Amir-A prince from a distant land.

Emiko-A shrine maiden who protects the land behind the waterfall.

Amir Sr.-Amir's father in this story.

Annie-Amir's sister in this story.

A prince was traveling all over the world. He wasn't thinking of settling, but traveled to be free. He had a good sense of adventure. It was Summer. He stayed at the inn in Zephyr Town, the windy town, nestled in a land of poor people.

Well, they weren't poor, but they weren't rich, either.

But the prince was.

He was often in white and blue and red and yellow. He had white hair and blue eyes and dark skin.

He also often strolled leisurely throughout the town.

There wasn't much to look at, but there were plenty of people.

He liked, especially, to visit the waterfall for a time. It was so beautiful to the prince, he visited everyday.

One day, the prince saw a cave was behind the fall!

He entered it and found himself on the other side. There were a rockway of stones leading to a house.

Then, a beautiful lady went outside of the house and approached him!

She was in a purple, red and white dress, blue flowers in her long, black hair and purple eyes.

"Who-Who are you?!" she asked, shyly.

"I am Prince Amir Ranjit Raj Singh," said the prince. "But call me, 'Amir'."

"I am the shrine maiden," said the lady. "I am Emiko." This she said with a bow.

"Why stay here of all places?" Amir gestured around.

"This is my shrine," she said. "I protect it."

"It's beautiful!" said Amir. "And you are more so!"

Emiko blushed. "I must say, I am pleased!"

Amir bowed, as well. "And I must say I'm also pleased! To meet someone new."

Then the shadows filled trees.

"It's getting late. I'll have to leave. But next time I return, I'll bring something nice," said Amir.

"'Return.'?" asked Emiko.

"May I return?" asked Amir.

"Yes!" said Emiko. "I like the company."

So, both agreed to meet again.

The next day, the grand bazaar was happening.

Amir went up to the Rare Coin Raffle.

He won! He won every prize their was!

He won Magical Water! All five of them!

"Emiko will love these!"

Amir arrived in the other world that same day.

"I have a present, like I said I should!" he said.

He got out the Magic Waters and presented them to her.

"What are these?" Emiko asked.

"Magic Waters," said Amir. "They're supposed to strengthen people. Permanently!"

Emiko was about the drink them. Then she thought.

"I want you to drink them!" she said. "I want you to get strong."

"Then let's share!" said Amir. "I'll have two and you'll have three."

So, they shared drinks to help them get stronger.

And their relationship grew stronger.

Seasons past. It was now Fall. Amir continued to visit Emiko.

"Why visit me so much?" Emiko asked Amir.

"I like you, Emiko," Amir said. "Romantically."

"I like you, too, Amir!" said Emiko. "And I must admit, I enjoy the gifts you give me. May I ask something? Are you rich?"

Amir grinned. "I am!" said he. "I'm a prince!"

"What is a prince?" asked Emiko.

Amir blinked. Emiko didn't know much about the outside world.

"The son of a king. A king rules over a land," Amir said. "Which brings me to my next point-Want to meet my father, the king and my sister, the princess?"

Emiko was intrigued. "I admit, those words mean nothing to me! But, I must say, I won't be able to attend."

Amir frowned. "Why not?"

"I've lived in the shrine my entire life!" Emiko said. "I'm too scared to leave!"

Amir held her hands in his. "My father and sister are good people. How about instead of me guiding you to my father's house for his birthday, I bring my father and sister here?"

Emiko looked at the ground. "I suppose."

"Good!" said Amir. "I'll send them a letter right away!"

Soon, Amir, Amir's father and Amir's sister had arrived to Zephyr Town.

Amir lead them to the other side of the waterfall.

Amir's father and Amir were strikingly similar. His sister and he looked the same, except she had blonde hair instead of white.

"Emiko," said Amir. "This is my dad, Amir Sr. and my sister, Annie."

"Nice to meet you!" said Annie.

"Charmed," said Amir Sr.

Emiko shook hands with both of them.

The father and sister looked around.

"Interesting place you have here," said Amir Sr. "So! Is Amir your first boyfriend?"

Amir was surprised! "It's not like that, Dad!"

"What's a boyfriend?" Emiko whispered into Amir's ear.

Amir Sr. heard her. "I think we should leave."

He was guiding his children away, but Amir shook him.

"Amir! I forbid you to see that woman!" said Amir Sr. "Years living alone has left her a daft person. We're going home. Now!"

Amir looked at Emiko.

"Emiko? Do you love me?"

"I may not know much, but I know what love is. Yes. I love you," said Emiko.

"Would it be okay if I lived with you?" Amir asked. "That we may marry?"

"I'd love that, too!" Emiko said.

They were about to turn around, but were stopped.

"Wait!" Amir Sr. yelled. "I don't want to lose you. Marry you love. Return from home and to the shrine whenever you wish."

"How about we live with my father and sister, than, Emiko?" Amir asked.

"I want to," Emiko said. "'But who would look after the shrine?"

"I'll look after it!" Annie said.

Everyone was surprised!

"Why?" asked Amir.

"I want to live from far away, too! Your letters had me wanting to leave."

"Then it's settled!" said Amir Sr. "Emiko will live with us, too, Amir!"

And so, Amir and Emiko lived a lavish life the rest of their days.
