A New Adventure Begins

Now that Sonic is caught up with some information about his position as a "Master" and these Heroic Spirits. Sonic and Mash speed their way towards the destination Romani pinpointed them to. Thanks to Sonic's speed, he arrived in said spot in seconds. What lies ahead for the Hedgehog and his new Servant?

"*Skids To Stop Himself As He Gently Puts Mash Down, And Fou jumps Out Of Sonic's Head To Mash's Shoulder* Is this where Romani pinpointed us?" Sonic questions

"That is correct, Senpai. However, this isn't the Fuyuki we know about in our data. What I mean by this is no records show a disaster of this disagreement ever occurring here in 2004... It's unlike anything we've seen before..." Mash explains

"Weird, I'll tell you... But I'll be honest: It reminds me of Crisis Cit- *Suddenly Hears Something* Hmmm?" Sonic commented

"Kyaaaaaaaa!"

"That voice!" Mash exclaimed

"Come on, Mash! Let's see what's up!" Sonic stated

A minute later, the two arrive at the source of the shouting and find Olga surrounded by a group of enemies walking toward her, ready to kill her. Sweating profusely, Olga could only watch the enemies getting closer to her by the second and had few options to fight back.

"W-Why do things like this happen to me every time?! Who the hell are these guys?! *Notices An Enemy Rasining Their Sword Up* S-STOP!" Olga cried out

Before the enemy can finish Olga off, a Blue streak suddenly appears, running around the enemies at extreme speeds, forming a tornado that lifts them and swoops them away from Olga. Olga was utterly baffled by the sudden event happening.

"H-Huh...? W-Wha just happened...?" Olga shock

"*Skids To Stop Himself In Front Of Olga* Hey there, did you miss me? I saw you were in a bit of trouble, so I decided to give you a helping hand. You're welcome." Sonic said

"You did wonderful again, Senpai! Not only that, but you managed to save the Director!" Mash commented

"W-What the?! Mash Kyrielight! What is the meaning of all this?! Why are you here with the talking animal?! I thought he was supposed to be in the room we put him in!" Olga exclaimed

"F-Forgive me, Director... I was heavily injured from the explosion that occurred inside the Command Room... I saw two candidates being saved by Sonic before he came to save me..." Mash explains

"I did what I could to save the three from the explosion. I tried looking for any other survivors... But came out empty-handed... But whatever caused this amount of damage, we will deal with it. So sorry to say, Director of this Chaldea place, but we'll be working until we get to the bottom of this." Sonic stated

"And who were these other two you managed to save as well?" Olga asks

"They go by the names of Ritsuka Fujimaru and Rikka Tachibana. That's the only information I know about those two." Sonic replies

"So you managed to save the lazy Master candidates from the explosion... *Sighs* Despite you being some animal that came out of nowhere, you manage to save at least three members. Alright, I'll make the deal and help try to fix this Singularity and return to Chaldea. And, of course, I approve yours and Kyrielight's Contract." Olga stated

"That's all I needed to hear from you. Mash, how about we continue this Leyline thing Romani told us about?"

"Sure thing, Senpai! Give me one moment. *Places Her Shield Down On The Ground*."

"Hey there! Now, I'm able to connect perfectly well! Now, with the Leyline put into place, I'll be able to communicate with you better and provide as much support as possible." Romani said

"What are you doing, Archaman, inside the Command Room!? Only Lev has access to the Command Room!" Olga exclaimed

"H-Huh?! Are you alive, Director?!"

"That isn't important right now! Professor Lev should be the one doing everything in the Command Room. Not the Head of Mecidal!" Olga replies

"(Sheesh... She can keep that attitude up for a long time.)" Sonic thought

"I know... I know I'm not supposed to be here... Nor did I ever think I'd even do this in the first place... But only 20 staff members are alive and working on repairing the Command Room. However, Dr. Lev is missing and hasn't been seen for a while now..." Romani explain

"W-What... L-Lev isn't there...?" Olga concern

"Yeah... As for the Master candidates, many of them are in critical condition. Only Fujimaru and Tachibana are safe and being treated, as well as a couple of others... However, we don't have enough supplies to accommodate everyone else, which could lead to them..."

"Why... Why is everything happening in the first place...?! Tch... Romani, put the candidates into Cryopreserve! We'll find a way to revive them once the three of us return to Chaldea!" Olga commanded

"R-Right! I'll get on that right this instant! Don't worry, Director!" Romani obliged

"I hope we find a way to save the others in time. I couldn't help out all of them while I was at the Command Room..." Sonic commented

"We'll save them, Senpai! I know we will! But, I am surprised you decided to use cryopreserved without the candidates' consent despite it being a crime." Mash explained

"I am not going to be the reason the candidates all die! I won't allow them to leave this place at such young ages! I'll take on the Association with Lev if I have to!" Olga said

"Alright, with the information I gathered, Chaldea lost 80% of its functionality... There's so much the staff members who are alive can do right now. But I'll shift those to Rayshift repairs and keeping check of Chaldeas and Sheba. Once everything is running, I'll make an emergency request for supplies." Romani replies

"Good idea. I don't have any more options to go through, so I'm putting you in charge of Chaldea while the three of us are here investigating this Singularity." Olga stated

"H-Huh?! You mean-"

"I don't have time to listen to your comments; now's the time to be serious! So, for now, we'll investigate the Singularity's cause. Once we know the cause and fix it, we'll try to return to Chaldea. Then send a more experienced team to clear it up." Olga said

"I guess I don't have an option then. Very well, I'll keep in contact with you three while you're investigating the Singularity. Good luck, you three. *Disconnects*."

"*Sighs* It'll be a while before someone saves us... Especially those bastards at the Association who are always bothersome to me. Forget it; we don't have time to stand and do nothing; we need to move on and start looking around!" Olga said

*Sometime Later*

"*Looking Up At The Bridge That Was Still In Tact* Well, at least some structures aren't engulfed in flames. But still, no matter where we go. Everything is up in flames, buildings destroyed, not a soul in sight... Nothing..." Sonic commented

"Don't worry, Senpai. We'll figure out the cause of this disaster soon! None of this should have occurred in the first place!" Mash promised

"I hope so. However, I have some ideas on who may cause this incident. There's no way something like this occurs out of nowhere." Sonic commented

"Uh, hello? Have you already forgotten about my existence? I'm in the same situation as you, yet you don't acknowledge me!" Olga exclaimed

"Hehe~ Sorry about that, Olga. I was thinking about how to deal with a situation like this. I have been through several adventures in the past before. But one is different compared to those." Sonic said

"What the hell are you talking about? How can someone like you claim that you've been on adventures before? How can you become a qualified Master despite not knowing anything about and coming from a different world!" Olga exclaimed

"I don't have an explanation of how I became a Master. I can only tell you that reality is stranger than fiction~"

"Why did I even bother asking you in the first place...?"

"But, I do know a little information about these so-called Servants around here," Sonic mentioned

"Now you're talking, animal. It's great knowing I won't spend much time discussing Heroic Spirits. Servants are heroes from the past turned into familiars. Servants are usually contracted to Masters, as you are by some stroke of luck. There are seven Servant classes, and they are based on a Servant's history and abilities. Those classes were Saber, Archer, Rider, Caster, Berserker, and Assassin. Each Servant is unique to one another and will manifest in these Classes. They also use their Classes to hide their True Names to prevent their enemies from knowing about their weaknesses and use them to their advantage." Olga explains

"Sounds interesting if you ask me. But even still, I don't know how to meet these guys, so I'm honestly alright if I do this all alone with Mash here." Sonic replies

"It's okay, Senpai. Even if you can't summon a Servant or meet one, I'll happily help you out regardless. I won't leave you all by yourself." Mash promises

"Thanks, Mash. I'm glad to know that you have my back. And also, we got company." Sonic stated

A few enemies appear and slowly walk towards the three. Olga panics as she gets behind Mash. Sonic dashes toward one of the enemies, leaps at them, and performs a Sonic Eagle, kicking the enemy right on top of its head and dropping it to the ground. He curls into a ball, grinds on the ground, and creates a shockwave that knocks the enemy back into a light pole, hitting it; still, Sonic homing attacks directly at its head, crushing it between the pole and him as it breaks into smaller pieces, defeating the first enemy. Another enemy raises its sword in front of Mash, but she quickly swings her shield across, knocking the enemy back, and runs toward it. Roundhouse kicks it on its face, pushing it back toward another enemy, slamming into another. Mash throws her shield directly at them.

"*Sighs* I'm never going to get used to these ambushes, aren't I...?" Olga commented.

"Hehe~ You're already doing a great job in taking care of these guys, Mash," Sonic said

"It wasn't as much, but at least you recognize my efforts, Senpai. Though, Sonic, I just realized you know nothing about Chaldea." Mash replies

"Can't argue with that. I travel to this world not knowing anything about it. Get taken in and already being qualified as a Master. It happened so quickly as well." Sonic commented

"I can understand where you are coming from, Sonic. I started working two years ago and still can't fully grasp what Chaldea is... But I do have SOME information about it. Chaldea Security Organization. Or, more accurately, the Security Organization for the Preservation of Humanity fines Chaldea—an organization to prevent Humanity from ending terribly. Mainly, Mages, Scaholrar, and Researchers are involved with this, but you're the first outside those three to be involved with Chaldea. Chaldea is backed by many across the globe, but the most source of income comes from London, where the Mages Association resides." Mash explains

"Man... I'm glad I was the one who made their way here instead of Egghead. Had he been the one to travel to this world? It would've caused more issues for both this and my world. Anyway, anything else I should know about?" Sonic commented

"The money mainly comes from the Animusphere Family. Director Olga Marie's family. Chaldea operates on a military level due to its secret and importance. That's why strict rules are put in place in Chaldea. She'll get rid of any staff member she doesn't like." Mash continues on

"I knew that already about Olga... Her attitude and you and Romani called her Director several times." Sonic replies

"Attitude?!" Olga exclaimed

"You should also know this, Sonic. Three years ago, the previous Director, her father, passed away, and she had to take over Chaldea when she was just a student. Since then, it's been stressful day after stressful day. She had to take over as head of the Animusphere family. Around that time, an anomaly was found in Chaldeans. We could no longer see into the promised future 100 years from now. Chaldea was commanded to fix these problems as soon as possible. To make matters worse, they found she had no aptitude to be a Master. The Animusphere family, one of the Twelve Lords, is the dominating Astronomy faculty at the Mage's scandal would occur if the head of such a family were found unfit to become a Master. She still worked to be her absolute best as Director. This last half-year, she's just barely been hanging on. I'd like her to come for counseling, but with how things are… In any event, she's been emotionally stretched to the limit." Romani explained

"Now I have a better understanding of how Olga is. Sure, the two of us aren't on the best terms currently. But I don't see her as a terrible person after. She needs someone who truly supports her. And I'm here to help her when she needs it~" Sonic commented.

"Glad to know you're supporting her regardless of how things are going with you. She isn't cruel; she's serious since she's the director. Anyway, you're the only three I can trust right now. I want you to continue investigating without fighting." Romani said
