Passing moment.
Rei couldn't help but be intrigued by the enigmatic nature of her master, Naruto. Even after five years of faithfully following him, she still couldn't quite fathom his complexity. He was a stubborn boy, driven by an unwavering passion and an insatiable thirst for self-improvement. Every moment of his existence was devoted to honing his abilities, training relentlessly to escape the suffocating grasp of an arranged marriage—an insidious web he despised.
Rei had made a silent vow that night, three years ago, to support Naruto through this torment. Seeing her master, Naruto, suffer and witness his tears had never sat well with her. He may have been their master, but he was also their friend, and she couldn't bear to see him crushed under the weight of societal expectations and personal anguish.
Startled from her thoughts, Rei's attention was abruptly drawn to a familiar voice piercing through the silence. It was Grimmjow-sama, the blue-haired male whose intense eyes exuded a potent mix of pressure and disdain. He had a commanding presence that demanded attention, and his rough demeanor only added to his enigmatic allure.
"Oi! Ya there, fucker?" Grimmjow-sama's voice cut through the air, his hand casually tucked into his pockets as he approached Rei. His words held a mix of curiosity and impatience, as if he already knew she had drifted off into her own world.
Snapping back to reality, Rei blinked rapidly, her cheeks flushing slightly. "Sorry, Grimmjow-sama," she stammered, trying to gather her thoughts. "I was lost in my own mind."
Grimmjow-sama's lips curled into a half-smirk as he leaned against a nearby wall. "Lost in your own mind, huh?" he scoffed, his voice laced with a tinge of amusement. "Well, snap out of it, Rei. Dat Phenex brat needs us now more than ever."
Rei nodded, her anxiety resurfacing. She understood the gravity of their situation, the significance of their mission. They were not mere servants or followers; they were allies, united by a common objective. The bond they shared with Naruto went beyond duty—it was an unspoken agreement to help him break free from the chains of an unwanted destiny.
Naruto had, on a few occasions, expressed his profound desire for freedom and his utter disdain for those who regarded others as mere objects to be won. From the very first day he came into existence, Rias Gremory had posed a threat to his freedom, viewing him as nothing more than a prize to showcase and claim.
In the depths of her being, Rei held knowledge of Naruto's hidden yearning—to discover love for himself. While she struggled to comprehend why anyone would actively seek such an emotion or pursuit, she chose to keep her opinions to herself, opting not to voice her thoughts on the matter.
Taking a deep breath, Rei met Grimmjow-sama's piercing gaze with renewed resolve in her eyes. "You're right, Grimmjow-sama. Naruto's struggle is our struggle. We won't let him face this battle alone. Together, we'll navigate the treacherous path ahead and pave the way for his freedom."
Grimmjow-sama's intense stare remained unyielding, devoid of any sentimentality. "That's the spirit, Rei," he responded, his voice carrying a hint of approval. "Let's get going, Gyomei and Merlin are waiting for Naruto and Ravel at this exact moment."
Rei nodded once more, An meeting with Rias Gremory wasn't a good call
~~~~~~
The tension hung thick in the air as Gyomei furrowed his brows, deep in thought. Minutes ticked by, each one stretching into an eternity. The weight of anticipation pressed upon them, the silence punctuated only by their anxious breaths.
Finally, Merlin broke the stillness, her voice somber yet laced with a touch of dark humor. "He will be trapped in that room with a girl who is determined to force him into marriage," she revealed, her expression serious and unyielding.
Gyomei's hands instinctively clasped together, his fingers intertwining as he assumed a prayer-like stance. His eyes brimmed with concern, seeking reassurance. "But Naruto... he will fight for his freedom, won't he?" he implored, his voice filled with both hope and trepidation.
Merlin's response carried the weight of her understanding, her frustration barely concealed. "I believe so," she sighed, the weariness evident in her voice. "Naruto has never been one to surrender to his circumstances. He will wage a battle, fierce and unyielding, for the freedom he so desperately craves."
The gravity of the situation hung heavy upon them. Merlin knew all too well why Naruto was taking so long to prepare himself. Every encounter with Rias Gremory followed a similar pattern, a relentless cycle of arguments and disputes. Even after Naruto's team had gained recognition as the Worst Generation, the struggle to defy the arranged marriage persisted, igniting fiery clashes between Naruto and Ravel, tearing at their very souls.
It was a clash of wills, a clash of destinies—Naruto's unwavering determination to carve his own path conflicting with the demands of tradition and expectation. The stakes were higher than ever, and the outcome of this impending confrontation would shape their futures irrevocably.
In the recesses of their minds, Gyomei and Merlin prepared themselves for the storm that lay ahead. They knew that facing Rias Gremory, alongside Sirzechs, Rias' parents, her formidable peerage, and the ever-watchful Grayfia, would be an arduous test of their mettle. But with unwavering loyalty to Naruto coursing through their veins, they steeled their resolve and braced themselves for the tumultuous journey that awaited them.
As the weight of the situation pressed upon Merlin and Gyomei, their conversation was abruptly interrupted by the arrival of Rei and Grimmjow. The air crackled with anticipation as the two newcomers joined the discussion, their presence commanding attention.
Rei's eyes sparkled with determination, her unwavering loyalty to Naruto evident in every fiber of her being. She stood tall and resolute, a pillar of strength amidst the mounting tension. Grimmjow, with his intense gaze and aura of controlled power, exuded an air of confidence and readiness.
Silently acknowledging their presence, Merlin's piercing gaze met Grimmjow's intense eyes. "You're here," she stated simply, her voice carrying a hint of approval.
Grimmjow nodded curtly, his lips curling into a half-smirk. "Wouldn't miss this for the world," he replied, his tone brimming with conviction. "Naruto's fight for freedom is our fight, after all."
Rei's voice rang out, a voice filled with her usual emotionless. "Indeed," she affirmed.
Gyomei, ever the picture of calm, offered a nod of agreement. "You're right," he stated, his voice steady.
Merlin's gaze shifted from one to another, a flicker of a smile touching her lips. "For now we should just wait them."she declared, her voice carrying a blend of confidence and urgency."
"Ahhh!? What do you mean, Buchou is already going to marry someone!?" A loud voice reverberated through the hallway, unmistakably that of a young boy.
"Rias-Buchou is engaged to the youngest son of the Phenex House, Ise. It's an important matter for her personal life as the Gremory heir," responded Akeno Himejima, her voice carrying a hint of exasperation. The two of them continued walking until they reached a stop.
Merlin sighed softly, recognizing them as members of Rias' peerage. However, she couldn't recall ever meeting this particular boy before.
"Oh, Merlin-san, you and your friends are already here?" Akeno asked, a warm smile adorning her face. But as her gaze fell upon her brother, her expression turned cold as ice. "Oh, you're here too."
"Akeno, it's been quite some time since I last saw you," Merlin replied politely, attempting to ease the tension in the air.
Akeno's attention shifted, her eyes searching for someone else. "Where is he?" she inquired, her voice laced with curiosity. But before Merlin could answer or Grimmjow could interject with his usual offensive remarks, their attention was diverted.
"We are here," announced Riser, his appearance having matured and evolved over the years. His hair was neatly tied in a high ponytail, exuding an air of sophistication, and his Queen stood regally at his side.
Accompanying Riser were Naruto, Ravel, and one of the members of Naruto's team, Seekvaira Agares, the heir to the Agares family.
Issei's gaze locked onto Naruto, his brows furrowing deeper with disapproval. He couldn't help but harbor a strong dislike for Naruto, solely because he was Rias' fiancé. The mere thought of someone taking Buchou away ignited a burning resentment within Issei, fueling his animosity towards Naruto. Even tho Issei had no idea of what was truly happening.
Naruto, however, remained calm and composed, meeting Issei's gaze with a hint of resignation. He had never met Issei before, yet he was no stranger to the hostility and jealousy that often accompanied his position as Rias' betrothed. He understood that Issei's dislike stemmed from a sense of possessiveness and fear of losing someone dear.
The room brimmed with tension, an unspoken clash of emotions and conflicting loyalties. As the members of Rias' peerage stood face to face, the weight of their individual desires and ambitions loomed heavy, casting a shadow over the imminent meeting with Rias Gremory and her family. The stage was set for a battle of wills, where alliances would be tested and destinies would converge.
2 Hours ago.
The tension was palpable as Rias Gremory sat surrounded by her peerage — her trusted comrades, her chosen family. They were a strong group, each member possessing unique abilities and fierce loyalty. However, recent developments had cast a shadow of doubt and insecurity among them.
"Buchou, are you sure about this?" Kiba questioned, his voice tinged with concern. "Naruto is no ordinary opponent. Underestimating him could lead to catastrophic consequences to your reputation."
Rias leaned back in her chair, her fingers intertwining as she contemplated the situation. "I understand the risks, Kiba," she replied, her voice measured. "But we cannot afford to back down now. This is about dominance, We can and we will win."
Akeno, her trusted [Queen, interjected with a hint of uncertainty in her voice. "Rias, have you considered the possibility that Naruto may have formed alliances with others who would help him? His determination to escape his arranged marriage may have garnered him support we are unaware of."
Rias' eyes narrowed, the weight of responsibility etched onto her face. She had always been confident in her abilities, secure in her position as the heiress of the Gremory family. But Naruto had proven to be an unpredictable wildcard in his previous non-official rating games.
"You may be right, Akeno," Rias conceded, her tone betraying a hint of frustration. "I've been so focused on Naruto himself that I may have overlooked potential strategies or ways. We cannot afford to underestimate him or those who are in his peerage."
Issei, Rias' loyal pawn, chimed in with a touch of anxiety. "What about the other members of Naruto's peerage? Do we have any information on their abilities or their level of cooperation?"
Rias sighed, her mind racing to gather the scattered pieces of information about Naruto's comrades. "Our intelligence is limited," she admitted, a twinge of frustration creeping into her voice. "But we must assume they are as strong as Naruto himself. Each member poses a unique threat, and we must be prepared for anything they might throw at us."
"Not to mention that Akeno's older brother is there as well." Rias mentioned.
The atmosphere in the room grew tense, the weight of the impending battle settling heavily on the peerage. Their commitment to Rias was foerce, but doubt lingered, fueled by the uncertainty of what lay ahead.
Rias rose from her seat, her eyes blazing with determination. "We have come too far to falter now," she declared, her voice resolute. "Naruto may be an phenex, but we will face him head-on. We will win against him, I willa place a claim on him..."
Present.
"He doesn't look that good." Issei grumbled, breaking the silence as they made their way to the main room where the reunion was to take place.
Naruto made a conscious effort to maintain his cool demeanor, refusing to let his emotions dictate his actions. He was already burdened with enough stress and didn't want to deal with any additional nonsense at the moment.
"Where is she?" Naruto asked, his gaze piercing directly into Merlin's eyes, who let out a sigh in response.
"She'll be here, or so she said," Merlin replied, catching Issei's attention with her vague response.
Issei pondered to himself, wondering if they were talking about Rias-Buchou. However, he chose not to probe further and remained silent.
The group continued on in silence, a quiet tension hanging in the air. Naruto's irritation grew with every step they took. He appeared even more agitated with each passing second.
Finally, Akeno interrupted the silence, announcing their arrival as she stopped before a pair of grand double doors and swung them open.
"We are here." Akeno announced opening the doors.
As Naruto entered the room, he took in the lavish surroundings of the Gremory mansion. The opulence did little to ease his growing frustration, and a sense of unease settled deep within him.
Grimmjow followed closely behind Naruto, observing his [King] outward calmness while sensing the smoldering anger lurking beneath the surface. He couldn't help but feel that Naruto was on the verge of unleashing a torrent of emotions, but he wisely chose not to pry, allowing Naruto to navigate the impending reunion on his own terms.
The room buzzed with an anticipatory atmosphere, as if everyone present understood the significance of this meeting. Naruto's gaze remained fixed on Merlin, their shared gaze laden with unspoken tension. Though Naruto's emotions threatened to spill over, he forced himself to maintain a facade of tranquility.
Impatience gnawed at Naruto's insides as he inquired about Rias' whereabouts. His eyes burned with a mixture of anger and frustration, yet he refused to let his true emotions show. Deep down, he yearned to see her, to unravel the mysteries that shrouded their connection.
"Where she fucking is right now?" Naruto asked out loud. No one talked back or replied. Naruto locked gazes with each one of the other Gremory on the room. Venelana, Zeoticus and Sirzechs were there.
"Kuroka is also coming." Merlin told Naruto.
Merlin's response only fueled Naruto's smoldering anger. The casual dismissal of Rias' absence grated on his nerves, but he reminded himself of the importance of patience. He had faced countless trials and tribulations in his life, and this reunion would be no different.
Issei sensing the tension between Naruto and Merlin, couldn't help but question their exchange. Thoughts raced through his mind, wondering if Rias' absence was intentional, a deliberate snub aimed at Naruto. But he held his tongue, unwilling to add further complexity to an already delicate situation.
Silence enveloped the group as they continued down the corridor, Naruto's irritation radiating in every step he took. His mind churned with a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions, a storm brewing just beneath his calm exterior. He knew he had to maintain control, to channel his anger into productive action.
"Sorry for taking so much time! I'm here!" Rias smirked as Akeno's voice sliced through the silence, announcing their arrival. The double doors swung open again. Naruto paused for a moment, his hand involuntarily clenching into a tight fist, as if preparing himself for the challenges that lay ahead.
As the others settled into their respective positions, Naruto stepped into the room, his piercing gaze scanning the faces before him. His eyes locked onto Rias, a mix of emotions welling up within him—anger, annoyance, and a flicker of longing. Yet, he maintained a tight grip on his emotions, refusing to succumb to the tempest raging within his heart.
The room brimmed with an eerie stillness, the weight of tension hanging heavy in the air. Naruto's mask of composure remained intact, concealing the storm of emotions that threatened to consume him. It was a battle within himself, a struggle to maintain control while seeking a path toward his freedom.
"Burunyan~" A feminine voice was heard as another female stepped in the room smiling. Her black cat ears twisting in her head.
"You are late." Naruto grunned.
"Perdon me King-kun! I was busy dealing with the things you asked me to you know?" Kuroka smiled walking towards Naruto's place. Right between Seekvaira and Ravel. Naruto peerage was right behind him with the exception of kuroka being by his side.
"Naruto," Rias began, her smile unwavering despite the tension in the room, . Your family lineage and sharp tongue make you stand out."
Naruto's features hardened, his arms crossed tightly over his chest. The playful banter they once shared seemed to have evaporated, replaced by a lingering animosity.
"You still look like a fucking rotten tomato," Naruto retorted, his voice dripping with sarcasm. The words were sharp, a reflection of his annoyance and unwillingness to submit to Rias' advances.
Venelana, ever the voice of reason, interjected, attempting to diffuse the escalating tension. "It would be wise for us to cease this bickering and find common ground," she suggested, her voice calm yet tinged with authority.
Rias, undeterred by Naruto's biting remark, locked eyes with him, her gaze filled with determination. "We should hasten our plans," she proposed, her voice taking on a softer, more sincere tone. "I have already completed my college education, and I find it difficult to wait another two or three years. My dear, time is of the essence."
Naruto's expression faltered for a moment, surprise flickering across his face. He gritted his teeth, his frustration mounting as he struggled to find the right words. The weight of Rias' expectations bore down on him, mingling with his own conflicting emotions.
Silence hung in the air, thick with unspoken desires and uncharted territory. Naruto's thoughts raced, his mind a whirlwind of conflicting emotions. He knew that accepting Rias' proposal would alter the course of his life, binding him to a path he was not entirely sure he was ready to tread.
Rias maintained her sweet smile, masking the vulnerability that lay beneath. She had laid her cards on the table, baring her pride and desires, and now the ball was in Naruto's court.
In that charged moment, the room seemed to hold its breath, the weight of their unspoken connection pressing against their chests. The clock ticked away, each passing second marking a decision that could shape their destinies.
As Naruto stood in silence, his mind a tempest of thoughts and emotions
The room was charged with anticipation as Rias, fueled by a mix of arrogance and pride, seized the opportunity to advance her agenda. Her eyes locked onto Naruto, a glint of eagerness shining within them.
"Naruto," she began, her voice carrying a persuasive tone, "I have been thinking about our future together. The idea of us marrying holds immense potential for both our families. You, with your incredible power and strength, would be a remarkable conquest for the Gremory family."
Naruto remained silent, his expression unreadable. The room held its breath, awaiting his response. But within Naruto, a storm brewed. Rias' words, though meant to inspire, only stirred a deep well of frustration and anger within him.
Rias continued to paint a vivid picture of their union, weaving a tale of power, prestige, and unbreakable bonds. Her words flowed effortlessly, but they fell upon Naruto's ears like shards of glass. Each mention of their future wedlock felt like another shackle, binding him to a fate he had no desire to embrace.
As the minutes dragged on, Naruto's patience wore thin. The weight of Rias' expectations bore down upon him, suffocating his spirit. The dormant volcano within him threatened to erupt, spewing forth the molten rage that simmered just beneath the surface.
Finally, the dam broke. Naruto's voice, laced with restrained fury, pierced the tense atmosphere. "Enough you fucking bitch!," he declared, his words cutting through the air like a razor-sharp blade. "I will not be a pawn in your game, Rias. I refuse to be shackled by your lame ass ambitions."
Shock rippled through the room, the tension reaching its peak. Rias' eyes widened, a mixture of surprise flashing across her face. It was a side of Naruto she had expected, a defiance that she yet didn't expect him to show.
Issei however didn't like the fact that this guy was talking like that to his [King]. Making a movement, Issei actived his boosted gear and advanced at Naruto's direction with the sole porpoise of hitting the blonde.
"Don't talk to buchou like that moron!" Issei launched a kick at Naruto who didn't react, Mostly expecting someone to intervenes with Issei assault
Grimmjow, ever observant, sensed the rising tension and positioned himself between Naruto and Issei. His cold, piercing gaze bore into Issei, daring him to make a move. The air crackled with an electric energy, an impending clash on the horizon.
Issei, fueled by a sense of loyalty toward Rias, stepped forward, his fists clenched tightly. But before he could hit Naruto, Grimmjow unleashed a feral growl, the sound reverberating through the room like a warning.
In a blur of motion, Grimmjow's hand shot out, gripping Issei's leg with bone-crushing force. Issei cried out in pain, his body tensing under the immense pressure. Grimmjow's eyes burned with an icy intensity, a silent message that spoke volumes—cross me, and suffer the consequences.
"Naruto's challenge to Rias stands," Grimmjow stated, his voice dripping with a lethal edge. "If you wish to defend her honor, do so without interfering with his right to speak his mind."
The room fell into a stunned silence. The air grew heavy with the realization that the stakes had been raised. Naruto, his anger simmering beneath the surface, met Rias' gaze with unyielding pride. The challenge had been issued, and there would be no turning back.
In the midst of the turmoil, Issei, though wracked with pain, cast a conflicted glance at Rias. His loyalty wavered, torn between his duty to his [King] and his deep affection for the woman who had captured his heart.
"I challenge you Rias Gremory. I will burn every member of your peerage alive and personally scorch you." Naruto stood resolute, his eyes burning with a beastly fury, while Rias, Smiling but unyielding prepared to defend her honor and secure her future. The rating game loomed on the horizon, promising an epic clash that would determine the fate of their intertwined destinies.
"You want it to go that way?" Rias asked but didn't have a response as Naruto and his companions immediately disappeared in a magical circle.
"This is getting worse and worse... We shouldn't trap that boy into this." Sirzches voiced out his opinion before walking away.
Hours later.
In the aftermath of Naruto's own departure and his announcement of their impending marriage, Naruto seethed with a turbulent mix of anger, confusion, and heartache. The weight of betrayal settled heavily upon him, like a cloak of darkness threatening to consume his every thought and emotion. His fists clenched, his aura crackled with unrestrained hatred and anger, and his presence resonated with a fierce intensity that reverberated through the room.
Merlin, the wise and experienced Queen, approached Naruto with cautious steps. Her violet eyes reflected both concern and determination as she placed a comforting hand on his tense shoulder. "Naruto, I understand that you're upset. It's natural to feel anger in a situation like this, but losing control won't solve anything. We need to find a way to handle this with a clear mind."
Gyomei stepped forward, his voice filled with empathy and unwavering support. "Naruto-dono, I know this is difficult to accept, but reacting out of anger won't lead us to a resolution, We should focus on the rating game now."
Naruto's anger burned brightly, threatening to consume him entirely. His voice trembled with a mixture of rage and sorrow. "I don't understand how my parents could put me through this!"
The fierce and battle-hardened [Rook, Grimmjow watched the scene unfold with narrowed eyes. His voice, low and filled with a dangerous edge, rumbled through the room. "If it were up to me, I'd rip apart every member of Rias' peerage. They should pay for what she's done."
Rei stood beside Grimmjow, her gaze unwavering. She understood the pain Naruto was experiencing but knew that anger wouldn't bring him the peace he sought. "King-sama, Don't stress over this rating game, We will win for you."
Naruto's anger flickered, momentarily overshadowed by the voices of reason surrounding him. He took a deep breath, attempting to regain control over his turbulent emotions. Slowly, he loosened his fists, feeling the tension ease from his muscles.
"You're right," Naruto admitted, his voice softer now, tinged with a hint of sadness. "I won't let this consume me. I'll find a way to handle this situation with grace and dignity. But first, I need some time alone to gather my thoughts."
Understanding his need for solitude, Merlin nodded with a gentle smile. "Take the time you need, Naruto. We'll be here when you're ready. Remember, you're not alone in this. We'll face whatever comes together."
Gyomei stepped back, giving Naruto a supportive nod. "You're our leader, Naruto. We trust you to make the right decisions. Take all the time you need, and when you're ready, we'll be here to support you."
With their reassurances echoing in his ears, Naruto retreated to a private space within the house. The room he entered was adorned with shelves lined with ancient scrolls and magical artifacts, a sanctuary where he could find solace and reflect on the tumultuous events that had unfolded.
As Naruto sat cross-legged on the floor, the weight of his emotions pressed heavily upon him. He allowed himself to feel the pain, the anger, and the confusion, acknowledging their existence without letting them consume him entirely. He delved deep within his consciousness, seeking the clarity and strength that had guided him through countless trials before.
Seconds turned into minutes, and minutes into timeless moments as Naruto delved into his thoughts. Memories of his journey, his peerage, and the battles he had fought flooded his mind. They reminded him of the resilience that had carried him through each trial.
Amidst the chaos of his emotions, a spark of inspiration ignited within Naruto. He realized that his true power didn't lie solely in his physical strength or the destructive force of his abilities but in the strength of his character, his unwavering resolve, and the connections he had forged with those who believed in him.
With newfound clarity, Naruto emerged from his seclusion, his countenance transformed. The fire of anger had dimmed, replaced by a quiet determination burning in his cerulean eyes. He sought out Merlin, Gyomei, Grimmjow, and Rei, gathering them together once again.
"I've found my resolve," Naruto declared, his voice carrying a mixture of conviction and calmness. "We won't allow this setback to define us. Together, we'll find a way to navigate this challenging situation with grace, understanding, and justice."
Merlin's eyes gleamed with pride and approval. "That's the Naruto we know and believe in. We'll be by your side every step of the way, supporting you in whatever decision you make."
Gyomei had his hand resting on Naruto's shoulder, offered a reassuring smile. "You're not alone in this, Naruto-dono. We'll face whatever comes, united and unwavering."
Grimmjow with his fierce gaze softening ever so slightly, nodded in agreement. "I may have spoken of revenge, but you've reminded me of the value of choosing the right path. We'll find a way to make them understand the weight of their actions without sacrificing our own principles."
Rei however had her eyes filled with a quiet strength, spoke with unwavering conviction. "We'll stand by you, King, no matter what lies ahead. Together, we will help you King-sama."
