Chapter 23 Lust

Nero and Lady entered a large decorative room with a large metal throne at the back. Sitting in the throne was a person wearing black and gold armor, a black and yellow cape, and a horned helmet with a white mask covering the upper part of the beings face. The being was humanoid with red lips, but it was hard to tell if the being was male or female.
"Are you Lust?" Asked Nero.
"Guilty as charged. And you two a part of the ones who have been hunting my fellow sins. I can sense the blood of Sparda from you." Said Lust in a voice that was both masculine and feminine as they pointed a finger at Nero.
"Now that we got that out of the way, let's put an end to you." Said Lady before firing her pistol at Lust.
Lust vanished in a cloud of smoke before the bullet hit them. Nero and Lady looked around for Lust wondering where the sin went.
"Now why must we fight? I may be a sin, but I'm not a ruthless monster or barbarian like the other sins. I'm a responsible being who knows their role in the universe. I exist in all living things. Everyone has lust, whether that be the want of the flesh or something else. It all comes down to desire. Right now you desire to kill me and the others, but I can sense other desires as well. I can grant you those desires. Allow me to demonstrate." Said Lust before the room began to swirl and shift around Nero and Lady.
The next thing the hunters knew they were in the Devil May Cry shop, though it looked much cleaner then it normally did and some of the tables had been pushed together as if some guests were about to arrive to dinner. Kyrie walked wearing a simple white dress.
"Hey Nero, you're just in time for dinner." Said Kyrie as she walked up to Nero and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek.
Before Nero could responded two more people walked in on the scene and Lady let out a gasp. One of the newcomers was her deceased father Arkham who looked kind and sane and the other was her deceased mother Kalina Ann.
"Mom? Dad?" Said Lady looking stunned.
"There you are Mary, we were starting to get worried for you." Said Kalina Ann as she used, Lady's birth name and went over to hug her.
"No need to fret dear, our daughter is a strong and capable hunter." Said Arkham with a smile.
Lady looked at her parents and although she was happy to see them, especially her mother, she knew in her heart that this was all just a illusion created by Lust. Nero came up with the same conclusion. The two hunters glanced at each other and then they pulled out their guns and shot the illusions. The illusions of the people exploded into smoke and the Devil May Cry shop vanished and was replaced by Lust's throne room. Lust stood a few yards away from the duo holding a curved sword and looking a bit annoyed.
"Really? I give you what your hearts want and you just threw it away. Pathetic! People would kill to have their desires granted. I reunited one of you with your parents and made your father into the man you wanted! Talk about dumb and ungrateful." Said Lust.
"It may be true that I want my parents back, but I know what is real. The truth may be painful, but I rather live in this world then a fantasy created by you." Said Lady.
"Same goes for me. We're putting a stop to you here and now." Said Nero.
"Very well, your screams and deaths are what I desire now!" Said Lust before they charged forward.
Lady fired her pistols at Lust, but they deflected the bullets with ease as Nero quickly stepped forward and met Lust's blade with his own sword. Sparks flew as the swords clashed. Lust smirked as they pushed Nero back, before they lunged forward and rapidly swung their sword and Nero blocked them. Lady circled around and fired a few rounds at Lust striking them in the helmet and shoulder making them reel back a few steps. Nero lunged at Lust swinging his sword at them, but Lust teleported away before the blow landed and reappeared a few yards away.
"Not bad, unfortunately for you I'm not alone allow me to introduce you to some people I have swayed under my wing." Said Lust before snapping her fingers.
Two figures entered the room to stand by Lust's side. The first was a bald man wearing military clothes armed with a assault rifle and a grenade launcher. The other newcomer was a large bald man wearing a suit of blue and yellow armor with white wings and carrying a large mace that resembled a bell and a chain.
"Allow me to introduce Sergeant Dwight Boykin of the Untied States military and Usiel a member of the Order of the Sword Northern Division. Both of them had their own units of solider and tried to stop me. They valiant fought against the minions of the sins and they lost their forces. I decided to take pity on them and give them a fantasy worlds were their troops are alive and they are treated as heroes and in return they serve me." Said Lust.
Dwight and Usiel stepped forward and pointed their weapons at Nero and Lady.
"Looks like we're fighting these guys." Said Lady.
"They're under Lust's control. Try not too hurt them too bad." Said Nero.
"Got it." Said Lady.
Usiel charged forward swinging his mace at Nero, who dodged out of the way. Dwight fired his rifle at Lady forcing to run to the side to avoid getting hit. Lust just laughed as they charged at Nero and began to attack him as well.
Lady ran to a pillar and fired a few rounds from her pistol at Dwight to force him back. She reached the pillar and began to mentally go through a list of her equipment, trying to decide what would be the best way to takedown Dwight. Dwight changed to his grenade launcher and fired at the pillar, forcing Lady to jump out from behind it to avoid getting hit. Lady threw a flash grenade at Dwight and blinded him. As Dwight stumbled around and tried to regain his vision Lady rushed at him and struck him in the head with the butt of her shotgun knocking him to the ground dazed.
Nero meanwhile dodged blows from Usiel and deflected blows from Lust. The hunter decided he needed to change strategy and quickly fired a few rounds into Lust making them stumble back before he rushed at Usiel dodging a swing from his mace, before delivering a few blows with his sword and then delivered a uppercut to Usiel knocking him onto his back stunned.
Lust tried to rush at Nero, but Lady blasted them with a rocket from her rocket launcher that sent the sin flying and crashing to the ground. The sin tried to get up, but Nero sped forward and stabbed them in the chest!
"Aaaaaa!" Cried Lust as they collapsed to the ground.
Nero pulled his sword out of Lust and pulled out the amulet prepared to suck Lust up.
"Wait! Please spare me and I promise I won't harm humanity! I will give you the location of Envy in return!" Pleaded Lust.
"Yeah sorry no. We already caught Envy, she was a ugly bird demon." Said Nero before pointing the amulet at Lust.
"Nnnnoooooo!" Screamed Lust as they were sucked into the amulet.
"Another one down." Said Lady.
"And only two more to go. Let's wait for those two guys to wake up and then will move on." Said Nero pointing at Dwight and Usiel.
So the two sat down and took a little break from the hunt.
