"Ah I told you, they're going to start interrogating me," Skye said.

"Why you and not us?" Mary asked, smiling at the writers as the car descended again.

"Because I've been taking care of a lot," Skye said, laughing with their friends when her wife rolled her eyes. "But don't worry," she told the two when they were getting close to the lobby. "You'll enjoy dinner."

Before either she or Castle could say anything in response they were stopping and Beckett took her husband's hand before they were following the McDouglas women to the valet outside. She was staring outside as Skye was driving them to the nearby Gaslamp District before they were at a valet parking lot and getting out.

"We're not too far from the restaurant," Skye was saying to Castle and Beckett once they'd made it to the sidewalk. "Do you mind eating a little early?"

"Not really," Beckett said when her husband looked at her. "And I know you want us to get to sleep early too."

"Great, but if you see any stores let us know and we'll come back to it," Skye said. "That includes you too grá," she then directed to her wife.

"Thank you," Mary said in amusement before they began to walk. Since she was aware of the restaurant she was leading the way, not taking long before they were reaching it.

"The Melting Pot," Castle read. "Fondue," he then stated before his wife was speaking a little quickly.

"That's fine," Beckett said to the women.

"Oh I was just saying that in surprise," Castle explained. "I wasn't expecting it."

"Great, because you guys would have been on your own if you hadn't wanted to come here," Skye said jokingly before they were walking inside. She had made the reservation and they were taken quickly to a booth on the second floor after she gave her name. When they were settled she asked the two across from them, "Are you going to get a drink?"

"I'd like to," Beckett said, smiling when her husband looked at her in obvious surprise.

"Since we're going to Sea World tomorrow?" Castle asked her. At her nod he squeezed her hand before he asked, "What's good?" directing that to the women across from them.

"Blueberry-" Skye and Mary said at the same time before they stopped themselves and looked at each other. They laughed briefly with the writers before Skye said, "The Blueberry Lemon Drop Martini. Really delicious."

"Are you drinking?" Beckett asked with a slight frown.

Shaking her head Skye answered saying, "I'll probably take a sip of Mary's, they have a non-alcoholic drink that's as good, The Bee's Tea."

"Déjà vu?" Castle asked.

"Essentially," Skye said before they were laughing again. When they stopped she and her wife advised the writers on what they should order and she was doing so when the waitress arrived at their table, along with their drinks. When they were alone again she wasn't surprised when Castle was talking about the next day.

"You two are going to eat with us tomorrow night at our suite right?" he said.

"Of course," Skye said.

"If you two are sure you want us to go," Mary added.

"We wouldn't have asked," Beckett said simply.

"Great," Skye replied. "Should I bring up Wednesday?" she then asked.

"What time we're going to leave?" Beckett asked.

"She and I were talking about breakfast and we'd kind of like to grab something on the way to Old Town," Mary said.

Before Castle or Beckett could respond to that, their waitress brought their drinks and he said, "To Sea World."

"Sláinte," Skye said laughingly once they'd tapped their glasses and drank. "That was a weird toast."

"I felt like it needed to be said," Castle said, putting down his martini glass. "You both have been looking forward to this."

"And you two haven't?" Mary asked.

"I have," Beckett said, looking at her husband.

"I feel like it was more the two of you," Castle said.

"Nostalgia," Mary said. She smiled a little and then said, "You two are lucky. To still have a parent."

"Does that bother you at all?" Castle asked.

"No but going to places like this…" Mary started to say before she shrugged. "Sorry, I didn't mean to bring that up."

"Her parents loved San Diego," Skye explained, taking her wife's hand. She squeezed at it before she said, "So did my da but we're happy remembering too if you're worried."

"We thought you might be," Castle said before looking at his wife.

"I know how you both feel," Beckett said. She then took her husband's hand and squeezed at it tightly before she told him, "Don't worry."

"I wasn't," Castle said. "But… I hate to say it but we're kind of being a little…"

"Blue?" Skye suggested. She smiled when her wife pretended to put her face into her hands and then said, "I hope everyone at home was alright."

"Yes," Castle said rapidly. He smiled when the McDouglas women looked surprised before their waitress was approaching with their fondue and items to dip in. Though the two had been there before, they allowed the waitress explain to himself and Beckett what to do with regards to keeping the cheese melted.

"Okay," Skye eventually said when they were alone and she was making sure the cheese was ready. "Go ahead you two."

Picking up their forks, Castle and Beckett chose their meat and began dipping into the cheese, eating as the McDouglas women were getting their meats next.

"One thing I'm grateful for," Castle eventually said when he ended up dropping his piece of potato. He then turned to his wife and kissed her cheek before he continued what he was saying telling them, "We have a booth."

Beckett smiled while the women across from them were laughing before she said, "So am I," not surprised Skye was commenting swiftly.

"Yeah, sitting at an open table would have been… awkward," the investigator said. She then glanced over at the plate they'd been eating from and said, "Well… I'm glad we could split that."

"Does dessert come with this?" Castle asked.

"Yeah, I couldn't avoid it," Skye told Beckett.

"Why are you telling me that?" she asked in amusement.

"According to him I need to make sure concerning dessert," Skye replied, nodding to her friend's husband.

"I didn't say anything," Castle said in a rush when his wife was looking at him.

"He didn't, but observing you I picked it up," Skye said.

"You observe too much," Castle said in a mock complaining tone. He was about to say more when they heard music and they looked downstairs. "They have a band?" he asked.

"I think so," Skye replied. "I didn't see anything." She saw a couple that was sitting across their section where the stairs were had gotten up to dance and said, "Well, I like this idea," before she was standing up and reaching for her wife's hand.

Watching the two coming together near their table and swaying, Castle looked at his wife and said, "Should I ask?"

"You did," Beckett said with a smile, squeezing his hand firmly before they were moving together to slide off the seat. As soon as they were standing next to their table his arms were wrapping around her and she moved to do the same to him before they began to sway. Her cheek pressed to her husband's she closed her eyes for a moment, a smile on her face before he was murmuring to her.

"Can we do this on Tuesday?" Castle asked her. He tried not to shudder hard in his delight at her whisper of the word yes in his ear, merely clutching her a little harder to him before the song downstairs was ending. He clapped with the others on the second floor who were applauding and they were soon returning to their table.

"That was very nice," Skye said, she and Mary joining the writers.

"Did you order dessert?" Castle asked since they'd seen both women talking to their waitress.

"And signed an autograph," Mary said, smiling at her wife.

"What happened?" Beckett asked as Skye's cheeks flushed lightly.

"She said she loved my outfit," the investigator answered.

"She wasn't flirting," Mary said firmly when the writers turned to her in response to those words before Beckett was speaking first.

"Then why are you so amused?" she asked.

"Oh, because my wife was clutching at my hand hard while she was talking to us," Mary explained.

"Just in case," Skye said, glancing at her wife before she looked back across the table. "But back to the dessert, I ordered the chocolate raspberry. I hope you don't mind."

"I don't," Castle said first, his wife nodding in agreement. "What comes with it?"

"Fruits, a few sweets," Skye said before their waitress was coming over with the pot of chocolate and plate of desserts.

After they'd divided everything they discussed their conversations with their families, talking about what they'd heard from home while they were winding down their meal.

"Finished?" Skye asked, watching Mary turning off the light in the bathroom.

"I am," she replied. "Why?"

"Not that," Skye said. "I wanted to talk with you for a while," she said.

"It sounds serious," Mary teased her, taking off her robe and setting it on an armchair that was near her side of the bed.

"No, are you alright," Skye said. "Because I worry-" she then began to explain before her wife was interrupting while she sat on the bed next to her.

"I'm fine," Mary said firmly. "I shouldn't have brought that up honestly but it gets hard not to while we're here."

Embracing her wife as tightly as she could, Skye said, "I just wanted to make sure."

Nodding while they were letting each other go Mary replied, "To be honest I was expecting it." She then noticed the TV was on, but muted, and she said, "You were watching something?"

"Not really," Skye answered. "There isn't anything on I wanted to remember."

"Remember?" Mary asked laughingly, watching her wife as she froze in turning the TV off.

"I meant watch," Skye said, making a face. She was soon smiling when her wife was kissing her cheek and she said, "I was just recalling while I was sitting here."

"Recalling what?" Mary asked.

"When we were here the first time together," Skye answered easily.

"Oh… are you sure you want to do that? You remember what we did that first day," Mary replied.

"I know," Skye said. "And while I briefly thought of that, I was focused on more what we did outside our hotel room."

"Can I say one thing about that day though?" Mary asked.

"Depends," Skye replied, unable to keep the smile off her face. "If it's going to affect us at all."

"It won't," Mary said. "I'm just glad you were more relaxed by then."

"Yeah," Skye said, frowning slightly. "It didn't take that long for you to do that to me."

"So it's my fault?" Mary teased her wife. She laughed briefly when her wife was frowning at her and said, "I wanted you to realize your sexuality."

"And you helped me with that," Skye replied, leaning into her wife. They were kissing gently before they parted and said, "The next day though."

"Yes," Mary said, aware they did need to change the subject. "It was Old Town wasn't it?"

"It was," Skye said. "But I still don't understand why I had to lead then." She paused and said, "Your parents?"

"Yeah," Mary said gently since they'd gone five months after her parents had passed away. She covered her wife's mouth gently with her fingertips and said, "I was okay with going," since she had insisted on the trip. She wasn't surprised when her wife was taking her hand and moving it after kissing at her, speaking soon after.

"I believed you then," Skye said. "It just surprised me you picked San Diego at the time."

Smiling a little Mary said, "It was close and I wanted to start sharing it with you." She wrapped her arms around her wife and murmured, "It was about that time I started thinking of spending the rest of my life with you."

"I feel like I should apologize for that," Skye told her since they'd discussed her wife being uncertain if she herself had been ready for marriage yet.

"You have," Mary said. "And things worked out. But after that trip and everything you did for me…"

"Are you thinking about the first day again?" Skye asked her in amusement, watching her wife after she had trailed off.

"It's hard not to," Mary confessed. She then shook her head and said, "I was happy you led the way through Old Town."

"I was surprised you'd never gone to the McCoy House," Skye teased her. She laughed when her wife gave her a look and then said, "I was really glad you wanted to go to Sea World."

"I was too once I saw how you were there," Mary replied. She sighed and then said, "Which means we need to go to sleep."

"It's not that late," Skye said, looking at her phone. "Oh, Kate sent me a picture."

"Of what?" Mary said.

"Of us, while we were dancing," Skye said in surprise before her wife was taking her phone as she spoke at the same time.

"When did she take that? I remember seeing them dancing too," Mary said.

"I think they got up after we did," Skye said. "She's a good photographer." She took her phone back and texted her friend, thanking her for the picture. After she'd put her phone back on her nightstand she was startled when her wife was grabbing her and pulling her to her for a kiss. "Mary-" she started to say with a gasp when she had pulled away.

"Please," Mary interrupted before she was overjoyed when her wife was kissing her. They held onto each other tightly before they were slowly parting to catch their breath and she said with a smile, "I needed that."

"So did I," Skye replied, nuzzling at her wife's shoulder that was exposed by her pajama top.

"Why are we doing this grá?" Mary asked her.

"Imagine how it'll be Tuesday," Skye answered.

"We're not doing this again," Mary commented.

"Oh no," Skye agreed before they were laughing. She then looked at the time on the clock on her nightstand she said, "Now we need to get some sleep."

"I figured," Mary said getting up to turn off the main light in the room. Once it was off she went back to the bed and sat, reaching for her wife to gently run her fingers through her hair.

"I'm not putting my glasses back on," Skye told her.

Shaking her head Mary said, "One more," smiling when her wife was laughing before she leaned into her as the investigator murmured to her.

"I hope you're serious," Skye said. She wasn't surprised when her wife wasn't responding to that, only kissing her deeply while she pushed her back. "Wait, grá," she breathed when her wife moved eventually to her collarbone that was exposed.

Groaning in frustration, Mary told her, "I hate this."

"It's only one more day," Skye reassured her.

"You too?" Mary asked, unable to help smiling at her wife's tone. She wasn't surprised when she nodded and they kissed tenderly before she moved to turn off her nightstand light while Skye did the same.

"Love you Mary," the investigator said once they were laying down together.

"I love you Skye," she replied and they kissed once more.

"I have to warn you-" Skye started to say before her wife was interrupting her.

"If you're going to mention dreams, I'll be doing the same," Mary said.

"Oh good," Skye replied before they were laughing. She became serious and told her, "Not much longer."

"No," Mary said, knowing her wife was delaying a little. She wasn't sure if it was deliberate or not but told her, "Goodnight grá."

"Night," Skye replied. She felt her wife pressing a little closer to her and held her against her side before she closed her eyes. She wasn't sure if one of them fell asleep first or if they did at the same time, only aware of her dreams of their second morning their first trip together in San Diego.

"Morning," Mary said, smiling down at her girlfriend.

Blinking a little furiously at first, Skye said, "Morning," before the doctor was responding and still smiling.

"It is morning," Mary said. "I can open the curtains if you want me to."

"No, I believe you," Skye said, rubbing her hands over her face. She sighed and said, "You're not exhausted?"

"Not really," Mary replied. She leaned over and brushed her lips to her girlfriend's and said, "Though… how're you feeling right now?"

Skye froze before she said, "I would like to feel very good right now."

"On your own?" Mary asked, crying out when the investigator grabbed her and flipped her onto her back. She was about to protest the position when Skye was kissing her deeply and she found she didn't want to anymore.

"Is this good?" Skye asked hopefully. She gasped briefly when her girlfriend was pulling her down for a kiss but recovered as quickly as she could to respond. She was parting her lips to Mary's tongue sweeping across them and though she had to push herself to think of something other than that kiss, she was parting her legs as well.

Breaking away from the kiss, Mary was gasping at the feel of her wife's sex pressing against hers and she breathed, "You're so wet grá."

Trembling momentarily at her girlfriend's endearment they'd just started to use for one another, Skye managed to say, "So are you."

"Start Skye, please," Mary replied, doing her best to shift. She was moaning when her girlfriend was doing so and she raced to meet her rhythm she soon had.

Breathing heavily in her efforts, Skye felt nothing but the utmost joy before they were orgasming together. Clutching tightly to the bed, she was faintly aware of how Mary was holding her, losing that in her climax until she was stilling and nearly falling onto her. "Mary?" she breathed when they were both calmer.

"Hmm," the doctor said.

"Can we do this again?" Skye asked.

"Now?" Mary said, raising her head a little.

"No," Skye said, getting off her. "I was serious about going out."

"Oh," Mary said while she sat up before fixing her hair, attempting to smooth it down. She smiled at her girlfriend and said, "I'd like to myself," not surprised when Skye was kissing her hungrily. When they parted she was about to tease her about that kiss, but the investigator was speaking first.

"I couldn't help myself," Skye said, trying to be serious though she was smiling shortly after.

Brushing her lips to her girlfriend's Mary assured her saying, "Neither can I." They gazed at each other for a little before she sighed and said, "We better get out of bed."

"I know," Skye said. She leaned into her and they kissed briefly before she said, "We'll have tonight." She wasn't surprised when Mary nodded in agreement before they were getting off the bed and moving to get ready. Once they were both dressed and at the door of their room she asked, "Old Town?"

"Please," Mary replied, smiling when her girlfriend laughed before they were walking out. They stopped at a coffee shop on the way and ate their pastries quickly in their rental once at Old Town, getting out when they were done and walking to the street across from the park. "Remember what I told you," she then said to her girlfriend as they were waiting.

"I still don't know why I have to lead," Skye said.

"I want to see how you go around," Mary responded firmly.

Sighing, Skye said, "As long as that's what you want." She wasn't surprised when the doctor nodded and then told her, "Okay, hopefully you don't mind," as they were crossing.

"That house?" Mary asked when Skye was pulling her to the left instead of towards the park on the right.

"You've been?" the investigator asked. "Also, you're complaining already?"

Mary couldn't help laughing at her girlfriend's exaggerated tone of voice at the end and she said quickly, "I haven't and I'm not."

"Alright, then I guess I should be glad that I'm leading," Skye said. She was surprised when her girlfriend leaned into her, laughing, and she pulled her down the path to the house standing solitary surrounded by foliage while she was smiling widely in anticipation for that day.

"I still don't like the idea," Castle told his wife.

"You heard what they both said," Beckett replied, smiling in amusement at his feigned petulant tone. "We'll be doing a lot of walking." She saw the way her husband shrugged and said, "Then why bring it up?" startled when he obviously hesitated before he answered her.

"I'd like to split up, like we did at the zoo," Castle explained.

"I have no problem with that," Beckett said. She cupped her husband's cheek with her hand and told him, "I know what you want to do love, and as long as we're relatively alone we can." She smiled at him when he drew in a breath to speak and told him, "For a little."

"As much as I'm looking forward to tomorrow…" Castle started to say before he trailed off. He wasn't surprised when his wife squeezed at his hand and said, "But I appreciate that little you've given me," watching her push back from the mattress. He wasn't surprised when she didn't respond to that, merely removing her robe. He looked back at the screen of his phone but realized he didn't really want to look at it anymore before he was leaning over to put it onto his nightstand. Once he sat up again he was startled when something dropped onto his leg and he said, "You're…"

"If you don't mind doing that for me?" Beckett asked him with a smile before she climbed onto the bed.

"Not really," Castle said swiftly as he was picking up her brush. He waited for her to get closer to him and said, "Can I ask why you you're asking me to do this again?"

"Do I need a reason?" Beckett replied with a smile.

"No, just curious," Castle said quickly before he was starting to brush at her hair. "Are you tired at all?" he eventually asked.

"A little," Beckett said in amusement. "I hope you are."

"I am," Castle replied reassuringly. "I'm looking forward to the rides," he said, not surprised when she was laughing briefly before she responded.

"I am too, the way Skye was talking about them… they'll be fun," Beckett said, moving away from him since he'd stopped. She took her brush and said, "I feel bad for Mary," at the same time her husband was.

"She doesn't seem to mind," Castle said slowly. "Though when Mary and I were waiting for you guys she did say she was glad we would be going with her."

Nodding, Beckett said, "And that reminds me…"

Castle watched her in surprise as his wife was picking up her phone and he looked on while she was on it. "You-" he started to say before she was giving it to him.

"I took that before you asked me to dance," Beckett told him.

Nodding, looking at the picture, Castle said, "You don't think they reciprocated do you?"

"Highly unlikely," Beckett replied, taking her phone and putting it back where it'd been before.

While he watched her making her way to her bathroom he called, "Do you mind taking some selfies?"

"No," Beckett said, walking back shortly after she'd put her brush away. "But don't try and take one in front of everything."

Castle was about to speak when he paused and said, "Right. But what about your pictures?"

Smiling at her husband quickly figuring out what she meant, Beckett said, "That I'll leave up to them."

"Okay," Castle said before he raised the covers for her when she was on her side of the bed again. When she was sliding next to him he said, "We're going to sleep," not surprised when she responded immediately.

"We don't need to right now," Beckett said. She cried out when he was pulling her suddenly onto his lap and she said, "Be careful love."

Shaking his head Castle said, "Don't worry, I was only intending to do this."

"I hope so," Beckett told him teasingly while she was wrapping her arms around his neck. She kissed his cheek and then leaned against him before she said, "But…"

"I'll be fine," Castle said firmly.

Beckett smiled and pressed her forehead to his temple and said, "I'll hold you to that."

Turning his head, Castle kissed her lightly before he said, "What would you like to do now?" He wasn't surprised when she was giving him a look and said, "Not that. Either we're going to talk or we're going to sleep."

"What is it?" Beckett asked him.

"I can't really hide things from you," Castle stated.

"Is that a bad thing?" Beckett asked in amusement. She laughed when her husband nodded a few times before he was shaking his head. She kissed the side of his head and told him, "What is it, seriously Rick."

"Next year," Castle said. He wasn't surprised when she looked a little confused and he was quick to tell her, "Valentine's Day."

"You want to plan that already?" Beckett asked laughingly.

"Yes," Castle replied immediately. When she then looked surprised he said, "We said we'd alternate with Vegas right?"

"Right but… fully planning?" Beckett said doubtfully.

"Not fully," Castle explained. "But any ideas of where else we can go?"

"It might have to be the usual," Beckett replied. She studied him and asked, "Do you have something in mind."

"Red Rock Canyon?" Castle asked.

"We've talked about that," Beckett reminded him.

"I'd like to say for sure," Castle explained. He wasn't surprised when his wife nodded and said, "So at least we have one thing set."

"Two," Beckett replied in amusement. When he nodded she couldn't help laughing and said, "I think that's enough planning."

"It is," Castle said, nodding again. He then embraced her a little tighter and said, "That's all I'll say about next year."

"Are you sure?" Beckett said brushing some of his hair off his forehead.

"Very," Castle said before he was pulling her down to him for a kiss. They were doing so briefly before he pulled away first and told her, "You might need to move."

"I told you," Beckett said, pretending to be annoyed as she slid off of his lap. She then told him while she settled next to him, "Tuesday."

"You can ask," Castle said.

Smirking at him Beckett told him, "That's all I'm going to say."

"Vixen," Castle said before he leaned into her. He captured her lips with his own and was kissing her deeply as she responded. With that encouragement he was shortly after brushing his tongue against her lower lip before she parted both to him.

Moaning gently against her husband's mouth, Beckett was clutching at him before his hands were sliding underneath her shirt. Jerking back slightly she told him, "Wait, we can't," as he kissed once at her neck.

Groaning against her collarbone, Castle said, "Should we just stay in tomorrow?"

"No," Beckett replied with a smile. She brushed her lips to his and told him, "Come on, we better get some sleep."

Sighing, since he was aware she was right, Castle reluctantly let her go before they were moving to straighten their pajamas and he took off his glasses. Pausing he put them back on and moved to get her attention, kissing her quickly before he pulled away and said, "I couldn't resist."

"I'm not surprised," Beckett said. "And before you ask, no I'm not mad."

"Good," Castle said, leaning into her and kissing her tenderly. He lingered a little but he was finally pulling away and he told her as he pressed his forehead to hers, "I love you Kate."

Smiling, Beckett moved to brush her lips lightly to her husband's before she said, "I love you too Rick." She took his kiss he immediately gave her and she responded, trembling a little at how sensuous it was. When he pulled away from her carefully after what felt like a short time she murmured, "We should…"

"I know," Castle said. He sighed and then said, "I am not happy."

"Only one more day love," Beckett said, unable to help smiling since she knew he wasn't really annoyed. She kissed his cheek before he let her go and they turned their attention to turning off the lights and in her husband's case taking off his glasses as well. Once they were laying down she was pressed against his side and she said, "Do you remember the first time we had to be celibate?"

"I do," Castle replied. He couldn't help smiling momentarily and then said, "That's the difference though."

"I wanted to point it out," Beckett said before she laughed briefly when her husband was lightly pinching her side. "But we did get through it."

"I think you mean you did," Castle said. "I wasn't going to force you to do anything, not then." He wasn't surprised when she nodded briefly and he said, "I feel like there's more to it though." Something suddenly hit him and he said in slight concern, "You're not tired of me being frustrated are you?"

Beckett frowned for a moment and then said, "Why would I be?" She felt her husband shrugging and smiled, turning to press a kiss through his shirt to his shoulder before she said, "No, I realized something later that night when we went to bed."

"And… you don't want to share it with me?" Castle asked.

"You're lucky I realized it," Beckett said. "It was the fact that I didn't mind being cosseted the way you did for me that day."

"I needed to," Castle said firmly. "After what you told me when I got to your place." He moved to press a kiss to her hairline and then said, "And I'll behave tomorrow."

Laughing outright Beckett said, "You don't have to, just take it easy like I'll be."

"I've mentioned I adore you right?" Castle said, hugging her a little tighter before she was responding.

"You have, I feel the same about you. Sheik," Beckett told him.

"Goddess," Castle told her sincerely before he was kissing her. Since they were in the dark and under the covers fully he made it brief and they were settling back down. "Night love," he told her.

"Goodnight," Beckett replied, smiling. She cuddled a little closer to her husband while she was closing her eyes. She fell asleep shortly after, surprised she did so since she hadn't been unaffected by Castle. What didn't startle her was her dream, of the day she had mentioned to her husband when they had just been starting out their relationship, the summer of her suspension.

"I hope you don't mind me coming over unannounced," Castle commented.

Smiling, Beckett couldn't help teasing him as he walked past her to enter her apartment saying, "When has that ever concerned you?"

"Touché," Castle replied. "But I hope you didn't have anything planned," he told her. He was startled when his girlfriend was obviously hesitated and he asked in concern, "What's wrong."

"I don't know if you came here expecting us to have sex at some point," Beckett said, deciding she needed to be honest with him. "But I have to warn you I'm on my period right now and-" she began, stepping back in surprise when her boyfriend was striding up to her and taking her hands.

"Are you alright?" Castle asked her.

"Yes," Beckett said slowly.

Not surprised she was furrowing her brow Castle told her, "I know you're at the start and that's not the best time," relieved she was nodding before she responded to him.

"It's not, but I've taken some aspirin so I'm better than I was," Beckett said. She wasn't surprised when he was stepping up to her and brushing her lips with his own before telling him, "If you want to go-"

"Why would I want to do that?" Castle asked. When he saw her hesitation he said in slight annoyance, "I honestly didn't come here for that reason Kate. I came to see you, whatever we ended up doing we'd decide on together." He studied her and asked, "You honestly thought that was what I wanted."

"I wasn't sure," Beckett replied. She was relieved when he was embracing her as soon as she had spoken and she wrapped her arms around him tightly before she said, "Though I'm not sure what you want to do." When he pulled back to look at her she said, "I didn't think I'd be leaving my apartment."

Nodding, since he recalled she was wearing sweats, a t-shirt and a long, thin cardigan, Castle said, "Then we won't." He kissed her when a frown appeared on her face before he told her after leaning back, "Want to make a movie day out of it?"

Smiling at his wording, Beckett echoed, "Out of it?"

"Yeah," Castle said. He himself began smiling while she laughed and he held her tightly to him for a moment before he said, "Your choice though."

"Alright," Beckett said, looking around them for a moment.

"What were you planning on doing?" Castle asked.

"Read," Beckett said. "I nearly decided on movies but I haven't read in ages and I'm behind."

"We can do that," Castle said. "If you don't mind reading aloud," he added, hoping she wouldn't.

"I don't," Beckett said before they were letting each other go. She let him take her hand and followed him to her couch where her book was waiting on the coffee table. "Sorry it's not yours," she told him.

"I'll give you a copy in two months," Castle assured her. "Non-fiction?" he asked since it was about the six wives of King Henry VIII.

"You know my mother loved Tudor history," Beckett said with a smile when her boyfriend rapidly nodded. They moved to sit together on the couch with her stretching her legs out as he held her to his side. They proceeded to take turns reading and would continue to do that until they stopped for lunch.

The rest of the day was passed with reading before they stopped around mid-afternoon and indulged in binging her collection of Mel Brooks' movies as Beckett would become a little uncomfortable with cramps. Castle was quick to care for her and made sure she was distracted with a dinner on the couch of Chinese food and her favorite movies of the director's, The Producers and Young Frankenstein.

"I know you think I'm weird," Beckett said jokingly when her boyfriend was stopping the latter movie at the end.

"Why?" Castle asked in confusion.

"I like this movie better than Blazing Saddles," Beckett replied.

"Oh no," Castle said. "That definitely seems more like a movie you'd love." When she nodded he asked, "Do you want to watch something else or get some sleep?"

"I think sleep," Beckett said with a slight smile. "I woke up earlier than I wanted to."

"I'm fine with that," Castle said seriously, not surprised she was laughing and moving up to him while she spoke at the same time.

"I'm surprised, I thought you'd want to stay up longer," Beckett said. She was a little concerned when he merely shrugged and said, "Come on," before she was taking his hand. Since they were already dressed for bed, they only needed to brush their teeth before they were climbing onto the mattress. She moved immediately to press against his side saying, "Thank you for today."

"It wasn't a problem," Castle said. "I enjoyed it."

"Me too," Beckett replied. She then raised her head and kissed him gently before pulling back and saying, "We can go out tomorrow."

"I think I'd like to stay in," Castle said after a brief pause. "As long as you're here too."

"Let me see how I feel," Beckett replied. She laughed when her boyfriend was nodding his head a little awkwardly and they shared a tender kiss before she pulled away from him slowly. "Goodnight," she murmured to him.

"Night," Castle replied in the same tone before he was holding her against him while she laid down again.

Settled against her boyfriend's side, Beckett bit her lower lip for a moment thinking of how considerate he'd been of her. Realizing she hadn't resisted that she tried not to think of how deep her feelings were for Castle and the joy she'd had in just being with him. Instead she focused on that moment and how his arms felt wrapped around her as she closed her eyes to sleep enveloped in his embrace.
