Bad News
Ace sighed contentedly as his hand trailed over the bare skin of Eila's back. She shivered slightly, pressing closer to him and humming pleasantly. Ace smiled as he felt her press her hips against his thigh, instantly able to tell she'd woken up excited. He dipped his head, placing light, teasing kisses to her neck. She whimpered at the contact, rocking her hips slightly as his kisses slowly grew more purposeful. Finally, she pushed herself up, lifting her hips enough to reach down and guide him into her, then moaned as she sank down onto him.
"I love waking up with you," Eila smiled softly, rocking her hips along his length slowly, more to enjoy the feeling of him filling her than with any actual effort.
"So do I," Ace smiled. "I just wish we didn't have to keep it a secret from the Jedi."
Eila hummed in agreement, her movements slowly growing more pronounced. "Maybe after this war is over, we won't have to."
"The Jedi's rules aren't going to change," Ace said, rocking her hips up into her, both keeping their movements slow, taking their time.
"No, but you mean more to me than being a Jedi," Eila said.
Ace's eyes widened. "You mean..."
Eila nodded, smiling. "I love you, Ace. I'm going to leave the order. I refuse to hide my feelings for you."
Ace smiled. "I love you, too, Eila." He reached up to kiss her. "So, what are we going to do with our newfound freedom?"
Eila hummed in thought as she began to speed up slowly. "We could go to Zeltros."
Ace chuckled, then groaned as she sped up sharply. "Getting bored of me already? It's only been a couple weeks."
Eila laughed, though it broke off into a whimpering moan at the end. "Oh, yes. Having eight or more orgasms a night, and sometimes several times a day, is just sooo boring!"
Ace rolled his eyes, rolling them over and beginning to thrust into her in earnest. "And what would...we do...on Zeltros?"
Eila moaned, bucking back up against him. "Probably...the same as...here." She moaned again. "But maybe...if you want...we could get...another girl...to lend a hand or two."
Ace groaned, kissing Eila hungrily.
Eila grinned, feeling him beginning to tense, his erection swelling inside of her. She turned her head, letting him suck harshly at her neck so that she could speak. "Would you...like that? Seeing me...making out with a girl? A...sexy Zeltron chick...maybe? Watching me...eat her pussy...while you...fuck me?"
Ace groaned, coming undone and flooding her, and Eila moaned loudly, holding him tight against her as he filled her, waiting for Ace to settle.
"You came first," Eila grinned. "I win this round."
Ace let out a low chuckle. "I love you, Eila."
"I love you, too," Eila smiled, then gasped in surprise as Ace began to pound her with his still-erect member.
He was being much more forceful this time, knowing that she enjoyed him taking control. "We both know you'd enjoy that just as much as me."
Eila moaned in acknowledgement, bucking up against him.
Ace frowned as Rex appeared over the holoprojector. "Captain Rex?"
"Ace," Rex nodded. "It's been a long time."
"Yeah, it has," Ace nodded. "What's up?"
"Fives...Fives is dead," Rex said gravely. "There was an...incident. A clone trooper named Tup shot and killed his Jedi General. He became violent toward Jedi. Fives investigated and found some sort of biochip that had malfunctioned in Tup, then found one in himself and removed it. The Kaminoans said the chip was to curb aggression in the clones, but..." He shook his head. "Fives was transported to Coruscant, but attacked Chancellor Palpatine. General Skywalker and I found him, but he trapped us in a Ray Shield. He was incoherent, he kept rambling about a plot and about organic chips in our brains. We didn't even know that there were actually chips in us until after. And then the Coruscant guard arrived and shot him."
Ace was silent for a long time. "These chips are real?"
"Yes," Rex nodded. "But they're organic, created with our DNA signature. They're nearly impossible to find without knowing where to look."
Ace sighed, nodding. "Is there any way to confirm what these chips do?"
Rex shook his head. "I don't know if I believe him. I don't know what to believe anymore."
Ace nodded. "I'll...take precautions. Just in case."
Rex nodded silently. "Be careful."
Ace nodded and disconnected, staring at the floor in silence for a long while. Finally, he walked back to the room he was sharing with Eila, sitting on the bed as he tried to process what Rex had told him. He didn't know what to make of it. Finally, he stood, heading to the medical bay and lay on an examination table.
"How can I help you?" the medical droid asked.
"I need you to scan my brain," Ace said. "I was told there's an organic inhibitor chip in my brain. I want you to locate it."
The medical droid began a scan of his brain, but even after twenty minutes of repeated scans, including near-excessively in-depth scans of individual sections of his brain, there was no way to tell the biochip from the rest of his brain. For all intents and purposes, it was a part of his brain, and therefore was completely indistinguishable from the rest of his brain. Finally, he gave up, thanking the medical droid for trying before heading back to Eila's room. She was already there, having just stepped out of her room's private shower. She looked over at him, seeing his troubled expression, and immediately dropped her towel, walking over and cupping his face.
"Talk to me," Eila said instantly.
"Rex called," Ace said. "Fives is dead."
"Oh, Ace," Eila breathed, remembering that Ace had gone through ARC Trooper training with Fives. "I'm so sorry!"
"That's not all," Ace said. "Fives was claiming there was a conspiracy. Apparently we clones all have an organic chip in our brain. The Kaminoans claim it curbs excessive aggression, but Fives was claiming it was to force us to follow any order programmed into it, more specifically to murder the Jedi. There was an incident where a clone whose chip malfunctioned murdered the Jedi he was fighting alongside. I...don't know what to think."
"Let's go find it," Eila decided.
"I just came back from the medical bay," Ace said. "I've been having the medical droid scan my brain for hours, but there's no way to distinguish between the chip and my brain. It's formed from my own DNA."
Eila's face twisted in worry. "What do we do?"
"For now...there's nothing we can do," Ace said. "But I'm going to be setting up some insurance policies. I refuse to hurt you."
Eila nodded, smiling. "I know you won't. I trust you."
Ace smiled, kissing him. "For right now, let's just rest. I don't want to think about this right now."
Eila nodded, kissing him again before he shed his clothes and they climbed into bed. Unlike every night since they'd fought Durge, there was no sex. They simply held each other as they slept.
Ace leapt from the platform to the wall hovering ahead of him, running along it for a dozen feet before dropping to the next section of the path, sprinting to the end of it before leaping to the wall, catching the exposed ledge. He dropped his weight, then launched himself upward twelve feet, catching the next ledge, then leapt away from the ledge and landed in a roll on the next trail. After several seconds of running along the path, jumping from one block to the next, he landed at the door to the observation platform where Eila was waiting.
Eila smiled widely, nodding. "You beat your record by thirty seconds."
Ace smiled. "It felt almost easy that time."
"Good," Eila nodded, smiling. "Your connection to the Force is getting stronger all the time."
Ace nodded, smiling, just as one of the Clone Commanders walked into the room.
"General, We've received word from the Jedi Council," the Commander reported. "We've been cleared for shore leave. Our entire force."
"Finally," Ace groaned. "We still going?"
"Of course we are," Eila grinned. "Commander, spread the good news. Everyone is to take one week, so they have to go somewhere they can get back on time."
The commander saluted, leaving the room just as Ace's eyes caught a split-second flicker in Jack's cloaking technology. His smile slipped for a second. He'd had Jack following him, invisible, ever since Rex's call several months ago. Jack's standing orders were to stun him if he tried to hurt Eila. Eila didn't know that he had given Jack the order, but he'd forbade Jack from stopping following the order under any circumstance, even Eila ordering him to stand down. Once Ace had been stunned, Jack was to keep him unconscious. Beyond that, his orders were to keep Eila safe and help her with whatever she needed.
"Alright, the cruiser's heading for Zeltros," Eila grinned. "Should only take us about a day to get there."
Ace nodded, his smile returning. "I can't wait."
Eila laughed, looping her arms around his neck. "Oh? Excited to watch me making out with another girl?"
"Oh, very," Ace smiled, kissing her. "That'll be the highlight of the whole trip."
Eila laughed. "Sure it will."
Ace smiled, kissing Eila again before she pulled back, turning to the door. Ace smiled, following after her.
