TwinstarDragon: Thanks. Oh, and she does have a reason. It's just that you won't like it at all.
tH1s: I can't fit the entire thing. And also, that stupid note comment was so unnecessary.
???
Izuku feels his body floats in the empty void. He opens his eyes to see nothing but darkness. He was a bit surprised and wondered what was happening.
"D-dimana gua...? (Where am I...?)" Izuku mutters before looking around frantically, trying to find anyone. "Halo? Yoichi? Kudo? Banjo? Nana? Siapapun? (Hello? Yoichi? Kudo? Banjo? Nana? Anyone?)
Fzzt-Bzzt-Zzzt!!!
"Akh!!" Izuku yelps as he hears a loud static and covers his ears, but to his shock, it is not working. He feels like the static noise travels right into his head, not his ears. He looks around before noticing a glitch on his far left. He looks at it before seeing a pair of eyes.
"s-siapa kau!? (W-who are you!?)" Izuku shouts as the static grows louder, causing Izuku to yelp in pain. From the noise, he could only make up a word.
"Friend..."
And with that, he was pulled out of the void.
Midoriya's Room
"Gakh!!" Izuku got up before accidentally activating One For All and cracks the bed by simply putting pressure on the bed. Izuku winces before deactivating his quirk, frantically looking around as he was covered in cold sweats.
"...Fuck..." Izuku holds his head before furrows his brow and wipes the sweat off.
'You're okay, Ninth?' Nana asks in concern. 'We were unable to call you when you were dreaming. And from how you act, it doesn't seem nice.'
"I-I'm fine..." Izuku says while pinching the bridge of his nose. "The dream...it's more weird than anything..."
'On a scale of 1 to 10, how weird is it?' Banjo asks.
'...10.' Izuku replies before getting up, stretching his limbs. He turns towards the mirror before scratching his cheek. Ever since he regains his memories of his past life, seeing his reflection has been nothing but weird for him.
Back then, he looks like a typical Asian guy, with squinty eyes, black hair, black eyes, and somewhat average height. Right now, he's looking like one of the anime's shonen protagonists.
"Still can't believe I was in an anime or manga..." Izuku says while rubbing his hair. "...or anything related about my old world..."
He grabs a set of clothes before walking into the bathroom to brush his teeth, wash his face, and change his clothes. He's now wearing a white tank top and a pair of gray shorts. He let out a sigh before grabbing his phone, putting on his shoes, and walking out of the apartment.
He starts thinking of how this world has changed through his memories and news. Ever since HPSC was taken down by the heroes, the World Hero Association has decided to take action by sending multiple agents to take over, with Nedzu as the chairman of the newly reformed HPSC.
These changes allow Japan to be more involved in international conflicts. Izuku didn't know if it was much better or not, but given how the old HPSC is no longer available, it seems Japan is supposed to turn into a better society...right?
This changes almost nothing to the timeline. Sure, heroes are fairly more competent now compared to how he once saw them in manga or anime. But, one pressing issue that remains is that the heroes remain too reliant on Quirk and All Might. One example is the Sludge Villain incident where Izuku himself still had to be involved to save Bakugou.
Another thing that remains the same is the discrimination, but then again, it wasn't surprising. With superpowers as the cornerstone of this world, superpowers with tons of utility or raw powers have always been favored while those with little to no utility or straight non-existence were tossed away.
This type of discrimination is one of the reasons why villains like Toga and Spinner exist in the first place. And speaking of villains, All Might's existence lowering the crime rate is a goddamn lie. It's fake news made by the media to hype All Might and swept some nasty shits under the rugs.
Izuku once has seen multiple times where people still get mugged, assaulted, or even raped. Izuku feels ashamed that he ever once ignored them, thinking how he would not be able to help them, and believes a hero will save them. He feels dreading what might happen to them. On one hand, he wished they were okay, but on another hand, he is doubtful.
'...some hero student am I...' Izuku thought bitterly as he jogged through the street.
Speaking of Japan, ever since the WHA got involved, All Might and most top pro heroes have been assigned to another country more than their canon counterparts. This not only helped to establish relationships between the countries but also made Japan's pro heroes team up with each other.
Too bad most of the teamwork was merely for their benefit.
Speaking of heroes, Izuku can't help but notice the differences in paychecks between the pros and the top pros. And to his major surprise, most of the paychecks were from the merchandise they sold over the years. It...somewhat makes sense as a lot of people prefer to buy merchandizes of popular heroes rather the unpopular ones.
Izuku shamelessly admits to himself that he is one of them. The proof is he immediately rushes to a nearby store last night just to buy a Gang Orca Spring limited-edition plush, with a mini kimono and all, with his savings. It did put a huge dent on his piggy banks, but it was worth it given that it was only 100 of them around Japan.
'...society's more screwed than I thought...' Izuku chuckles mirthlessly before he stops right at the Dagobah Beach. He watches as the sun slowly rises.
"..." Izuku remained silent as he was deep in thought. He takes a glimpse into his possible future where he manages to defeat All For One, but from what he saw, it doesn't look like anything's changed.
"...is it better to just allow these changes to happen?" Izuku mutters as despite how some remain the same, it seems that it was much better. Or it was worse. He scratches his head in annoyance, unsure of everything happening.
"Gosh...this is so complicated..." Izuku mutters before he sits on the ground, mentally exhausted. He buries his head in frustration, inhales, and exhales loudly.
"You're okay, kid?" Izuku snaps out of his thought before looking up and his eyes widen. In front of him is a woman around her 30s, wearing a long-sleeved jacket and trousers, a pair of sunglasses, and a baseball cap with indigo/pink hair underneath it.
"...Lady Nagant?" Izuku mutters in shock as the woman flinches before looking away.
"I...have no idea who're you talking about..." 'Lady Nagant' nervously replies. Izuku can't help but snort, her voice was a complete dead giveaway given how she sounded like Frieren.
"Don't lie...I was a huge otaku of heroes, and that hair is a dead giveaway..." Izuku says as the woman groans.
"I hate that she's right..." Lady Nagant curses as Izuku raises his eyebrow. So, it seems like she lives with someone and is in hiding. "Well, then. Since you're okay, I'll just leave you on your own business."
"I..." Izuku remains silent, unsure how to react to her words. Lady Nagant walks away for a few steps before groaning and returning to Izuku.
"Damn my consciousness." Nagant curses before lowering herself to face-to-face with Izuku. "What's eating you, kid?"
"It's...a bit complicated..." Izuku admits. "How...do you feel when you did something big in the hope of changes, but it was all for nothing...? How do you wish you could do to change more...?"
"...I am as clueless as you are, kid..." Nagant admits, somewhat caught off guard by his questions. "What brought you to think such stuff?"
"I...don't know, maybe during the old HPSC crumbles to dust, but it feels like nothing has changed much...?" Izuku shrugs. This time, it was Nagant who groans.
"Oh, you just had to remind me that, didn't you?" Nagant says as Izuku grins sheepishly.
"Sorry..." Izuku mutters.
"Don't be, I do sometimes feel that way." Lady Nagant admits as she sits next to Izuku. "I was hoping that admitting my crimes and HPSCs would help to tear them down, even if I had to be behind bars. But, like you said, it changes something but it was never anything major. I always thought about what could have done more, but a harsh reality hit me that there was nothing I could do. I set the fire on a forest and now it burns into the ground, turning into a wasteland. I wish I could turn back time and plan more instead of hastily making a public confession."
"...you're a good hero, Nagant," Izuku says as Lady Nagant raises her eyebrow.
"What makes you say that?" Lady Nagant asks.
"Well...you admit your faults, it was one thing people rarely able to do since the current society has zero knowledge about 'being humble' or 'humility'" This earns a snort from the woman. "You...choose to do the right thing despite risking your freedom, a selfless sacrifice that most people weren't able to do..."
"...I'm no good hero, kid. Trust me..." Lady Nagant mutters.
"Trust me...of all the heroes I've met, you're one of the best," Izuku says with a smile as Lady Nagant looks like a light returns in her eyes. She then shakes her head before letting a small smile.
"I was supposed to cheer you up from your depressed episode, yet you're the one who cheered me up..." Lady Nagant chuckles lightly. "But thanks...sorry I can't help more...some 'hero' am I..."
"No...seeing one of the best heroes doing fine is enough for me..." Izuku says as Lady Nagant snorts.
"Flattery will get you nowhere." Lady Nagant retorts.
"Is it wrong if I spoke the truth?" Izuku says with a shrug while Lady Nagant rolls her eyes.
"Sure..." Lady Nagant replies playfully. Both of them got up before dusting themselves. "...you remind me of that one kid..."
"Me? 'One kid'?" Izuku raises his eyebrow.
"Yeah...it was 10 years ago when I first met him...his words were the reasons why I chose to hastily hold a public confession regarding HPSC..." Lady Nagant rubs her head. This information causes Izuku's eyes to widen in surprise.
"Can I ask who's the kid?" Izuku asks in shock.
"It's...been 10 years since I met him, I didn't get a chance to ask for his name...but he has spiky gray hair and a pair of glowing ruby eyes...and a pair of sharp teeth..." Izuku immediately registered this information into his head. One person who comes into his mind is Hanzo Hasashi himself. "Anyways, I should go now. Don't mention to anyone about this encounter."
"What encounter?" Izuku gives her a mischievous smile, causing her to snort and left. As she was out of sight, Izuku sighs before ruffling his hair.
"This is so out of anyone's expectations..."
Later
U.A. High
Musutafu, Japan
Izuku walks out of the bus as it stops at U.A., looking at the building as the door behind him closes and the bus drives away. He turns to see a limo approaching the school and he immediately guesses who is it. As it stops and the door opens, he can't help but caught off guard before blanching when he sees who walks out of the door.
It is a tall, humanoid white wolf with a pair of blood-red eyes, wearing a uniform befitting of a butler, a black vest, white buttoned-up shirt, red tie, gray trousers, a pair of fingerless gloves, and a pocket watch in the pocket of his vest. Things that made him stand out, besides the obvious, are the prosthetic legs, the belts around his long fluffy tail, and the eye patch on his right eye.
"We are here, Miss Yaoyorozu." His voice reminds Izuku of Legoshi, which confirms everything.
"I have told you many times, Lycaon. You can just call me Momo." Yaoyorozu's voice can be heard from the car as she walks out of the door.
"Apologies, Miss Yaoyorozu. But, the rules are rules." Lycaon says curtly as Yaoyorozu sighs before noticing Izuku and perks up.
"Midoriya-san!" Izuku waves at her before he grows nervous as he notices Lycaon staring at him judgingly. "I wasn't expecting to see you this early."
"Y-yeah..." Izuku replies nervously. "I...wasn't expecting to see you this early either."
"Well, I think this is nice," Yaoyorozu says with a smile. "I thought I'd be in the class early while being alone, so it's nice to see a friend." She looks a bit hesitant. "...we are friends, right?"
"Yeah. I mean, why wouldn't we?" Izuku asks as Yaoyorozu perks up and smiles.
"Oh, great!" Yaoyorozu says excitedly before dragging Izuku into the class. Izuku hastily follows her as he turns to see Lycaon simply staring at him before walking back to the limos.
'...fuck, I think I'm on his hit list..' And just like that, the vestiges chuckle at the poor boy's misfortune.
Later
After getting into class, Izuku and Yaoyorozu talk for a moment until he meets with the rest of his friends. They talk with each other about mundane stuff and more stuff about themselves. One thing they share is their excitement toward their actual first day in the Hero Course
Sadly, the excitement is short-lived as Izuku and the entire class stare at the whiteboard dully as Present Mic teaches them English. Thanks to self-study in his current life and his experiences from his past life, this lesson seems too boring for the guy. And Izuku is very sure from his friend's expressions, they were very bored.
"Come on, guys! Live a little! You'll use this language to speak with a foreigner when you receive a mission outside the country!" Present Mic exclaims as everyone simply groans.
'Bosen banget...(So Boring...)' Izuku thought as he felt his eyelids grow heavier.
'This is a waste of time...' Bakugou deadpans.
Meanwhile, Hanzo was observing Izuku, who seemed to be bored out of his mind. He didn't say a single word, merely observing the boy.
As for Harumi, she pretends to pay attention to the teacher while continuously giving a hate glance towards Izuku. Izuku feels a slight shiver in his spine before he uses Observation and he regrets ever doing that as a massive hatred coming from Harumi towards him was like a puddle of steaming hot water pouring into his skin.
'Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with that girl!? I never met her in my entire life and she hates me that much!?' Izuku thought in confusion and frustration. 'This is Bakugou shit all over again, but worse because we're strangers!'
Izuku's observation also picks up Hanzo observing him silently. To his confusion, he seems to have a hint of confusion, worry, and...fear. Why does Hanzo observe him with a hint of fear again?
'Could he be...?' Izuku thought before shaking his head. '...I have played too many ideas for fanfics in my past lives...what are the coincidences of meeting another transmigrator/iseka'd/reincarnated so early in the story...then again...his involvement shifts Lady Nagant's fate off the rail...'
'...I regret ever learning the existence of isekai'd...this is too complicated...' Yoichi mutters.
'You, the otaku, think this is complicated? What about us!?' Banjo states in disbelief.
Later
Cafeteria
"Gosh, I thought Present Mic was going to bore me to death..." Izuku moans before he eats his Katsudon.
"Come now, Midoriya-san." Yaoyorozu chastises him. "Don't be rude to our teacher."
"I'm sorry, Yaomomo. But, Midoriya-kun's right. Present Mic's lessons are so boring..." Ochako mutters as she eats her rice.
"Not you too, Ura-!? Wait, Yaomomo?" Yaoyorozu looks a bit puzzled at her nickname.
"Yeah, no offense, Yaomomo. Your name is too mouthful. I had to make a nickname. I hope you don't mind." Hagakure says sheepishly.
"Also, I agree with Ochako-chan. Present Mic makes English lessons boring." Tsuyu stated.
"I...don't mind. You all can just call me Yaomomo." Yaoyorozu says with a gentle smile.
"You all may think that way, but Present Mic's lessons have the utmost importance for us to maintain good relations with heroes of another country," Iida exclaims.
"Yeah, but I understand nothing from his lessons..." Eijirou groans as Koda shyly nods.
"Besides, I already know English. It was kind of pointless to learn it." Izuku says in English, surprising them all.
"Midori-bro! Please tutor me!" Kirishima immediately begs Izuku as he holds Izuku's shirt.
"K-Kirishima, let go!" Izuku gently pushes Kirishima away, a slight pink tint on his cheek. Ochako wasn't any help either as she also joined in.
"Help me as well, Midoriya-kun!" Izuku's blush grows even more as they get closer, and continue to beg for his help.
"G-guys, help..." Izuku begs pitifully as Yaoyorozu and Hagakure giggle a bit, Iida looks exasperated, and Koda and Tsuyu look a bit amused.
"Well, we can set up a group study to improve our academics in my house. I can prepare some snacks for you all." Yaoyorozu exclaims excitedly.
"Awesome!" Both of them let Izuku go as they cheer. Izuku let out a sigh of relief before noticing Tsuyu staring at him with a knowing look.
"...what?" Izuku asks, a bit worried at Tsuyu's expression.
"...nothing." Izuku doubts that's true, especially when her lips twitch upwards and form a sly smile.
Later
After finishing their lunches, all of Class 1-A went back to their class to continue their lessons. It is math and it was taught by Ectoplasm. Izuku felt the gear at his head overheated as he didn't want to go through maths lessons again, especially given how much his college days and his past life were very heavily focused on Calculus.
It was a nightmare for Izuku and so many sleepless nights during that time. He balked when Ectoplasm started with Calculus and his mind crashed. It took the effort of all Vestiges, including All Might's incomplete one, to fully reboot his brain.
After that one hell of a nightmare, Izuku manages to relax his mind, and completely collapse on the table.
"I...hate Calculus..." Izuku mutters incoherently, earning a sweatdrop from Yaoyorozu.
"Come now, Midoriya-san. It can't be that bad." Yaoyorozu says before she hears multiple thuds and sees Hagakure, Uraraka, Kirishima, Tsuyu and even Koda join in.
"I...hate Calculus!" They say in unison causing Iida and Yaoyorozu to facepalm in exasperation.
"...do any of you have any idea who's going to be our Foundational Hero Studies class?" Tsuyu asks, her voice muffled by the table she buried her face on.
"It'll be cool if All Might taught us," Kirishima replies. As he says that, they hear a familiar loud laughter from the outside of the class. This earns a gasp from everyone as the unofficial Dekiru-Squad perks up.
"No way..." Kirishima mutters excitedly as they all look at him excitedly. Izuku simply smiles in amusement as the door slides open and All Might appears, hanging on the door with a large smile on his face.
"I am here! Coming through the door like a normal person!" Izuku cracks up before covering his mouth, his body shakes as he holds his laughter. He can hear Nana groan and facepalmed while the rest of the vestiges either sigh in exasperation or groan in disbelief.
'I can feel the second-hand embarrassment, and it is not funny.' Nana moans.
"Haha, I see that everyone's excited! Now, calm down and I'll give you a brief explanation for this course." All Might says as everyone calms down. "I will teach you all the basic hero training, you all will be trained in different ways to learn the basics of being a hero. And for today's lessons, we'll start with this!"
All Might pull out a card from his pocket. On the card, it was written 'Battle Training' in kanji. In an instant, Izuku can feel the excitement from everyone. Izuku didn't need Observation to sense the excitement radiating from Bakugou.
"And let's shall not forget these!" All Might exclaims as he pulls out a remote before pressing a button. This causes the wall opposite the door to open up, revealing cases with numbers written on it. "These are the costumes made based on the quirk registrations and requests you sent before the school started!"
"Yeah!" Everyone cheered as they rushed towards their cases. Izuku picks up his case before noticing the note sticking out of the case. Izuku pulls it out and opens it.
Heya, Izuku-san!
I have successfully made most of your requested support items, just as we discussed yesterday! There are some that I can't finish in time due to the lack of time, so sorry about that. Good luck with your lesson and hope you'll do your best! Plus ultra!
Miles. P
Izuku can't help but smile at the little note he got before he opens the case. When he sees what's inside it, he can't help but grin.
'No, Miles. You have outdone yourself.' Izuku thought before rushing towards the changing room along with everyone.
To be continued
