Dean stared at Sam as he slept. He had been watching him sleep for hours. Sam would seize off and on, every time that he did, Cas was able to stop the seizures by placing his hand on his forehead, but still his brother wouldn't wake up.

Dean felt so betrayed by Sam. His brother lied to him, yet again, he had allowed Lucifer to play his mind games with him and because of that he had become so twisted inside that he had stopped sleeping, practically killing himself in the process. If Sam woke up, no…when Sam woke up, he just didn't know if he could ever trust his brother again.

"I can watch him, you need your rest as well," Cas said as he entered Sam's bedroom.

"I'm fine," Dean snapped. "I'm sorry Cas, I just don't understand why you can't heal him enough for him to wake up," Dean added.

"Dean, there was a lot of damage. I know that you don't want to hear this, but perhaps Lucifer…"

"No, I'm not going to let that freak anywhere near my brother ever again," Dean spat out.

"I know how you feel about him, but he's an Archangel. He has more power than I do. We can try praying again to Michael, but I don't think that he'll come. Nobody has seen or heard from Gabriel in thousands of years, so I don't think that he's an option, so that leaves Lucifer," Cas argued.

"Perhaps we should," Bobby began.

"I said no," Dean spat out, cutting him off.

XOXOXO

It had been a long night, Lucifer hated it, but he had to continue to resurrect Death before he could look for Sam. If it was anything else, it could have waited, but without Death, the rest of the horseman that he had resurrected, all of his work would be for nothing. Lucifer spoke the last of the words, binding Death to him and completing the ritual.

"What do you want?" Death asked as he appeared.

"Your help with the apocalypse of course," Lucifer answered.

"I would think that there would be more important things on your mind, now that your true vessel is circling the drain," Death stated.

"You will not be taking Sam anywhere, I forbid it," Lucifer shouted.

"And of course I have to do what you say, now that you've bound me, but there are so many reapers and I just can't speak for the one assigned to Sam Winchester," Death said and then smiled.

"If Sam dies, you will let me know and I will raise him myself, as for you, walk the earth and kill as many as you can until you hear from me again," Lucifer spat out and then snapped his fingers, sending death on his way.

He closed his eyes, trying his best to sense Sam, but there was nothing.

"Castiel, I know that you can hear me. I've spoken with death and he let me know that Sam is close to being reaped. I'm sure that you've done your best brother, but, we both know that you don't nearly have the power that I do. Please give me your location, or bring Sammy to me and I can heal him. Please Castiel, do the right thing by Sam," Lucifer pleaded as he prayed to his brother.

XOXOXO

Castiel heard Lucifer's prayer and made a decision. Dean may never forgive him, but what choice did he have. "Sleep," Castiel whispered and placed his hand on Dean's forehead.

"Sorry Dean, but I can't let Sam die, just because you're being a stubborn Ass," Cas said as Dean slumped over in sleep.

Cas explained his plan to Bobby . After Bobby left he waited the five minutes that they had agreed to.

"Just hang on Sam," Cas whispered as he picked Sam up and activated his wings. He appeared in an abandoned warehouse and placed Sam on the ground. He squirted the Holy Oil on the ground, called Bobby and once he knew that the hunter was five minutes out, then he prayed to Lucifer, giving him the location.

"Heal him," Cas stated as Lucifer appeared.

"Thank you Castiel, you're doing the right thing," Lucifer stated.

"Oh Sammy, what did you do to yourself," Lucifer whispered as he placed his hand on Sam's forehead and could sense all of the damage.

"He should make a full recovery," Lucifer said and then staggered backwards. Healing Sam had drained him, more than he thought it would.

"Thank you," Castiel stated and then grabbed Sam from Lucifer's arms as Bobby appeared and threw the lit match at the ground. The fire spread in a circle around Lucifer.

"Take Sam to his brother," Castiel stated as he placed Sam in the back of Bobby's truck.

"Surely, you know that this won't hold me for long," Lucifer stated as he smiled.

"I know, but it will hold long enough for us to have a chat," Castiel explained.
