Chapter 57: Ultimate Good vs Ultimate Evil

All the villains and Nomus in the forest were either captured or killed. Yaoyorozu has helped with creating various restraining equipment designed to for various quirks. Normally, there would be a lengthy interrogation session to find out where the leader is, but that wouldn't be necessary this time.

"Tell us where the extras are you holding Deku!" Bakugo was yelling at the mind controlled girl.

"There is a shady bar in Kamino ward. Does anyone have a map?" Himiko wondered.

"Here you go." Mandalay gave her a Pussycat themed phone.

"Hmm. Right here!"

"What? My Search is showing a different location in Kamino." Ragdoll showed her own phone.

"Well, I can't lie without being told to do so by Kacchan-kun."

"Don't call me that!"

"It appears our enemy has split themselves into at least two locations. I'll notify Nezu and Kamino police. We are going for the rescue." Aizawa began typing.

"I'm going too!" Explosive boy announced.

"No, Bakugo. Let the pro heroes handle this."

"Fuck you!" Katsuki was losing it. "Your pro hero ass almost died back at USJ. The only reason you're still alive is because Deku stepped in."

Shota has prepared Erasure.

"I was outnumbered and outmatched, but this won't be the case now. You are already on thin ice for disobeying Vlad King, Bakugo. Keep going and I'll have to expel you."

"Threatening with expulsions, that's all you fucking do, you Walking Corpse!"

Some students were conspiring to rescue Midoriya on their way back: Bakugo, Ashido, Tokoyami. However, their enthusiasm was quickly extinguished by class Presidents.

"What the hell are you thinking?" Momo wanted to break her face. "We should let pros handle the rescue."

"He's my fucking friend! Would you abandon Fist, Nerd? Huh?" Nakugo spat out.

Yaomomo looked and Kendou and spent some time thinking.

"I believe in rationality. While I'm confident in my abilities, I have more faith in people with decades of experience."

"I agree." Itsuka nodded. "There are times when one should believe in others."

"Fucking cowards."

"Bakugo!" Midnight heard them bickering. "We are ALL determined to rescue young Midoriya. You may not believe in me or in Shota, but you should believe that combined effort of all the heroes will be enough to finish the job!"

"So inspiring!" Mina clapped in response.

Katsuki could only grunt in response.

Midoriya the cheater has successfully been outsmarted by Sensei! Shigaraki took out a duplicate of Toga's machine to take some blood for the good doctor. Both his enemy and his mentor were apparently asleep during the quirk steal.

"That's weird; usually quirks are stolen a lot faster." He commented.

"Perhaps his quirk has some innate resistance to being stolen?" Kurogiri theorized.

"Well, it doesn't matter. I'll kill his mother in front of him once Sensei is done." Tomura carefully took out the syringe. "Let's go. I bet Dr Garaki will craft something awesome with this!"

All Might internally blamed himself for not passing OFA to his apprentice earlier, for not stopping young Midoriya in the forest, not preventing David from his folly and for many other things. He could only hope that everything will end up fine. A part of him was praying that the hidden enemy wasn't his lifetime nemesis.

Heroes have divided into two squads to attack both sites at once. The shady bar had Inko Midoriya tied up but almost unharmed. The basement contained a ton of Nomus, much to everyone's horror.

The abandoned warehouse is where Izuku was trapped for last several hours.

"AAAAA" AFO jumped back from the shock. The explosion may not have hurt his body, but it certainly damaged his brain. His hold on the illusion was lost.

Izuku was waking up from the forced sleep he was put in during the attempted steal.

"Shit! I need to weaken him!" The villain pressed an emergency button on his suit.

Studio lights turned out to be UV lamps in disguise. Several opened up revealing hidden machine guns.

"I won't kill you, child, just drive to the point where you'll want to die!" Quirk thief grinned at the incoming massacre.

The pain from UV and bullets has fully awaken the kid.

"The World!"

This was bad. His entire body was full of holes and burns he could barely walk. 6.5 seconds won't be enough to do anything. Izuku felt something warm near his chest. The mask! It got much warmer for reasons he couldn't comprehend right now.

"Crap. At this point I'm down for any amount of luck." He sighed and put them mask on, resisting the urge to scream from pain.

"Time, come forth!"

AFO noticed a strange mask on the boy's face, as well as increasingly intimidating laughter coming from his bleeding face and the strange glow from his body.

"Ha ha ha HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!"

"What's going on? Is your quirk evolving?" The villain was more than displeased. He prepared his combat quirks to potentially fight back.

"Dammit! Where is Kurogiri?" AFO tried his radio but signal wasn't coming through.

To make matters worse. The Symbol of Piece just made a hero shaped hole in a wall and was staring at the spectacle. The stone mask has shattered after fulfilling its purpose. Izuku was overflowing with energy.

"What the hell? Where am I?" An unfamiliar voice resonated in his ears.

"A new guest? Perhaps AFO was right about evolution."

"You three! Answer my questions!"

"Are you alright, Young Midoriya?"

"Yes. Have you found mom?"

"She's safe. Look, you need to leave. I'll finish that villain once and for all!"

The Symbol of Evil pressed another button.

"All Might, I've set every Nomu is the nearby area free. You can chase after me or…"

"Smash!" AFO has made a villain shaped hole in a different wall. All Might soon followed.

Green head looked at him jumping far away.

"Ok. I just need to figure out my new ability. May be I can fly?" His hands got turned into eagle wings.

"I get it! This form is very similar to Amajiki-senpai. I'll help AM and…" He noticed Nomus cashing civilians down below.

"Crap! Hold on, All Might!"

He jumped down to help heroes handle the monsters.

"I saw Hawks launching his feathers during on TV." The boy tried to replicate something similar.

"That civilian's head looks like a snake." The launched feathers turned into snakes and attacked the nearest Nomu.

"Hey, that's pretty good!"

Toga was still being transported to a prison until court can be in session. A parasite on her forehead began to glow.

"What's going on?" One of the guards asked.

"They told me to use a UV lamp in case of an emergency. Here!"

The light that is normally harmful to the flesh bud did nothing to prevent its evolution. The thing went deeper into her head, becoming completely invisible from the outside.

"Ha ha. Tickly!" The girl acted as if nothing serious has occurred.

All For One wasn't prepared for this. Sure, All Might has been running on fumes for the last few years, but at least some of his organs were unharmed. AFO couldn't live for very long without medical care, what much was obvious. His plan of stealing Midoriya's quirk failed. Villain wasn't even sure how long he could stall. He was already at his limit.

All Might wasn't sure how exactly Nana's killer managed to survive. Was he actually an immortal demon or something? Regardless, if there is any mistake Yagi Toshinori wanted to fix more than anything else, it's not killing this bastard for good. Number One Hero could hear evacuations at the distance. It should be safe (for others) to use his ultimate move.

The hero jumped upwards and began descending onto his enemy.

"UNITED STATES OF SMASH!"

"Strength enhancer, times three. Reinforced bones, stone skin and bulletproof skin. Super regeneration and shock absorption."

Ultimate Hero and Ultimate Villain collided in the last showdown of their lives. A giant crater has formed on the place of impact. The wind almost blew up news helicopters trying to capture the image. Finally, the dust settled and everyone could see the aftermath.

Both were critically injured and tired. AFO lost his limbs and bottom half of his torso and AM shrunk down for good. None of them would see the end of today. Still, the villain wanted to at least have the last laugh. He gathered the remaining strength but shout as loud as possible.

"It's over, All Might! People don't know me, but they sure know you. Once news spread that you've died to a villain of the week, society will crumble!" He proclaimed before succumbing to his wounds.

"No! *Cough* Even if I die, others will stand up to protect the innocent. Heroes like Endeavor and Hawks, students such as young *Cough* Midoriya and others. They will protect peace in the future!" The hero raised his fist as he gave his last speech. His mind hoped that everyone would forgive all the mistakes he did. His body fell on the ground near his deceased arch nemesis.

This is how it happened. This is how All Might died. To some, his end was bad omen, to others a call to action. Society will have to adapt to the reality without him as the Number One Hero. Others heroes need to scramble and find a new symbol that would unify everyone.

One of the core things I've established before I even began writing this is that I didn't want Izuku (or anyone else) to get OFA. I think it would devalue the inherent value of his own quirk. However, I still wanted to have All Might because I like the guy. So, I've written this in such a way that Hero is extra paranoid about his successor dying and only discovering that AFO is alive at the last moment. Him dying in a battle seems like a fitting and respectful way to get him and his quirk out of the story.

There won't be story heavy chapters for a while because know I have to imagine how things would go without AFO and AM being present. Expect light things like provisional licences, fluff and smut for now.

I wonder if I should add Kars to tags when he appears like 90K words in the story. I'll definitely add "Major Character Death" because AM is such an important character within the lore.

Spoilers: Ties that bind (https/s/14010260/1/Ties-that-Bind) is one of my favorite fics ever. There Dabi meets a fate worse than death (in his opinion). I want to try something similar with a different villain.
