The next day at the lunch table, Nora was sharing another one of her over exaggerated stories of before she and Ren came to Beacon. Yang was listening with anticipation, while Blake read her book, not listening. Everyone else listened as well, with varying degrees of attention. Pyrrha, however, couldn't stop looking at Jaune with a worried look on her face,
"So there we were, in the middle of the night." She began.
"It was day." Ren corrected her.
"We were surrounded by Ursai!" Nora continued. Yang's expression changed to one of slight fear over her tale.
"They were Beowolves." Ren corrected once more.
"Dozens of them!" Nora shouted as she stood up, caught up in her story.
"Two of them." Ren said, now getting slightly annoyed.
"But they were no match." Nora continued. By now, Jaune was just playing with his food. Ruby and i, who was sitting next to her, looked across the table at him worried. "And in the end, Ren and I took them down, and made a boat load of Lien selling Ursa skin rugs." She finished, satisfied with her tale.
Ren sighed apologetically before saying, "She's been having this recurring dream for nearly a month now."
Pyrrha finally decided to address Jaune, who clearly had something troubling him. "Jaune, are you okay?"
"Huh?" Jaune was zoned out in his thoughts. When Pyrrha asked him the question, he was slightly startled, before responding to her without making eye contact with her. "Oh, yeah! W-why?" he asked nervously.
Ruby answered "I-it's just that you seem a little…" She began, twirling her hands trying to find the right word. "not okay." Everyone other than Weiss and Blake looked at him worried, which Jaune now realized.
"Guys, I'm fine, seriously. Look!" He said, giving a thumbs up and forcing a smile, then laughing nervously.
Jaune was then interrupted as he heard Cardin laughing nearby, his team mocking Velvet once again, one of them hopping around with his hands on his head, mimicking her with her ears.
Jaune looked at Cardin with a slight hatred, his fist clenched at the thought of what he was doing.
"Jaune, Cardin has been picking on you since the first week of school." Pyrrha said, breaking his defenses
"Who, Cardin Winchester? Nah, he just likes mess around, y'know" He tried to reassure her, waving his hand in dismissal. "Practical jokes." He decided.
"He's a bully." Ruby said sternly, trying to show him the obvious.
Jaune was a very oblivious person, either that, or he was in denial. He just wasn't very good at figuring these things out for himself, or he was just really bad at accepting the truth, as sad as it may appear.
ok, keep calm don't go to Cardin and his team now, otherwise it could end very badly for them." I repeated to myself, trying to restrain myself and hide my growing anger at the scene.
Jaune scoffed at Ruby's words. "Oh, please, name one time he's 'bullied' me." He said with air quotes.
I immediately began. "What, like the time he threw your books onto the ground in the hallway? Or the time he activated your shield in a doorway, getting you stuck? Or the time he stuffed you in a locker during Goodwitch's class and sent you away in one with its rockets?" i said with seriousness.
"I didn't land far from the school!" He retorted.
"Jaune, that was all this morning, and its barely past 12 o'clock." i pointed out.
"Jaune you know if you ever need help you can just ask!" Pyrrha said, trying to help him and encourage him to do just that so he can get Cardin off his back.
Nora then thought of a great solution in her mind. She shot up in excitement. "Ooh!" She began, before getting into a fighting stance with her arms out ready to punch someone. "We'll break his legs!" She said with a fire in her eyes.
Jaune stood up. "Guys, really! Its' fine! Besides, it's not like he's only a jerk to me, he's a jerk to everyone."
"Ooww, that hurts," someone suddenly shouted, prompting everyone to turn to where Cardin's team was at once again. The team saw that Cardin was now pulling on the ears of the rabbit Faunus he and his friends were cornering, while she attempted to get away to no avail, much to his teammates' amusement. "Please, stop," the girl pleaded.
Cardin just ignored her, and looked to his friends as he said, "I told you it was real!"
"What a freak," his teammate, Russel mocked as he and the others continued to laugh.
As i watched the bullies continue picking on the girl, i could feel my scowl growing with every second, and was soon repeating a mantra in his head just to keep calm.'They're not worth it. They're not worth it.' Even my monsters were angry for cause of Team CRDL and as me they want to do this.
The two teams and i continued watching as the girl finally managed to pull away, only to end up having Cardin's other teammate, Dove pull her back by her lunch tray. "Hey, how big a family do you have anyway," Dove inquired.
"It's probably massive enough to the point where the neighbors are always calling someone about a rodent infestation" Sky, the last member of Team CRDL remarked with a mocking grin.
When the girl finally pulled away again, she failed to realize that Cardin had made his way around her and stuck his leg out, until after she had tripped over said leg and fell to the floor, her tray of food splattering everywhere and making her landing much messier. When she sat up again, it looked like she was on the verge of tears, and all Team CRDL could do was continue laughing. That proved to be a mistake, as they had unknowingly just set off a demon duelist.
"Screw it! I can't just sit here anymore," i finally snapped jumping up and started making my way over.
Back with Cardin, he was about to move in and torture the poor girl some more, when he was suddenly pushed back towards his friends. Looking to who had gotten in his way, he was met with my sight "I'm only going to say this once: leave her alone," I growled.
"Oh yeah? And what're you gonna do if we don't," Dove challenged.
I would have answered, had Sky not realized who they were talking to first. "Hold on, the weirdo with the cards?"
"He's dead" i said feeling the emotions of my deck.
"Yeah, the Freelancer Huntsman-in-training ," Russel recalled with a mocking grin. "Although, they should called you Tomato-in-training since you got a tomato for head."
"I can get over my hair, but I don't tolerate bad mouthers about my cards because they are much stronger than those pieces of junk you call weapons that you walk around with."
"You want to run that by me again, punk," Russel challenged.
"Oh, I'm so sorry, i should have used smaller words or at least put it in a way that you guys could understand. Let me try to translate." I then cleared my throat and started talking.
"Duel monsters good, very good. Stupid sticks you use bad. You dumb."
While all my friends either grinned, made some feeble attempt to suppress their laughter, or just outright laughed without a care along with all the other students that were observing the confrontation, Cardin and his team just got angrier, until Cardin got almost right up in my face. "Are you making fun of us," he demanded.
I didn't answer, but instead looked at Cardin in amazement as i gasped, "Oh wow! A bully who's so stupid he doesn't even realize when someone's giving him a taste of his own medicine! Did somebody, ever seen something like that?" I aked to the public.
"You know what else they didn't see? Your faces after I've planted a fist into it," Cardin growled.
"Please. You'd be more likely to hurt yourself doing that. Honestly though, I'm surprised that you don't already hurt yourself on those subpar pieces of metal that you call armor, and i'm even wondering how you got into this school in the first place."
Now Cardin was pissed. "You want to start something with me? Fine! I'll take you on right here, right now!"
"I've got a better idea. Combat arena, after class. You and all of your teammates against me." I offered. When Team CRDL started to look like they were thinking i was trying to run away, i informed them, "Unlike you losers, i'm not stupid enough to try and do something that would be likely to get us detention at best. Besides, i might as well make it at least a little closer to a fair fight for you."
"…You're on," Cardin growled, and with that, he shoved past me. Doing so proved to be a bad move, since i held their ground fast, and made Cardin stumble a little as a result, leading him to look even more stupid than he already did after the little show just now.
When the four bullies were finally gone, I returned my attention to Cardin's most recent victim, and began helping her to better clean up the recent mess. "Sorry you had to put up with that from those guys," i said to the rabbit Faunus. "Are you okay?"
"Y-yes. Thank you," the girl nervously replied as she finally gathered the last of her things. "You didn't have to do that."
"Someone had to, and i wanted to help," i answered with a friendly smile. "Besides, how many sensible people do you know of that actually like seeing someone getting bullied?"
The girl remained silent, but she did smile a little more after she heard that, prompting to grin a little more to me. "Anyways, I don't think we've really had the chance to introduce myself to you, yet. I'm Yuya Sakaki." i said.
" The Freelancer Huntsman-in-training, right? You're kind of legends among a lot of the students along with Teams RWBY and JNPR," the rabbit-eared girl informed me, her small smile not wavering in the slightest. When she saw the surprised look i gained upon hearing that, she started to get the sense that she made me feel a little awkward, and quickly said, "I'm Velvet, of Team CFVY (Coffee)."
"Nice to meet you, Velvet," I greeted in return helping her up. I then thought for a minute and asked, "Would you mind if i walk with you to your dorm, just in case those guys try to make any more trouble for you?"
"Oh, I wouldn't want to be any trouble, and besides, I have another class after lunch…" Velvet tried to protest, but i was quick to wave that aside.
"Don't worry. It's no trouble at all. Besides, I doubt you'd really want to go to class covered in food like that," i reassured her.
"I can't believe Professor Goodwitch actually approved of this," Weiss said a few hours later after classes were over. She and the others had now all gathered together in school's combat arena to watch my match against Team CRDL, and from the look of things, nearly the entire school had as well. Not that this was too different from usual, as more often than not, if the students all heard about a match taking place in the arena outside of combat class, they would likely try to find a way to come and watch, but when word got out as to the circumstances behind the face-off, a whole new buzz had quickly picked up. Of course, no matches could take place without prior approval from Glynda or Ozpin, but Weiss was sure that the deputy headmistress would have said no when she found out the reason why this was happening.
"Guess she's just as upset about the way Cardin's been treating other students as everyone else," Yang offered in reasoning.
Before the others could say anithing else, the whole room suddenly became alive with even more energy than before, and they all quickly turned to see the reason why was because of me making my entrance into the arena. I was happy to be claimed by the surrounding crowd even by all the cheers that were going up for me, especially among the Faunus students and anyone else that Cardin had been picking on, but instead, i just kept my gaze straight ahead at both the arena, and the entrance that my opponents would be stepping through. Said opponents did not take long to enter, as the various amounts of jeering and booing proved when Cardin strode in, his mace hefted over one shoulder, with the rest of his team falling in behind him, each armed with their own weapons as well. To be honest though, the way that they were coming in made Cardin look like a back alley gang leader with a posse of mindless idiots that would do everything their leader said just because they could not think for themselves, but i did not care. They were too busy glaring at all four of me as they waltzed in.
"Alright, settle down everyone," Goodwitch called out, hoping to retain some form of civilized manner in this whole affair. "Now, for those who are not already aware, this will be an exhibition match between the Freelancer Huntsman-in-training Yuya Sakaki , and the entirety of Team CRDL. As with all of our matches, tournament style rules will be applied here, so the winner will be decided when the Aura level of all members on one team falls into the red." She then cast an uncertain glance at me and asked, "Mister Sakaki, are you certain that you do not wish to have someone else of another team join you, or that you would rather only face one member of Team CRDL as opposed to all of them?"
"Positive, Professor," i answered. Then i smirked a little adding, "It's already a little unfair for Cardin and his friends as it is just to be facing me and my pals. Adding someone else would just make it overkill or better a suicide."
Cardin and his boys just grew a little angrier until the leader of the four snapped, "Just start this thing already so we can ground you into dust!"
Glynda shot a very irritated look at Cardin for his outburst, cowing the bully a little after she had, and then allowed a brief silence to rein over the arena before she stepped outside of the arena's boundaries and declared, "Very well then…BEGIN!"
At the signal I activated the duel disk generating the action field and obviously this act did not go unnoticed since for a moment there was a yellow light around us from which then blue platforms were generated together with a sphere in the sky which then exploded around the field leaving action cards.
The public was not understanding what I had done, many were saying it was my semblance, or that it was a special occasion, science. So many thoughts went through their heads and even my opponents weren't understanding what it was when they looked at me that I was smiling confused and annoyed.
"Hey! Tomato what did you do?" Cardin asked looking at me.
I did not answer but instead I jumped on the platforms that were close to me reaching a point where everyone could see me, it was already clear that I would have left everyone speechless.
"Ladies and gentlemen, girls and boys of all ages! I welcome you to the opening of the Sakaki Circus, here you will see performances that no one has ever seen before, crazy stunts, spectacular duels and pure entertainment. Now since this is the first show I would like to thank everyone for being here and I promise you it will be an exciting show.
I drew my five cards and then landed again in front of my opponents.
"Let's start the show by calling today's first artist," I put the card on the blade.
"I summon Performapal skullcrobat joker!" i said when a masked blonde performer with a cheeky fanged grin and an oversized tophat tipped his hat as he performed a bow came out from the portal.
You will immediately hear some echoes of voices in the audience, there were those who wondered where he had come from, who he was, where the dragon in the movie was and things like that but now I had to concentrate on bringing the entertainment.
"Next i activate Performapal skullcrobat joker ability! When he is normal summoned i can add 1 "Performapal" monster, "Magician" Pendulum monster, or "Odd-Eyes" monster from my deck to my hand." I said when a card come out from my deck.
"I choose to add my ace monster." I said taking Odd-eyes Pendulum Dragon.
"Then I place 2 cards face down and pass to you." I said when the cards appear on the field and dissapear immediatly.
Other murmurs started after the cards were placed, like because I wasn't doing anything or because I called that person when I said I was going alone and stuff.
Then I looked at my opponents who were laughing.
"What's up?" I asked confused.
"You said you were going to face us alone and instead you called a clown to help you because you were afraid." Cardin said.
Performapal skullcrobat joker when he heard being called a clown he didn't take it well and I swore I heard him mutter something. I walked over to him and put a hand on his shoulder telling him to leave them alone as they will make a bad impression. Hearing it he gave me a thumbs up and calmed down, then went back to looking at my opponents who had finished laughing.
Let's knock this clown out," Cardin said as he ran towards me along with his team.
I looked at my performap for a moment and he motioned me to follow him as he jumped across the platforms.
I nodded and followed him guiding me to an action card that I added to my hand.
Cardin was annoyed that I dodged their joint attack that I could see the hatred in his eyes.
"You're becoming a nuisance, stop running and accept your defeat as the worm you are." he said.
But I remained calm and drew another card.
"Come on, wouldn't it be nice if the show ended so early, otherwise what's the point?"
I looked at the card I had drawn and smiled, looking at the audience again.
"Now! Let's move on to the next artist." I said placing the paper on the blade.
"I summon Double Iris Magician!" another portal appeared and from this came a person with a sword in his hand and a suit representing the odd-eyed Pendulum dragon. The bizarre thing though is that this monster had almost the same face as Ren except for a red lock of hair and eye colors.
From the asphalt I could see Ren who was looking at the monster with white spheres instead of the eyes, while the others asked him if it was his brother or some of his relatives while denying everything, I smiled at this scene and pointed to my new monster to look where I was pointing the finger. When he did he too was surprised to find his double looking at him but then greeted him as he smiled while Ren still looked a bit confused as he greeted him too.
I heard a sudden roar from my duel disk on the side where the extra deck was, and then having a vision of the monster telling me to use it I smiled and then turned back to the audience.
"Look everyone! Right now on my field I have 2 monsters with the same level, surely many of you are wondering what I'm talking about, so let me tell you that I need your help arriving to summon a monster that will help bring the rebellion of all those targeted by Cardin and his companions towards their bullying. " I said as I tried to remember the evocation chant.
Many were heard cheering, others screaming with joy and many smiles on their faces, especially for the fauns.
"Good! For your help I need you to say this word with me." I said exciting the audience.
"XYZ, XYZ, XYZ, XYZ…" I said the word repeating it to everyone.
Soon everyone communicated to pronounce the method of evocation in chorus while I was smiling.
"Let the counterattack begin!" I said referring to a famous phrase of Yuya during the duels.
Meanwhile, the audience went mad with happiness.
"I overlay Performapal Skullcrobat joker and Double Iris Magician to build the overlay network!" I said as the two monsters turned into two purple spheres that flew into the sky which then entered a black hole that had opened on the ground.
"Cloaked in shadows and relentless in its objective, I call upon the most dangerous of dragons! I XYZ summon! Dark Rebellion XYZ Dragon!"
From the black hole came the second of the 4 dimensional dragons, in all its power.
The CRDL team was starting to shake from the sight of the dragon so much that one took it upon himself.
From a high point in the arena Ozpin was watching me with interest not taking his eyes off me while Goodwitch was gaping, surely because he was no longer understanding how I had done such a thing.
"Heaven! Tomato sure knows how to leave people speechless, later I'll ask him to fight me." Yang said.
"That dragon scares me but he's cool too." Jaune said.
"How can someone like him do these things? It is logically impossible to pull a dragon out of thin air and control it, and then where did the other go and why didn't he do the heaven thing during initiation?" Weiss said.
"That dragon is fantastic but I liked the other one more, this one is not cute, what do you think Blake?" Ruby asked.
"What?" Blake asked as she held the scroll that was recording the whole scene.
She wasn't the only one doing it too many other students were doing the same thing.
"Hey ... I guess we've been letting ourselves go a lot here, what do you say if we end up with a draw?" Cardin said with the sweat on his forehead.
I couldn't believe it, one of my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh monsters was here and I was going to use it, now I understood how Yuto and Yuya felt when they summoned it, a really good feeling.
"Come on Cardin, don't you feel like closing the show with this latest action?" I asked using sarcasm.
Then I jumped back on dark rebellion xyz dragon.
"Watch everyone, now my dragon will show you what he can do." I said addressing the audience.
"Using a Dark Rebellion xyz Dragon overlay unit he can cut his opponent's strength in half and gain that half." I said as the dragon absorbed one of the two units by spreading its wings thus discharging lightning bolts that imprisoned Cardin while dark rebellion lit up with a purple light roaring.
"You are the next Russel!" I said as Dark Rebellion used the other unit doing the same thing as Cardin.
Then I looked at the card I had collected earlier.
"I promised that I would not use them but only this time I will make an exception." I told myself in my mind.
"And to round off our active show the illusory fire action card to make sure my monster can attack all four of you at once.
The eyes of dark rebellion flashed for a moment before roaring again.
"Okay, now attack them directly with Mauling Mandible Charge!" I commanded.
Dark Rebelion opened its wings which illuminated the purple spheres above her, which then opened her wings which were covered in a blue glow between them, and then her jaw was engulfed in electricity. In doing so she threw herself first on the two targets that were still trapped by the electricity who were knocked down like pins and then on the two who were running away who were caught up and then sent ashore for the arena.
Then we went ashore and I made a somersault forward thus descending from rebellion and kneeling in front of everyone.
"I hope you enjoyed the show!" I said then smiling looking at the audience.
There was silence for a second, when then everyone started clapping, shouting with joy, whistling, etc ...
So this was the feeling Yuya got when he made people happy, it's really nice and comforting, and I swear I'll make it even better in his honor.
Then I turned around behind Dark Rebellion who had remained behind me, and put a hand on his head, stroking him.
"Thanks for your help, you can go now." I told him.
"Get stronger and maybe you will be worthy to use me again." I heard.
At that sentence my eyes turned into two white spheres as everything returned to normal and the dimensional dragon exploded into particles of light. This was really unexpected, it seems like now I can hear my monsters, well now I will have to worry about this if they ever catch me talking to the cards but at least it means they are learning to trust me.
The next few days that followed after the beat down of Team CRDL, everyone would have liked to have said that Cardin had stopped messing with other students, but sadly, that was not entirely true. In reality, Cardin only made sure to be on his best behavior whenever he knew that i was around, and if they showed up while he was about to start something, he quickly tried to find a way to play it off as just some simple joke or "act of kindness." It was pretty safe to say that Cardin and his boys were all very much afraid of me and my pals that had beaten them so soundly,
But luckily the spirits of my monsters helped me by following the team and telling me when they are up to one of theirs, so as to intervene and thwart any bullying of theirs, one of those times I even had to use Odd-eyes Pendulum Dragon to stop a act them and let me tell you they are going to be traumatized for a while. Then all the lessons resumed normally, and then the Jaune and Pyrrha scene also took place so I could still feel comfortable.
Wandering through the forest of Forever Fall, I had to admit, I was quickly captivated by it's beauty. Maple leaves hung elegantly from the innumerable branches, and the bark on the trunk was knotted and burled, sap had crystallized into streaks spiderwebbing down the various crevices of the tree, giving an appearance that someone had elegantly handcrafted the entire setting. Professor Goodwitch led teams RWBY, JNPR, CRDL, and myself through the trees.
"Yes, the forest of Forever Fall is indeed beautiful. But we are not here to sightsee. Professor Peach has asked all of you to collect samples from the trees deep inside this forest, and I'm here to make sure none of you die while doing so."
If all we were doing was collecting samples from the trees, then compared to my previous outings, this would be a simple walk in the park. But I knew better to complain: quite frankly, I could do with a trip to a forest that didn't involve a Creature of Grimm wanting to tear my head and spine off and lick it like a lollipop. Looking back to Professor Goodwitch, she had pulled out a jar filled to the brim with a watery red liquid, which sloshed about as she showed it to us.
"Each of you is to gather one jar's worth of red sap. However, this forest is full of the creatures of Grimm, so be sure to stay by your teammates. We will rendezvous back here by 4 o'clock. Have fun!"
Well this is something that i call normal, and i didn't have to worry of Cardin even if i know that i am the target but i trust Jaune and i know he will do the right chooise. It didn't take to much time to happen the part of this episode and everything is went for the best, now Jaune know that he can do it.
At the end of the day I went back to my dorm thinking about what had happened and I have to say that I was happy, so I put my duel disk and deck on the desk to go to bed when I noticed a card nearby. It wasn't mine I was sure but then whose was it? I turned the card over to see what it was and when I did it for a moment I was surprised and then I was happy, this card was one that only existed in the anime and that unfortunately did not exist in reality, so it means that now I can also use cards anime? It was great and also now I had the deck to fix again but I would have been happy to do it.
Ehy guys! It's me! Sorry if this story is taking to much to be write, but the fact is that i'm writting other strories on Wattpad with the nickname of Roxasfan58. And so for this problem i'm forgetting about this story. So i want to ask you if you have a soluction to this problem because i rellay love it. So please tell me, should i delect this story or maybe i can move it on Wattpad?
