Chapter 12: A Pixie Believes

"Mommy, it's coronation day! Can you believe it? You're gonna be the Queen and daddy the King. It's so exciting!" Meadow calls out as she twirls around in her dress then falls on the bed, her hair framing her face as the curls invade.

"Yes, sunshine. It's coronation day." Bloom says, a slight tremble in her voice as she looks at herself in the mirror. "Where is your father?"

"Huh? Oh, he's in Mason's room next door. Daddy had to dress Mason for the party too. And his clothes are really cute. Auntie Stella made sure that all out clothes are pretty, huh mommy?" Bloom caught the dazzle in her daughter's eye in the mirror and turned to look at her.

"Meadow, your dress is beautiful. Stella did a wonderful job. And it's your favorite colors." Bloom smiles as he daughter grabs the dress and twirls again, giggling. The dress is blue and pink, the same colors as Bloom has always had an affinity for. It was perfect for Meadow, with wide straps wrapping over her shoulders and connecting to the bodice of the dress, a lovely sky blue (pun intended) that runs to her hips then flares out in the traditional ballroom gown. Small bows or pale pink with just a smidge of sparkles line the bottom of the dress while a large bow of the same pale pink was "tied" behind her back with the tails falling behind her and getting caught in the wind her twirls caused.

"Knock knock. Girlfriends coming in." Musa calls as she pushes the door open and the rest of the Winx Club wives file in. "Wow Bloom, you look awesome."

"Of course she does Musa, I designed her dress. We all look amazing." Stella chimes in.

"That may be Stella, but she was just saying that the dress looks incredible on Bloom. Which it does dear." Layla said, closing the door behind her.

"Oh, well, okay."

"Hey girls! What are you-"

"Aunt Layla!" Meadow yells as her eyes fall on the soon-to-be-bride as she runs to her. Being (1) Layla and (2) the most athletic of the group, she easily bends down to catch the five-year old and pulls her into a tight embrace.

"Hi there, Meadow. Long time no see, huh?"

"You bet." Meadow looks at everyone in the room and smiles. "I love you all."

The ladies all look at her with smiles on their faces as she hugs Layla, then give a brief laugh at Meadow's declaration. "We love you to sunshine." Bloom says. "Now, what are you all doing her? I thought you would be with the guys or getting seats." A small crease forms on her face as she sees the others all smiling at her.

"You really didn't think we would let you walk there all by yourself did you? Come on, we're better friends than that." Flora says, her voice rising to be heard over the blare of a horn as another royal guest enters the palace.

A small, rather quiet known sounds at the door and the group of women look at it, a frown forming on the faces of a few. "Who could that be?" Techna voiced the group question, taking the few steps to the door as Layla's hands were still full of five-year old. As she opened the door, she asked, "Yes?"

A small voice replied, "Now Techna, you mustn't answer the door for a random person. Really, Musa should have told you such." At the cacophony of small voices grew outside the door grew, the faces in the room lit up – it is the pixies.

They all flew in, only Tune waiting to be asked in as she yells at the others that what they are doing is improper.

Names are thrown around as each fairy reunites with their bonded pixie, who has been on Magix for the last month due to a pixie village crisis. Layla puts Meadow down before clasping her hands together to hold up Piff, now a fully grown pixie.

Meadow, now standing on her own, catches sight of a new pixie.

"Hi everyone! My name is Morfo, and I'm the pixie of transformation." She he flitters about the top of the room, his eyes fall on Meadow and he stops in his tracks. He quickly floats down to her level and stops in front of her. "I'm Morfo." He repeats to her.

"I'm Meadow. It's nice to meet you." She says, and she curtsies, never taking her eyes off of Morfo. "Princess of Eraklyon." She adds as an afterthought.

"Oh," he says and bows back to her. His eyes catch sight of her again and he says, "I think you're my fairy."

"Well, look at that Bloom. Not only did her powers manifest early, but she found her pixie at age 5." Daphne says, pointing at the new best friends hugging in the center of the room.

"Isn't that so sweet!" Flora sighs as she looks at the young duo.

"It's just simple probability that one of our pixies would introduce Meadow to her pixie. Though, when I calculated this probability, I didn't add the chance that she would meet her pixie at age 5." She taps on her device and Digit looks over her shoulder.

"According to this, there was a 78% chance that she would find her pixie before the age of 12 due to the fact that she gained her Dragon fire powers at age 3. There was a 32.7% chance that she would find he pixie before the age of 10 though. This is a strange dataset." Digit chatted away.

"I concur," Techna piped in. "But," she says looking back at the newest duo, "I believe that this occurrence is coming at just the right time."

"Yay! Morfo is gonna stick around." Chatta yelled practically in Flora's ear.

"Chatta! Inside voice, please. Do you know him well?" Flora asks.

"I do." Lockette answers. "He's my boyfriend," she says as a blush creeps into her cheeks.

"Oh," is all Bloom can think to say.

A knock at the door intruded on the smiling moment. Sky strode in, his son in his hands. Sky's outfit was clean cut and neat, a black suit accented with a deep maroon – the national colors of the kingdom of Eraklyon. "Hope I'm not intruding," he calls out as he enters. "Oh, well, hello ladies." Taken somewhat aback by the sheer number of women in the room, he looks down at his son and says, "They've surrounded your mother, Mason. I'm not sure I can get through." He turns his smiling face to his wife, which only grows more as he finally sees what she is wearing. "Wow."

"See," Stella says. "That's what these dresses are supposed to do."

"Hi Sky." Bloom walks over to her husband and son. "Hi there, baby boy," she coos at her youngest. "What's up honey?" She smiles at Sky, who takes the opportunity to plant a kiss on her very sensual lips. She pulls back, keenly aware of her very best friends in the room, not to mention both of her children. "What was that for?" She asks under her breath, avoiding looking at the rest of their group in the room.

"Cause I love you. And you gave me Meadow and Mason." Sky returns, all his love in his eyes. As the baby stirs in his hands, he remembers why he had originally come to their room. "Oh, and your son is hungry I think."

Bloom, blushing as red as a tomato, smiles and takes her baby from Sky. "Hi there, Mason-honey. Are you hungry?" His tiny hand raised to grasp at her despite his muscles not really being able to grab yet. His hand found its way under the chain of her necklace, the same one Sky had given her many years ago, and pulled. Fearful he might hurt himself, she quickly grasps the chain herself and pulls it forward to tuck it into her dress. He becomes restless.

"Well everyone, out. I have to feed my son." As no one moved, she turned back around to them and waved one hand at them. "Go, I have to get this done before I have to get the darned crown. Go, go, go."

They all leave the room, giggling and smiling, Meadow clutching to the skirts of her aunt Stella as she and her pixie still talk and create their bond.
