Itan private high school.
A prestigious preparatory school located in provincial. Here, people from all around the country could be seen.
New Student talking amongst themselves about the new school while upper class students talking amongst themselves about the new school year.
The school was filled with liveliness as the cherry blossoms followed through with the winds.
Though, all conversation came to a halt and everyone moved away from the entrance. Everyone was whispering to each other about the new arrival.
"how is he here?!"
"did he break in!"
"shush, be quiet..."
"That him…"
"The red devil…"
"They say he once killed a man with nothing more than a rock..."
"I heard he once defeated an entire gang by himself…"
"he once beat up a teacher and entire class just because they looked at him wrong..."
More and more rumors about the 'red devil' were heard from the students until a glaring blue eye passed through them.
Everyone soon quieted down, not wanting to become the sole focus of those dangerous eyes.
These sharp blue-eyes belong to a 6'2 tall man, far beyond the average Japanese person. He had spiky gravity-defying golden hair that reach the. Ack of his neck.
The most incredible thing about his face was the three-whisker mark on each of his cheeks, making him even more beastly.
He was wearing an orange shirt underneath his button-down white shirt, finishing it off with black jeans and sneakers.
He looked at the student hiding away with him with a blank expression before he walked towards the school.
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief at his depart figure until someone asked an important question on his mind.
"Why is he called the red devil anyways?" the student asked his friend since he couldn't find any red on that guy anywhere.
His two friends looked amongst each other before they answered.
"The reason he is called the red devil is because the 'Shibuya incident'…" one of the friends answered with a slight shiver down his spine.
"They say he bathed in the blood of the people he beat up that day…" his other friend finished since the first one was too scared to say anything.
"Serious?!" The student was shocked at what his friend said until he turned his attention to the school.
"If that true, how did he even get into this school?" The man was fairly sure that no school would allow someone like that into their school if the rumor about him were true.
His friend had no answers to his question and just started to make assumptions about how the 'red devil' made it into the school.
'Man, I can't believe this school let me in after what happened in Shibuya.' Naruto thought to himself as he grabbed his school shoes.
It had been 16 years since Naruto had come into this world from his old one.
things had been pretty peaceful and nice, well compared to his old life that is. He was still getting into trouble with a lot of people.
May people were wary of him since he had golden hair, something very much associated with delinquency and law-breaking.
Many of peers feared him and tried to stay away from him, it also didn't help that he gets into a lot of fights with people.
It wasn't his fault since most of the people he beat up were delinquents or gang members that bully other people.
He didn't feel sorry for beating them, though he did feel sorry about being so much trouble to his parents.
He is trying to be better but his emotions get the better of him, he would not allow people to be bullied when he could do something about it.
His parents were very understanding about his fights but that didn't make him feel less guilty about how many times he had brought them to the police because of his fights.
Naruto sighed as he placed his sneaker into the locker, he soon put on his school shoe before he heard footsteps coming his way.
He looked up and saw an extremely beautiful young lady opening a locker. She had dark purple hair that flowed down to her buttocks.
She had flawless white skin and long eyelashes; her plump red lips made her extremely cute from Naruto view.
She wore the school uniform that perfectly fit her slender frame.
'It seems she in the same class as me…' Naruto looked towards her locker; this girl must be classmate of his.
Naruto walked up towards the girl with the intent of trying to get to know her.
His school life up till now was a lonely one, a lot of students were too scared to even talk to him because of his reputation.
His mom had always warned him about having no social life and wanted him in to make more friends in this school.
He couldn't really say no to her, and he did also want some friend of his own as well. So, he wouldn't mind trying to be more positive and active with his classmates.
"Hello there, I'm Naruto kimura. Nice to meet you." Naruto held out his hand to the girl, wanting to shake her hand for a greeting.
Though, the girl seemed to have stayed still and did not even try to move her hand towards his.
She opened her mouth to say something but that came out was weird noise that raised some confusion for Naruto since he could not understand what was going on.
After a while, the girl just ran away from him. Leaving Naruto in a state of bewilderment, unsure of what just happened there.
'Am I that scary looking?" Naruto though while holding onto his face, he had always heard comments about his scary face before but never had something like this happen before.
Naruto just sighed at his failed attempt at getting to know his classmate and just picked up his stuff, he could try again another time.
Naruto walked through the school and soon found his classroom. He opened the door and walked into the classroom.
His arrival had caused everyone to quiet and stood still in the position, all scared to be in the presence of the 'red devil' but one person.
"Hey Naruto, how have you been?" Naruto turned his head to look at the greeting voice. it was none other than his childhood friend, najimi osana.
She was a petite girl with a weird lavender hairdo that spiked at the end.
She was the only friend Naruto had in elementary school. He had saved her from some bullies, and they became friends ever since.
It was a really saddening moment when she had to transfer school, and he saw her less and less as time went on.
He only occasionally talks to her on the phone and hangs out with her a little bit.
"Najimi, you're looking as cheerful as ever." Naruto responded back to her with a smile, happy to have a familiar face around the class.
"Why wouldn't I be happy to see one of my childhood best friends." Najimi said as she moved around Naruto, Scan to see how much he has grown over the years.
"I'm pretty sure everyone at this school is your childhood friend." Naruto commented with a roll of his eyes and a smirk.
Najimi parents were terribly busy people and constantly moved a lot around the country, this was why najimi always transfers to a different school every year.
She constantly has to say goodbye to old friends, but her exceptional communication skills had allowed her to make friends with almost anybody.
"Yeah, but you hold a special place in my heart." Najimi placed both her hands on her chest while she said this.
Naruto just rolled his eyes at the girl commented before he looked at her. "So, how have you been?"
"I've been doing great so far; I won a super cool toy in my cereal today and…" najimi soon began to ramble on about her day and how amazing it was.
Naruto gave out comments then and there, but most of the time he was giving his full attention towards najimi story.
Everyone else in the room was just dumbfounded at the duo, no one could believe that everyone's childhood friend was talking to the red devil.
'What the hell?!' These were the words that rang though everyone's minds as they stared at the strange duo talking together.
The teacher finally had enough of their ramble since class was about to start soon, so she coughed into her hand to get their attention.
"Mr. Kimura and…Najimi, can both of you take a seat?" The teacher spoke politely to Naruto since she did not want to get on the bad side of the red devil just at the beginning of the school year.
"Alright." Najimi begrudgingly said before she sat down on her seat while Naruto just stood there.
He was looking around to see if any seats were available, but every seat was taken. Except the one next to the girl he met before in the shoe locker.
Naruto just shrugged and walked over to sit down next to her, this was the only seat available and he was not going to take someone else.
However, Naruto soon raised his eyebrow at the gasp and shocked expression on everyone's face as he sat down. It was as if he had done some unimaginable thing in the classroom.
He looked towards najimi for answers, but she looked just as shocked as everyone else in the room.
'The hell is with everybody?' Naruto looked around and saw that many people were looking between him and the girl.
Was the silent girl someone important or something cause everyone seemed to have some awe and reverence for her.
The teacher once again coughed into her fist before she pointed at the first person in the front row.
"Self-introduction time." The teacher stated as the student stood up to introduce herself to everyone.
"M-M-M-My name is agariiii, ummmm…" the green hair girl nervously introduced herself or everyone as she rubbed her index finger together.
"Agari, your being too loud!" A random girl in the back backseat light slapped the green-eyed girl on the back.
"Next!" The teacher said as she moved away from agari and onto the beautiful girl next to Naruto.
The girl just stayed there in her seat, not talking to anyone and staring straight at the board.
'Is she nervous?' Naruto thought as he stared at the girl, seeing a slight shake in her body as time went on.
After a full three minutes, she got up from her seat and just walked towards the blackboard. She wrote something on the blackboard faster than anyone could see and just walked back.
The black board now said 'Komi shouko' on it, indicating that it must be her name. Everyone just silently complimented the girl with blushes.
'What the fuck?' Naruto stared puzzlingly at the girl before he stared at the bizarre classroom.
"N-Next." The teacher as she fanned her blush down with her hand.
"Hi, I'm Naruto kimura." Naruto stood up from his seat and began to introduce himself.
"That it." Naruto stated as he sat back down onto his seat, not wanting to say anything more.
The class did have a lot of reactions to his introduction and just stared away from him.
"Bring the thing I listed to school tomorrow, got it. Kids?" The teacher outlined the important things needed for tomorrow, but the class was not listening.
They were all too busy admiring the girl that was Komi shouko.
'Seriously, what is up with this class? I know she cute and all, but this is too much.' Naruto comments as he looked at his class's obsessive behavior.
They all acted like Komi was kind of real-life celebrity and gushed at her every move.
An eraser soon fell down from Komi desk and fell next to Naruto desk, the whiskered man looked down and picked up the object and was about to give it back to Komi until his sense flared.
He turned around and caught a compress pencil throw at him at high speed, he looked over saw that it was a ninja dressed student that threw it.
Naruto placed the eraser down on Komi desk and stood up from his spot, he walked over the ninja wannabe and stared him down.
"Mind explain this?" Naruto asked in a deadly tone as he looked at the nervous boy.
Everyone else in the classroom was also scared alongside the ninja student and huddled up in groups, trying to standing as far away from Naruto as possible.
Shinobino mono was now sweating bullets as the red devil stood Infront of him.
He didn't mean to attack him; he was just jealous that he was able to touch the beautiful goddess Komi stuff.
His emotions got the better of him and now he has to pay for it. There was no way he could get out of this in one piece.
Mono did the only that he could do and did an extremely low bow towards the red devil.
"I'm so sorry! I swear I will never do that again! Please spare me!" Monk begged for his life and even used fake tears to help his case.
Naruto just stared at him before he knelt down toward with a serious expression.
"Don't do that again, got it." Naruto said as he crushed the compress pencil in his palm.
"Yes sir!" Mono nodded at an extremely fast pace, not wanting to anger the devil even more.
Naruto just stared at him with disgust before he walked back to his table and just sat there.
The class returned back to it peace, though everyone was more scared of Naruto than ever before and kept a longer distance from him.
'Damnit, I went too far.' Naruto mentally cursed himself for his actions.
He might have been too impatient with his actions but who wouldn't be? That ninja wannabe threw a sharp pencil at him with high Speed.
Had that pencil hit anyone else other than him, it might have caused severe damage to their hands or even price through it.
Naruto rubbed his forehead before he laid his head down on the table, already feeling mentally exhausted by the first day of school.
The class soon ended as the teacher left the room, The first thing everyone did was race over to Komi and huddle around her.
Naruto just shook his head at the absurd behavior his class was exuberating and just laid his head.
He wanted to take a nap and try to get some sense of normalcy from this crazy school.
"Ah." A soft echoed across the empty classroom, waking Naruto up from his sleep.
Naruto stared at the girl as she talked to the stuffed cat in her hands.
"Why did I…" Naruto blink puzzled at the soft voice coming out of Komi mouth.
"Come forward without…saying anything…" Komi said before she hugged the stuff cat into her arms.
Naruto eyes widen as he looked at the trembling girl, soon all question were answered about the girl.
Naruto stood up from his desk and looked at the girl with his pricing blue eyes.
His actions had caused the girl to be shaken from her hug and stared nervously at the blonde hair man.
"Komi…can you not talk to people?" Naruto asked with the utmost seriousness in his voice, feeling like this was the reason for all of Komi strange behavior.
The girl just stood frozen in her tracks before she opened her mouth. "Ha…"
"Hahahahahahahaha…" a creepy chant escaped her mouth as she turned her head towards Naruto with an expressionless face.
"So, you're really bad at talking to people." Naruto tilted his head into his fist as he looked at the girl, strangely unaffected by her weird chuckle.
He seen and fought thing way weirder and crazier than Komi weird laughter anyways.
Komi stood there for a moment before she nodded to Naruto statement as she nervously held onto her shirt.
"…Do you want a notebook to write down your thoughts?" Naruto asked since this was probably the best way to communicate with Komi.
Talking to her was not even an option as of right now since she looked like she was about to pass out just by saying a few words to him.
Komi perked up and nodded, Naruto could've sworn that he saw cat ears popped out of Komi head as she nodded but that could be his imagination.
Naruto took out a notebook and a pencil, he handed them over to Komi.
Komi took the note and began to write on it, she soon lifted up the notebook and showed it to Naruto.
"How did you know I was bad at talking to people." Komi stared at him curiously.
"It was mostly through guessing." Naruto told the truth to her; he had first believed she was mute or something like that.
"So, does any beside me know your secret." Naruto asked worriedly, wanting to gauge just how bad Komi situation was.
"None." Shouko replied back to Naruto.
"Uh…" Naruto rubbed the back of his head; it seems her situation was far worse than he had imagined.
"…it must have been lonely huh." Naruto spoke with some nostalgic in his eye, having also experienced the same thing as Komi when he was young.
"Yes, it has." Shouko wrote with her head down.
"I always get nervous when I'm in front of people and my face tense up because I get so scared." Her writing stopped a little bit as she began to tell her story.
"No one ever became my friend because they were so afraid of me. In middle school, I always ate my lunch alone. I wanted to be like other so much and eat with friend." Komi hand began to shake.
"I always tried to talk to them, but my voice never came. No matter what I did, I was always alone. I hate it so much." She slumps down with a hic, looking like she was crying.
Naruto stood up and looked at the girl. "What kind of drink do you want, Komi?"
The girl looked up at man with a tilted head, showing that she had the hiccups instead of crying.
"I'm going to go buy some drinks, you want some?" Naruto was kind of thirsty after his name and wanted something to drink.
"Can you get me green tea?" Shouko asked while hiding herself behind the notebook, green was one of her favorite drinks to have in her free time.
Naruto gave her a thumbs-up and walked out of the classroom, He went to one of the vending machines near the school.
Naruto came back to the classroom with 5 sodas and one green tea for Komi.
"That was fast!" Shouko was shocked at the fast speed Naruto had since it had only been 3 minutes since he left.
"Thank you, I have a very strong body." Naruto said while placing the green tea onto Komi desk.
"That seems like a lot of soda for one person?" Shouko poked the soda cans while staring curiously at Naruto.
"I'm very thirsty." Naruto simply stated as he opened one of the sodas and drank it in one gulp.
Naruto let out a small burp before he tilted his head over to Shouko.
"Do you like the drink?" Naruto asked, wanting to make sure the girl likes the drink or he just might have to get another one.
Komi nodded as she sipped her green tea, it wasn't bad and tasted fairly good.
Soon, Shouko hiccups finally stopped and began to continue on with her story.
"It was an awful experience. I could not greet people or even express how I felt to people. It made me feel different from everyone else since they could do that while I couldn't." Shouko gripped into the notebook in frustration before it came to her realization that this wasn't her notebook.
"I'm so sorry for ruin your notebook!" Shouko quickly apologized to the whiskered man with a bow.
"It fine, I can buy more anyways." Naruto waved it off, the notebook wasn't really worth much and he could buy like a thousand of those easily.
"I'm so sorry, I've been a bane to your existence ever since you came into this school. I..." Shouko wanted to say more before Naruto palm appeared before he faces.
"What are you talking about, Komi. You haven't been a nuisance to me at all?" Naruto wondered where that though came from since Komi hasn't done anything wrong to him.
"But what about that time in the locker and how that one student tried to harm you because of me." Shouko soon brought up the awkward moment they had with each other.
"That wasn't your fault at all, you don't have to blame yourself." Naruto said with an amused sigh.
"Besides, I'm already used to that sort of treatment from everybody." Naruto didn't really care much about the class's attitude towards him.
"So, have you tried to fix your problem?" Naruto asked while he took another soda and gulped it down.
"Yes, I've tried a lot of things to try and fix but nothing worked. I even tried to make a goal for myself to motivate me to do better but that didn't work either." Shouko replied.
"Oh, and what was your goal?" Naruto side eyed Komi with a raised eyebrow, somewhat intrigued by her words.
"Try to make a 100 friend…don't make fun of me for it." Shouko answered before she released a puffed-up cat-look at Naruto.
"I wouldn't make fun of you; I actually had a similar goal to yours." Naruto chuckled at Komi cute but stern look.
"…did you succeed?" Shouko looked expectedly at Naruto, hoping to see if he also achieved his goal.
"Yeah, I most certainly did." A flash of nostalgia and happiness through Naruto eyes as he reminisced about his past.
"Then…can you…help me…" a soft voice soon stared across the room as Komi stared intensely at Naruto.
"…Sure, I don't see why not." Naruto was a little taken back by her beautiful voice before he just shrugged his shoulders and agreed to her request.
It seemed Komi courage had run out as she once again spoke with her notebook and not with her voice.
"Thank you." Shouko wrote it down with a blush.
"It no problem at all." Naruto waved it off before he placed his tilted head onto his palm.
"I guess you have started the first step to your goal." Naruto said with a small chuckle.
Komi frozen and stared curiously at Naruto, wondering what he was talking about.
"What do you mean by that?" Shouko asked with small cat ears coming out of her head.
"Well, I am your friend now, aren't I?" Naruto words caused Komi to be shaken to the core.
She nervously wrote on her notebook before she brought it to Naruto face. "You think of me as your friend?"
"Yes, of course and I promise to help you get the other 99 friend to complete your goal." Naruto stated while holding his arm out for a fist bump.
"…please take care of me." Shouko stated as she fists bumped Naruto.
Naruto chuckled a little at adorable image Komi was creating right now, Naruto stared at Komi can before he questions her.
"Still have a little bit of tea left in that can?" Naruto pointed to Komi green tea to which she nodded to.
"Well then let give a cheer before you finished it." Naruto lifted his last soda can up in the air, Komi followed his movements with her green tea.
"Here's to a bright future together!" Naruto cheered as he clashed his soda together with Komi.
He took one last gulp on his soda and left out a small huff, Komi tried to imitate his behavior and gulp the last of green tea.
She tried to let out a huff, but it turned into a big burp. A massive blush formed on Komi face as her body shook.
She turned to see Naruto barley trying to cover his laughter, she huffed up her cheeks and angrily attacked her Naruto chest with her fist.
Naruto could hold in his laughter anymore and it was soon let out of him because of Komi attack.
"Hahahahahah…" Naruto laughter roared through out the classroom.
Komi soon could longer handle the embarrassment and just sat down on her seat with puffed up cheeks.
Naruto finished his laughter and walked over to Komi to go apologize to the girl, he might have gone too far with the joke.
"Sorry about that Komi." Naruto quickly clapped his hand together to ask for forgiveness.
Komi didn't look back at Naruto and just continued to sulk within her chair with puffed cheeks.
"How about I treat you to some dinner?" Naruto suggested, he was kind of hungry since he was sleepy during lunchtime.
Komi soon thought about it and nodded; she was also hungry since she didn't anything during lunchtime since she was too embarrassed to eat alone.
"Great, I know a good restaurant near the school." Naruto gave out a cheeky smile.
"Come on, school about to end soon." Naruto grabbed his bag and stood next to Komi, waiting for her to ready to go.
Komi stood up and grabbed her bag, she stood next to Naruto as they walked out of the school.
Soon, something came to Komi mind and she grabbed Naruto shirt.
"Need something Komi?" Naruto wondered why Komi had stopped him for.
Komi opened her bag and handed back Naruto notebook.
"Oh…you can keep it if you want Komi." Naruto lightly pushed the notebook back to Komi since he didn't really need it.
Komi held onto the notebook as Naruto walked ahead of her, she soon opened the notebook to the first page.
She stared at it for a moment before she wrote 'friend' at the top and 'Naruto' exactly right below it.
Komi lips curled into a small smile as she stared at the notebook before she placed it back into her bag.
"Come on, Komi. Hurry up." Naruto motioned the girl to catch up with him, Komi nodded as she speed-walked towards Naruto.
She stood next to Naruto with a small smile.
