Luke sat cross-legged on the floor of his room. His eyes were closed. He focused on reaching out through the Force. He took deep breaths in and out. He felt his awareness spread out through the Force. He saw its vein-like and wispy lines throughout the Galaxy. He felt his son's presence without even trying. He only hoped that Danni Quee hadn't shut herself out from the Force.

He felt as though he were leaving his body, which he knew he wasn't. He expanded his awareness, allowing more of the Force to guide him. The immediate, known difficulty would be finding Danni because they didn't have a bond. He could've easily found his late wife anywhere in the Galaxy. Jaina could've easily found her late brother Jacen anywhere in the Galaxy. He can easily find his own son. Nevertheless, he kept trying.

He began feeling the presence of all the Jedi on Shedu Maad. He needed to leave the planet through the Force. Luke began following the many strands of the Force away from the planet. He was letting as much of the Force flow through him as he could, making sure to keep himself calm. He followed strands that seemed vaguely familiar ones he had detected before.

Ben stood by his girlfriend, their hands enclasped. "I love you so dearly, Ves." He said. His eyes turned glassy with unshed tears.

Vestara bit back a pained groan. The pain in her legs had barely subsided ever since she was stuck having pain killers pumped into her body. "I love you more." She whimpered.

Ben shed a tear from his left eye, and caressed her forehead. "We'll find out what the stang is happening to you and Tahiri, and others who've been afflicted by this."

Vestara smiled. She weakly took her boyfriend's hand, and pressed it against her cheek. "Promise me Ben… Promise me that whoever is responsible… that they will pay."

Ben caressed his thumb against his girlfriend's cheek as she held it. Her face was moist with tears, but he didn't care. This would be his final moments with her for who knows how long. "I promise. Well, as much as the Jedi Way will allow."

His girlfriend smiled. "No matter what happens, I will make it back to you." Ben promised. More tears streamed down his cheeks.

Vestara's face fell. "I've lost my mother, and my father… now I'm going to lose you for who knows how long." She somberly spoke.

Ben's remorseful expression deepened. "I've lost my mother, and 2 of my cousins. And you're not just losing me, I'm losing you." He gave his girlfriend a kiss on the lips. "But I will make it back. I promise." They touched foreheads. Ben closed his eyes, not wanting this moment to end. Sadly, he knew he had to leave. He straightened back up, and Vestara leaned back against the hovergurney. "I love you, Ves."

"I love you too."

After many long hours of searching, Luke had finally found Danni. Her presence in the Force gave off surprise and confusion. Luke knew he couldn't just state his wishes, so he sent her vague thoughts that were as specific as he could make them.

He sent her thoughts of Vestara and now Tahiri in pain from the new illness. Their confusion and worry when Vestara initially got sick. Their relief when coomb spores weren't found in Vestara's system or Tahiri's. And their horror when they found out that it was a foreign body that was affixed to their nerves. Lastly, he sent their desperation for her help.

After a few more minutes, Luke received feelings of understanding and knowing from Danni. In response, he sent her his desire to seek out Zonama Sekot.

Through the Force, Luke felt Danni's apprehension. Luke needed to find the planet, and sent her feelings and thoughts of pleading. She relented, and allowed Luke to track her location. He opened his eyes, waking from his trance, still feeling Danni's presence. His son was standing in front of him. "I found her." Luke reported.

Ben gave a sigh of relief. "I hope this won't take long."

Luke nodded. "I understand your pain and worry. Don't worry son, we'll all get through this. And we'll all be okay in the end."

Ben looked up at his father with a hopeful expression. Luke patted his son on the shoulder. "Let's get ready."

Danni woke up from her trance. She had just gotten out of her brief and vague talk with Luke through the Force. Her body still ached slightly after receiving the pain that 2 victims of some mystery ailment were suffering from.

It had been 9 standard years since she last saw Luke. The fact that he shared his wishes to come to Zonama Sekot greatly concerned her. The Ur-Yuuzhan Vong hadn't seen Jedi for 16 standard years. She wasn't sure how they'd react.

The reason why Danni ultimately allowed Luke to find her was because of his deep distress over this new illness. She wasn't sure about what she could do to help, but she figured that Luke saw something in here that would definitely help, even if she herself didn't see it. She knew that she needed to report this to Nas Choka.

As Danni walked into the chamber Nas was working in, he got startled by her. "Dahney! I wasn't expecting you for another hour!" He remarked, "What do you need?"

Danni took a seat on one of the chair analogues. After 9 years of being on Zonama Sekot, she grew used to the feeling and backwater thoughts that she was sitting on a living creature of sorts. "Luke Skywalker is coming."

Nas was surprised. "Do you know when?"

Danni shook her head. Nas distracted himself by pretending to check on the health of his desk analogue. He didn't want Danni to see him gawking as her hair swung as she shook her head. "I can't say. I just know it'll be within the month." She explained. She didn't admit or show it, but she liked the attention he briefly gave her.

Nas nodded. "Thank you for the information. Once we receive more information on his arrival, we'll begin preparations for it."

Danni nodded, then left. A short while later, one of Nas Choka's aides came in. "Forgive me of my intrusion, Great Prophet." She said.

"What is the purpose of your visit?"

"Search parties have found lab remnants. We have reason to believe that your brothers Lamnol and Lemne and their followers set them up, however we have no sign of them."

Nas Choka sighed disappointedly. Lamnol and Lemne had left with followers a few years back. Only his brothers Sau and Jako remained. "See if you can line their genetic patterns up with previous sites. Perhaps we can find out where they'll go next, and then bring them home."

His aide nodded, then left. Nas massaged his eyes and brow tenderly. Where are you two? He thought.
