Hey guys and gals, welcome back to MHA: The Value of a Thief and this time around we'll be getting back into the proper story.
This will include the buffet scene as well as the first Mementos infiltration which should be interesting.
Also I have made a couple of plans for this story that will alter how the story of P5 goes.
Either from changing boss fights, changing how certain character stories goes and ther things. They all make sense in the world this takes place in.
So with that said, how about we get this started.
Police station
Third person P.O.V.
In the police station we see Akechi in the waiting room while typing on his phone, currently wearing the U.A. uniform with a briefcase next to him and a sheathed sword on his hip nobody else in the general area.
"And now for a breaking news story" A news reporter said, as the detective looked over at the Tv.
"A sudden and stunning fall from grace as former number one hero Suguru Kamoshida/Geo Ball who has since become the Hero Teacher for a city highschool's hero programme has suddenly turned himself in" The news reporter explained, as Alechi raised an eyebrow.
"He has suddenly confessed to problematic behaviour towards his students, his actions and his past as the former number 1 hero, this has caused outcry and a harsh response coming from the public." The news reporter stated, catching Akechi's attention.
"A sudden change of heart…how interesting…but no, most likely just coincidence" Akechi muttered, shaking his head.
"Due to recent reports from U.A. It is believed by a former villain group that Kamoshida is responsible for these actions, however it is stated that is only a working theory and that the police will be investigating these claims and any possible motivation he may have."
"Hmm, you found this story interesting too?" Akechi heard, before looking over at Kurusu walking up to him.
Akechi perked up as he looked at the older man "It's good to see you again, Kurusu-san and not really, just trying to have some back up noise".
"Hmm…fair enough," Kurusu hummed, before spotting the briefcase next to Akechi "Oh you actually going out on patrol today? I still don't know why you chose to work here for your final year instead of an actual hero agency".
"Nothing like that, I was just meaning to get my gear fixed up as for your other question, I just thought this place might be more interesting and besides I don't think many hero agencies will take me in with my…unique abilities" Akechi smiled, as Sae sweatdropped. "If I may ask though, what held you up".
"Ah, visiting an old College friend for lunch, but I'm surprised the great 'detective prince' would want to speak with an old timer like me" He admitted, making Akechi laugh a bit.
"Oh don't sell yourself short Kurusu-san, I've been quite the fan of your work for quite sometime in fact I wouldn't mind talking one on one over some coffee" Akechi smirked, which made Kurusu sweat drop.
"You do know we have a meeting, you are going to attend this time right?" Kurusu asked, crossing his arms as the two walked off with Akechi smiling.
"Well of course".
Hotel
Third person P.O.V.
"CHEERS!"
In a fancy hotel buffet we see Ren, Ryuji and Ann all partaking in a large variety of meals they had picked up from the buffet.
"Holy crap! This meat! It melts in my mouth" Ryuji drooled, as he took a bite into some steak.
"No wonder Lady Ann chose this place!" Morgana smiled, as she scarfed down on some of the fatty tuna.
"Of course it's good! This is a famous hotel after all" Ann smirked as she ate into some of her cake.
"Yeah but don't you guys think you took a bit too much?" Ren sweatdropped, as he looked at the large amount of dishes his friends had grabbed while he ate into his stew.
"Ah come on man lighten up! When will we ever get the chance to eat food this good!" Ryuji grinned, patting his back "We deserve this after what we did for the school."
"Oh yeah actually, I heard rumour that some police officers are coming to the school to interview the students" Ann informed the others as Morgana looked down.
"That's certainly troublesome…" Morgana muttered, looking down.
"Our names are probably going to be coming for sure. People are already spreading rumours about us and Kamoshida" Ryuji sighed, crossing his arms.
"Yeah but not likely they can pin this on us, Kamoshida's sudden change took place in U.A. somewhere we absolutely wouldn't be able to get into and none of our Quirks would be able to do that" Ren shrugged, eating a potato from the stew.
"That's a good point! Plus we got them totally pumped up! I keep hearing stuff like 'the Phantom Thieves really stole his heart!'" Ryuji grinned "I think most of them don't believe it but some of them actually seem grateful! I mean look at this".
Ren, Ann and Morgana looked over at Ryuji's phone showing off a forum talking about the Phantom Thieves.
"The Phantom Aficionado Website? Someone actually made a website about us" Ren questioned as Ann looked over at the comments.
"'Well done Phantom Thieves' 'Now I can keep going too' 'Thank you for giving us hope' Man I was just desperate to solve my own problems…but seeing people thanking us like this, it's strange" Ann smiled, looking at the comments.
"Yeah it's almost like we're actual heroes that got to save people" Ren smiled before for a moment it shifted to a frown.
"So what should we do now…" Ryuji wondered, as Ren raised an eyebrow.
"Finish through the buffet first before thinking about stuff like that" Ren pointed out, making them blink.
"Huh? Oh crap you're right! We only have fifty minutes left" Ryuji yelped, causing Ann to stand up.
"What! But I have to work my way through the entire desert menu!" Ann yelled back, looking scared as well.
"We'll be back! Watch our stuff! We'll get ya some more fish to Mona" Ryuji grinned, as the two walked off back to the buffet.
"They're going to get soooo sick aren't they?" Morgana asked, as Ren slurped up some of his stew "Yup".
"Um excuse me?"
Blinking Ren looked over to see a girl that looked a bit younger than him with long black hair tied into a spiky ponytail and black eyes. She wore a fling sleeved black shirt with a white top, black tights underneath brown shorts and brown boots.
"Sorry to disturb your meal, but did I hear a cat coming from around here?" She asked, with a raised eyebrow.
"Oh crap, did we mess up?" Morgana yelped, looking worried as the girl spotted him.
"Aw so cute" She cooed, walking over and began petting him "I didn't know they allowed pets here".
"They don't but he's kind of like a therapy animal for me so…" Ren explained, as she nodded.
"Ah I see, well I won't say anything but what's his name?" She asked, making Ren smile.
"Morgana, and I'm Ren Amamiya" Ren introduced, making the girl gasp.
"Oh goodness! My apologies. I completely forgot to introduce myself, I'm-" "Yaomomo-chan?!"
"Huh, oh! Takamaki-san!" The girl smiled, as she looked over at Ryuji and Ann walking over to them while holding their dishes.
"Dang Renren, did you know you were so good you could start talking with a cutie like her in like 5 minutes" Ryuji jokes, with a teasing grin.
"It's really not like that, she just walked up after hearing Morgana" Ren explained, as the cat puffed his chest.
"Well of course, she couldn't help but be attracted to my gentlemanly charmes" Morgana smirked.
"So anyway, you two know each other?" Ren asked, with a raised eyebrow.
"Ah kinda, we've talked a few times but it's just because our parents have worked together" Ann explained, before turning over to Yaomomo "These are my classmates from school, we came across quite a bit of money so we're celebrating Kamoshida's arrest"
"Oh yeah! I heard about what happened at your school. It must have been horrible finding out what he did to your best friend" Yaomomo frowned, but Ryuji shrugged.
"Ah don't worry about it besides that bastards are gone now thanks to the Phantom Thieves" Ryuji grinned, making Momo blink.
"Eh Phantom Thieves?" She blinked, before Ren delivered an elbow to Ryuji's side.
"It's nothing just a rumour that started happening in our school" Ann dismissed, with Yaomomo nodding.
"Well alright anyway I should be getting back before my parents get worried, but it was nice seeing all of you" Yaomomo smiled, before walking off as the trio waved her goodbye.
"Man she was nice, but dang Ann didn't know your family was that rich" Ren smirked, as Ann sighed.
"Yeah I don't really like talking about it besides they would have asked questions if I made a reservation for here under their name" Ann sighed, shaking her head.
"Well anyway let's dig!" Ryuji grinned, looking at his vast variety of dishes "I ain't letting a single dish be left over, I'll eat till I puke!".
Almost an hour later
Bathroom
Third person P.O.V.
"Ugh I feel like crap" Ryuji groaned, as they walked out of the bathrooms "I totally panicked when I saw the closed for cleaning signs downstairs".
"You were all bragging about how you were going to eat till you puke, then you actually puked…are you some kind of moron?" Morgana questioned, with a raised eyebrow.
"That's what you get when you are literally inhaling your food like that" Ren pointed out, causing Ryuji to roll his eyes.
"Hey man, when you go to a fancy restaurant like this you gotta eat as much as you can, them's the rules" Ryuji nodded to himself, as the two walked into the elevator.
However suddenly a large group of suited people along with their bald leader came into the elevator and began shoving them out.
The leader was a tall, bald man with a small black goatee. He wears a business suit and a pair of orange-tinted square glasses.
"Hey what the eff" Ryuji growled, looking up at the suited men who scoffed.
"Move out of the way, we're pressed for time" The suited man stated, as the bald leader looked at his men.
"Have you gotten any update on our correspondents' investigations?" he asked, as another man walked up.
"N-No sir, he hasn't gotten back to us since we sent him his target but if I may ask why are you so focused on this? Is this really worth your precious time"
"Shut it you incompetent buffoon! Tell that idiot he must pick up the pace or there will be dire consequences" he yelled, making the men stifle.
"Hey man! We were here first!" Ryuji yelled, as one of the suited men walked up.
"We're in a hurry, please stand aside," he asked, making Ryuji scoff.
"Oh I'm sorry! I didn't know you could do whatever the hell you want just because 'you're in a hurry'" Ryuji growled, as the bald man looked down.
"For fucks sakes, what happened to the customer base here…so many damn brats, did they start a daycare or something" the bald man scoffed.
"Oh I'm sorry Lex Luthor, didn't mean to interrupt your totally not evil scheming to kill who I assume is Superman '' Ren smirked, catching the bald man's attention as he looked over and glared at Ren.
"Huh, geh" Ren cringed, as he gripped his head due to a sudden headache.
They shoved Ryuji back while entering the elevator with the door closing behind them.
"Man what the hell was up with that guy" Ryuji scoffed, crossing his arms.
"Shouldn't we focus on meeting with Lady Ann" Morgana asked, making Ryuji sigh "Yeah I know…just…I can't forgive people who look down on folks like that right!".
Ryuji then blinked as he saw Ren holding his head while looking a bit dizzy "Hey, you okay?".
"H-Huh" Ren blinked, holding his head before shaking it "Yeah I'm alright, just felt a bit light headed…let's head back".
However when the three of them got back they were met by Ann who was looking pretty irritated as she turned to them "Oh, so now you come back!"
"Woah! What's with the attitude?" Ryuji asked, causing Ann to sigh as she rubbed her head.
"Sorry…just had a pretty experience," Ann explained, as the others took their seats. "I went to get more food, but some lady bumped into me, and then blamed me when she dropped her plate! What's worse is that the staff sided with the lady over me!".
"Sounds like she had the case of the Karens" Ren said, as he sat down on the couch with Ann nodding.
"What was worse was how they were all giving me this disapproving expression… really goes to show just how much we're out of place here…" Ann sighed, while looking down.
"Guess that's just how it'll always be…we don't have the privileges of living longer lives than they do… doubt people like that would just change…" Ren said, which gave Ryuji an idea.
"Hey Morgana…you said anyone could have a Palace, right?" Ryuji asked, as the cat popped out the bag.
"Anyone with a strong, distorted desire yeah…why do you ask?" Morgana questioned, with a smirk.
"Which means they would also get a change of heart if we managed to steal their treasure" Ryuji nodded, as Ann turned her head.
"Why are you asking about this stuff all of a sudden?" Ann asked, as Ryuji looked over at her.
"I was just thinkin…maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to keep doing this stuff…" Ryuji suggested, surprising the others.
"You mean the Phantom Thief stuff?" Ren asked, with Ryuji nodding while pulling up the website.
"So many people were thanking us for stopping Kamoshida, we'd be helping people and getting back at those shitty adults" Ryuji grinned.
"That…actually isn't a bad idea, there are so many people suffering that heroes or the police can't help…like Shiho and the other students…this is something only we can do!" Ann declared with a serious look.
"Ha. And here I thought I'd have to bring this idea up myself." Morgana says, grinning from ear to ear. "Under my tutelage, I'm sure there's no heart we can't steal!"
"That just leaves…" Ryuji said, as he looked over at Ren.
"...You're right…there are people that heroes or the police can't help…and if we can have the chance to help people…actually help people, so they don't turn out to be in the same position as me…then we have to do this" Ren started with a determined look.
"Aw right! Oooh! I know, we should decide on a name for our group! I just went with Phantom Thieves of Hearts last time but we gotta come up with a proper name" Ryuji smirked, with the others nodding.
"Ooh! I've got it! The Diamonds, luxurious and cute sounding" Ann smiled, while the others sweatdropped.
"Meh, doesn't really have anything to do with what we're doing" "Yeah and it's a little too, baseball…".
"Well screw you guys! I'd like to see you come up with one" Ann pointed out as Ryuji thought.
"Well we basically got stands…how about the trickstars! You know, like Gangstars from the anime Ryuji suggested, which the others shook their heads at.
"It's not bad, but we shouldn't get too reference heavy" Ren stated, before Morgana popped out the bag,
"How about this! The Tilefish Poele!" Morgana grinned, as Ryuji nodded "That's fancy sounding! What's it mean?".
"I think it's just a fish dish in the buffet" Ren noted, causing Ann and Ryuji to give Morgana a look.
"H-Hey! It's commemorative!" Morgana pouted, before looking over "How about our leaders decide for us?".
"I'm not really good at this stuff…how about the Lupinrangers?" Ren suggested, making the others snicker.
"Dude that's way to featherman sounding" "Yeah, and it only describes your Persona!".
This conversation went on for a long while as they continued trying to decide on a name until finally they were nearing the time limit.
"We suck at this…" Ren admitted, as the others nodded in agreement.
"You guys just wanna keep the Phantom Thieves of Hearts?"
"YES!".
"...N'alright, it's decided, we are now the Phantom Thieves of Hearts" Ren announced, with the others smiling.
As the trio began leaving the hotel, Morgana popped his head "I will say though, whoever we go after next, I want the decision to be unanimous. If one of us doesn't want to do it, none of us will."
"Good idea." Ann lowered her hand and combed through her bangs with it. "I don't think I could handle the pressure if I didn't feel comfortable with one."
"Hey, team picture for our founding?" Ryuji wiggled his phone in his hand. "I wanna remember this."
"That's not a bad idea, let's do it" Ren smiled, as they all moved in for a group picture to commemorate their start as the Phantom Thieves of Hearts.

In the middle of the city we see a gigantic statue of the number 1 hero All Might, however on his chest was a spray painted logo of a top hat and mask with flame coming out the eyes.
YEAH! YEAH! OW!
We then see a blur zoom past the statue, with the camera barely following its movements.
It's your haze of delusion versus reality
We see Joker running from rooftop to rooftop, with a light shining on him as several helicopters chased after him
Just keep stirring the pot to find your individuality
Arsene then flew up behind him before Joker jumped off the rooftop and grabbed his partner's Chain to help him fly.
Delete another problem that is plaguing your mind
We next see Skull running down the highway as several police cars chased after him, a wild grin on his face as he ran
From day to day! To end to end! That's entertainment of our lives
Captain kidd then sailed up and caught Skull as he cheered into the night sky, as face of pure joy behind him
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! Dancing through the skies
Several paint marks were slashed at the walls, as we see Fox painting everything in the alleyway around him
Let's celebrate our time, and party while we're still alive
He then spun around as Goemon showed and blew his smoke allowing the paint to glow revealing he had painted different hero posters and stop signs.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! Dancing through the skies
Panther then jumped down onto some train tracks and began dancing, as she began spinning around like a Ballerina
Kick your worries to the side and aim up to the sky.
Carmine then appeared behind her, and below a flaming tornado that spun around her as she smiled up at the beauty.
EVERYBODY! Put your hands up!
We see Queen riding on Johana with Mona on her back, as the two of them drove up an elevator through a window.
We'll be flying~ Can you imagine it?
We see a large UFO flying above the city with Oracle inside, before she tapped a few commands into it
Search and you'll find the stage set within your dreams.
The UFO then began flashing several colours like a Disco Ball that lit up the entire city.
The place where you're the one
Down below we see Noir and Milady dancing like in a ball on Shibuya crossing before the two spun around.
That's where you're meant to be!
Noir then struck a pose as Milady revealed the variety of guns below her dress.
EVERYBODY!
We then see the Thieves falling through the sky towards a variety of statues of Pro Heroes.
Put your hands up!
We see both Panther and Mona aiming firing their guns at a statue of Ryukyu which crumbled into pieces.
We'll be flying!
Then Skull and Fox quickly moved past a large statue Edgeshot, cutting it in half.
Can you imagine it?
Next we see Queen and Noir crashing, punching the large statue of endeavour into pieces.
Search and you'll find the stage you set within your dreams
In the UFO we see Oracle typing in a few more codes with a grin on her face, before snapping her fingers causing her UFO to drop a huge bomb towards the All Might statue.

Joker then grinned as Arsene threw him towards the bomb which he shot with his pistol causing a huge explosion of colours.
FLYIN! Within these memories!
We see the whole team of Phantom Thieves cheering at the beautiful explosion they were witnessing.
FLYING! That you're slowly forgetting!
Joker smirked before he spun around and landed towards the ground as the train passed by him.
Just listen close to the song that lies within you~
Ren then gets up in his school uniform with Morgana in his bag, before he waved to us and walked back towards the crowd of people passing by.

Velvet Room
Third person P.O.V.
"Oh great…here again" Ren dryly said, as he woke up in the prison cell of the Velvet Room.
"Hmph, it's about time you woke up inmate" He heard, looking over to see Caroline and Justine glaring at him "Stand up straight! Don't make our master wait"
"Yeah yeah, I'm getting up…just give me a break" Ren sighed, stretching a bit as he walked to the cell door.
"It's good to see you again, I've brought you here to congratulate you" Igor smirked, causing Ren to raise an eyebrow.
"You want to congratulate me? So you've been watching me when we fought Kamoshida" Ren asked, with Igor nodding.
"Indeed, we've watched as you've met companion who match you ideals as well as how you've found a place in the waking world where you belong, everything has been set…we can now begin your rehabilitation in earnest" Igor declared, "Now then, as you have proven yourself worthy… allow me to tell you how you mauve avoid the ruin which awaits you".
"But let me guess, you're still not going to tell me what the ruin actually is" Ren guessed, making Igor chuckle.
"You catch on quickly, you are not ready to hear about the ruin coming towards you but you may be so, in the not-so-distant future" Igor explained "I can tell you that you must continue strengthening and creating more bonds, you bear a unique quality but only when polished does that quality become strength, yours is yet frail. Nurture it, and you will gain the power to fight back against the oncoming ruin that is the rehabilitation that I task unto you".
"I don't understand…" Ren sighed, completely confused at what he meant.
"He's saying the power of the wild card is connected to the strength of your bonds…you have to continue strengthening the bonds you have with your friends, as well as making more bonds with people to become the strongest you can be" Another voice said, catching Ren's attention as he looked over at one of the other cells.
Ren's eyes widened when he saw someone in one of the other cells, he couldn't quite see who it was but he did notice the man had silver hair.
"Quite inmate! Don't interrupt the master when you aren't spoken to!" Caroline yelled, slamming the nearby cell.
Ren then looked over at the other cells, his eyes widening as he saw several other people in the other cells "I never realised there were so many people here…".
"They are none of your concern, inmate" Justine said, as Ren looked down at her "You will also be working with us to complete a list of Persona's you must create through fusion".
"Huh, well that doesn't sound too bad" Ren blinked, only for Caroline to laugh.
"Don't think it'll be easy inmate, you will need specific Persona's to complete each one and trust me it will be incredibly demanding for someone like you! Justine, tell him what the first one is" Caroline laughed as Justine looked at the list.
"You must create a Jack Frost who knows the Mabufu skill" Justine read out, making Caroline smirk.
"Oh I can't wait to see you struggling to make that Perso-" "Uh, you know I already have that one right?".
"WHAT!" Caroline yelled, while Justine snickered.
"Of course he had them, you were there when he made it" Justine pointed out which made Caroline blush.
"I-I knew that! I was just testing him! Gah, forget this! Can he leave now" Caroline yelled, which made Igor chuckle.
"Well you are indeed progressing at quite a fast rate, who knows maybe more unexpected surprises will be coming your way…let's see how you will face those surprises" Igor grinned, as Ren felt himself falling back to sleep.
Shujin Academy
Third person P.O.V.
Ren yawned as he rubbed his eyes, waiting in the nearly empty classroom as he waited for class to start, even Morgana was still asleep at his desk as he remembered what had happened in his dream.
"Who was that guy…he sounded like he had the same power as me…could there be other Persona users out there… are they the other people in the cells…hmm" Ren wondered, as he looked at his hand.
"Hey, you're looking pretty tired are you okay?" Ren blinked, as he looked up to see Mishima walking up to him.
"Mishima? What's up" Ren asked, leaning back as Mishima smirked.
"Oh nothing much, just wondering if you've heard of the Phantom Aficionado website?" Mishima wondered, as Ren nodded "Hehe, guess what I was the one who made it".
"Wait what, really? Why would you do that" Ren asked, with a raised eyebrow prompting the student to look left and right before moving up really close.
"Because you guys are the Phantom Thieves…right?" Mishima said, making Ren's eyes widen.
"Okay first of all, move back please" Ren sweatdropped, prompting Mishima to move back with an apology "Alright, second of all why would you think I was the one who did that Phantom Thief prank".
"Well I remembered what you told me after Kamoshida said he was going to expel us and I may have overheard you talking with Yoshizawa that you had something planned, and don't worry I won't tell anyone that you are" Mishima promised.
"Let's just set this straight I did try something, but it didn't work out…I had gotten Takamaki to vouch for us that it wasn't Shiho and even got a hero who was a regular at the cafe I work out to vouch for us as well…he ended up getting black mailed by Kamoshida stuff but still" Ren shrugged, but Mishima wasn't convinced.
"Right~~, I'll believe that"
"Ugh fine, but why make the website and not just rat us out?" Ren asked, making Mishima look down.
"Listen I know…I did a lot to you…and I don't expect you to forgive me…but I wanna make this right, I thought helping spread the word about the Phantom Thieves are there problems more people might be open to ask for help, then you'll get even more famous" Mishima explained, as Ren sweatdropped,
"Yeah, real heroic reason there…" Ren said sarcastically
"There are also a lot of people with high hopes for the Phantom Thieves next move, I even set up a poll, see" Mishima smiled, showing off his phone.
The poll had a simple question, 'Do you think the Phantom Thieves are real?'. With the percentage only being a 6.9.
"I've wanted to be a hero ever since I was a kid, but this form of justice, helping to stop people using their power on people who can't be saved by heroes…it sounds incredible, I want to help out…if I can" Mishima asked, with a look of hope in his eyes.
"It's up to you I guess, doubt I can stop you" Ren sighed, which prompted MIshima to chuckle.
"Then I guess I'll keep doing what I'm doing" Mishima grinned, before hearing the class bell "Well got go, see you".
Ren sighed as he laid his head on his desk with Morgana poking his head out "Looks like we got more trouble".
"Not sure about that, but I'll text the others to talk on the roof about this…" Ren sighed, as he took out his phone to tell the others.
As this happened we see a student walking past the classroom doors with a frown on her face.
This student Makoto Nijima, the student council president of Shujin has brown hair in a bob cut with blunt bangs and a French-braid styled headband that matches her hair colour with her eyes being reddish brown. Her winter school uniform appears normal but without the standard blazer. Instead, she wears a black halter vest over a long-sleeve white shirt with a turtleneck (which is different from normal turtlenecks for female students as there is a noticeable zipper). She wears the regulation black and red pleated plaid skirt, black pantyhose and black-brown ankle boots.
"Hah, what have I gotten myself into…" she sighed, as she thought back to what she was asked to do before golden week.
Flashback
Third person P.O.V.
"You wished to speak with me, Principal Kobayakawa?" Makoto asked, as she walked into the Principal Office.
"Yes I wanted to speak with you about what happened earlier this week" Kobayakawa stated, crossing his arms "You saw the state Kamoshida-kun was in, did you not, it was as if his personality had completely changed, something is definitely wrong here".
"From what I've heard, some students were meddling with his business shortly before he stopped coming to the school…they might have done something to him…" Kobayakawa wondered, causing Makoto's eyes to widen.
"You're not saying that one of the students used their Quirks on Kamoshida are you?" Makoto asked, with Kobayakawa nodding.
"That's what I wish to know, even if it takes some probing into student matters…I would like you to look into it for me" He stated, as Makoto looked down.
"It is true that there are many rumours regarding Mr Kamoshida…but are you suggesting that those calling cards could have been sent by students? At worst I thought they could have been old villains but this…" Makoto muttered.
"It is undeniable that something has happened to Mr Kamoshida, and according to the people at U.A. it happened almost instantaneously, I'd like to have a grasp at the cause" Kobayakawa explained "This would also let me handle the mass media and police in the correct fashion".
"I will continue speaking with Mr Kamoshida and try to find out what happened, but if the true culprit isn't found these rumours about the school may never die down, don't you agree" Kobayakwa asked, as Makoto looked down with an unsure look.
"You have been at the top of your class since the start of the year Makoto, if you do this for me I could write you a recommendation for any college of your choosing" Kobayakwa offered, causing Makoto's eyes to widen.
"T-Thank you sir" She nodded, as the Principal looked over at the window.
"Such excellence must run in your family, your sisters so young and yet she holds such an honourable position at the public prosecutor office, no…?" he asked, giving a side look over at Makoto who perked up at the mention of her sister.
"If something were to happen here, that may very well do something to your dear sister's reputation…do you understand what I'm saying?" He questioned, as Makoto looked down.
"Yes sir…I do…"
"That's great, no wonder you're our student council president…I'd appreciate it if you looked into this as soon as possible, I ask that you begin at once" He asked, with Makoto nodding.
"Yes sir, if you'll excuse me then…" she nodded, before turning around and leaving the room.
Flashback end
"I suppose, I'll have to start with the students that he called out…" She said, taking out her phone and looking at the recording people took of the confession.
"Ren Amamiya…his Scapegoat…and Takamaki Ann, his hostage…its better place to start then any" Makoto sighed, as she headed to class.
School Roof
Third person P.O.V.
"Woah hold, so it was Mishima who made the website" Ryuji gaped, as the four hung out on the school roof.
"And he's even pieced together who we are…should we do something about it?" Ann asked, but Ren crossed his arms.
"He seemed to be genuinely grateful for what we did, so I guess it wouldn't hurt to let him keep doing what he's doing," Ren shrugged, crossing his arms.
"I agree, besides having a website where people can post their problems would make it easier to find targets" Morgana admitted, as Ryuji leaned back.
"Speaking of which I've been looking at the website and none of these posts are any good. Everyone's just bitching' about their parents or their boyfriends…not even a hint at a Palace" Ryuji sighed, swiping through the phone.
"We don't necessarily need someone bad enough that they have a Palace" Morgana said making Ann blink "Really? Why's that? ".
"I'll explain later, for now we just need to find someone's name who seems pretty bad" Morgana stated, as Ren looked at the phone.
"We have all day to find someone on the Phansite, let's just keep looking…" Ren sighed, still looking through his phone before they heard the door open.
"You know the roof has been closed off right?" They heard, with Morgana quickly going to hide as Makoto walked in.
"Oh…" Ann pouted, losing what enthusiasm she had which confused Ren.
Ryuji looked less than thrilled to see this girl as well. "... We'll get outta here once we're done chattin'. Anyways, what's Miss Council President want with us?"
"Ah, so she's the student council president" Ren muttered, as he leaned next to the table.
For a moment Makoto studied the three as her eyebrows raised a bit. "The troublemaker, the girl of rumour and the infamous transfer student…quite the interesting combination for a friend group, all specific victims of Kamoshida."
"Yeah how shocking, because abuse victims have never come together for support" Ren said sarcastically.
"By the way, I was wondering if I could get some context for what Mr Kamoshida said about you? He did so much stuff to you, it would help to know how it started" Makoto asked, as Ren smirked.
"Sure, first of all he punched me in the face after pointing out his insecurities with All Might" Ren explained, crossing his arms "Guess he was quite pissed at me "He was trying to convince me to go on his side after what happened to Shiho so he could make Ryuji and Mishima his Scapegoat, guess he got pretty pissed after that so he tried putting all the blame on me".
"Yeah dude has pretty bad…what's the name for a fear of losing attention?" Ryuji asked, before shrugging. "Look, what's all this about? My friend here's an upstanding guy, he's helped a lot of people from Kamoshida and even won the Quirk relay, he doesn't deserve this stuff".
"I don't mean to offend, it's just that a lot of students have been shaken up by Mr Kamoshida's confession…even the rumours about that odd calling card-esque posting aren't going away either, makes you wonder if it could be one of the students trying to get back at him" Makoto wondered, as Ryuji and Ann looked at each other.
"I didn't expect someone like you would care about that tactless stuff, Niijima-senpai." Ann smiled, causing Ryuji to pout.
"I wouldn't say it was tactless…" Ryuji pouted before shaking his head "Anyway, are we done here? We can't exactly leave if you keep asking questions".
"At least try to understand my position. Being forced to deal with this horseplay..." Makoto sighed, which annoyed Ann.
"Horseplay?!" Ann yelled, but Ren stopped her from doing anything before looking over at Makoto who turned around.
"Ah yes, by the way Amamiya-kun... Principal Kobayakawa was looking for you, something about your trip to the U.A. sports festival" Makoto explained, before taking her leave.
"Hah, what was all of that about?" Ann questioned, crossing her arms.
"She's onto us" Morgana said, jumping from his hiding place "We definitely should be cautious around her".
"Tch, she really pisses me off…you are two, right Ren?" Ryuji asked, looking over at Ren who shrugged.
"Meh, not really" Ren admitted, rubbing his head "I can understand her situation, the principal is probably forcing her to look into it to stop all the unwanted attention".
"That does sound like something he'd do" Ryuji nodded, before turning to Morgana "So what do we do now?".
"There's somewhere I wanna take you guys after school, but for now focus on finding some targets" Morgana said, as Ren stood up.
"Then I'm gonna head over to the Principal Office, hopefully it won't be bad news" Ren said, waving them bye as he headed to the school.
Shibuya station
Third person P.O.V.
"They're cancelling your trip to the U.A. Sports Festival?!" Ryuji gawked, as they walked off the train from school.
"Yeah, they said that the Kamoshida incident may cause some unwanted attention to me so U.A. decided to revoke the trip" Ren sighed, rubbing his head "Lucky they said they're preparing something else that'll be happening next month".
"Still though, that's pretty shitty…I mean this was VIP tickets to one of the biggest events in the world" Ann exclaimed, crossing her arms "I was kinda looking forward to it to be honest…if you were inviting us".
"Well of course, you're the only friends I got here" Ren shrugged, making the others smile "Anyway, did you guys find any targets".
"Yup, check this out" Ann smiled, as she showed Ren and Morgana her phone.
"Please help us, there is a Delinquent transfer student in our school who could go off anytime" Morgana read out, as Ren looked up with a raised eyebrow.
"Sorry, wrong one" Ann apologised while scrolling through her phone.
"There was a weird large amount of ones targeting you dude" Ryuji admitted, rubbing his head.
"Ah here it is, 'I don't know what to do about my ex who's stalking me. His name is Natushiko Nakanohara'...Is this one any good Morgana? It says he's a teller at city hall" Ann asked, making the cat smirk.
"That should be a suitable target," Morgana grinned, as Ryuji leaned back.
"A government guy is stalking someone…creepy" Ryuji shivered, as Ren crossed his arms.
"So what do we do now?" Ren asked, prompting Morgana to look over at him.
"Boot up the app if you can and put in his name," Morgana explained, making Ryuji grin.
"We're going to go straight into a palace? Fine by me" Ryuji smiled, but Ann pouted.
"Hey, what happened to this be a unanimous decision…what do you think Ren?" Ann asked, looking over at him.
"Well we don't exactly have anyone else, so why not" Ren shrugged, prompting Ann to sigh.
"You two are way too laid back about this…fine, let's do it" Ann admitted in defeat as Ren pulled out his phone.
"So we got a name…but what about the location? We don't exactly know this guy" Ren asked but Morgana shook his head.
"We don't need a location this time, just say his name along with 'Mementos'" Morgana told him, causing Ren to raise an eyebrow.
"Mementos? Well alright" he shrugged, before activating the app.
"Natushiko Nakanohara. Mementos."
BEGINNING NAVIGATION
The teens then blinked as everything around them began getting distorted, until all of the people around them suddenly disappeared
"Huh?! What happened to the people! Everyone disappeared!" Ren gasped, looking around before seeing Ann tripping a bit.
"And why does it feel like I'm walking on air?" she questioned, as she tried getting back up.
"Is this meant to be Nakanohara's Palace?" Ryuji asked, as Morgana smirked.
"Something like that, follow me and I'll explain" Morgana grinned, as he ran into the train station with the others following him.
Mementos
Third person P.O.V.
"Dang how deep is this place" Ryuji said, as the four of them walked down stairs of the station until finally they hit their location.
Mementos looked like a normal train station but with a deep red aura all around the place with a flowing black energy flowings around the station
"Phew finally we're, wait what?!" Ann gasped, as the teens looked down and they found they were in their Thieves' clothes.
"Heh, seems you finally noticed" Mona smirked, leaping on the pass scanner while crossing his arms.
"What's going on? Has the shadows already noticed us" Joker asked, making Mona smirk.
"Oh yeah, since we first got here…don't worry though, they never come up here" Mona said, as Skull looked over at him.
"So what the heck is this place anyway" Skull asked, as Mona turned to them.
"This is Mementos, think of it as everyone's Palace" Mona said, confusing the teens.
"Huh? What are you talking about Mona" Panther questioned, as Mona looked up.
"A Palace as grand as Kamoshida's only forms when someone's desire has become exceptionally distorted, so instead of many individual Palaces, the public has one gigantic shared Palace, that's where we are…Mementos' ' Mona explained but it only confused them more.
"Now that you mention it, this place does feel really different from Kamoshida's Palace," Panther noted, as she looked around.
"Wait hold up, how can they be all put together even though they are strangers?" Skull asked, as Joker looked at him.
"If I'm getting this right, Mementos is like one big tree made up of everyone's desires and the other Palaces are meant to be fruit that grows off the trees, am I right?" Joker wondered, making Mona smirk.
"Couldn't have said it better myself, and after a bit of searching I found that thanks to your App we can find where specific people's Shadows are in this place" Mona smirked, looking around.
"So we can change people's hearts and steal their treasure even if they don't have a Palace" Panther gasped, with Mona smirking "Exactly".
"But how are we meant to go through here? This place looks pretty big so I doubt we could go by foot" Skull noted, looking down the elevator.
"Fufufu, guess it's finally time I show you all…MY TRUE POWER!" Mona grinned, before striking a pose as everyone looked at him.
"MOR~~~GANA~ HENSHIN!" he yelled, with his body shining before he jumped into the air.
"HOLY SHIT!" All of them yelled, as they saw Mona suddenly transformed into a large bus.
"Hehe, what do you guys think?" Mona said, from the car's radio as they walked up to him.
"Dude! Why didn't you tell us you had a Quirk! And an awesome one too!" Skull grinned, looking at the bus.
"This is your Quirk?! You're a shapeshifter!" Joker gawked, looking at the bus before realising something "Wait, but then why did you never turn yourself human".
"I only got my Quirk recently so I still don't know the full ropes to it, the best I can turn into are birds and other animals the same size as me. But when I'm in here I feel a lot more energised so I can turn into this form for as long as I want" Mona grinned, but Panther turned her head.
"But I thought you said Quirks couldn't be used in the Metaverse" she asked, making the bus honk.
"Excellent question Lady Ann, the reason why your Quirks wouldn't work was because of the Palace Rulers cognition right? But since this place is everyone's Palace your Quirks work just fine" Mona explained, as Joker confirmed this by activating his Quirk.
"Well that's certainly handy" Joker grinned, as he looked over at the bus before realising something "Wait, are you able to drive yourself too?".
"Uuuuuuummmmm"
"I'll take that as a no" Joker sighed, before the Thieves got into the car with Joker getting behind the wheel.
"Wait a minute…can you drive?"
"Hehehehe…nope" Joker smirked, dashing off as Skull and Panther screamed in fear.
The drive through Mementos was quite the perilous one as they were met by several shadows that they would have to fight.
However the drive wasn't all bad as Joker managed to get some new Persona's added to his repertoire.
Not only that but they also managed to find some treasure chests that contained items which made their journey through the Palace that much easier.
Eventually they spotted an especially distorted area of Mementos which Mona had instructed them to enter, which led them to finding someone inside who was covered in a dark aura.
"Hey is that Nakanohara's shadow?" Panther asked, as they got out of the car.
"Looks like it, Shadows usually hang around places like these when they're on the road to making Palaces" Mona said, as he returned to normal.
"Lemme see. Some front desk guy at city hall became a stalker, right?" Skull asked, as Joker confirmed it with a nod.
"Yeah, we don't know how much evil's he's really done but we'll have to stop him before he gets worse" Joker declared, with the others nodding before they walked up to Nakanohara as he noticed them.
"Who are you!" Shadow Nakanohara yelled, glaring at them with his golden eyes.
"Can it you bastard!" Panther growled, glaring at him "You're that stalker right? Have you ever considered how your ex feels!".
"Shut up! She's my property. I can do whatever the hell I want with her!" Shadow Nakanohara shot back, glaring at the thieves "How dare you act like that when you have no idea how she treated me! The only reason she cared about me was because of my status as Madarame's student! Now that that's gone she just threw me away! I won't let that happen!".
"And what? You think things'll get better if you obsess over her! You can't treat someone like that just because they did it to you" Skull yelled, glaring at him "We're gonna change the hearts of all the bastards like you."
"Hah! Please, if you really believed you'd go after the real monster Madarame! He stole everything from me and that doesn't even compare to what he did to my brothers and sisters who tried standing up to him!" He shot back, confusing the thieves.
"Madawhome? Don't think changing the subject will stop us from changing your heart" Joker declared, causing Nakanohara to glare at him.
In a manner not too dissimilar to how Kamoshida transformed, Natsuhiko changed. Unlike Kamoshida's big, hulking monstrosity of a form, he turned into a simple Imp-like shadow with the same bowl cut as him. This Shadow was called Obariyon
"Alright guys, here he comes!" Mona yelled, as the Shadow dashed towards them.
"Huh? Gah!" Joker cringed, as he was suddenly punched back by the incoming shadow.
"Joker! Grr, bastard!" Mona yelled, dashing towards Obariyon with his sword at the ready.
Jumping into the air Mona delivers a slash towards Obariyon who easily blocked the attack much to Mona's surprise, with the shadow taunting the not-cat with his annoying giggles before punching him back.
"Hey! Stop giggling like that, you jerk!" Skull yelled, dashing towards the shadow and swinging at it with his bat sending the monster flying back.
"You okay Joker?" Panther asked, as she had Panther heal him up.
"Thanks, but this guy is surprisingly tough," Joker growled, as Mona and Ryuji moved towards them.
"Got any plans, leader?" Mona asked, looking up at Ren who thought about it.
"If I can use my Quirk and Persona at the same time, I may be able to hold him off enough to use a spell that'll weaken his defence" Ren suggested, before looking at the others "You guys prepare some elemental attack and we'll try to find his weakness to do maximum damage".
The others nodded at that before breaking off as Joker towards the shadow while firing his energy bullets at the shadow.
The bullets didn't hurt the shadow but it was forced to block, which gave Joker the chance to summon his Persona.
"Come Andras! Use Rakunda!" Joker called as the Persona materialised behind him before raising his hand causing an aura to cover Obariyon's body,
"Now's our chance! Zorro! Garu!" "Come on out Carman! Use Agi!" Mona and Panther called, as the pair had the persona fire their elemental attack.
However the attacks didn't do much but push the shadow back, which just left Skull who came running.
"ALRIGHT! WRECK HIM! CAPTAIN KIDD! ZIO!" Skull yelled, as the Pirate Persona appeared behind him before firing a bolt of electricity at the Shadow who leapt out of the way.
"What! Stop moving you bastard!" Skull yelled, as he had Captain Kidd fire several more times but Obariyon dodged each one.
"Grr! That's it!" Skull roared, as he dashed towards Oabriyon while charging up his Quirk before throwing a powerful kick at the shadow knocking it back.
The Obariyon got back up before a large shock of electricity shot through his body/
"Awright! New Quirk for the win!" Skull pumped as Joker walked up and patted his shoulder.
"Heh, not bad Skull…alright guys, follow my lead, '' Joker called, as they all dashed towards the Shadow.
"Guys, let's finish the rest off together with an All Out Attack!" "Right!".
All four then rushed in before jumping into the air, attacking the shadow in all directions before dashing past him.
All four of then struck a pose, with Joker fixing his glove, Skull doing a rock out sign, Mona crossing his arms with a grin and Ann doing a cute pose with a peace sign,
Behind them we see energy in the Obariyon burst out before he exploded behind them which was followed by the Shadow returning to normal.
"A-Alright…I'll admit it…what I was doing was…please forgive me" Shadow Nakanohara admitted, getting back up "The man…who I taught everything I knew…who was like father to us all…was just using me and just threw me out on to the streets…and that was just him sparing me…that's what caused my fixation with her".
"An evil teacher? You mean that Madarame guy?" Joker asked, with Shadow Nakanohara nodding.
"Yes…she was the last thing I had that wasn't taken by him! I couldn't lose her too…please forgive me…" Nakanohara begged, as Panther sighed.
"I guess…hearing it from his perspective I can understand, but what you did to her was still crossing too many lines" Panther yelled, still glaring at him.
"Yes, I understand that now…I'll put my love for her to an end…but if it's okay, can I make a request to you guys?" he asked, surprising the thieves.
"A request from a shadow? Didn't see this one coming" Mona blinked, surprised.
"I heard about you guys, you change hearts right? Can you please change Madarame's heart!" he begged them with tears welling up in his eyes "Because of him…so many of my brothers and sisters were taken away from me, never to be seen again…and what's worse is that there's still a young man who's working under him…he shouldn't have what happened to the others happen to him, so please I beg you…change Madarame's heart before it's too late!".
"What do you think we should do Joker…" Skull asked, crossing his arms as Joker sighed.
"We can't make any promises right now…but we'll at least look into Madarame and what he's doing," Joker said, making Nakanohara smile.
"Alright then…I believe in you" Nakanohara smiled, as he slowly dissolved into light leaving a glowing blue orb.
"What's that?" Panther asked, as Mona crossed his arms "It's the bud of a treasure, if we had left it as it was it may have become its own Palace at some point".
Reaching for the treasure, Joker found it had become a pearl necklace…most likely something from his girlfriend.
"So he's had a change of heart now right?" Skull asked, crossing his arms.
"Most likely, we still haven't tested this new method out on the Mementos targets yet" Mona explained, as Panther sighed.
"But how are we meant to know that this actually worked?" Panther wondered, with Joker looking over at her.
"We'll just have to wait for the client to say something on the website I guess, for now let's keep going. This place is a good training spot with all the shadows" Joker suggested, with the others nodding.
"If that's the case, there's somewhere I wanna take you guys that shouldn't be too far away and after that we'll call it a day" Mona suggested, with the others before they walked off continuing their exploration in Mementos.
And done, woo boy this chapter was jam packed with a lot of stuff but hope you guys still liked it.
I know you guys may be disappointed about the sports festival thing. I just thought it made more sense for the story, besides I got another idea that involves U.A.
Not only that but we also got the Makoto introduction which I'm really happy about since she's one of my favourite characters who will be getting more focus.
Also I have a question, should I do Jose? Just cause I can't think of anything for him to do just yet, tell me your opinion in the reviews
