AN: A random idea I had. Apologies for its incompleteness.

It was just a random idea Arthur had: to see those smiling children before Christmas Day and yet to keep that magic stay in their hearts. He never really ment the idea to see the light of day, but some things managed to slip through the cracks somehow.

His dad thought his idea was interesting to say the least, though Steven wasn't afraid to mention it's rather impractical to pick up children by train and to dress up the North Pole before the big day... but he does acknowledge it would be a magical night for disheartened children. Arthur wondered if he remembered that night.

Of course Grandsanta would say that bringing in a train to the North Pole isn't very traditional, especially when it wasn't as familiar as reindeer drawn sleds. ...Still, Arthur had seen the look in his eye when he saw the blueprints of that old fashioned train.

His mom was her usual supportive self, and even some of the elves, Bryony included, were open to the idea. Maybe as a change of pace from their usual jobs.

Arthur simply hoped someday that he could make the Polar Express a reality someday.
