63. Unlike You
ChaosDukemon has a choice on who to be.
Everyone accepts the dragon, or rather, anticipates it. The monster dragon is not only evil, but feral and uncontrollable for most. Julia can tame it but it took much of her blood and guts. So much of her soul.
ChaosDukemon himself prefers the knight. The fallen knight of royalty. It's smaller, easier to do with. Loyalty and kindness weren't far reaching for her. She was a sadist though in her way. Perfect for him.
They were wrong. They were perfect for different reasons.
But in the days to weeks of the Chrono core ripping into them, there had been moments where the dragon threatened to rip the cage bars off. Where it screamed and sobbed to go wild, to not be kind.
And Julia was there to hold it and herself.
He was hers because she was stronger than the dragon.
Someday he would evolve to it alone. And he would not be afraid.
