Chapter 56: Unwelcome guest.

Note:I had to adjust some text in previous chapters to not contradict the Nezu flashback. Sorry, guys. Sometimes I lose track of some plot points when writing.

"Bring time to a halt."

Portal led Izuku into a dimly lit room. A lot of old looking light projectors were pointing at the center and a there were a dozen clocks on every wall. This seemed like an abandoned movie studio. Shigaraki and Kurogiri weren't anywhere to be seen, but they were undoubtedly close. Inko Midroiya was sitting in the center of the room. She was hooked to some kind of medical equipment and her skin was covered in bruises and cuts.

"Crap! Okay, I'll check her condition and turn her if things are too bad."

He pulled out a knife (thanks, Toga) to cut an artery and to use it as a projectile if needed. Time resumed just as he approached his parent. When he tried to touch her face, everything went dark.

Several months ago.

All For One finished reviewing all the quirk notes made by Izuku Midroriya. Most of them were useless to him; even the entry on OFA didn't have new information. By far, the most interesting pages were dedicated to people he knew nothing about. These people had the same quirks as the boy who wrote all of this.

"If I didn't know better, I would assume young Midoriya is suffering from dissociative identity disorder. It appears he has the same type of quirk as One For All, except with different vestiges and powers. What's more, these powers are unlike any quirk I've seen before. Super speed hardly matters when you can't move or your movements get erased. Perhaps I can steal this quirk outright or strike a deal with his "Imaginary Friends". My chances of getting OFA would be a lot better if I could get my hands on the time quirk first. I just need to wait for a perfect opportunity to strike and prepare in the process. Hopefully, Tomura's operation is Hosu brings enough manpower."

On the first day of the summer camp.

Inko Midoriya was rudely woken up, had a knife pointed to her throat and was forced to walk through a portal. There, she saw a terribly wounded man tied to medical machinery. Her mouth was closed by adhesive tape.

"Hello, Mrs Midoriya. Excuse the lack of manners on the part of my lackeys. I can't exactly afford to be picky right now. You've been brought here because I need to lure your son in. I believe his quirk will make a fine addition to my collection. The problem is that I can't just walk up to him. He'll probably blow me to pieces to use a temporal trick to decapitate me. No, I need a considerable level of preparedness. You will assist me."

The woman was pushed further towards the man. His deformed arm touched her face. She could feel something leaving her body. The man in front of her turned into a copy of her, albeit with visible wounds.

"In case my people fail to capture your child, this disguise will make him come to me. Do not worry; you will not be harmed. Not now anyway. You might still be useful as a bargaining chip against Izuku."

Mama Midoriya could only pray that her son's uncles help would him against the demon in front of her.

Kira was drawing Ragdoll without her gloves. Suddenly, the sound of an alarm covered the whole "building." Yoshikage almost fell from his chair, only to receive unexpected help.

"Killer Queen? Why are you here?" He instinctively hid his stand when someone opened the door.

"Kira-san!" Izuku entered killer's room. "Mom's kidnapper entered my head! You need to stop him, please!"

"Hm." He looked at the kid. "Ok, let's go."

DIO and Diavolo were playing chess with their minions as pieces. Both jumped at the sound of an alarm. They both knew the house through and through and there was never an alarm system in place. Their eyes were focused on the man at the main entrance. He looked young and healthy, just like he was before AM turned his face into a potato.

"Hello, gentlemen. I've been waiting for the moment to see you in person."

"You are the man who kidnapped Inko?" Vampire's voice had venom in it.

"Correct, but don't worry, she's unharmed. What the boy saw was a modified illusion, nothing more."

Izuku and Kira found the three of them.

"Make him leave, please!" Green head pleaded.

"I say we should listen to what he has to say." Diavolo argued.

"Agreed." Kira brought his favorite katsu sandwiches. "Where are our manners? Here, have some."

"With pleasure!" Truth be told, AFO never liked this food, but he wanted to make a good first impression on the vestiges.

"You… You can't be serious, guys!" Izuku's voice was trembling.

"Izuku." Kira sat on a knee to look at him closely. "Good back to your room and let the adults handle this." He winked at the boy.

"Ye-Yeah, ok." Midoriya gulped and followed the order.

AFO spent some time talking about his past, his quirk and his ambitions. Since the people he was talking about were evil as well, they would help him assimilate the quirk. At least, that was his plan.

"So, what do you say?"

DIO giggled, then laughed and finally burst into a maniacal laughter. Everyone tensed up at the sight.

"No." His laughter was stopped by a very dry answer.

"Why? I'm the kind of person you want to partner with!"

"When I was a kid, my father abused me and led my mother to an early grave. I hated him, even more than I hated the Joestars. Midoriya is like a son I've never had. If I betray him now, I'll be no better than that monster."

"As much as it pains to me say, I agree. I guess years of being prohibited from killing and getting my obsession fed by other means has changed my perspectives a bit. Besides," Kira pointed at the intruder. "I doubt you'll be spending enough time with ladies. You never did it while you were in prime, if I got your story correctly."

"Midoriya got me out of the death loop, I owe him that much. And what if you could use our stands without our consent somehow? Dealing with you is too risky. Better the devil you know."

"Really? Fine!" AFO stood up and prepared to take the entire quirk by force. "In that case, I'll…"

Click.

Boom.

"Killer Queen has touched that sandwich."

The alarm sound disappeared along with KQ. Stands could no longer be summoned.

"Why didn't you start with that? Or tells us about stands?" DIO asked Yoshikage.

"I wanted to see how you'd react. And it's not my fault you were too dumb to realize stands were available."
