Chapter 24 Wrath Warning

As Nero and Lady waited for Dwight and Usiel to wake up, Dante and Trish were making their way to the largest sports stadium in the city, where they believed Wrath was at. The two hunters encountered a few lower ranked demons on the way to the stadium, but they made short work of them and continued on. It was then that a Infested Chopper suddenly flew onto the scene and fired some missiles at one of the neighboring buildings causing it to fall towards Dante and Trish!
The two hunters took off running to avoid the falling building and derby as lesser demons popped up and tried to slow them down, only to get killed by Dante and Trish or crushed to death by derby. The Infested Chopper flew by overhead blasting more buildings that fell at the fleeing hunters. Dante and Trish soon grew tired and annoyed by the chase and quickly came up with a way to get rid of the Infested Chopper. Lady blasted the demon possessed machine with some lightning causing it to swing around crazily, while Dante leaped onto the roof of a bus and then off the roof towards the Infested Chopper cutting the tail right off the machine came it spin wildly before crashing into the ground and exploding to bits!
"Man I hate those things." Said Dante as he landed back on the ground.
With that out of the way Dante and Trish continued on towards the stadium.
Back at the mall Nero and Lady were joined by Elise and Walsh as Dwight and Usiel woke up. The two humans looked at Nero and Lady with a mix of guilt and shame.
"We apologize for working with Lust." Said Dwight.
"Lust sunk their claws into us and we became slaves to the illusions they offered us." Said Usiel.
"Tell us what went down." Said Nero.
"When the Sins and their demon followers first began to appear in the city, my squad was one of the the first responders to combat them." Said Dwight.
"As were my troops as well." Said Usiel.
"In the beginning we did pretty well for ourselves. Eventually my squad met up with Usiel and his forces and we began to make good headway into the city." Said Dwight.
"Many demons fell by our combined might. We thought we could take on the Sins, since they weren't that strong at that point, but then we met one of them and everything changed." Said Usiel.
"Who was it?" Asked Lady.
"Wrath." Said Usiel.
"He was nothing like anything we've even seen. He...was an absolute monster that took everything we had and still kept coming. Nothing slowed Wrath down. No bullets, missiles, explosives, or mystical weapons we had barely phased him." Said Dwight.
"He slaughtered our troops as if they were nothing more then insects!" Said Usiel.
"And he was laughing and enjoying!" Shuddered Dwight.
"Eventually all our troops were killed and we were forced to flee. We didn't get too far and Lust caught us and made us their servants with their illusions." Said Usiel.
"Looks like we have our work cutout for us. Don't you guys worry about a thing, will deal with Wrath." Said Nero.
"You just stay here and look after each other." Said Lady.
With that said the two hunters left the mall and began to make their way to the stadium as well.
