'Okay don't freak out. He's a man floating in the air. He throws around metal which means he could be the same guy that burning man was talking about.'
"You must be Magento. You're burning man here said your name. But we didn't know he was a mutant. Let's talk about this, your man set fire to the museum first then I went in to see if anyone needed saving." Spider-Man shouted as he swung onto a nearby lamppost.
"You lie boy. I know how you all think, I have seen it for many years." Magento yelled.
'Great another wacko, might as well get this done.' Spider-Man thought to himself.
Spider-Man jumped and prepared to swing a fist into Magento when the old mutant raised his hand into the air. Closing his hand Spider-Man's web shooter on his right arm started to get crushed and became useless. Still in the motion of the punch Spider-Man landed a hit on Magento. Who was not expecting the strength behind the young man. Sent flying from the punch Magneto landed on the ground and with a look gave the red and blue hero a little chuckle.
"Impressive boy, there are only a few who have landed any hits on me in recent years. That list is very small, so be proud." Magento muttered as he stood.
"Well, it's always been on the top of my superhero bucket list to always be on the villain's list." Spider-Man grinned under his mask.
"Foolish boy you have power. Why not use it and join me? We will make the fools pay for what they did to the mutants!" Magento yelled out.
"Never."
The two got ready to trade attacks when a loud engine could be heard above them. Spider-Man looked up to see no plane or jet. The sound was coming from nowhere, but he could hear it and he knew it wasn't his hearing acting up.
"Great now they're here." Magento sighed.
"What, who are you talking about? Explain yourself!" Spider-Man shouted.
As the hero looked up he saw a black jet start to appear over them. Sleek and large the jet floated over the two as the back started dropping down with the ramp exposed. Spider-Man looked closer at the jet to see several figures in yellow and black leap out of the jet. They all landed in front of Spider-Man and faced Magento with a look of hatred on their faces. One who looked to be the leader landed in front of everyone else. He stepped forward with a strange visor covering his eyes and a frown. The other two were women, one with a simple costume and red hair and the other a dark-skinned woman with white hair and a small cape behind her.
"That's enough Magento leave now or else! We don't want to fight here and hurt innocent people." The guy said in a tone that left no room for arguments.
"I see the animal stays home, it seems he is getting smarter each time. Mr. Summers, I am here for my idiot member here." Magento pointed at the young man who was on the ground that Spider-man knocked out inside before.
The woman with red hair stepped forward to speak. She gave a small nod to the guy who spoke before. The three of them all stepped around to form an arc in front of Spider-Man and surround the older man.
"I'm sorry to say Magento but this course of actions you took has made it more difficult for mutants to live. We want to live in peace and not be feared by the people of the world. Isn't that what you fought for originally?" The redhead asked as she walked to be in front of Magento.
"Sorry, my child but I fight for the betterment of Mutant kind and won't be stopped by some children." Magento raised his hand slowly and the group of costume-clad heroes all tensed up.
Jean went to raise her mental strength to attempt to take control of something that wasn't metal to fight the older mutant. She grabbed a tree trunk and was about to hit Magento with it when she saw out of the corner of her eye. The heroin red and blue raced past her and leaped at Magento, throwing a punch at him to break his focus for a moment.
Having to step back to avoid the spider theme hero's punch. Magneto moved to his left after and threw a random piece of metal he could grab at the hero. Spider-Man sees from behind the older man that a pay phone stand came flying at him. Jumping in the air Spider-Man sails over the payphone. Quickly shooting two webs at the object he swings with his upper body and slams the payphone back at Magneto. Having no room to dodge, Magneto not expecting this move. Takes the hit with the pay phone and flies into the building behind him.
"Stay down, you will be arrested and given a trial. I don't want you to get hurt more than you have to." Spider-Man said as he walked over to the mutant's body.
"Spider-Man! You overstepped this time. We could have handled that freak." Ross came storming in front of Spider-Man.
Spider-Man ignored him and turned to the other three heroes and looked at them up and down. They all looked like normal humans, maybe not the guy with the visor but what he was gonna say, he was wearing spandex.
"Thank you for saving me back there," Spider-Man said as he pushed out his hand for a handshake.
"No problem granted we didn't do too much, all we did was stop him for a few seconds." The guy with the visor smiled.
"That's what I needed the most, I haven't fought someone like him in a long time. What was that magic, some sort of hidden robots." Spider-Man asked as he saw Ross's men start to restrain Magneto.
"Hold that thought, let me go help them secure him." Visor guy said as he started to make his way to the group of men. He pulled out some strange-looking device that looked to be some sort of a special cuff.
"Sorry about him, normally he would chat longer but Magneto is really powerful when left unchecked. I wish we could have met on more normal terms Spider-Man." the redhead quickly said as she moved in front of Spider-man.
"Don't sweat it, I understand powerful people. I did fight that overgrown hotdog monster some kid made for his science project last month. Trust me compared to that, this magneto guy had nothing on it." Spider-Man joked and was starting to get ready to leave. Only a short time left before Ross realizes he is still there and tries to take him in.
"Wait, Spider-Man. Before you go and Ross's men try to take you. Take this and know you always have some people to help you." She threw out a paper business card to the hero. He quickly grabbed it and looked to see an address and a name on it.
Charles Xiaver
(914)-555-1407.
1407 Graymalkin Lane, Salem Center
"Umm thanks I'll be sure to visit when I can. Take care, you guys." Spider-Man swung away trying to get away from Ross as quickly as he could.

"I can see why Kitty finds him cool. He's really kind." The redhead muttered. As she watched the hero disappear from sight.
"Let's go Jean, we have to hurry back now!" The Visor guy shouted from the jet that appeared from before.
Jean ran to meet her teammate and got onboard the jet. The Jet had several seats that were added to house a crew for transporting members of the team. Jean smiled to herself thinking back to all the time the team's tech genius spent modifying one of the most state-of-the-art jets in US history. The ramp door closed and the man with the Visor walked slowly to the redhead.
"What makes you smile so much?" He asked. He was standing with such concern for her.
"Oh nothing, just thinking about how much I can brag to Kitty that we got to meet her crush before she did." Jean laughed out loud.
The jet flew off and started to disappear from view. The sky gives it the perfect concealment from the busy city onlookers.

Back in the city….
Spider-Man swung all the way to the run-down apartment he stayed in. Clinging to the building's side and crawling up the side, he made his way to his window. Clinging to the window he slowly opened it. He allowed himself to slink his body through it and into the small apartment.
He let out a deep breath as he walked over to his bed and collapsed on top of it. Letting his mind wander to the people he met today.
'That mutant Magneto and the fire guy were tough. But there were other people there. They must have had powers if Magneto stopped for a second. Face it Peter the only reason you're thinking about them is because of what that redhead said.' Peter thought to himself.
Peter took his Spider-Man mask off and let it fall to the side of the bed. His Peter side he called it, was now out on display. Peter looked at his phone and saw a text from his boss to come in early tomorrow. He put a few alarms on in case he slept through the first one and pulled the covers on him. The dark room and the sound from outside slowly put him to sleep and before long Peter fell asleep.
"You know I was the only one who believed you?"
"It's not your fault…it's not your fault"
"With great power…responsibility."
"Can the Spider-Man come out to play?"
Peter sprung out of his bed and launched himself to the ceiling. His hands instinctively cling to the ceiling. Sighing to himself Peter fell down from the ceiling and landed on his bed. He started to get ready for work when something fell in front of him. That business card from yesterday fell out of his Spider-Man suit and quickly he grabbed it. Peter stared at it for a while before placing it in his pocket and rushing out the door.
His apartment wasn't the worst spot but it wasn't the greatest either. He was really happy when he had saved enough to get out of that crappy place after the Statue of Liberty battle. This was located close to his job as a lab assistant for Horizon labs and their top dogs. Peter looked at his watch and saw he had only 20 minutes to make it to work.
A short while later Peter came running into work already a minute late. He entered his code into the pad and made his way inside.
"Hello Peter, glad to see you finally decided to join us." A cold voice said. Peter turned and saw a man who looked like a vulture. With a long nose and eyes that looked starved. His hair long gone its prime day was just a simple combover and he wore a simple white lab coat.
"Oh give him a break Dr. Letas, he was one minute behind and it's his first time being late." A voice with a lot more joy in it called. This new person stood tall with a look of fun in his step. He had brown hair and eyes that looked hungry with a need for science. Glasses sat in his coat pocket and he wore a simple lab coat.
"Dr. McCoy while I understand that he could have caused an accident and was also told to be here early and he just made it in." Dr. Letas stated.
"I'm sorry sir, I tried to take a shortcut today and unfortunately there was a mugger and he stopped me." Peter lied.
"Oh, are you okay Peter? That's a scary situation to be in." Dr. McCoy asked, his voice heavy with concern.
"Yes I'm fine thankfully Spider-Man was there to save me," Peter said quickly. He hated lying to the man.
"Well that's good, now we should get started on work. You know I think I made a breakthrough with the formula last night. If we get this right this could help people with mutations worldwide!" said with a wave of his hands.
"Dr. McCoy, can I ask you something?" Peter asked as they were walking.
"You just did Peter." Dr. McCoy smirked as they came upon his lab and led the two of them in.
"Would it be possible for me to take off tomorrow for a doctor's appointment?" Percy asked and awaited him to be told no.
"Of course, it's no issue we take health seriously here. After all, it is what we have you helping here." Dr. McCoy said as he sat down.
"Really thank you doctor this helps me a ton." Peter smiled and felt ten times better than he has in the last few weeks.
"Of course now why don't you head down and get us both some drinks so we can get started." Dr. McCoy said with a smile on his face as well.
Peter turned and walked out of the office and started to head downstairs. As he did this he pulled his phone out and the business card from before. He dialed the number and waited a few moments until he heard someone pick up.
"Hello?"
"This is Spider-Man and I need your help."

Also just a quick note I realized I wrote 2023 in chapter 1 it was supposed to be 2025 since No Way Home happens in 2024. My bad I didn't realize I made that mistake, so when you're reading this that mistake is being fixed. But the X-Men I am using for this crossover is inspired by X-Men evolution. They will be aged up but they are a mixture of all X-Men knowledge I know
