Hey guys and gals, welcome back to My Hero Academia the Value of a thief and this time around its the proper start of the next arc.
Which means we'll be getting more of everyone's favourite goodboy Yusuke.
Not only that but we'll be getting a better look into Kurusu but he isn't meeting Ren yet, instead he'll be meeting another of the Phantom Thieves as we get to see a bit more of his personality.
And of course I managed to fit in a bit more Shusumi stuff which you'll be getting in here as well
So with that said, how about we get this started

Seito University Hospital
Third person P.O.V.
"Ah jeez, I hate waiting here" Ryuji groaned as he sat in the waiting room of the hospital to start his appointment. "The others get to do cool Phantom Thief spy stuff while I'm stuck here with nothing to do." He grumbled, tapping his foot. Ryuji took out his phone, letting him see that Ann had accidentally messaged in the group chat.
Group chat: We got nothing for a name
Ann: Hey Ren, you almost here? I've been waiting for a bit
Ren: Yeah just got off the train now, running over as fast as I can, also you accidentally out this in the group chat
Ann: Ah crap! Sorry Ryuji
Ryuji: It's cool I'm just in the waiting room but you two are lucky, hate having to wait in this hospital
Ann: Which hospital are you btw
Ryuji: Seito University Hospital, why do you ask?
Ann: Oh! That's the one Shiho is staying
Ren: Wait seriously? Weird coincidence.
Ryuji: Oh shit seriously, cool I might go and visit her.
Ann: Tell her I say hi!
Ren: Doesn't he need the room number?
Ann: Oh crap right, um I think it was on the second floor and room 25.
Humming, Ryuji got up and got permission from one of the nearby nurses to go and visit his classmate.
"Kinda surprised Shiho's already in a shared room." Ryuji said to himself as he headed towards the girls room. "Then again, Ren did say All Might felt guilty about it, maybe he got one of his hero friends to help her out." Ryuji guessed, before realising, "I probably shouldn't be talking to myself, huh?… Dang, I wish I could talk to my Persona again." Ryuji sighed as he reached for the door.
Reaching for the door, Ryuji took a deep breath and pushed the door open.
"Yo Suzui, surprise-oh." Ryuji blinked, seeing that the room was empty, except for a girl looking out the window before turning to him.
The girl looked to be a year younger than him, with long brown hair that looked to be unshelved brown hair, and she had brown baggy eyes and a beauty mark under her right eye. She was wearing a hospital gown and had bandages around her arms with her legs being covered by the blanket.
"Oh uh sorry, am I in the wrong room?" Ryuji asked.
"You're looking for Suzui right? Yeah, this is her room, she's just having a meeting with the doctor right now" The girl explained.
Ryuji sighed. "Ah right that makes sense. Guess I'll just have to go back and wait for my appointment, these things are the worst."
"Oh my gosh, I know, right?!" He heard, before looking over at the girl giggling.
"It always takes freaking forever and they barely tell you anything!" The girl said, making Ryuji smirk.
"I know! Last time they said to wait two months for my next appointment after waiting like 3 hours! Now I have to wait another 3 just to be told my legs are just a little bit better!" Ryuji vented, sitting down on the chair as the girl laughed some more.
"You know Suzui is gonna be back soon enough if you wanna hang out here and keep chatting." The girl suggested.
"For real? Sure, why not?" Ryuji grinned, sitting down as they began chatting away.
Opening: Flyers from Death Parade, lyrics be Leeandlie
WOAH! OH! WOAH! OH! OH! YEAH! YEAH!
In the middle of the city we see a gigantic statue of the number 1 hero All Might, however on his chest was a spray painted logo of a top hat and mask with flame coming out the eyes.
YEAH! YEAH! OW!
We then see a blur zoom past the statue, with the camera barely following its movements.
It's your haze of delusion versus reality
We see Joker running from rooftop to rooftop, with a light shining on him as several helicopters chased after him
Just keep stirring the pot to find your individuality
Arsene then flew up behind him before Joker jumped off the rooftop and grabbed his partner's Chain to help him fly.
Delete another problem that is plaguing your mind
We next see Skull running down the highway as several police cars chased after him, a wild grin on his face as he ran
From day to day! To end to end! That's entertainment of our lives
Captain kidd then sailed up and caught Skull as he cheered into the night sky, as face of pure joy behind him
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! Dancing through the skies
Several paint marks were slashed at the walls, as we see Fox painting everything in the alleyway around him
Let's celebrate our time, and party while we're still alive
He then spun around as Goemon showed and blew his smoke allowing the paint to glow revealing he had painted different hero posters and stop signs.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! Dancing through the skies
Panther then jumped down onto some train tracks and began dancing, as she began spinning around like a Ballerina
Kick your worries to the side and aim up to the sky.
Carmine then appeared behind her, and below a flaming tornado that spun around her as she smiled up at the beauty.
EVERYBODY! Put your hands up!
We see Queen riding on Johana with Mona on her back, as the two of them drove up an elevator through a window.
We'll be flying~ Can you imagine it?
We see a large UFO flying above the city with Oracle inside, before she tapped a few commands into it
Search and you'll find the stage set within your dreams.
The UFO then began flashing several colours like a Disco Ball that lit up the entire city.
The place where you're the one
Down below we see Noir and Milady dancing like in a ball on Shibuya crossing before the two spun around.
That's where you're meant to be!
Noir then struck a pose as Milady revealed the variety of guns below her dress.
EVERYBODY!
We then see the Thieves falling through the sky towards a variety of statues of Pro Heroes.
Put your hands up!
We see both Panther and Mona aiming firing their guns at a statue of Ryukyu which crumbled into pieces.
We'll be flying!
Then Skull and Fox quickly moved past a large statue Edgeshot, cutting it in half.
Can you imagine it?
Next we see Queen and Noir crashing, punching the large statue of endeavour into pieces.
Search and you'll find the stage you set within your dreams
In the UFO we see Oracle typing in a few more codes with a grin on her face, before snapping her fingers causing her UFO to drop a huge bomb towards the All Might statue.

Joker then grinned as Arsene threw him towards the bomb which he shot with his pistol causing a huge explosion of colours.
FLYIN! Within these memories!
We see the whole team of Phantom Thieves cheering at the beautiful explosion they were witnessing.
FLYING! That you're slowly forgetting!
Joker smirked before he spun around and landed towards the ground as the train passed by him.
Just listen close to the song that lies within you~
Ren then gets up in his school uniform with Morgana in his bag, before he waved to us and walked back towards the crowd of people passing by.

Art Exhibit
Third person P.O.V.
"Huh? There you are" Ann said, as she turned her attention towards Ren running up to her.
"Sorry I'm late, kinda overslept" Ren apologised as Morgana popped out.
"See this is why you should follow my carefully detailed sleep schedule" Morgana chastised, looking at him.
"And get the late fees with the DVDs we rented? No thank you" Ren shot back.
"Will you two keep it down, we don't want attention! And you, if you have to come along stay in the bag" Ann demanded, glaring at the two.
"Y-Yes ma'am!" Morgana agreed, quickly hiding back in the bag.
"Sooooo, who did you end up using the extra ticket for? Are we still waiting for them" Ren asked with a raised eyebrow as Ann smiled.
"Oh she came, she's just…hanging around" Ann explained, looking past Ren making him raise an eyebrow.
He then proceeded to look behind him to see Yoshizawa who was currently in a sneaking position with an awkward look on her face.
"H-Hello S-Senpai, f-fancy meeting you here" She sweatdropped, while trying to laugh innocently.
"Sumi? What are you-" Ren questioned, before realising what was going on and looking back at Ann who was innocently whistling.
"Yeah, Takamaki-senpai invited me to this since your other friend couldn't make it," Yoshizawa explained, with a smile.
"Guess that makes sense, certainly better then bringing someone scared of me just wish I was told" Ren said, giving a side eye to Ann who smirked.
"Oh come on, it was the perfect chance to scare ya!" Ann smiled, before spinning around "Anyway! Let's go before this thing ends".
With a nod the three of them made their way into the exhibit which looked to be filled with people including art critics, news reporters and devoted fans of Madarame.
"Aha! You made it! Excellent!" They heard, before looking over to see Yusuke walking up to them.
"Oh…surprising, didn't expect you to come?" Yusuke noted, looking over at Ren as he rubbed his head.
"I mean would you have rathered we sold the extra tickets," Ren asked, crossing his arms.
"Just make sure you don't get in the way of the other-" Yusuke warned before his eyes widened when he saw Yoshizawa "And who is this?".
"Oh I'm their Kouhai from school, Takamaki-senpai invited me since Sakamoto-senpai had an appointment" She explained, before blinking in surprise at Yusuke's intense gaze
"AH! Such a beauty! A simple form that holds a true graceful energy! As if I am witnessing a ruby in human form!" Yusuke praised, as he framed Yoshizawa with his fingers.
"Um…I…um" Yoshizawa stuttered, looking very anxious but Ren moved in front of her.
"Don't you think you should be focusing on your current muse?" Ren asked, as Yusuke stepped back.
"Ah yes! Of course, please follow me and we can talk about the modelling job as we walk around" Yusuke suggested, turning to Ann who looked back at the others.
"Well um, catch you guys later I guess" Ann waved, as the two walked off.
"Oh geez! She's gonna be okay right! He's not gonna take her anywhere funny right?" Mona asked, sounding really anxious but Ren elbowed his bag to keep him quiet.
"Are you doing okay, Sumi?" Ren asked, turning to Yoshizawa who took a few breaths.
"Y-Yeah, sorry just didn't expect to be suddenly flirted with out of nowhere" she apologised, as Ren rubbed his head.
"Don't mind him, from what I've seen I think he was just going to ask you to model for him or something" Ren guessed, leaning on the wall "He did basically the same thing with Ann".
"Seriously" Yoshizawa blinked, making Ren laugh a bit.
"Yeah, he basically has no filter" Ren admitted, before shaking his head "Anyway shall we go?".
"Hehe, sure thing Senpai" Yoshizawa smiled, as the two walked into the exhibit.
The exhibit was actually surprisingly impressive, with even Ren being surprised at the sheer variety of different styles and types of art around the exhibit.
This included things like landscapes, self portraits, painting of different items and even portraits of different heroes.
"Huh, you know I heard he had a variety of different styles but I didn't expect them to be this good," Yoshizawa admitted while looking around.
"Yeah, I honestly thought this would be more like those really fancy places where art is literally just a splash of paint," Ren agreed, crossing his arms as they walked around.
"What kind of artwork do you like, Senpai? Or are you not into this stuff" Yoshizawa asked, leaning over at him as Ren scratched his cheek.
"I won't lie and say I haven't been interested but it's mostly weird stuff like trash statues or something" Ren explained, looking over at his Kouhai ``What about you?".
"Never really thought about it…ooh but I guess Landscapes?" Yoshizawa guessed, before spotting one "Ah! Speak of the devil''.
Examining the painting Ren had to admit it did look impressive, looking to be a landscape painting of a coast side in Okinawa.
"Huh, you're right this is good I guess you got an eye for this stuff" Ren admitted, making Yoshizawa laugh awkwardly.
"Honestly I was just trying to pick one at random" Yoshizawa sweatdropped, while poking her fingers.
Ren squinted his eyes as he saw a tiny black silhouette that looked to be the shape of a person, but it was so small you could barely see it 'Weird, why would Madarame put something like this on there…? He could have just removed it…'.
"Ah! I see you have an eye for one of Madarame sensei's landscape painting" They heard.
Looking over, the two friends saw a relatively tall and muscular young man with a wide frame. He has short dark blue hair, flattened neatly down and parted on the right side of his head, a small patch completely shaved near the base of his head, and rather square eyes which match the notably pointed shape of his jaw. He also has a serious expression on his face with even his eyebrows seem permanently pointed inwards, quite thin and long, the far ends sharply hooked inwards, and he wears glasses with rectangular lenses. Looking downward you can see that because of his Quirk he possesses calves that are incredibly thick, and shaped like automobile engines, with six silver exhaust pipes protruding from each leg in columns of three.
"Ah um yes, we thought it looked really nice, '' Yoshizawa nodded, with a sweatdrop.
"Oh right, sorry about suddenly walking up to you. I just don't usually see people my age at places like this, "he explained, with Ren and Yoshizawa nodding.
"No prob, we're just here cause my friend is being scouted by the artist's student and he gave us extra tickets" Ren explained, crossing his arms "What about you? You don't exactly look like you'd be the type of person that would be here".
"Ah, well you see-" "Tenya!".
The three blinked before looking over at a girl who looked about 5 years older than them.
They had messy blue hair with a blue hat over her head and grey eyes/ wearing a blue shirt with black suspenders and a yellow tie along with a pair of black trousers and black shoes. On her back was a pair of thrusters similar to the ones on her companions' calves.
"I understand you're excited but could you not run off like that, it's hard enough moving around here as is" The woman sighed, making the boy blink.
"Ah! My deepest apologies Nee-san" he apologised, with a quick bow "I just had to see Madarame-sensei's new work and got distracted talking to these two".
"Huh?! You're Shirogane Naoto!" Yoshizawa gasped, making Ren raise an eyebrow.
"You've heard of me?" Naoto blinked, looking at the girl "Now that you mention it, you do look kind of familiar".
"Ah, you did an interview on my dad's tv station, Good Morning Japan" Yoshizawa explained, making the girl blink.
"Oooh, with Akechi-kun that's right!" Naoto blinked, before smiling "I had almost forgotten about that, how is your father".
As the two were talking, Ren moved up to Tenya with a confused look "So is your sister famous or something".
"She's my cousin actually and yes! She's a well known detective that helped solve several difficult cases including a murder spree out in the countryside, she's even referred to as the Detective Prince" Tenya explained, with a look of pride.
"Huh…so what's a Detective Prince doing here?" Ren asked, with a raised eyebrow and crossing his arms.
Noticing his questions, Naoto looked over at the teen and was about to say something but then paused.
"Uh, something up?" Ren asked, but Naoto shook her head.
"Nothing, you just looked somewhat familiar is all" she denied while shaking her head "Im working on a case involving the disappearance of several of Madarame-sensei's students, so I asked my cousin here to help me out".
"Eh?! Disappeared" Yoshizawa gasped, as Ren thought clasped his mouth.
'Is this a part of what that Nakanohara guy was talking about' Ren thought, looking aside.
They then began hearing some commotion going on, making the four blink before they moved over to take a look.
They were shocked to see the Madarame they were just talking about utilising his Quirk to walk out of the painting like it was water.
"Impressive as always Madarame-sensei, with your Quirk you have a connection to art that no one else can possibly have" An interviewer smiled, but Madarame shook his head.
"Now, don't give me too much credit. All I've wanted to do is re-experience the many different places I have seen throughout my years utilising my Quirk, if anything I'm quite selfish" Madarame smiled.
"But you have such expansive styles! It's hard to believe they all come from one person" The reporter said "Where in the world does all your inspiration come from".
"Well…it is rather difficult to put into words…I would have to say that they naturally welled up from within my heart, like bubbles rising one after another in a hot spring" Madarame explained "What's important is to distance yourself from worldly desires such as money and fame".
"Even my atelier is a modest shack, but it is more than enough to pursue true beauty" he finished off, making Ren raise an eyebrow.
'A shack huh…' Ren thought, as Morgana whispered to him.
"It's hard to believe someone like him has a Palace…" Morgana whispered, with Ren nodding "Yeah, you could say that again".
"I see…so the act of emptying one's mind gives rise to inner beauty! Such an excellent answer from such a prestigious man like Madarame" Tenya smiled, with a prideful look.
"Right, I never expected such a nice old man," Yoshizawa smiled, as Naoto crossed her arms.
"Still odd that there is so much controversy coming from him…" Naoto mused, before suddenly loads of people came rushing in.
"Oh my gosh! It's really him!" "It's Madarame!" "Please! Answer our questions!" "Take me under your tutelage!" "Draw a painting for me!".
"WOAH! HEY! HEY!" Ren yelled, as they began getting swarmed by the large group of people.
While Ren was having his trouble, Ann seemed to be enjoying her time here as she and Yusuke walked around the museum at the different artworks of the great artist Madarame, until finally she spotted one in the distance.
"Wait, I know this one!" Ann squealed as she pointed to a specific painting. "I'm not that good at interpreting the meaning of art pieces, but I'm guessing Madarame must've been really mad when he made this one."
When Ann said this, a frown formed on Yusukes face as she stared at a spot on the paint before he tried to walk away from Ann, but stayed out where she was.
"Where are you going?" Ann questioned, looking back at him.
"I never liked that one…" Yusuke said with a monotone voice "Come, I can show you a much better one".
"But it's so good though…" Ann muttered, before feeling her phone vibrate and checking her phone.
Ren: Crowd got crazy and we got pushed out, gonna walk Yoshizawa to the train station. Let's meet up at the Diner in Shibuya and discuss what we do next.
Ryuji: Cool, I'm just about done here too so I can meet up with you guys
Ann frowned at Ren leaving without her but shook her head and turned back over to Yusuke 'Not exactly his fault for getting pushed out, guess I should at least go and see if I can get any information'.
"So Yusuke, just curious but how does Madarame get to be the master in so many different styles" Ann asked, as the artist simply smiled.
"Why it's quite simple, Madarame is special. Why else would he be a master in so many different styles" Yusuke smiled.
'That vagueness isn't setting off any red flags' Ann thought, before shaking her head "That's quite impressive, I'm sure Madarame must have a ton of students learning from him".
"Ah! Yes…well um…" Yusuke muttered, looking down a bit.
"Hey are you okay?" Ann asked, with a worried look on her face.
"Oh yes, I'm quite alright but I believe I should go help my master now, he does seem to be getting quite swamped but please if you have decided to take me up on my offer then come to our home, here is the address" he said, before writing it down a piece of paper.
"Oh um, alright thanks" Ann murmured, taking the paper and watching the boy walk off with a look of worry.
Diner
Third person P.O.V.
"I'm telling ya dude, this girl is freaking great" Ryuji grinned, as he and Ren sat in the diner waiting for Ann while eating some fries they had ordered.
"She's funny, she knows about all kinds of sports and stuff, she was freaking awesome" Ryuji grinned, as Ren smirked while leaning back.
"So you're saying you like her?" Ren asked, as Ryuji put it into his chip while shaking his head.
"Nah man, she's way out of my league but it's just nice you know, not having someone treating me like the bad guy 24/7 you know" Ryuji shrugged, making Ren nod.
"Well still, no one could hold a candle to Lady Ann" Morgana smirked, making the other two sweat drop.
"Sorry I'm late, you were right the place was packed" They heard, looking over to see Ann walking in before sitting next to Ryuji.
"Welcome back, now let's get started" Ren smiled, as the others nodded "Let's start with what we learned".
"The two of us found out that there's an investigation going on around Madarame, something about a lot of his students disappearing, as well as what his Quirk is, which is going into paintings' ' Morgana explained, as Ann crossed her arms.
"That actually lines up with what I found out, when I asked Yusuke about any of the other students he started acting weird and tried avoiding the question," Ann explained, as Ryuji crossed his arms.
"So what? You think he's using his Quirk to trap people in paintings" Ryuji questioned, but Ren shook his head.
"Nah, I looked up about his Quirk on the internet, apparently only he can enter and leave the paintings…" Ren sighed, shaking his head "Anything else?".
"Let's see, oh! I got their address from Yusuke as well in case I'm ever gonna take his offer" Ann remembered, as she pulled out the address.
"Oh yeah, Madarame mentioned that, and said it was like some kind of shack," Morgana noted, causing Ryuji to blink.
"A shack?...Oh! That's right" Ryuji grinned, snapping his fingers before pulling out his phone.
"What's up?" Ren asked, as Ryuji scrolled through his phone.
"I remember seeing a post on the Phansite mentioning something about a shack, so I thought maybe it has something to do with it…here it is!" he grinned, before looking over it.
"Come on, what's it say?" Ann asked, getting excited with Ryuji nodding.
"A Master of the Japanese Arts is plagiarising his pupils' works. Only his public face is being seen on Tv- ""Plagiarising!".
"Yeah, I found it weird they'd use the word Shack but now that I know about how Madarame lives it all makes sense, check this out" Ryuji nodded, as he continued reading.
"His treatment of the pupils who live with him is awful. He teaches nothing and just bosses them around, treating them in humanly as if discipling a dog and what's worse anyone who tries reporting the problem or get back at him have disappeared in one way or another"
"An disappearance huh, this is too many times we've heard that just to be a coincidence, and Abuse on top of Plagiarism, hm…" Morgana hummed, as Ryuji grinned.
"If this is real then it'll be a huge scandal!" Ryuji grinned, excitedly.
"Not only that but maybe we can find out what happened to the students and save them, we'd be like real heroes" Ren nodded, happily.
"I wonder if Kitagawa-kun was the one who posted this, I mean he is a pupil of Madarame as well" Ann wondered, while Ryuji shrugged.
"Who knows, it's anonymous and all" Ryuji shrugged, as Morgana smirked.
"Then that must mean, the Madarame we heard in Mementos is possibly the same guy" Morgana mused, as Ann sighed.
"But a nice old man like that is doing something like this…" Ann frowned, crossing her arms "I wonder if we could ask that shadow from earlier about this".
"Doubt it, they went back to their original body and I doubt we could just walk up to the real version and be like 'hey, we met your repressed thoughts mind telling us more about Madarame''' Ren jokes.
"And there's also the possibility that Madarame would find out and make us disappear in a similar way," Morgana pointed out, which made Ann frown.
"Oh yeah, fair point" Ann sighed leaning back "If only there was someone we could ask about this".
"I mean there was that detective, but she'd definitely find it suspicious if we go up and ask her" Morgana sighed, shaking his head.
'I could ask him but…' Ren thought, looking away a bit before shaking his head 'No way, not happening…I'm not talking to him ever again'.
"Then it looks like our only option is to head up to Madarame's place and find out for ourselves," Ryuji nodded, making Ann blush.
"What! No way, I'm not going to model right away! I'm not ready" Ann blushed, as the others looked at her confused.
"Uh, I think he meant we're just going to ask a few questions" Ren sweatdropped, making Ann blink.
"O-Oh right, y-yeah that makes sense sorry about that" Ann sweatdropped.
"But anyway Ryuji's right, heading up to Madarame's is our best option so let's go tomorrow after school" Ren nodded before standing up.
"For now though I should be heading back before Sojiro gets on my case again" Ren sighed, taking his bag with Morgana inside before waving to his friends goodbye and paying for the fries.
A few minutes later, Ryuji and Ann finished up the fries and left the diner with Ryuji stretching.
"Ah man jeez, that check up was more tiring than I thought" Ryuji sighed, tiredly while Ann crossed her arms.
"At least you didn't have to manoeuvre through a huge group of people," Ann pointed out, making Ryuji sweat.
"Yeah that's fair, but I would have stuck out like a thumb in there" Ryuji admitted "So anyway Ann, you got any plans after this?".
"I was thinking of checking out what the cinema has before heading home, you wanna come?" Ann asked, as Ryuji shrugged.
"Sure why not, I got nothing better to do plus I heard there's a move showing that's really good" Ryuji said, making Ann smirk.
"Oh who did you hear from, could it be Shiho's roommate you were really clicking with?" Ann asked, making Ryuji jump.
"W-Wha?! What are you talking about" Ryuji asked, making Ann laugh.
"Oh come on, Shiho told me all about it" Ann grinned, as Ryuji looked down and growled.
"Damn it Suzui".
"Soooo~~~ Come on, give me the deats" Ann asked, elbowing Ryuji a bit as he grumbled.
'God, someone get me outta this awkward situation now' Ryuji begged, with his eyes closed shut.
"Excuse me, you two are from Shujin correct?" The two heard, before turning around and were surprised who was behind them.
"My name is Keichiro Kurusu, I was wondering if I could ask you a few questions about what transpired with Suguru Kamoshida a few weeks ago" Detective Kurusu asked, as Ryuji and Ann looked at each other and gulped.
And done, man that took awhile sorry that my exams came around and I kinda took a break from writing after that.
But now I'm back and managed to make this pretty small but interesting chapter, so what do you guys think of both Tenya's appearance and Naoto's appearance.
Now why did I make them cousins? Well, I was going to have Naoto show up from the start but I also needed some MHA representation so I brought him along.
And about the girl from the start of the chapter, well let's just say I'm making a lot of changes to the story of P5 just to make it a slightly happier ending.
But with that said, how about we get to the reviews.
Grandchaos Master:
Don't worry I got a plan for how I'll implement Eri's Palace but it will probably be later on and I guess I just never really thought of what Ren's hero name would be, any suggestions.
Don't forget awakening a Persona isn't the only way a Quirk can be powered up, it's just an easier way to implement a Quirk awakening, and yes Yu is one of the people trapped in the cells. As for Ren's meditation, I just wanted to have a fight scene and I thought it was a neat way to reference the challenges.
