-Chapter 13: The Return to UA-

The amount of progress Son Goku had achieved in the week he was with us was astounding! After the Hosu Incident, he was able to fly incredibly fast and with greater precision than when he came around here! And that's not to say about his Kamehameha Wave Attack, he was able to steer the beam itself! Though that steering came at a greater cost of focus and energy. There's not much more I can say about his standard physical prowess, since he's already extraordinarily refined in strength, speed, and reflex. He even was able to evacuate a few people to the nearest shelters that still had vacancies! I am so going to miss having him be around here, and we want to thank you for sending here to the Ryukyu Agency! -Nejire Hado

The end of the Internship Period had finally come. While, unfortunately, Goku's Hero Costume was torn apart by the Hosu Incident, there are a few scraps of cloth to bring back. Dressed back in the UA Uniform, he heads towards the door, with Nejire and Ryukyu escorting him to the door.

"Son Goku, it has been an absolute honor hosting you for your internship. If you ever have an interest in conducting your Work-Studies here, I will welcome you with open arms," Ryukyu spoke with a smile.
"It was incredible having you over here, Goku-kun!" Nejire said excitedly. "Seeing how you work, how you trained, how your Quirk works, it was so amazing!"
"I gotta say the same right back at you, Nejire! I can't believe how strong you are when I first met!" Goku complimented.
"While I don't think it was necessary to have Sir Nighteye test you so early on, I will admit he was right about you. You've exceeded my own expectations and showcased how serious you were about being a Hero, while still having compassion towards others. I hope to see you grow into a further better Hero in the future," Ryukyu waved goodbye.
"See you later, Goku-kun!" Nejire waved at him.
"See ya later!" Goku waved his final goodbye, as he finally left the Ryukyu agency.

The train ride was, thankfully, uneventful. There were fewer people riding the train, and not too much going on. He can only hope that Izuku, Shoto, and Tenya had recovered well enough when they came home. And a small part of him was worried if Momo was caught up in the crisis, due to the Uwambi Agency being at the practical doorstep to Hosu Ward. He'll see for himself, soon enough.

At the end of the line in Musutafu, there were a handful of students that returned. The ones that Son did see at the station were Shoji, who greeted him with a nod and a wave, alongside Fumikage and Eijiro. Including a Momo who is glad to see a familiar face again.

"Son-san!" Momo shouted, as she ran towards Goku. "You are absolutely a sight for sore eyes. How was your internship?"
"Oh, Ryukyu was amazing, Momo! I got to learn more about being a Hero, had a bunch of training to hone my Quirk, even helped with evacuating a few people!"
"Wow, you really had a lot going on. I'm quite envious!" she smiled a little. "I'll admit, my internship was... intriguing. Though we learned quite a bit about different aspects of society, in addition to hosting a shelter at the Agency, I felt like I wanted to learn more, if you can get what I mean?"
"Hmm, I can kind of get it, though I think you're honestly a much better Hero to rescue others than I ever will be, with how amazing your Quirk is. And you run laps around me when it comes to protocol and all that stuff!" the Saiyan chuckled.
"I'm touched you think that highly of me, Son-san. However, part of me really hoped that I could learn more about self-defense. I guess I was not thinking about it too much when I was deciding who I should intern under," the ponytail teenager spoke, a little disappointed.
"Hey, if you want me to help you refresh your martial arts, feel free to let me know, alright?" Goku offered. She look at him, with a surprised expression on her face.
"You would be willing to do that?"
"Of course I am! A part of being a Hero is to become better together, at least that's what my father taught me!"
"I'll consider it, Son-san. As long as my mother is alright with it, then I might be able to take it up with you." Momo was happy, as the two left the station and head towards UA. From afar, a certain pink-skinned girl spying felt a tinge towards the two. For some reason, those two looked absolutely adorable as a couple. Is it the black hair and black eyes? Is it the shared compassion between the two? What could it be?

However, Aizawa was at the entrance of the school, waiting for Son specifically.
"Yaoyorozu. I will need to borrow Son for a moment. Head into the classroom and wait for me." Aizawa said.
"Oh, of course, Sensei," Momo bowed, before she went ahead.

"While it's not uncommon for a Quirk to manifest in different ways, Son, never had I thought you would occupy all three spaces of Quirk categories. I would much prefer to learn more about that giant ape transformation up at Principal Nezu's office, so that we can plan if you are caught out in the full moon yet again," The tired teacher explained as he walked with his student.
"Right," Goku said softly. The two were mostly quiet, until they were inside Nezu's office. Inhabiting the office space was Nezu and the Madam President of the Hero Commission.

"Good morning, Son," Nezu introduced.
"We have not met formally, Son Goku. But rest assured, do not be afraid of my presence," Meri Kinoshita, more famously known as "the Madam President", spoke. "I simply want a question answered. Nothing more, nothing less."
"That being...?" Goku asked, a bit intimidated by the woman.
"That transformation, the 'Great Ape', as you called it. Are you able to control it?" She asked. Her demeanor was serious, looking at him like a hawk, seeing how its prey will move before going in.

"Truth be told, I have some control over it. However, it isn't absolute. If something attacks me, I lose control and my body acts on its own instincts, though if someone I recognize is nearby and calling out to me, I can wrestle control back," He spoke the truth as he understood it. The room was silent, though she was pacing a bit.

"Hmm, that is disappointing news. Though, it's not all bad, Son Goku. However, I am familiar with the story of your first transformation. Yoroi Musha had cut off your tail to prevent you from unleashing devastation upon the nation, though it seems that you can regrow it. I would say to have your tail removed permanently, but the fact that no one had died by your hand in the Hosu Incident shows to me that you indeed have an acceptable amount of control. However, we want you to not lose yourself at all when you become that giant ape, so my recommendation is for you to train even more, so that you can keep all of your sense of self, no matter what. Will you be able to do it?"
"I can and will, ma'am," Goku replied. Meri smiled a little.
"Then I have no reason to fear a giant ape rampage in the future, Son Goku. Though from what I know about you, you are not the type to intentionally inflict harm upon someone else for no reason, and from what I had seen during your tutelage at UA, your growth is remarkable. I'm mostly just warning you so that you will not be killed in action if a gung-ho Hero mistook you for a Nomu."
"Sadly, you're not the first one with that worry," He lamented.
"Indeed. Just practice more caution for the future, especially on nights where the full moon is out. I am looking forward to seeing further growth from you."

With her piece said, the Madam President leaves Nezu's office again. Aizawa looked a bit more irritated.

"Of the visitors you had in the office, Principal, it had to be the Madam President." He huffed.
"Unfortunately, my hands were tied about that one. Though at least our little meeting here gave us some valuable insight to Son's Quirk. The ability to transform into a giant ape by looking at the moonlight, almost exactly like lycanthropy from the old tales," Nezu mused. "So, Son, you were able to train to keep some of your mental faculties before you came to UA?"
"Yes. Because I could not risk losing my entire sense of self if I had looked at the full moon. It took three years before I could even get to a point where I could at least communicate to my dad without going berserk," Goku confessed.
"That does sound like cheating, but if this form was really as dangerous as your stories made it out to be, then there wasn't really any other option. Just please exercise caution, see if you can get the Support Class to get you some headgear that'd allow you to stay outside during the full moon," Aizawa shrugged.
"Funny enough, Aizawa-sensei, there's actually something that can help!" Goku chimed in.
"Hmm?" His teacher was curious, until Goku produced and put on a pair of sunglasses with green frames.
"Sunglasses!" The teen said, with a victory sign and a sheen. Aizawa was not amused, though the Principal was intrigued.

"Huh, that does makes sense, Son. Sunglasses utilizes polarizing lenses to block out some of the sunlight due to how light functions as a wave and particle. Moonlight is simply just sunlight reflected off the moon's surface. And if all it takes to transform is to look up at the full moon, then sunglasses should block out enough waves to nullify any transformation sequence!" Nezu had a eureka moment.

"Though what if it's too dark out, then Son is no better than a bat during the night," Aizawa countered.
"Mmm..." Nezu pondered. "We could allow Son to have a dial to the side of his headgear to alter how much light is being filtered by the polarizing filter. That way, he will be able to get out during the day and night if he so chooses."
"Hmm, not a bad idea at all, guys!" Goku chimed in. "Right, if that's possible, I should see about getting something like that!"
"Well, that's another case closed on the Mysteries of Son Goku," Aizawa sighed. "We'll need to get to class. We've praddled on for too long."
"My sincerest apologies, Aizawa, I got a bit too carried away talking about the logistics of Son's headgear," Nezu felt slightly embarrassed. "Thank you two for coming in!"

"My, oh my, problem child," his teacher had the biggest grin on his face as they left the office. "Not only had your Quirk developed in ways I hadn't even thought, but you had the Madam President involved."
"C'mon, Aizawa-sensei!" Goku felt extra defensive. "I never told anyone because I didn't think it was necessary!"
"Fair enough. Besides, I would rather not go into your life story unless it was important. In today's case, it was important. I'll need to have a talk with your parents, see if there's any other teachers who can help with teaching you to control that Great Ape transformation, all that lovely business. As long as no one dies on my watch, then we won't be enemies, Son."

The two entered the room. Now, there was a class of 19, the missing seat was that of Tenya Iida's.

"Hah! Fifteen minute rule! We don't have classes for the period!" Mina chimed excitedly.
"That's now how it works, Ashido. That's never been a rule, and it will never be a rule." Aizawa annoyingly retorts.
"Where is Iida-chan, ribbit? He's usually not so late," Asui asked.
"Simple. He was expelled," the teacher blunty said, having a look of genuine anger, eliciting a gasp from most of his class. His voice had a chill, an even more venomous side that is rarely showcased. "While I would rather not regale about the tragedy that was Iida's expulsion, considering what he had done, I will make an exception as a warning to each and every single one of you. He was acting as a vigilante against the Hero Killer. Not only that, but he wanted to kill him. For this reason, we had decided to expel him from 1A. If he is able to show that he's improved from such behaviors within the next term, then he may be allowed to come back. But mark my words here, students. Never. Be. A. Vigilante."

The class looked silent, even a slight forlorn over their loss. Even Katsuki, usually the first one who would make a comment, was stunned by how badly Iida screwed up. That being said, the darkest expression was held by Izuku. Even though he knew of Tenya's fate, it's still chilling to have his Homeroom teacher to say it loud and clear to the rest of the class.

"I'll take your silence as the lesson sinking in. Good. Before we move on, because Iida was the Vice President, we'll need to replace him. Any suggestions for who?" Aizawa asked. It took a bit, but it started with one voice speaking up first.
"I think Son Goku will make for an excellent Vice President," Momo spoke up.
"Yeah, I'm gonna have to agree with her on that one. Ain't nobody manlier than Son here," Eijiro added on.
"As much as I'd rather not agree with Ponytail or Shitty Hair, Monkey's actually pretty good," Katsuki agreed, to the surprise of the class. While Momo had a slight glare to how she's designated by Katsuki, he simply shrugs while staring at her. Unlike the others, she had a ponytail. It just makes sense.

"That settles it. For now, Son Goku's the new Vice President. As for classes, they will continue on as normal. For Hero Fundamentals, the next activity will involve Class 1B. Personally, it wasn't my idea, but it's a fairly brilliant plan, all things considering," Aizawa announced.

This... was kind of unexpected, the entire class thought, but they're actually kind of pumped up to what this activity will be. It still is a major blow to lose Tenya, though if all things go right, then he'll be able to rejoin them! Though before that, there's the standard school loop that was kind of refreshing in a boring, yet slow paced way, or at least as much of a loop as having everyone back by eleven o'clock can be. Of course, of all the things everyone missed, it was the crazy affordable and godly foods offered by Lunch Rush.

Due to Goku's increased control in his ability to control the trajectory of his energy attacks, one consequence was that he had developed the ability to levitate and move objects by focusing on them. In tandem, he developed a trick of telekinetically drinking water, as if it was floating in microgravity. It's borderline useless for combat at the moment since it only works on objects weighing in at or less than a few kilograms, but it makes for a fun hat trick. Seeing it firsthand, Ochako can only elicit a giggle at what he's doing. Of course, when Izuku reunited with Ochako and he heard of what Son had done, he had to write it down in his Hero Journal.

During the break, there were still conversations going on. Maybe slightly less orderly due to Tenya's expulsion, but still. That seems to be a recurring theme with these batch of problem children, Aizawa thought to himself, as he just has Izuku and Shoto helping him grade his papers in the Teacher's Lounge.

"Man, all of you seem so much more manlier than the last time I saw you!" Eijiro spoke out.
"Well, aside from Iida-chan, ribbit," Asui remarked. "Speaking of which, where's Izu-chan and Todoroki-san?"
"They are serving detention, Tsuyu-san," Momo pointed out. "Aizawa-sensei told me before lunch that it was because those two committed vigilantism, though as he stressed, those two were saving him alongside Native. I would guess it's a similar punishment that Son-san received after the USJ Incident."
"Damn, that's a stinker!" Denki commented. "I was gonna ask the two about that giant ape that suddenly appeared while Hosu was attacked!"
"Actually, I am quite curious about that, too," Momo turned to Denki. "We heard a low rumble, about three kilometers out. At first, we thought it was a Nomu, but the roaring sounded... uncannily familiar."
"Hmph, are you sure it wasn't Monkey?" Katsuki jumped into the conversation.
"That's a serious accusation, ribbit," Asui said. "Why would Goku-chan transform into a giant monkey?"

All the while, Goku was nervous as they were talking. With no Izuku to deflect the question, they're going to ask more questions. He wants to tell them, yet he's still afraid with how they'd react. However, Momo noticed his nervousness and seemed to understand where it's stemming from.

"Look, everyone, we don't even know if that's something Son-san is capable of," she explained. "If it is something he can do, it would be for the best if he were to reveal it himself, not to dwell on these rumors."
"I'm sorry, Yaomomo-chan, ribbit," Asui seemed a bit remorseful about her part. Most of the group members feel clammy after the Class President spoke her piece, aside from Katsuki.
"It's quite alright, Tsuyu-san. I know you were more defensive about him, but we shouldn't entertain these rumors. The same goes for all of you."
"Fine, we'll stop talking about it, Ponytail," Katsuki begrudgingly agreed, as he decides to return to his seat.
"Yep. Though for the record, if that is something Son can do, that would be awesome," the red haired student said his piece before removing himself from the group.

"Thanks for stepping in for me, Momo," Goku thanked his friend.
"It's no problem, Son-san. It's not something we should dwell upon," she replied.
"Just so you know, I was actually a giant ape that night because of the full moon, and that roar did come from me," he admitted to her. "I don't want to reveal it to the others just yet, but Izuku and Shoto already know."
"Hmm, I had an inkling that it was you, though I didn't have empirical proof to make a conclusion." Momo sighs. "My sincere apologies for getting in on the conversation."
"Don't worry too much about it, Momo. Better that I told you about it now than later. The others will know about it, I would just rather not reveal it all today," He says, before returning to his desk.

By the time of Hero Fundamentals, Shoto and Izuku return to the classroom with Aizawa, as well as All Might.

"I am here!" All Might announces as he gets into the classroom. "And for this time, I have brought along a teacher!" An unfamiliar teacher, though decked out in his Hero Costume, appeared before them.
"Good afternoon, Class 1-A. I am your teacher's opposite, as in I am Class 1-B's Homeroom Teacher. You may call me Kan-sensei while we're in the classroom, but you are to call me Vlad King out in the field!"

There was some buzzing among the student body, though All Might soon got their attention.

"Let's settle down, Heroes!" All Might yelled. "Today's exercise will take us to Ground Gamma, where you and Kan-sensei's Class 1-B shall have to... one minute," He bemoans to himself as he pulls out a note, to the exacerbation of both Eraserhead and Vlad. "Race towards a distress beacon from one of several locations! Nailed it." The Hero Fundamentals teacher finished.
"There is a discrepancy, however. Son's Hero Costume was destroyed during his time away from UA. For now, you will have to make due with your PE Suit, but you are to return to the Support Department with a plan to fabricate a new one as soon as possible," Aizawa said.
"No problem, Aizawa-sensei!" Goku replied.
"That's why we're in school, Young Son!" All Might laughed hardheartedly. "Let's meet up at Ground Gamma and change into your Hero Costumes!"

Of course, the problems start with 1A and 1B's boys locker room. In that it's cramped due to all the boys, minus one Son Goku, trying to go in there Battle Royale style.
"Hey, boys!" Vlad barked out. "Go in an orderly fashion and change that way! There's no need to be so idiotic about the entire thing!"

Of course, the girls came back out, already decked in their Hero Costumes relatively quickly. Due to the boys taking so long, aside from Goku slipping into the PE Suit, they decide to initiate some small talk among each other, inviting him to join in.

"I think this is gonna be so much fun!" Goku said, a bit excited.
"Heh, even out here, you're full of competitive blood, aren't you Son-san?" Setsuna lightly ribbed, with a smirk. "Just like you were back at the Sports Festival."
"Not gonna lie, I would love to trade Monoma-san for him," Itsuna joked with a grin.
"Unfortunately for you, he's as priceless as a jade statuette," Momo had to shoot back with a joke of her own. "However, you can have Mineta-san."
"For the love of Joseph, we do not want that lecherous devil," Ibara rejects soundly.
"He's gotten slightly better since Goku and our girls' pranked him!" Mina helpfully pointed out. "...Though that is still a rather bad trade."
"Understatement of the year," A rather diminutive Yui added on.
"Son-san seems like he's quite the fun guy, though!" Kinoko spoke, smiling a little at him.
"He is definitely a ray of sunshine in our class, that's for sure," Kyoka replied. "Seriously, he makes all of our days better when he's around."
"For sure!" Toru hopped in. "I know I can't speak for Goku-san, but he's so courteous!"

Of course, as the Devil's name is heard, he spies on the coagulation of ladies around the monkey-tailed teen from the entrance. Incredibly jealous, this grape is.

"What does Son-san have that I don't?!" Mineta questioned rather loudly. "I got the fun-sized charms, the charisma..."
"Dude, get over it. Son-san's just that absolutely manly," Eijiro said, getting his suspenders on. "He's a true man's man that would treat women with respect."
"And unlike you and your grape-flavored testicles, Monkey has a much less grating personality," Katsuki added on as he got his gloves on, though Denki snorts.
"What, did you test it out to see if it was true?" Denki started to say, only to burst out laughing.
"You're so dead, Pichu!" Katsuki yelled, as he was chasing him around. "Stop running and let me kill you!"
"How pitiful. Still acting like a bunch of children, aren't we, 1-A?" Neito taunted.
"Says the overly serious teenager," Rikido Sato grinned, as he puts on his mask. "We're still teens, after all!"

After more time, the two groups were finally out of the locker rooms.

"...This has to be one of the biggest mistakes I had agreed to..." Aizawa bemoaned the entire thing. It took nearly ten minutes before everyone was dressed in their costumes.
"Hey, you agreed to this, Eraserhead, now you got to face the consequences," Vlad grinned.

"Well, Heroes-in-Training! You shall be competing in teams of eight! ...Aside from one being a team of seven, but it shouldn't matter! Come over here and draw a letter! Whichever one you get shall be your designated team!" All Might commands. The large bowl has two holes with a silicone sleeve, so they can pick out their teams while someone else is using it. It took a minute thirty before everyone drew lots. Goku found himself in Team B, alongside Neito, Rikido, Ochako, Minoru, Kyoka, Setsuna, and Yui.

"Kyeheheh! How fortunate I finally get to be close to you, Son Goku!" Neito laughed at his good fortune. Though it was soon stopped by Rikido having a hand on his classmate's head as he shoves himself forward. This guy is a giant compared to the nimble Saiyan!
"Don't worry too much about this small pipsqueak here, Son," The Kinnikuman-looking teen said with a cocky smile. "You should be worrying about me, the great Sugarman!"
"Sugarman...?" Goku wondered to himself. Then it clicked on him. "Does that mean you can make a lot of desserts?" This caused Rikido to deflate significantly.
"I-I mean, I do like baking, b-but have you ever watched or read Kinnikuman...?" He said, looking desperately, just hoping this kid can get it. This time, Goku does get it.
"Oh, I get what you mean! That wrestling story! Actually, now that you reminded me, you look like a character from that series!" The Saiyan cheerfully said. This reinvigorated Sugarman, who started to laugh.
"I thought I would have to had busted out a Sugar Buster on you!" Rikido said with a grin. However, Goku simply gave a grin in return.
"If you could, Sato," He remarked, shocking his rival. "I already knew who you were, since Momo sometimes shared some leftover cake slices after school. And for the record, they are amazing."
"So, you were just joking around with me, eh? Heheh, you're pretty good, Son," The titanic teen remarked.
"I want to know all the names of my potential rivals. Because with all the Quirks I had seen, there's always going to be a challenge," Son remarks, looking at Monoma. "That includes you too, Monoma."
"Hmph, I don't need you to remind me, Son," the haughty 1B student huffed. "Once I can grab you, I'll be able to defeat you with your own power!"
"That is if you can catch me," the Saiyan said in a challenging tone.

"While I can respect a healthy rivalry, you three need to pay attention!" Kan called them out, the Saiyan feeling especially embarrassed being called out.
"Thank you, Vlad," Aizawa said, tired already of the three. "You'll do well to watch how these first eight runners navigate through Ground Gamma."

The large crowd gathered around a TV screen. The stream shows that Team A involves Izuku, Mashirao, Mina, and Hanta as 1A's representatives, alongside Itsuna, Reiko, Juzo, and a guy with a manga speech balloon who goes by, well, Manga as 1B's representatives.

"Heh, those 1A dilettantes are not even going to be a match for those four!" Neito continued his mocking fest, to the terminal annoyance of Katsuki.
"Says you, Copycat," Katsuki spat back at him. "I'm not gonna say that Deku's gonna beat all of us, especially not me, but he sure as Hell will beat your asses black and blue!"
"Eh... as much as I'd love to shut up that peacock, I dunno if Midoriya will actually do that well. He keeps on getting himself hurt because of his Quirk," Kyoka stated rather flatly.
"Heheh... I can't wait till I see what he pulls out next," Goku was anticipating, a glint in his eye is present as he looks at Izuku. "I saw him only get up to 8% of his true power last time we trained together."
"Tch, so that's how he improved..." Katsuki said to himself.

And soon, the first race begins. Goku looks at the other racers, seeing how they are navigating the pipescape. Itsuna is using her giant hands to more easily grip the pipes while running, Reiko summons small, metal plates to use as impromptu stepping stones, Juzo is literally swimming through the ground, all the while Manga shouts "BOING!" to use as springs to get himself moving in the air. As for the 1As, Hanta is tape-swinging through the pipescape, Mashirao's powerful tail is allowing him lateral speed, and Mina's skating on the ground, on occasion hopping above the pipes. Izuku, however, is using 8% of Full Cowl, with his amazing parkour skills.

"Woah, look at Deku-kun!" Ochako was shocked seeing him do so well. "He's navigating Ground Gamma like it's a staircase!"
"I guess that's no mistaking it, ribbit," Asui commented. "Izu-chan had improved considerably. Not only in his speed and freestyle running, but his Quirk control had gotten better."
"Hey! Don't you dare ignore us!" Neito loudly complained.
"Too late, Copycat," Katsuki said with a half-grin, half-furious grimace. "I have no idea what the Hell you've done, Deku, but you're pissing me off with how much you've improved...!"

...However, Izuku's praise had ended when he slipped up near the end of the run, because his heel had overshot and sent him down to the ground.

"Oh, Izuku! You've got to be kidding me?!" Goku shouted in uncharacteristic frustration, as he immediately falls onto his back, his legs twitching the air like spider legs. To basically everyone, it was instantaneous from when he was standing up to when he's on his back.
"Heh... Not so hot now, are you, Monkey?" Katsuki said with an absolutely delicious grin on his face.
"How did he actually fall over that fast, ribbit? There wasn't even any time when he was falling," Asui pointed out.

Unfortunately, Midoriya's slip-up meant he fell from 1st to 7th place. Even then, it was by mere tens of milliseconds before he would have gotten dead last.

"That was quite an intense race, you all had! And it's clear to me that all of your internships had helped all of you grow into better Heroes!" All Might proudly proclaims.
"Heh... Good job, Honenuki-san," Itsuna congratulated her classmate for winning 1st. Hanta looked a bit embarrassed, only getting second place by just a second.
"Please, it wasn't that easy," Juzo remarked bashfully, before he smiles at Midoriya. "You gave me a run for my money, Midoriya-san! Just... get a little better about parkour on these kinds of surfaces, alright?" He then turns to the Tape Hero. "Though you weren't too shabby either, Sero-san. You honor me with your grit."
"O-Okay, Honenuki-san!" Midoriya bows to him.

Round 2 was about to begin, as the eight racers got together.

"Hmm, so now it's Son-san's turn?" Shoto asked. "This should be interesting."
"Indeed," Fumikage joined in. "What we've seen at the sports festival is just the tip of the iceberg."
"I'll be the judge of that, my fellow shadow-folk," the shadow-black student Shihai Kuroiro, remarks.
"He better have improved, or else he's gonna be in a world of pain when he's done," Katsuki added on.

However, a few seconds after starting, they hear Goku yelling and an explosion following that. However, it wasn't just an explosion, it was a full-on sonic boom!

Goku, upon hearing the signal to start, begins by flying up to find where he'll need to go. After a few seconds of focus, he lets out a kiai, unleashing all his latent ki in a white aura to propel him through the air towards the target! However, because he had gathered energy by focusing, he had accidentally flown at sonic speed, his aura sharpening into a cone before breaking the barrier. Within a few second, he prepares to land at a flabbergasted All Might, a powerful gust of wind following shortly after he lands.

"Whoops...! Accidentally got a bit too much energy built up!" Goku nervously chuckled to himself.
"What the Hell was that, Son?!" Up came Setsuna, both impressed and pissed at him. "I'd thought my limbs would be blown away by that shock wave!"
"Gnn..." Up came Kyoka, holding a finger in her ear. "That sonic boom's still ringing in my ears... But that speed was incredible, Goku."
"Sorry, Jiro!"
"Heh, there's nothing to apologize for. You did what you needed to do. There's no shame in that."

A few seconds later, Rikido, with a Neito gripping onto him with Mineta Grapes, comes up.

"You know, Monoma-san, you're a real pain when you just climb onto other peoples' backs!" Rikido barked at his passenger.
"What, and let such a useful Quirk be used exclusively by that disgusting grape?" Neito countered, as he leaps off and glares at Goku. "Though sadly, I was too far away to get your amazing Quirk. You got lucky today."

A couple seconds after that, Ochako and Yui made it.

"Hehe... Goku-kun... That was amazing!" She cheered on her classmate. "You zoomed right over us when you broke the sound barrier!"
"Too fast," remarked Yui, looking at Son.

In eight place, panting...

"You two...!" Minoru points towards Neito and Rikido! "You... ruined my plans...!"
"Let me guess," The Earjacks Girl glared at Minoru. "Using the girls as a piggyback ride?"
"Ah, a good observation, 1A!" The arrogant 1B boy proudly goaded over. "That was but my master plan, to send one of your kind to last place!"

"U-Uh, I'd hate to cut the theatrics short, but we should let Team C take their turn!" All Might declared. "I-I guess I just got a bit... shell shocked with Son flying in so fast...!"

The rest of the competition went and gone, as the two teams of eight and the team of seven finished their little races. The general consensus was that 1A may have the experience fighting against Villains, but 1B were taught how to best utilize their Quirks.

"Hmm, you are truly my better half, Kan," Aizawa commented. "However, all in all, you all have done an acceptable job. This was a good first exercise to show where you all are in terms of experience and education. Let's go back to the classroom and assess why that is the case." He produced a small notepad, wrote something, and handed it to Son. "Except for you. Head over to the Support Department first before you come back, but do not waste our time."

And so, Son splits off from the Joint Group. It took a while, but soon, there was an explosion as Goku can barely keep himself upright.

"Mei! We had this same talk over and over again...!" Power Loader yelled, though he soon stumbled upon Goku waiting outside. "It's good to see you, Son. I'm assuming Aizawa-sensei sent you?"
"Yep!" Goku handed the piece of paper to the Toku-looking Hero. He nods.
"Right, complete costume fabrication... That'll take a little bit, but it shouldn't be too hard. However, if you want it quickly, I'll have to give the job to Mei." And as he spoke the devil's name, she rose up with a grin.
"I doubt I have a choice in the matter, if I want to get back in the action as soon as possible," The Saiyan joked a bit.
"Oh, you'll be back in no time, Son-kun!" Mei remarks. "Now, I should get your measurements..." She starts by taking off all but Goku's underwear and seeing how well developed her guinea pig is. "My God, you're like chiseled marble!"

On the other side of the school, during the walk back to Classroom 1-A, Momo sneezed for no reason at all. However, she felt something wrong as she instinctively shot a glare somewhere to her right.

The Support Student prodigy starts getting to work. The new basis of Goku's Mk. 3 Costume is utilizing what she had learned during her internship. To start, she had developed a new gi, this new costume utilizing a hybrid of the hardened elastic armor for the trim, while retaining a cotton-polymer complex as the main base for the Saiyan's main costume, with some elastic armor plating being weaved in where ever she can put them. It is stronger than the last set, but it's still fairly weak compared to the complete schematics of armor she had created. However, instead of the turtle kanji, there's a singular front patch that had Goku's Hero Name in kanji. In addition, there's a rather small, unassuming crown with some dark lenses going down with the flick of a switch to Son's right temple. For a fit finish, she finalized a couple sets of underwear, both of them immensely stretchy, but while one is a two-piece, the other is a unitard.

"Huh... First try...!" Mei was grinning as she looked at her creations.
"You'd be surprised with how long it took for her to perfect her materials fabrication, Son," Power Loaded remarks. "She's a pain, but damn if she isn't efficient..."
"Awesome!" Goku looked at the new costume, looking quite pleased at the new costume he's gotten. "Thanks again, guys!"
"I told you I'd make you something great, Son-kun!" Mei boastfully said.
"Alright, enough horsing around. Son, you better get back to All Might's class. Mei, you still got a lot of work to do," Power Loader released Goku.

For the rest of the day, the loop stabilized itself. However, Goku was picking up on Momo's internal distress. During her part of the race, she was distracted by something and had only hit fourth place, when as far as he knew, she'd try her hardest and usually score higher up on the board. He knows that something's eating her up, but he doesn't want to intrude on her feelings.

AN: Honestly, the biggest crime Horikoshi did with Rikido Sato was not making him a full-blown Kinnikuman character. Though yeah, the reason why Mineta was allowed to stay instead of being transferred to elsewhere? Mostly because Rikido just doesn't really add too much to the story. He fought in the USJ, but he's in a non-story critical part. He's not in the Sports Festival for that long. He trains alongside Momo in the Training Camp, but he doesn't exactly do much. And truthfully, his Quirk is not really all that impressive. The only real reason he's still in UA is more for a gag where, despite being in 1B, he's still basically the Supreme Chef of All Things Sweet in the Hero Course when they move into the dorms.
