They were having breakfast at the campsite's cafe, and they were leaving the next day to head back home, it was the end of the week for their Roswell part of the trip. Tess had a good time there was plenty to see in the town and they went too the rock formation a few more times. Today they were meeting max and the others to say goodbye.
They town park was empty when they pulled up. Max had wanted to meet there, and they saw the same 5 people that were at the reservation. When they got to the 5, Max said he wanted to meet there because it was where he healed a bird after leaving his pod. They sat and talked about the difference between how they grew up. Max and his gang stayed in Roswell, that was closer to their heritage, Tess and Riley left, and max didn't know until then they could leave. Max explained that the original place they were left seemed to hold a pull for them. Tess assured them that it was a normal place to be where they came from. After they left the park, they went to the rock formation one last time before leaving.
In the morning they were packing there bags to get back on the road. Once on the road they headed for the campsite at the boarder. At the campsite it was raining. there was also thunder with he rain. She remembered what Nesado said about the rain and thunder from their planet, that the rain and thunder clashed at the strikes, and the thunder could literally stop the rain from falling. Tess liked the story and she wondered how possible it was for that to happen on earth.
Later that the night, in the tent, ready for bed, Tess was lying awake listening to the thunder. Riley and Kate were already sleeping, Tess fell asleep dreaming of a rhythm pattern of rain.
