As the music began to play, Nabu's heart jumped into his throat. The moment was finally at hand. He was finally going to get to marry the love of his life. The music was playing, his friends standing right next to him, waiting for their wives to walk down the aisle before one of their best friends.

And then, there they are. Tecna walks out first, a beautiful mid-calf length dress in a deep purple with green trim. Musa is next, in a dress exactly the same, but for the color; her dress is a midnight blue with a red trim. Stella walks out next in a golf colored dress with a deep purple trim. Daphne walks down the aisle in a fiery red dress with a gold trim and Bloom follows her out in a silver dress with midnight blue trim. Flora walks out last, her dress being green with a pale pink trim. If Layla were not the bride, her matching dress would be a pale pink with silver trim, but being the bride, she is wearing a Stella original wedding dress.

Back when the first Winx Club girl got married, all of the girls talked about it and decided that they each would buy just one bride's maid dress to wear at everyone's weddings so that they would never have to think about the dresses and could focus on the bride, and that each would have a single dress that means so much to them. To each Winx girl, their bride's maid dress is the dress they wore when each of their best friends got married. Tradition for their weddings, even today was no exception.

When the final lady, Flora, made it to her post at the alter everyone in the room rose to watch the bride walk in. Layla took her first step into the room on her father's arm, knowing that when she leaves, it will be on the arm of her husband. Her dress moves around her legs, cooling her heating skin and offering her some comfort as she walks slowly down the aisle when she wants to sprint to Nabu's side.

The dress itself is gorgeous, all white with soft blue sapphires and shining white pearls glistening about her bodice and waist, leading into a thick yet cool skirt that reaches past the legs about 8 inches, pushing everything around her away, giving her a nervous bubble. Her hair is partially up, pulled to the side and clipped in place with lots of bobby pins. Her crown as princess of Andros rests on her head, the metal gleaming like the jewels, reflecting the light like water reflects light.

Every eye in the audience is on Layla but for Flora's. She learned quickly that while her friends are some of the most beautiful brides this universe has ever seen, looking at the man about to get married is just as sweet. Being the third to get married, only after Bloom and Daphne, Flora looked at her husband, Helia, and knew that everytime someone got married, from that moment on, she would look at the groom. And she was right to. Nabu was smiling, tears looked ready to fall as Layla walked toward him. If you really looked, you could see his heart in his eyes, the love for her best friend that he had. She knew already, without having to look at Layla, that she was seeing that love reflected in his eyes, and her were reflecting the same devotion.

Finally, Layla made it to the alter and her father took Nabu's hand. "I give you my daughter, to cherish and to hold." Her father then kissed her hand and went to take his seat next to his wife. The start of the vows were kind of a blur, but when the lovely couple got to their personal vows, things got emotional.

"The couple has decided to recite their own vows." called out the priest.

Nabu went first. "Layla of Andros, I promise to love you with every fiber of my being and every drop of my magic. I swear to protect you and to hold you. I know this is hard, but I do promise to you, here and now before our friends and family, that I will not leave you again. You will not know hardship in my arms. I love you." And then he placed the thin wedding band on her finger and kissed her hand.

Layla's turn is next, but before she can begin, she has to clear her throat. "Nabu, of Andros," she starts and gives him a small smile. "I promise to love you until my last breath. I promise to hold you and cherish you, and to take every moment you give. I promise to love you here and now, and forever more, while we live our lives together and create our own family. I promise to know no hardship in your arms, and to hold you close every night for the rest of my life."

She's done it, tears begin to fall from Nabu's face, running down one cheek as the woman he loves with every fiber slides a thick wedding band on his finger.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss your bride."

The cheering in the throne room was deafening. The girls all cheered, tears rolling down their faces. The guys all hollered at Nabu and Layla. The children clapped and cheered, calling out auntie and uncle, with the rest of the audience as the to finally shared their first kiss as a married couple.

The rest of the night went by so fast from that moment on. They were escorted from the throne room to the ballroom where food and drinks were already waiting. The children all took their seats at the kids table, along with Layla's younger cousins and the children of Nereus and Tressa (Layla's cousins).

The food is delicious and soft music plays while everyone eats. Then, the whole of the Winx Club (husbands included), minus Layla and Nabu, stand and take the stage.

"Thank you all for coming to Layla and Nabu's wedding. We are the Winx Club," says Stella. "And we have something special for everyone. Girls?"

"Thanks Stella for that introduction. To start us off, each couple of the Winx Club has a special gift for our newly married best friend. Tecna?"

"For you, Layla and Nabu, Timmy and I give you the gift of technology." She waves her hand and the green sparkle in the air lets everyone know that magic is abound. On a side table near Layla and Nabu appears a small laptop like device.

"For all your technical solutions," starts Timmy, sounding a lot like a TV show host. "The latest in Zenith technology, the HALO3401. Crossing planets, no mixing signals, and a forever internet connection, it's the last laptop you will ever need. And, it comes with a micro-sizing option to make it more easily transportable."

"This is so we can always keep in touch." Tecna finishes.

"Alright," Bloom continues. "Musa next."

"Hey Layla! Riven and I have gotten you a perfect gift, if I do say so myself." She raises her hand and the red tint of her magic fills the room. On the table, next to Tecna and Timmy's gift appears a basket, and in it is three instruments. A guitar the color of redwood trees sits at the back, the tallest in the basket. In front of it and the right is a beautiful silver flute, and finally, on the left sits a gold rimmed tambourine.

"We wanted to make sure that your home is never quiet and your lives are always filled with the magic of music." Riven says as he takes Musa's hand in his. When he's said his part, he looks down at her and his heart is in his eyes.

"Very beautiful," says Bloom. "Now, Stella."

"Layla, sweetie, Brandon and I are so happy to be here with you today and to help in celebrating your dreams coming true. To help you always remember that you made your dreams true, we've gotten you something that will make sure that you two never loose each other, ever again." She spreads her magic throughout the room and as light fills it and stars twinkle in some other land, a box appears on the table.

Brandon takes Stella's hand and says, "To you, our dear friends, we give you the gift of sight. Two rings you should wear forever. Whenever you two are apart, you just have to wish for the other with your heart and the light of the rings will take you to the other."

Layla lets slip a tear or two as the meaning of the gift hits home.

"Daphne, you next?"

"Thanks Bloom." She and Thoren walk forward on the stage, holding hands. "In honor of your love and devotion to one another, Thoren and I are honored to present you with the medal of elements."

"It's a powerful medal with which you gain some control over the elements. On behalf of Sparx, the world which protected this medal, and the whole Magix dimension, we give this to you two, Layla an Nabu, to guard here on Andros." Thoren says.

"I know it seems odd to give this as a 'gift,' but it will make sense in the future." And with a wave of her free hand and a puff of air on the table, there sat an ornate wooden box, opened to show the medal inside which glistens with the power of the elements inside.

"Alright, well, mine and Sky's turn."

"Layla and Nabu, you two have been an inspiration to us all," Sky starts, taking the microphone from his wife. "You have shown not only us, your friends, but the whole dimension what the power of love looks like."

"And we know," Bloom continues. "That love is a rocky thing. It comes in blows and waves."

"That is why we gift you, some of our closest friends, with a gift like we gave the others in our group." Sky says.

"Like our dresses," Bloom says, waving at the dress she is wearing. "This too is a tradition. So, we give to you a home on the isle of dragons. Like the first time I went there, the island is still warm and full of dragon life. The beach we have built on is safe from the more wild dragons and protected by magic."

"And it is now your getaway for when you need it." Brandon finishes.

As Bloom waves her hand and the fiery magic moves toward the table, Brandon speaks up, saying, "Trust us, you'll need it." This earns him a glare from Stella and a laugh from the rest of the crowd.

"And finally, Flora." Bloom says, handing the microphone to Flora, who over the years has always felt a closer connection to Layla. Perhaps it is because of their affinity for the elements and nature.

"Thanks." Flora says quietly. "Um, well, Helia and I have a special gift for our friends Layla and Nabu." Helia, knowing how his wife can be shy at first, slips his arm around her back, pulling her in to his body a little bit to give her comfort.

"We thought long and hard," he says. "About what to get the couple that has everything." The audience laughs and Layla and Nabu clasp hands and laugh some. "Finally, my dear wife, Flora, thought of the perfect gift." He nudges her with his hand some to let her know that he is there for her always.

"Yes." She says with more confidence. "I figured out what to get the magician and the fairy. And so, without further ado, I give you their gift." With a soft wave of her hand, petals begin to fall from the ceiling. As Layla and Nabu look up at the petals, Helia looks at his wife and winks.

It's show time.

All the lights in the room dim except for those over the stage. The petals continue to fall, but light, clearly Stella's magic, flares and when the starlight dims and the stars actually move out over the audience, the girls are not in their dresses anymore. Instead, a band stands on the stage. Each girl is still in her colors, but it's been transformed into pants and top or skirt and top ensemble fit for the super amazing band waiting to play. The guys all have their tuxes on, but as trendy outfits rather than formal wear.

"We are the Winx Club, and Layla and Nabu are one of us!" shouts Musa from the back. Then, she starts to jam on her guitar. As her music begins, so does others. Instrument after instrument starts to play until the only thing missing is the voices; Bloom and Flora stand ready to sing.

And there it is. The wedding of the decade, and the final wedding of the Winx Club. Bartlebee would be very happy to see my work. I hope that Layla and Nabu, my historic charges, will take me to Sparx next time they go. But for now, I must end this chapter of their history.

"And so, the night wore on, and each Winx Club member, each of the Company of Light, bore their marks of love and devotion, of friendship and power. The night was theirs and theirs alone. Filled with joyous laughter, delicious food, and soft love. Their day was done, but their lives just started."

As the music began to play, Nabu's heart jumped into his throat. The moment was finally at hand. He was finally going to get to marry the love of his life.
