Naruto awoke as a droplet of water hit is face, groaning he woke up and found himself surrounded by water. 'where am I ? was I left in the sewers?' pulling himself out of the water he noticed his clothes were not wet at all. The blonde began to wonder around looking for exit after what felt like an eternity he saw a light guessing it to be freedom he followed it but as he drew closer and closer and light seemed to get further and further. The blonde got on his knees as he began cry balling out tears and suddenly he heard a dark solemn voice call out to him. "follow my voice" it called out him, making the blonde wipe his tears and call out "who's there?". He didn't receive a response and so he got up and followed the voice until it called out again. "you're getting closer boy" Naruto continued to follow the savage voice until he found an area with a cage.

He walked up to the cage. "umm Hello?" The blonde yelled out at the cage and was greeted by a pair red eyes with slits in them greeted him.

"Hello boy" the presence greeted him making the boy shiver, "H-hello" he managed to get out sitting down infront of the cage. "Thank you for helping me" he thanked but the presence growled at him.

"I feel like it's all I ever do…..Naruto" the presence responded him in an agitated voice. The blonde titled his head at the response obviously confused. "What do you mean by that? And how do you know my name! and also where are we?" The presence growled at him to shut up making the blonde quiver. "sorry"

"Noisy Uzumakis, Always blabbering."

They blonde then pointed his finger accusingly at the presence "how do you know my last name" he asked the voice who grew tired of his constant questioning.

"Shut up and come forward! You see this paper seal?" he motioned the seal infront of the cages. Then the Blond nodded walking up to the seal.

"Hey what will happen if I open this seal mr….?" The presence groaned once again, just how persistent was the kid. "Why would I tell you?" the presence retaliated.

"Well then I guess I won't be helping you" the Blonde shrugged as he stuck out his tongue at the presence. Enraged by the Blonde's stubbornness the presence roars sending the blonde flying and revealing his form as an orange colored fox.

The blonde pointed at it terrified and began backing up as the claws if the fox tried to grab him but failed to reach him. "You're the fox that attacked the village! What are you doing in the sewers!"

"Are you that dumb boy! This is your mindscape boy" the fox growled at him. " what do you mean by that? Mindscale?" the blonde questioned him again annoying the fox even more.

"What I mean is this your mind! I'm trapped inside you!" the fox growled.

"You're inside me? Is that why the villagers keep beating me and trying to kill me" The blonde spoke with sorrow in his voice. Looking up to the Fox as his blue eyes pierced into his red eyes.

The fox grinned "Yes that is why! But if you release me… I'll be out of your skin forever and they'd go from hating you to loving you!"

Naruto's eyes glimmered when he heard that. "Really? They would?"

"Yes"

The single answer from the Fox enticed the Blonde who run towards the seal about to remove it until he heard his name being called.

"Naruto! Wake up" a random voice spoke out to him

"No naruto undo the seal!" the fox roared

"Come on Naruto rise and shine" this time the voice was followed by a light.

"mr. Fox can't I do this later?" the blonde asked.

"No Naruto! Undo it now"

The fox was left enraged when the boy dashed to the light effectively taking him out of the mindscape and waking him up.

"Naruto! Naruto!" Yugao called out the blonde. He'd been sleeping for almost a day, she'd guessed that because of the chakra his body suspended to heal most of the wounds he'd need more sleep to help replenish them. Well that was until about an or two ago when she'd heard the Blonde speaking. She thought he had awoken but much to her surprise the blonde still lay down with his eyes clothes.

First she thought he was just having a bad dream, I mean who wouldn't being chased around villagers. She was about a year older than him when she got her first kill in the Anbu she dreamt about it for almost 2 months but now 6 years later, she kills like she drinks water.

She looked at him rustling in his sleep. And then she cooed "come on Naruto rise and shine"

It only a little longer than a minute for the Blonde to jolt up, making Yugao relieved but as soon as the blonde jolted awake she sensed a dark chakra explode from him. The chakra was so foul it felt like it would choke her.

Seconds passed and she could felt like she could breathe properly again, she looked at the blonde who rubbed eyes as the sunlight hit his face. "hey there!" The blonde cheerly called to her with a toothy smile. "hey there Naruto…I'm Yugao" she greeted back a blonde. 'did I just tell him my identity' she mentally scolded herself.

"Ok, good morning Yugao" he beamed at her but he received a flick to his forehead. "ow" he whined.

"It's not morning Naruto it's like 3pm" she told the blonde giggling who had just left his mouth agape.

The blonde looked around the room for the first time and noticed it wasn't his apartment, hell how didn't he notice it at first sight. "Umm this your place Miss Yugao"

"yep it is, and just Yugao is fine. I'm not that old"

"okay Yugao-san" he grinned. "Thanks for saving me yesterday and today!"

"you're welco-wait what do you mean by today?" she questioned the Blonde.

"You were the one who called me to wake up right?" she nodded slowly at him and he continued. "If it wasn't for you I would have stayed with that fox forever"

"Fox?" she pondered she was about ask another questioned but she heard a rumbling come out from the blonde. He put his hand sheepishly at the back of his head snd let out a small laugh. Yugao decided she would postpone the question till later.

She noticed the Blonde getting out of the bed and she stared at him bewildered, upon all those bruises from yesterday there wasn't a single blemish on his skin. Yesterday she counted at least three deep wounds on his chest but now they're barely visible.

"Thanks for taking care of me Yugao-san" he bowed as he began to exit through window, reminding her of her captain and the words he gave her the previous evening. "Don't let him leave this room" echoed in her head. 'oh right'. "hey Nar-" she looked around a noticed the blonde had disappeared.

"shit he's fast" she closed the window and went in pursuit of the Blonde.

Meanwhile

Kakashi, captain of the Anbu was currently heading to the Hokage's office. The moment he entered the office the Hokage smiled and put his paperwork aside.

"Captain Hatake, I heard your last mission was a success. Have you come to deliver the report?" he asked as he continued the smoke to his pipe.

"I will do that soon but I came here for a different reason" he told man who took his pipe out of his mouth and turned his back to Kakashi facing the village outside. On his back he wore a red and white cloak with the words 3rd Hokage written boldly on the back.

"okay Kakashi?" he asked sceptically.

"it's about Naruto" as soon as Kakashi said the third Hokage ordered all Anbus to exit to the room.

"Why yes Naruto, He turns 5 today one more year and he's in the academy!" he smoked his pipe as he said this and turned to face Kakashi. "He even told me recently he's going to become Hokage!" he smiled like a father impressed of his son.

"Lord 3rd, Naruto was beaten yesterday by bunch of Chunin and if it wasn't for the fox he'd be deeply wounded" The third hokage also known as Hiruzen hung his head and puffed out his pipe.

"Give me their names, so I will talk to the-" Hiruzen was about to finish the sentence before Kakashi slammed his hand on the table.

"That won't do anything! They've been at it since the boy could walk….Minato said he wasn't around he wanted me to protect his child….So I mus-"

"Kakashi" Hiruzen softly spoke.

"Forgive me sir" Hiruzen smiled at the young Captain, for the time he'd known Kakashi he wasn't the one to vent out his emotions.

"so what do you want to do Kakashi? Because an Anbu captain won't be around the village much" he sat down as he pointed out his fact to Kakashi.

"You're right it probably wouldn't work out like that, That's why I've chosen to resign from the Anbu" He could feel Hiruzen's stern on him.

"Are you sure about this Kakashi, I could ju-". Kakashi didn't let him finish his sentence and quickly let out a yes. Hiruzen sighed and agreed, soon after discussing some terms Kakashi set off and the old man returned to his paperwork and sighed again putting his pipe away.

With Yugao

Yugao searched around the village for Naruto, The boy was fast as hell and he didn't even apply Chakra to his legs to make him faster. She scrambled the centre looking for him, 'If I were to just follow his chakra signal I'd find him no problem!' she mentally smirked.

"Yugao-chan?" she slowly turned around noticing that voice, The voice her captain she could already predict his questions. Where's Naruto? I thought I told you to keep an eye on him. She mentally sighed.

But she deadpanned almost immediately, "what are you wearing captain?" she saw the look he gave her like she was moronic dumbass. "A mask obviously" he looked back at her and took a look at her clothes. "I could also ask the same about you, are planning on sleeping the whole day?"

Yugao sent him a glare, "You're one too comment captain! You already wear a mask in the Anbu and you also do in person" Kakashi laughed at her criticism, "What do you mean, I always wear this mask even under my Anbu mask"

"what?" she responded letting Kakashi repeat himself. "how do you even breathe captain?" she asked Kakashi who didn't respond as his mind seemed to somewhere else. He looked like he was scouting the place or searching for someone.

"Hey, your house isn't that far away is it?" Yugao slowly nodded uncertain why he would ask her this. "So here's the plan, you go home and change into something decent and let's go grab Naruto"

"Hey! What I'm wearing isn't that bad" they had a stare down in which Kakashi gave in "Fine then let's go"

"You know what I'll just change captain!" she sunshined to her house and in less than 5 minutes she was back and two continued the search for Naruto.

"So Captain where do you think he'll be?" she didn't receive any response as he was reading a book rarely ever letting his eyes off the book, a habit she'd noticed when ever anyone sparred against him in Anbu training.

"I'm sorry did you say something" he asked as she shot him glares. "Where can we find Naruto"

"Well they're two places, The Hokage monument or Ichiraku Ramen" he said without lifting his eye off the book.

"The Hokage monuments? How this kid like him get up there? And without chakra walking?" she asked.

"The boy's a genius I guess."

"okay? But what does he do there?"

"surely you should know" asked Kakashi in a more surprised tone. He was shook when Yugao nodded her head in disagreement

"He's the one defaces or paints all over it" This earned a sigh from Yugao.

"I remember the first day he climbed, I thought he was going to fall but to my surprise he held up, like you I asked myself why he was doing this and not long after got my answer."

"so Captain what're telling basically is that you were an accomplice to a crime" she grinned at him as he smiled a bit, she could tell from under his mask at least.

"So where do we go first sensei?" he pointed straight ahead without his eyes leaving the book, pointing at a signboard that read 'Ichiraku Ramen'

'oh well that was easy'

They heard laughing and giggling from inside the stall. "aww you're so cute Naruto" was the next thing they heard as they both walked in.

"Naruto?" Yugao called out as she saw the blonde slurping down a bowl of ramen. He turned to her and finished consuming the bowl infront of him. "Yugao-san?" he responded and then looked to his side to see a Silver haired guy wearing mask. "Ohhh Naruto is your girlfriend" Ayame asked teasing the blonde who stuttered and blushed. "n-n-no she's not!".

"I don't know Naruto, you sound very shy" she cooed at the Blonde. Who blushed again "I do not Ayame-san" Ayame stopped teasing the Blonde to greet the new guest. After everyone had exchange pleasantries, Yugao asked Naruto why he'd left in a rush.

After hearing his response Yugao sighed and ruffled up his ear, while Ayame scolded him about running away from pretty girls. Laughs could be heard from Ichiraku up till night time.

As the 3 left the store.

"By the way Yugao san who's this?" he said pointing at Kakashi. Who finally closed his book.

"I'm Kakashi Hatake, nice too meet you Naruto"

"Nice to meet you to Kakashi"

"but from now on you can call me Kakashi sensei"

The blonde's eyes glimmered and a toothy smile became visible on his face.

"You're going to train me?"

"More or less" responded the Silver haired man. As the 3 walked towards Yugao's home.
