With the past month flying by so quickly both Naruto and Sasuke had been training their asses off. Naruto had been improving his taijutsu with Yugao while improving his body shape. He'd gained an inch too making him the same height as Sasuke. Meanwhile at Sasuke's end he'd been improving his fire style and learning basic genjutsu while improving his shuriken game. However Naruto had been thought by Yugao how to disrupt basic genjutsu so as along sasuke didn't know a C rank or higher he was fine.

Kakashi who'd just returned home from what one might call a stressful a day, He'd just failed another potential team of genin who didn't understand the virtue of team work. He looked at his Calendar, 'Oh the big day is tomorrow' he smirked, he truly wanted to see how far Naruto had come.

Meanwhile

"Come on Naruto, just come to bed" Yugao tried to convince the blonde who'd put his scrolls all over the bed much to her displeasure. "But I need to…" he couldn't finish as she cupped his face. "Look Naruto you need rest otherwise you'd be tired tomorrow and I want to talk to you about something" the blonde grumbled before clearing his scrolls of the bed and joined her.

"What did you want to talk about?" he said as he faced her. "You're getting into the academy soon…." The blonde cut her off before she could finish. "Yugao-san I think I like you" she blushed when she heard it. "What makes you think that" she asked as stared back at him, for once he could completely nervous. He even twiddled his fingers which made him even cuter in her opinion. "Well every time we're close I feel my heartbeat faster whenever we're like this" she smiled when she saw him smiling. "I think we all feel that way when we're around people we love" she saw him nodding slowly at what she said. "What makes you like me" she asked a bit curious.

"Well you're very pretty, and you're strong and you really care for me and you're sexy" he muttered the last part to himself, she just looked at him blushing. "You think I'm pretty?" he nodded at her question.

"Thank you Naruto but…. I don't think you like me, you just have a crush" she said softly to him, he looked at her with confusion plastered all over his face. "A crush?" she nodded her head, it took her a while but she deduced he didn't get her. "A crush is when you admire someone a lot that it makes you think you're in love them" the blonde finally nodded. "So I have crush rather?" she nods at him.

"How will I know when I've actually fallen in love?" he asked the purple haired kunoichi. "I don't know Naruto, I think you'll just know" she replied as he pushed one of his golden bangs to the side. She noticed eyes were closed and his breathing had stabilized. 'I guess the love talk is boring' she giggled to herself. "I..hope…I fall in love with you Yugao-san" he managed get out between snores.

Yugao blushed and kissed his forehead as they drifted into sleep.

The next day

Naruto rushed out of bed and into the bathroom, where he began to wash down. Yugao chuckled at his impatient character, "Naruto relax you're going to be early enough" she hissed as she joined him in the bath. "But I have to get there early to examine the…" he was shut up as she plashed water in his face. "Okay, I get it don't start your rambling" she told him as she began washing his hair. She would be lying if she said he didn't resemble the fourth even more.

"Yugao-san?" she hummed as she responded, "yes Naruto-kun?" "I'll miss you!" she looked at him trying to feign ignorance. "huh?" she let out with a pathetic fake voice. "I know you can't be watching over me once I join the academy" she sighed as she stared in his face, accepting that he had found out the truth. "What do you mean by that? Of course I can!" she told him as she run water down his hair rinsing the soap out. "No you can't! and even if you did I wouldn't allow you" she scowled at him. "why won't you?" the blonde gave his foxy grin and looked at her. "Because if you kept on taking care of me, how would I prove to everyone that I've become stronger" she looked at him and sighed before bonking his head making him exclaim in pain.

"Being alone doesn't make you stronger you dumby, having good comrades and people you can trust in no matter what makes you stronger. As long as you have a friend worth living for Life isn't over you get me?" the blonde nodded in agreement.

"But I do get where you are coming from, so let' make a deal! If you go to the academy you have to make friends who aren't Sasuke."

"Deal"

They shook hands on it and exited the bathroom, dressing up the made it toward the training ground.

30 Minutes later

Yugao rushed over to the training grounds with Anko and Kurenai who'd wanted to come witness the fight themselves. "They haven't started" Anko called out as she tried to catch her breathe. "Yeah I wondered why they haven't" Kurenai asked the Yugao who just gave a simple reply. "Kakashi", they both stared at her, "That dude is the epitome of tardiness!" she growled as she looked at a meditating Naruto. "You know Naruto really looks the fourth Hokage! It's kinda hot" Anko said whiles licking her lips causing her friends to shudder. "Anko gross" Kurenai scolded hair, Anko sighed and complained. "But it's okay when Yugao does it?"

"Yugao isn't a pervert" Kurenai said as she and Yugao both laughed at Anko. They stopped when they heard a blonde scream finally. They turned their attention to see the silver haired jonin staring right in front of them. "Sorry I'm late guys! You know how they say life is not a straight line, so I kinda got lost on the many paths which led me to this old lady who couldn't carry her luggage and…."

"Save it Kakashi-sensei let's get to the fight already" he was ever so rudely cut out by Sasuke, who turned to Naruto. Kakashi then nodded his head at Itachi who nodded back and the two jumped out of the way.

'begin'

They watched as Both Naruto and Sasuke rushed each other with Kunai blocking each other's attempt. Pushing themselves back Naruto began weaving signs but was quickly cut off by Sasuke hurling shuriken at him. The blonde began moving backwards as he intended to back up and then blind the Uchiha, however Sasuke had thought ahead of him.

'Fire style: Big flame bullet' the uchiha weaved the signs, with his mouth filled with oil he releases and at the same time ignites it causing a huge fireball that nearly engulfs the blonde. He continued backing away before weaving hand signs on his own.

'Water style: wave Thrust' water from underneath the ground erupted like a fountain upwards elevating him whiles taking the hit of the uchihas jutsu creating a foggy mist. 'dammit, but he's also blinded himself there's no way he can see…" The uchiha almost ate his own words as the blonde Narrowly missed his kick, He flew to the Uchiha's side who just slightly evaded the second one as well.

"That was smart by Naruto" Itachi told Kakashi who was just reading his book. "He's using a jutsu to see where Sasuke is at, the 'water release: shiryoku'" Itachi smiled whiles Kakashi just kept his game face on. "I'm interested to see what Sasuke does about this" Kakashi told the older Uchiha who chuckled. "me too".

Sasuke had enough of the dodging, he can't stay here any longer the punches were beginning to feel heavier and Naruto was getting faster. He just needed to get him to stop moving for a brief moment so he could try out his new jutsu.

' I need to get him still somehow' the uchiha told himself as he prepared for the latest barrage of kicks from Naruto. Finally a plan came in his head as he smiled. He awaited for the blonde to through his first kick and grabbed his leg smashing him into the ground, leaping in the air he aimed his kunai right between the blonde's hoodie and the ground pinning him to the ground.

'Lightning release: Thunder gate' the blonde suddenly noticed lightning bolts start decimating the area around them barely dodging them he also noticed Sasuke's jutsu was meant to to target wide areas. He throws a kunai at sasuke who catches but the kunai is then used as a medium to summon the lightning bolt which comes hurling down on him.

"Hey guys shouldn't we stop this? It's getting a bit out of hand" Yugao said as she watched the uchiha scream shuddering at his cries. "Come on guys! Can't they just do taijutsu or something!" Kurenai suggested but the two mentors had made their mind up. "Just watch and pay attention!" Kakashi advised them. They continued and noticed the Uchiha's cry had suddenly stopped.

'Lighting style: lightning bolt jutsu' they saw the uchiha fire a streamlined lighting bolt at the blonde who'd fail successfully move out of the way and got with it. The two of them now hit with lighting bolts charged at each other only to collapse before getting near each other.

The 3 looked amazed at what they'd just witnessed. "well that was kind of a anti climatic" Anko said as he stared at the two mentors. "Yeah well" kakashi started. "It was expected" Itachi continued.

"Am I the only one who didn't get what just happened" Kurenai said dumb founded.

"Naruto used the Kunai to attract one of Sasuke's stray lightning bolts, when it struck Sasuke we all thought he was getting fried but if that was the case why not simply just move out of the way? Sasuke intentionally took in the force of the bolt so he could redirect it at Naruto" Yugao responded earning a huge clap from Kakashi who she threw daggers at.

"As much as that was entertaining to watch, what would you have done if they couldn't control…" she was about to scold him. "I would have stepped in myself and ended the fight that moment" Kakashi quickly replied her. "Besides they weren't fighting to kill, they know better" Itachi said as he pointed at the two of them who'd began helping each other up.

"That was pretty smart you dobe" Sasuke told Naruto as he placed his arm around the blonde's neck and the blonde did vice versa as they supported each other. "Yours too! You have to teach me how to do that" Naruto told the Uchiha.

"Well you guy's drew! I hope you learn better stuff in the academy" Kakashi said as they both smirked. "Well then the Academy better prepare the coming of the next Hokage and his trusty side kick" Naruto yelled as the Uchiha frowned. "You did not just call me your sidekick dobe!" he retorted.

"You'd rather be a side character?" the blonde asked the Uchiha who just scowled again. "Why would you be a main character of anything you dobe!" The 5 of them watched as the two bickered however none of them were prepared to hear the tragic deeds committed by someone who they were just talking and laughing with.

1 week later

Sasuke was just on his way from his first day at the academy, he planned to come home as soon as the bell rang. But he stayed with Naruto to teach some bullies a lesson. 'dumb dobe always getting in fights' he said to himself as he mentally laughed. He noticed the place was very quiet as contrary to the early morning. He walked down the alley and thought he felt a presence watching him. He turned around but met no one, he decided to pick up the pace home. He opened the door, "Mom, Dad I'm home!" he met no response. He checked everywhere in the house but the living room. He burst into tears after what he saw. His mother and father dead on the ground and Itachi standing over them.

"Itachi what happened who did this!" he asked but he met no response. Instead he had to dodge an incoming blade from his brother. "Foolish little brother! It was I" sasuke balled and balled his eyes out. "why?why?why? why would you kill our clan?" Itachi just stared at him his red eyes spinning. "I wanted to test myself. It's that simple" he told Sasuke. "You killed our parents just for that!" Sasuke said enraged as he charged directly at him and received a quick kick knee to the gut.

"You're not strong enough Sasuke, maybe when you get eyes as strong as mine" Itachi told his brother who was rolling in the ground in pain. "How do I get my eyes like that! Tell me! So I kill you!" Sasuke yelled out at his brother.

"Good Sasuke I've left you everything you need to know, Harness you hatred…." He couldn't finish as Sasuke growled at him again. "Shut the hell up Itachi! Just tell me right now how to get those eyes!"

Itachi just looked at him with blood all over him, "I had to kill my bestfriend" he said as he started cackling. Sasuke shook his head in disbelief "You killed Shisui? But he was your best friend! How could you?" Itachi sighed and shook his head.

"Because I needed to test this power for myself! Enough of the bickering Sasuke I have important matters to attend to. But you can have this goodbye present from me to you"

Sasuke looked in his eyes and there he was Itachi he was killing everyone! "run! Run!" the boy shouted trying to plead to his fellow clansmen but it was no use they couldn't hear him. Sasuke watched Itachi kill his parents his Aunties uncles friends even his own girlfriend.

Just when he thought it had ended, it played again and again and again.

But after a day of rewatching nothing remained in his mind but three words. "I will kill you"
