Lucifer sat in his cage and waited. He wasn't known for being patient, but this was something that he waited for thousands and thousands of years. The cage's warding and power had long since stripped him of most of his power. He had figured out the limitations of the cage and weak spots in the warding. If he was focused he could speak to people on the outside. This caused him a migraine, but it would be worth it to check in on Lilith, Ruby and his Sam.

He closed his eyes and pushed his thoughts past the weak spots of the cage. His head hurt, but it would be worth it, just to get an update on Sammy.

"You turned yourself into a freak, just so that you could kill me, and now you're not going to bite?" He could hear Lilith taunting Sam. He looked at the warding on the cage, it flickered a few times and then it was out. He smiled with delight, as he felt his power coursing through his veins, but there was something else, there was a pull, a draw towards Sam. He needed to be with him. It wasn't just about possessing him, it was like his very essence, his twisted grace yearned to be with his one true vessel.

He left his prison, but Sammy was gone. It wasn't supposed to be this way. He was supposed to be there. He had to have been there since Lucifer owed his freedom to him. The fact that he wasn't meant that somebody powerful had interfered. He would have to find a temporary vessel until he could find Sam. He quickly peered into the thoughts of the nearby hairless apes until he found one that he could easily convince to let him in. Nick was weak, and devastated by the loss of his wife and child. That was the way in, he could use the man's pain against him.

He went to the house, spreading his darkness and letting the visions of the child's and wife's death infiltrate Nick's dreams. He took the form of the deceased wife when Nick was at his breaking point. He promised Nick that he would make God suffer for letting bad things happen. He didn't really mean it, but he was great at telling people what they needed to hear.

"Yes," Nick said.

Light flashed as he entered the vessel. Once he was inside of Nick, he set on locating his heart's desire.

"Damnit," he swore under his breath. He couldn't see Sam. Somehow, his Sammy had found a way to hide himself from divination. It wasn't supposed to be this way. Somebody was keeping the boy away from his view and when he had found the traitor that was helping Sam hide he would visit pain and torture to them.

He hated doing this, but he would need to use the demons to find his Sam.

He snapped his fingers and he was sitting on the throne of hell.

"Lucifer, how may we be of assistance?" They asked.

"Sam Winchester, find him and bring him to me. You will not harm a hair on his head for any pain that you inflict on him, I will revisit it upon you tenfold," Lucifer stated.

"What about Dean?"

"Who?" Lucifer asked.

"Sam's brother," the demon answered.

"Oh, him…" Lucifer stated with disdain. His heart filled with jealousy as he thought to all the stories that the demons had told him about the Winchester brothers over the years and the incredible bond that that they shared. He realized that he hated Dean for being the one that Sammy loved.

"Sir…what should we do about Dean?" The demon asked again interrupting Lucifer's thoughts.

Lucifer wanted to tell the Demons to kill the boy, but that would cause pain to his Sam. No, that would not do. He would have to spare Dean, at least until he could find a way to break the brotherly bond.

"Spare him as well," Lucifer spat out as he clenched his fists tightly.

Lucifer sat on his throne as he thought of all the ways that would convince Sam to trust him.
