Marry me.

Those words washed through her like a cold bucket of ice water and she didn't know how to take it into account. Was this man mocking her? Trying to see how far he could push her? Because she wasn't a woman to take lightly and to hear the don of Tartaros, the enemy, ask for an alliance after years of war and bloodshed, she was sure he was trying to play one of his dirty tricks on her.

She was fast to grab at her gun shoved into her waistband, pressing the cold barrel against the don's temple where he didn't even blink an eye.

He still had that annoying smirk curled up on his lips and his dark eyes flashed with amusement.

"Don't fuck with me," she growled, her own gaze darkening. "What kind of game are you playing, Dragneel?"

"Normally when someone is asked to marry the person, they don't react in such a hostile manner."

"This isn't a normal marriage proposal and we are not normal," she hissed, pushing the gun harder against his head as he looked down at her calmly, clearly unfazed about the weapon pressed against his temple. "What are you playing at?"

"Can't a man finally grow some balls to ask the woman of his dreams to marry him?"

"Cut the crap!"

In a flash, Natsu had grabbed at her hand that held the gun to his head and twisted it behind her, shoving her against the wall. Her finger pressed on the trigger at the same time, the bullet shooting out into the ceiling where it echoed with its shot and Lucy let out a gasp of air when she was pressed into the wall. She tried to swipe at his feet but he kicked them apart, grabbing at the hand that held the gun for him to slam it against the wall where she yelped and dropped the metal. Natsu kicked the gun to the side before he spun her and shoved her hard, her cheek pressing against the wall. He pressed his entire frontside of his body against her back, keeping her pinned.

"I knew you were a lying piece of—"

"I am merely containing you, Miss Heartfillia," he purred into her ear and she resisted the urge to shiver. "Putting a gun to your fiancé's head is a bit extreme, no?"

"I am not your fiancé!" She shrieked, trying to shove him off but he was much larger and bodied her against the wall. She grunted as he pushed further and she could feel every part of him against her plush backside.

"You will be my fiancé," he whispered in her ear and her body grew stiff as his hot breath tickled her ear. "There is too much on stake for either of us. I am doing this to help save our organizations and bring two powerful organizations together. Can you imagine the power we would have? The long feud against Tartaros and Fairy Tail can finally be squashed and we can finally live in harmony."

He slid his hand up her wrist pressed against the wall and laced his fingers with hers, keeping it high above her head while his grip on her other arm remained behind her.

The sensations shot tingles down her arm and into her body, warming her incredibly.

She twisted her head to glare at him over her shoulder, teeth clenched. "You're fucking with me."

"I assure you I am not," he replied casually. "Do I seem like a man who jokes about marriage?"

Lucy used her leg to kick him right in the shin, her heel digging into his leg where he jerked back from the sudden pain. Using the opportunity, Lucy twisted her hips and shot out her leg to come into contact with him but he dodged it, the hand that held hers against the wall slipping to grab at her calf. Once her hand was free, she grabbed his hair from the back and yanked, forcing him to bend backwards as she finally freed herself and kneed him right in the side.

"Fine, fuck," He hissed as he clutched onto his side and grabbed at her arm that was swinging for him once more. "Want to play it that way? We can play it that way."

His other hand shot out and grabbed at her upper arm, yanking her forward which caused her to stumble. She quickly regained her momentum and tried to charge at him, thrusting her head up to try and come in contact with his own head but his arm wrapped around her torso and bent her over, flipping her upside down in the air where her legs dangled above his head and her back pressed against his front. In a swift move, he threw her over his head and forced her to straddle the chair, pinning her arms behind her back to toss her right onto the chair he asked her to sit on earlier, face shoved into the soft cushion of the spine.

Lucy made a soft yelp as her face came in contact with the chair and she was panting harshly. She could feel Natsu press up against behind her and she blamed the blush on her cheek from the small fight, heart pounding behind her chest.

"Just kill me, why don't you? Why are you playing around with me?"

"Kill you? What kind of man would I be if I killed my fiancé for trying to assert dominance over me?" He laughed lightly in her ear and she was very aware of how he had his body sandwiching her within the seat and himself. Her legs were useless with how they were on either side of the cushion and with her hands pinned behind her back and the don using his body as a wall to keep her in place, she was stuck.

She underestimated him and while it may take her a moment to calculate and figure out how to get out of his intimate hold, she may as well lower his guard again.

"But Lucy, did you know?" He whispered into her ear again and she felt her body shake with how hot she was feeling. "You can never be the one dominating me. That's my job." He lightly nipped at her ear and she fought hard to keep the whimper down.

She bit down on her bottom lip to hold back the moan that wanted to bubble out and she twisted her head to glare at him over her shoulder. "You're such a fucking pig. Get off me."

"Are you going to try and hurt me, again?"

"Obviously."

"Then no." He flashed her a boyish grin. "Just listen to me for a second."

"And why should I listen to you? You're not a trustworthy man!"

"I am actually a very trustworthy man," he said, keeping his annoying smile on his handsome face as she growled at him. "I must say, this position gives me such a great idea for our wedding night. We may have to reenact this exact moment."

"I'm not having sex with you!"

"Oh but you will, sweet Lucy," he leaned in to brush his lips against her earlobe and she let out a soft gasp at the feel of it rushing down her spine. "You will be my wife and I will be your husband and we will be the most powerful fucking family out there. We'll make history and conjoin two powerful families to make one. We'll be fucking rich and unstoppable." He growled into her ear and she felt the tips of her ears redden while the familiar clench of her pussy brought out a small whimper. "Think about it. It's a good deal. I can arrange something for all of us to meet and discuss this officially."

The way he whispered into her ear made her physically weak and if she were on her feet they most definitely would have wobbled. Her body was pulsing with desire and feeling Natsu's hot hard body on her back, she could only fight the lewd thoughts that were rushing into her head.

"I'm not going to fuck you." She spat and he chuckled darkly, his other hand coming down to her side to feel down her curves. "Get your filthy hands off of me!"

"One day, you're going to be begging for these hands to never leave your body," he continued to murmur in her ear while his hand dipped down her body, falling onto her hips. "And I'm going to fuck you so hard you won't be able to ever be with another man without thinking of me." He gave her hips a squeeze and she squeezed her eyes shut to bask in the feeling of it. "I'm going to fucking ruin you Lucy Heartfillia, soon to the Lucy Dragneel. That, I promise you."

"You're fucking delusional if you think I'm going to marry you, nonetheless fuck you!"

"Hmm, we'll see." He purred into her ear and then his hands were off and she was being released from his hold.

The instant cold she felt when Natsu removed himself from behind her made a flicker of disappointment pool inside her but she quickly pushed it aside to get off the chair. She spun around to ensure he wasn't going to be pulling any dirty tricks and she froze when she realized he had retrieved her gun and held it right at her head.

Her eyes widened and she stood as still as she could, watching him as his blank stare watched her back.

After a few seconds of silence, Natsu lowered the gun and flipped it over, holding it from the barrel as he held it out to her.

"Come on, Heartfillia, you really think I was going to shoot my fiancé?"

Feeling her face grow red with anger, Lucy snatched the gun from his hands. "No, but I will." She said before she removed the safety off of it and aimed right at his leg to shoot without hesitation. The bullet shot out, firing loudly as it went right into his leg and Natsu yelped as he stumbled back and fell against his desk.

Blood gushed out of his bullet wound and he slapped a hand over his thigh, the look of disbelief flashing across his face.

"You fucking shot me?"

"Want me to do it again?" She glared at him, holding up the gun. The way Natsu hissed out in pain and cursed under his breath had a small smile curl up and she tucked away the gun back behind her waistband. She walked over to where he was, ignoring the blood and the sounds of pain coming from the man and she pressed her hand against his chest before running it up his nape, keeping her eyes on his as she let out a soft purr. "Tomorrow night. Eight PM. Meet at 8island and we'll discuss this… alliance further."

"Wouldn't miss it for the world, princess." He said through clenched teeth and she grinned before she spun around and left his office.

To say she wasn't the only one surprised about the events that had occurred was a given. Erza and Gray were walking in the bar when she was walking out and they claimed she had been gone for nearly an hour and then after hearing the gun shot they tried to rush in. But Lucy assured them that she was the one who shot off the gun and they all piled back in the car to report back to the organization.

While Lucy was the don for Fairy Tail, she relied heavily on her advisors. Makarov was a very short old man who had been a part of Fairy Tail for decades and as he had gained much experience in the underworld, Lucy considered him to be her grandfather and trusted him with his advice and knowledge.

He was acting as the don during the time of her parent's murder and as he slowly helped Lucy get into the role as a leader, she had grown very fond of this older man.

He had seen a lot in his life and she was sure he would always guide her in the right direction.

Even now when there was a shitstorm of angered chatter bouncing off the wall to the terms of the alliance.

"But gramps! This is Tartaros that we are talking about!" Gray shouted, slamming his hand on the wooden table. "We can't just trust them! What if this turns out to be a mass massacre?"

"Gray does have a point. We shouldn't lower our guards just because the don had asked for an alliance." Erza piped in, stern eyes turning to glance around the table.

"That motherfucker is always playing tricks. What is he planning now?" Laxus said out loud but he was speaking more to himself than anyone else at the table.

"He's probably trying to take Lucy as his bride and kill her so he becomes the official don of both organizations. We can't let that happen!"

The entire time Makarov stayed silent, taking in everything his children were all barking back and forth about. His eyes trailed over to see how Lucy was and to see her eyes pinned on the table and quiet was unusual for her.

"What's on your mind, child?" He said, making her attention immediately snap up to look at him.

She had a look of uncertainty cross her features and she let out a sigh, leaning back against her chair. "I.. I know this may sound crazy," she started as she looked around the table before looking back at the older man. "But… I think we should proceed."

"Lucy!" Gray shouted in disbelief. "How could you say that?! Did you forget who killed our men?! Your parents?"

"This war has been going on long enough," Lucy pushed down the feelings of sadness at the mention of her late parents. "This alliance would surely help us move forward and build into a bigger foundation. Both Fairy Tail and Tartarus have been getting their hands dirty and both of our people have been killed so we cannot put all the blame on them. We all have blood on our hands."

"It's not the matter of who has killed more but more so who started it."

"It is ridiculous to think you'd actually want to marry the don of Tartaros!"

"What choice do I have?" Lucy snapped making the room grow hush at the volume of her voice. "Right now, our numbers are plummeting due to the mass increase of deaths. Tartaros won't care to go after every single one of us but with the alliance, it will cease fire and allow for us to rebuild. There is too much bloodshed and too much suffering. We must fight on and end this violence and conflict before it's too late."

Silence absorbed into the room and as Lucy gauged everyone's expressions, she could only take it as them coming to terms with the idea.

Even if a large parts of her hates Natsu for his cockiness and his stupid fucking grin, she knew this was too good of a deal to pass up. The war has been going on for far too long and truthfully it should have been done sooner but none were to come out and propose the idea.

Joining together has the opportunity to move things sky high and even though both parties didn't need anymore extra funding, it was always welcome. And with how their numbers have dropped significantly for the last decades, production and distribution has been hard and tricky. They had to move fast with their supplies or other organizations were going to strike and begin tearing them all apart.

And it could be worse. She could be marrying someone who's twice her age, hairy, and fat. Natsu was the same age as her and he was fit and… handsome. Surely she won't ever admit that to him or out loud but the biggest reason for this engagement was to bring two organizations together and that was her priority.

Pride and feelings aside, she was to marry Natsu for the sake of their families.

Nothing more or nothing less.

It was simply just a contract.

Showing up the next day dressed in her finest silk and highest heels, Lucy looked every part of the sweet innocent business woman she made herself to be. She had a silk scarf wrapped around her head with a gun strapped to both her thighs underneath the long skirt and her trusty dagger tucked safely between her breasts. Gray, Erza, Laxus, and his wife, Mirajane, who happened to be a lawyer had accompanied her to this dinner with a couple of her other men stationed outside to keep an eye out and be back up if needed.

Even if the don of Tartaros was the one to bring up the alliance, they still couldn't trust his word so they had come prepared.

Lucy made large strides into the restaurant, smiling sweetly to those who worked there before they were making their way towards the back of the restaurant. A little bit more secluded and hidden from the public eyes, Lucy sat down at the booth where Mirajane and Laxus slid in on either side with Erza and Gray standing on either sides of the table.

Lucy peered over at the clock that was pinned to the wall and she hummed to herself in preparation, looking around the dimly lit place with disinterest.

She could tell Gray was nervous with the way he was fidgeting in place and her other men were stiff, counting down the minutes till Natsu were to show his face. She couldn't blame them for being so on edge considering they were to meet with such a powerful man with a well-known reputation but for some reason, especially since she had put a bullet through his leg yesterday, Lucy couldn't find it in her to feel any type of fear.

She's never feared Natsu as much as others did. It was hard to fear someone of his kind when all he does is throw dirty taunts her way and has such a boyish grin. She knows what he's capable of but for some odd reason, she couldn't find it in herself to harbor any ill feelings towards the man.

Besides the feelings of being utterly disgusted at the fact she found him so irresistibly attractive.

He was an annoying brat who did whatever he wanted and spewed nonsense all day long. To others, he was the don. To her, he was just Natsu.

Annoying, brash, arrogant Natsu Dragneel with a killer smile and a filthy fucking mouth.

The clatter of moving seats and tables caught her attention and as she leaned back into her seat to see Natsu and his men being escorted towards her table, a pleased smug smile could only tug on her lips at the sight of his slight limp. He looked like he was trying to not show it as much but she could clearly see the light grimace on his face every time he took a step.

"Having trouble with your leg, Dragneel?"

"Yeah, my future wife shot me because I did something she didn't like."

"You shot him?" Mirajane uttered out in disbelief as those around all exchanged wide-eyed looks.

Lucy merely snickered as Natsu gave her a stern glare, a slight twitch of his lips showing he wasn't really angry about it.

"He pointed a gun at me first." She shrugged nonchalantly. "And he pissed me off."

"Let's refrain from shooting anyone from now on." Natsu said and Lucy gave him a hard stare in response. "I came prepared with a document so we can discuss our partnership." He snapped his fingers and his men behind him started to move without any words. One of them dragged a chair over for him to sit on and the other opened up a briefcase to grab a large manila envelope from it to present it to the blonde.

With Natsu now sitting on the other side of the table with his men lingering behind, Lucy could feel the air around them thicken. She didn't know if it was hers and his men itching to open fire or if it was between them as their eyes locked and openly stared for a moment too long.

She didn't know who was representing the Tartaros organization but thankfully she had a lawyer within the family. Mirajane had become an immense help whenever one of them got into trouble and she handled all things legal and illegal.

It was the one thing Laxus did right.

"Now let me ask you this," Mirajane said as she shifted the papers back together to create a stack. "I understand this is an agreement between two families for an arranged marriage but I would like to see why it may have to pertain to you and Lucy specifically?"

There was a pregnant pause that lingered in between and Natsu merely rolled his neck side to side before his eyes found Lucy's and he smirked at her.

"What can you say? I'm incredibly head over heels for Miss Heartfillia. Who's better than the two head don's getting hitched?"

Lucy rolled her eyes at him and let out an irritated huff. "Regardless of who is involved in the marriage, we are seeing it as a unity and peace agreement between the two organizations to the public's eye. It's not even real."

"Not real?" Natsu echoed with a soft laugh attached to it. "Do you honestly think that all we are doing is signing a piece of paper and then going on with our lives?"

Lucy blinked as she looked over at the don, confusion and skepticism mirroring her features. "Well, clearly since we are to show the underworld that we have joined forces, I don't see a reason on why we have to act the part."

"If the other organizations catch whiff that this was simply a matter of ceasing fire and know that both of our organizations are losing members, they won't hesitate to come after us."

"So, you want to play fucking house?" Lucy asked in disbelief and he had a pleased smile to his lips.

"As long as I can be the daddy."

Her face flushed with anger and embarrassment and the way he was smirking at her from across the table made her fingers twitch. She was highly aware of the two guns strapped to her thighs and she wanted to shoot him in the other leg to make a point how irritating he truly was.

"So, what? You and I play house and show the underworld that we're madly in love and then take over the world?"

"Sounds about right."

Lucy turned to look at her associates in mild disbelief. "He's fucking with us."

"I assure you I am not." Natsu piped up but they ignored him.

"Mira, anything in the document that entails any hidden clauses?"

"Not anything that would be a disadvantage for us as much as it is for them." She gave her a sympathetic smile. "But in a sense, Mr. Dragneel is correct about the terms. This is about a show. If the other organizations see that this was an arranged marriage to bring Tartaros and Fairy Tail together because of the current state both parties are in, we may not be able to survive if they come together to overthrow us. With the alliance between Tartaros and us, our numbers and power would increase significantly."

Lucy was stunned for a moment at the news that Mirajane had just broken, the gears in her head turning for her to process it all.

"She's smart." Natsu noted, nudging his head over to the platinum blonde who offered a sweet smile while Laxus shot him a deadly glare. "You got a nice one, Luce." He snickered and she sneered at him.

"Don't call me that."

"It'll be nice to have her on my side as well once our wedding is over and you're stuck with me forever."

"Shut the fuck up before I put bullet through your other leg."

Immediately Natsu's men sneered down at her and took a step forward but Natsu was quick to stop them, raising his hand up in a lazy gesture. "Stand down."

"But boss—"

"I said stand. Down." Natsu hissed, baring his teeth at the two who jolted with the intensity of his stare. "That's my future wife right there. If she wants to throw a tantrum then let her."

"I am not—!"

"Let's discuss the wedding." Mirajane cleared her throat, interrupting the two who were about to start bickering once again. "We need to determine the timeframe and location to began preparations."

"I'd like to be wed at the Heartfillia estates." Lucy immediately said forcing the attention to be brought back to her. "Nothing outrageously large or wild."

"That might be a little hard," Gray muttered under his breath and Lucy tossed him a glare over her shoulder.

"We wed in two weeks." Natsu added and Lucy whipped her head to look over at him with wide eyes.

"Two weeks?!"

"Two weeks." Natsu said without anything else to add and the two sat there with their eyes locked with great intensity. The air seemed to grow heavier and she growled at him, glaring menacingly but it seemed to amuse him even further. "Now that everything is settled, I think we all have a busy two weeks ahead of us so let us depart."

And just like that his men were up and moving and Natsu stood up, wincing slightly at the weight that he put on his leg. "I'll see you then, Lucy." Her name rolled off his tongue in a seductive tone and he flashed her a feral grin making the tips of her ears burn as she growled at him.

"Fuck you."

"In two weeks." He laughed, waving his hand in the air. "You can keep the document, we have a copy of it. Have your lawyer send it over once you've finished signing it. My signature is already on there."

Watching him limp out of there should have been satisfying in itself but Lucy had too much going on in her head.

She had a wedding to plan for in just two weeks. She was to become Lucy Dragneel in a mere two weeks. And she knew right then that after that two weeks, she would be ruined in the hands of someone like him.

Mafia don or not, Natsu Dragneel was not one to make such promises without making sure to go through with it.

She knew she was fucked.

Someone was going to die in the end and she just hopes it's not her.
