I do not own…

Anna lit up a cigarette as she leaned against a rail of the pier. She watched as everyone passed her by on the boardwalk. It's been years since she visited Santa Clara. The only reason she was visiting now was because of her family. Her father was a cheating bastard and her mother finally divorced him. This led her mother to move in with grandpa, who lives in Santa Clara, with her two brothers. Anna, who is the oldest of her siblings, lives in Los Angeles and had decided to visit them just to see how her mom was doing. The only thing was, she arrived a day earlier than her family. So now here she was on the boardwalk by herself. She had already settled at her grandpa's house and decided to check out the place. It was just like how she remembered.

She had already been on every ride but the carousel. Seeing how late it was getting she decided that it would be her last ride for tonight. Once she was done with her cigarette she crushed it with her boot and got on the ride. She smiled as she remembered how she used to love this ride. Anna hopped on one of the horses that's for adults and waited for the ride to start. As it did she saw four biker-looking guys hopping the ride and just walked about. She didn't know who they were but she had a feeling they were trouble.

After a few minutes she heard a commotion behind her. Looking back she saw the same guys starting a fight with another gang on the carousel. When the wind blew, Annas' hair blew back a bit and the man with platinum hair and wore all black in the middle of summer stopped for a moment. It looked like he was smelling something before he looked her way. He smirked and was about to walk her way until a security guard placed him in a choke with his nightstick.

"I thought that I told you guys to stay off the boardwalk." The security guard scolded

"Okay, boys. Let's go." Platinum man said

Once the security guard let him go, the guy just looked at him and the gang member he attacked with a deadly smirk before walking away. Before getting off the man looked back at Anna and blew her a kiss. Anna just rolled her eyes and flipped him off. She dealt with assholes like him before in High School and in L.A. Her jester just made him laugh and jumped off the Carousel with his buddies.

When the ride was over Anna headed to the parking lot. The whole time she kept having to look over her shoulder as she felt like someone was following her. She had to keep a firm grip on her switchblade that was in her purse. Once she got her keys out she did a one last look around before getting in her car and headed home. When she got home she still felt eyes on her. It was only until she got inside the house that she felt a little safer. Only by a little. Looking around she saw that her grandpa had already gone to bed. With a sigh, she locked the door and took off her denim jacket as she headed to her room. Feeling exhausted, Anna decided to turn for the night. She stripped down to her underwear and put on a large AC/DC T-shirt. A smile formed on her face as she inhaled the shirt.

'Your still here.' She thought as she closed her eyes and inhaled his scent.

Anna sat down on her bed and looked at the frame on her nightstand. In the photo was Anna herself and her late-boyfriend Nigel. He died just six months ago from Leukemia. It's been hard on her from moving on. She picked up the frame and held it close to her chest. With another sigh she turned off her lamp and lay down on her bed.

"Goodnight, Nigel." She whispered and closed her eyes.

Within moments she fell into a deep sleep.

Not once did she notice a pair of icy blue eyes watching her every move since she got home. She didn't even stir when her window opened and David stepped in the room. With silent footsteps he walked over towards the bed and stared down at Anna. He was glad that he fed before arriving. Her scent was so intoxicating that it was making his mouth water. He still couldn't believe that he found his mate and couldn't complain. She was his type of woman in every way. He would normally go for blondes but he did have a thing for brunettes. She had beautiful blue eyes, light tan skin, a nice hourglass body, and legs that he wouldn't mind wrapping around his waist. Not to mention that she had a nice ass and a pair of breasts that he was craving to touch. She had everything that he wanted in a mate.

He gently moved some of her hair out of her face and smirked when she shuddered at his touch. The smirk fell when the frame fell out of her hands and he saw the photo.

'Who the fuck is this?' David growled in his mind.

Now he was pissed.

It wasn't like he was expecting her to be a virgin. But she was his and he didn't like sharing what was his.

'Hey chill, David, if the guy isn't with her it can't be that serious.' Dwanye said through their menthol bond.

Knowing that Dwanye was right David took a few deep breaths to calm himself down. Besides…he always gets what he wants. She'll see who she belongs to, whether she likes it or not.

'I hope you enjoy Santa Clara, beautiful. Cause this will be your home from now on…with me.' David thought with a sinister smirk before leaving.

In her dream she was running in an endless void of fog. She was trying to run away from something. She didn't know from what but she knew that she had to run away. If she stopped she knew that she would die.

'Anna.'

Anna screamed at the chilling cold voice. The voice chuckled at her fear and this just made her run faster.

'You can't run from me, Anna.'

Suddenly arms were wrapped around her and held her close to something hard and cold.

'You're mine, Anna. And I'll never let you go.'

She gasped at the wet feeling of a tongue licking her neck.

The moment she felt a sharp pain on her neck she woke up from her nightmare.

"Anna. Are you alright in there?" Grandpa asked from the other side of her door.

"Yes, grandpa…I'm fine." She said, trying to calm herself down. "I just…had a bad dream."

She looked at the clock in her room and saw that it was half passed noon. Shaking off the strange dream, she pulled the covers off of her and went to get up. She stopped when she felt pain in her foot. Looking down she saw that it was broken glass from the frame. It must have fallen when she fell asleep.

"Damn it." She whispered

The cut wasn't deep but she did bleed. She wrapped up the wound before going around the other side of the bed and cleaned up the mess. Her heart ached a little when she saw a tare in the photo. It was strangely across Nigel's face. Clenching the t-shirt to her person, Anna didn't know if this was a bad omen.

Bringing out of her unease, she heard the sound of a car and a familiar motorcycle. Looking out the window she saw her moms car and her brother, Michael, riding his motorcycle. Smiling, she went to put some pajama shorts on and headed downstairs. She stopped at the stairs when she heard her mom calling grandpa and a worried tone.

"Dad?"

Curious at what her grandpa was playing she tipped-toe over quickly over to the front door and saw him lying on the front porch. She couldn't help but shake her head in amusement. Their grandpa was a strange old man sometimes.

"He looks dead." She heard Michael say.

"No. He's just a deep sleeper." Her mom said

"If he's dead can we go back to Phoenix." Her little brother Sam said

Anna nearly walked out just to slap him over the head for that comment.

'Does he really think they had a home back in Phoenix?' She scoffed in her mind. 'That bastard took everything from mom.'

"Playin' dead…and from what I heard, doing a damn good job of it too." Grandpa said with misch in his voice.

"Dad!" Her mom scolded before helping him up and hugged him.

"He did the same to me when I arrived, mom." Anna said as she came outside.

"Oh Anna." Lucy smiled and hugged her oldest child. "When did you get here?"

"Just yesterday." Anna smiled

When she let go of her mom she was being lifted up in a hug by her brother Michael. Even though she was the oldest, Michael was a few inches taller than her.

"Hey, Annie. How's life the in L.A?" Michael laughed

"Nice seeing you too, Mikey." She smiled

When he put her down Sam went to hug her too. She did but not before slapping him upside his head.

"Ow, what was that for?" He whined

"I heard what you said out here. You better not be giving mom a hard time, she doesn't need it right now." She whispered with a dark tone.

Sam gulped and backed away a little. Both brothers know how scary she can be when she's angry.

"Anna, come on, don't kill him for being a teenager." Michael said, saving his little brother's life. "Come on, help us unload the trailer."

Anna nodded and moved to help but not before giving her youngest brother a warning look. She got a few boxes off the trailer when she felt something fury brush against her leg. Looking down she saw Sam's dog Nanook.

"Hey boy. I almost forgot about you." Anna smiled as bent down and petted him.

The husky licked her face a few times before running after Sam.

"Thank you for coming here, sweetie. I know it must be hard for you to find time off with your job." Lucy said

"Jerry went through the same thing so he understood." Anna said "How are you doing?"

"I'm fine…really I am." Lucy said "I just think the divorce was a little harder for Michael and Sam though."

'Yeah…I noticed with sam.' Anna thought

"Don't worry, they'll come around. If they give you a hard time I'll knock some sense into them." She said

Lucy let out a laugh before noticing the shirt she was wearing.

"Never mind me, sweetie, how have you been doing?" She asked

Anna felt her mom tugging at the old shirt and she knew what she was referring to.

"I'm getting by. It's just…hard." She said as they went inside. "His sister called me yesterday. Since his birthday is in a few days she's gonna have everyone come down here and have a party at a club called "Black Rose"."

"I remember that place. I used to go there when I was your age. Nigel would have loved it there." Lucy smiled "Will you be okay though?"

"I will. Besides it's not like I can say no to Jessica. You know how persuasive she can be."

Lucy nodded in agreement before stopping as Sam and Michael came running down the stairs and ran passed them.

"Hey! No running in the house!" Lucy scolded the boys.

The boys ended up stopping when Sam opened the doors to grandpas' taxidermy area.

"Talk about the Texas Chainsaw Massacre." Michael said

Sam lightly chuckled.

"Rules." Grandpa said "We got some rules around here…"

He motioned for the boys to follow him to the kitchen. Anna just continued helping with the boxes as he already told her his rules yesterday. When she came back in with a few more things he was telling them about the T.V guide.

"When the mailman brings the T.V Guide on Wednesdays, sometimes the corner of the address label will be curled up…You'll be tempted to peel off. Don't! You'll only end up ripping the cover and I don't like that." He said as he walked back to his taxidermy room. "And stay outta here!" He was about to close the doors till Sam stopped him.

"Wait…wait! You have a T.V?" Sam asked

"No, I just like to read the T.V Guide. Read the T.V Guide, you don't need a T.V." Grandpa responded and closed the doors.

Anna and Michael looked at each other and just chuckled at Sam's face.

"Hey guys. I'm going to the boardwalk to look for a job. Do you want to come with me?" Lucy asked

Even though Anna has already gone she didn't mind going again. Once all the boxes were inside she headed upstairs and took a shower. She decided to wear a black crop-top tee with the Blondie band on it with ripped denim shorts and her black sneakers. After doing her hair Anna grabbed her denim jacket and purse before heading downstairs.

"Hey mom, if you want I can take everyone to the boardwalk." She said

"Are you sure, sweetie?" Lucy asked

"Yeah, I don't mind." Anna smiled

"Hey Ann, let me drive?" Michael asked

"Ha. Let me ride your motorcycle then." She smirked

"Hell no." Michael scoffed

"Then you don't ride my baby." She smirked and smacked his arm. "In the back bitch."
