior.

"We were playing with the Mandrakes," Tina said, and now Harriet stared at her, confused.

"Playing with Mandrakes?" Harriet asked.

"My sister has an affinity with magical creatures," Rofl whispered nervously. "She wanted to show me how she was able to teach them how to dance. However, professor Sprout didn't find it amusing."

"We have detention for an entire week," Tina muttered, still annoyed. She worked hard to make those Mandrakes dance.

"You too, Luna?" Harriet asked as the girl with a dreamy face only tilted her head at her.

"Me? Oh, no, I am just here because I have nothing better to do," Luna replied with a smile. The group just stared at her, and even professor Gilderoy just shrugged it off.

The kids simply sign autographs after autographs for the next hour while hearing Lockhart's history about his many wonders. All boring, of course. Yet, in Harriet's opinion, Lockhart didn't seem all that bad. He was goofy and annoying. But not as irritating as some would think. At least, that's what Harriet thought.

"You still look worried, miss Potter," Gilderoy asked gently. Harriet wondered if he could read her mind.

"I was, yes. Earlier."

"Oh, about what in particular?" Gilderoy asked Harriet and the girl just felt out of place. Why do I feel at peace? She wondered.

"About my mother. I haven't heard from here in a while."

"Ah, Lady Potter," Lockhart said. "A beautiful yet deadly witch."

"Did you know her?" Harriet asked.

"No. I was pretty young. We weren't in the same year. There were four years of difference, and I was a Ravenclaw. But, I knew she was brilliant and strong-willed."

Harriet already knew that but wondered where Gilderoy was going with it.

"Don't worry yourself with it, Miss Potter. I know, Lady Potter is doing just fine."

Lockhart told Harriet gently, and honestly, that did bring some ease into her mind. Oddly enough, Harriet felt reassured hearing Lockhart telling her that.

"Eh, thank you, professor," Harriet muttered as Lockhart simply chuckled and flashed a smile.

"Of course, don't worry, miss Potter. I am here for all my fans," Gilderoy winked. And the kids groaned again. However, Gilderoy then let a secretly smiled.

"Well, this has gone for long enough. Signing autographs can be pretty amazing if I could say so myself. Yet, I would like to treat all of you, my dear students!" Gilderoy said happily, and the students looked at each other confused, wondering what the teacher was trying to do. But, as Gilderoy waved his hand, many cakes came on flying towards them suddenly.

"Would you like some oreo cheesecake?" He said, and Harriet's love for the professor jumped from minus three to one-hundred.

"Oreo cheesecake?! Where did you get it?!" Harriet exclaimed.

"I have spent a few years in the Muggle world! Researching! This is a small guilty pleasure of mine. Don't tell the rest. This is our little secret."

Gilderoy said, and Harriet with the rest nodded.

"Now, dig in!"

"This is so good!" Tina exclaimed. "I have never eaten something like this before."

"Truly?" Harriet asked.

"Yeah, we don' spend too much time away. Mostly traveling with our grandfather. But, I think he'll like it!" Tina said.

"Yeah, grandfather would surely like it!" Rolf expressed. "But would sugar do him good?"

"Because he's old?" Luna asked sweetly.

"Grandpa is not old!" Tina exclaimed, offended. "Just a bit aged!"

"Dumbledore is old," Luna pointed out.

"Dumbledore is not old; he's ancient!" Tina said.

"Now, don't speak about our dear headmaster when he's not around! But yeah... he's a century old!"

Harriet smiled at the interaction between them. Yet, she felt strange. A whisper far away. Drawling. Scattering all over the place. But, soon, it was gone.

That was strange.

Harriet thought while eating her cake. Yet, she quietly keeps her summons ready, just to be sure.

Harriet and the other kids walked out of the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom with a different view of their teacher. Gilderoy was goofy and slightly annoying. But, there's more about him, and Harriet wondered what could it be. Nevertheless, she was glad that he had proven to be just a relatively average wizard. Also, Harriet was still a big fan of his works, so nothing changed.

"Whoa, that cake was good, sister! We should tell granddad about them," cute little Rolf said happily, and Tina nodded enthusiastically.

"He's weird," Luna said with puzzlement. "How can he see with those small eyes?"

Harriet looked at Luna, confused by her statement. "The last time I saw, he had eyes."

Harriet said, and Luna frowned. The dreamy girl seemed to be thinking hard. But then simply sighed.

"Apple says his face is not the same all the time."

Tina, Rolf, and Harriet couldn't reply or add more to whatever the girl with silver-blond hair was trying to say. But just shrugged.

"Alright," Harriet drawled, and soon they started to walk through the long hallway. However, there was something weird in the air, a smell. The entire hallway was wet with something.

"Ugh! What is this smell?" Rolf exclaimed, making a face of disgust.

"This is sewer water," Harriet added.

Tina narrowed her eyes and started to sniff the air. "There's... a big... long with scales," Tina muttered, and Harriet was amazed to hear the details. But soon, her mind focused on what was written on the wall.

"The chamber of secrets has been opened, enemies of the heir... beware."

"And it's written in blood," Tina added, amused.

"Look, it's Filch's cat. Mrs. Norris, I wonder why it's upside down," Luna added, not realizing how creepy she sounded.

Soon, the entire school arrived at the scene since dinner time was over. Strangely choreographed. And Harriet also noticed a few spiders scattering away.

"Now, this is strange," Harriet muttered, noticing everyone there.

"Enemies of the heir beware? What does it mean?"

"Who cares? This is creepy!"

"Why the floor is wet?"

Harriet ignored her voice since she was thinking deeply about the many signals around the strange message. Could it be...? Harriet's thoughts were interrupted by the arrival of the school's caretaker, who seemed rather annoyed at the among of students in the hallways.

"What's going on here? Go on. Make way, make way, I say!" Filch growled.

"Potter?" He muttered, and soon, he saw his dear beloved cat hanging upside down, stone cold.

"Misses Norris?!" He cried. "You've murdered my cat! I'll kill you!"

Harriet scoffed at the decrepit old man. "Why would I kill your cat?" She replied, annoyed and somewhat offended.

"You don't deny it!"

"I just did."

"I'll kill you! I swear it!"

"Argus!" Dumbledore arrived, and now, Harriet's mod was getting worse.

"She killed my cat!" Filch exclaimed.

Dumbledore, however, stared at the wall and froze.

"Everyone will proceed to their dormitories immediately," Dumbledore said. "Except for you four."

The rest of the students looked disappointed, especially Harriet's friends. Yet, Harriet quickly nodded at them. The girl with green eyes rapidly moves her hand, a fast movement. A sign of sorts. I'll tell you later. The kids noticed it quickly and begrudgingly went their way.

"My cat! She's dead!"

"She's not dead, Argus. She has been petrified."

Harriet would have smiled brightly, but she was before the headmaster. Harriet wanted to keep in secret what creature she believed was roaming in the school. At first, she was confused about the wet floor. But now that she knows that the cat was petrified. The voice she heard before made sense now. Those were the whispers of a snake, or what Harriet believed. A rather old and giant Basilisk.

How could it be? And this Chamber of Secrets, where it is located it?

Harriet, however, looked at the girl next to her. Tina seemed to be thinking something along the lines of a Basilisk. Harriet just knew it. How does she know it? She smelled the air, and she knew it had scales and was large. Harriet thought, humming softly at Tina. The Gryffindor girl looked at Harriet, confused but understanding that the girl wanted her to remain silent.

"Ah! Thought so. So unlucky I wasn't here! I know exactly the counter course that could've spared her!" Gilderoy exclaimed, and everyone just ignored him.

"But how she has been petrified. I cannot say," Albus said.

"Ask her! It's the girl that's done it!"

"I didn't do anything to the cat," Harriet replied, annoyed. "I never touched it."

"Rubbish!" Flinch replied. "They did it!"

"Nonsense, as you may know, headmaster. Miss Potter, with Miss and Mister Scamander, were serving detention with me."

Albus hummed deeply. "I see."

"What will happen to my cat? I want to see some punishment!"

"We will be able to cure her, Argus. Professor Sprout has a very healthy growth of Mandrakes. A potion will be made when mature, which will revive Mrs. Norris. Don't worry."

Albus said, and Harriet noticed a suddenly tired face on the old Wizard's face. Weird.

"In the meantime, I strongly recommend caution... to all."
