Chapter 3
A few weeks went by before I went back into town but I went by the stormwinds wall. I walked up by the wall and checked to make sure that the guards weren't watching. And tempted to climb the stone wall and try not to fall. I got half way up and one of the guards called down. I look up to see Llane at the top of the wall?
"umm Hello! May I ask what you are doing?! '' Llane shouted
"Umm, climbing a wall!" I shouted as I kept climbing the side of the building
"I see that, do you want help!" Llane shouted. I looked at him as I stopped for a second
"Yeah, that would be nice!" I said as I was two thirds the way up I saw Llane leave and come back with some rope. He toasted some down and dragged me up the rest of the way
"Thank you…?" I said I was a little confused. He was wearing a normal linen shirt with a pair of nice pants.
"You look confused," Llane said with a soft chuckle.
"I am confused, the first time I met you were wearing fancier clothes," I said looking over his clothes one more time.
"I'm insulted, did you think I didn't have casual clothes? '' Llane said, looking a little hurt. I shrugged my shoulders. Llane sighed and asked why I was climbing the side of a building with no safety gear. I explained how my brother and one of his friends would climb the walls of a building during training. My brother's friend bet that he couldn't get half way up the wall without falling. He got all the way to the top once and I wanted to see if I could do it.
"Without safety gear? Do you know how dangerous that is" Llane said as he ran his finger through his hair in frustration.
"And why do you care?" I said with a smile. Llane looked at the ceiling
"Because that was stupid" said Llane
"I'm fine, I didn't fall, plus the stones on the wall are pretty for out" I said as I looked over the wall now realizing how far up the wall is. Llane looked like he wanted to say something but didn't. He seemed more nervous than normal.
"Are you okay? " I asked as he nodded his head with a smile on his face, there was a small bit of acquired silence. I turned to walk away, walking down the stone walls that had a soft eco to them. The walls of the hall were decorated with paintings and banners on all the races the alliance had made over the years. I came to the end of the hallway where it splits off into two different hallways, Llane tried to creep up behind,
"Your shoes are ratting you out" I said as I turned my head to see Llane looking a little defeated
"Okay, where to?" Llane asked as he looked down the hallways making sure they were clear before I turned down a radom hallway, we got halfway down the hall and I started to see vines and flower coming there the cracks in the stone of the hall, the hall was painted a light green to complement the white flowers that bloomed in the dark crevices of the moss covered stone.
"I think you should close your eyes" Llane said has he came to a stop, I stopped a little confused
"why" I asked looking at him,
"I was making a suggestion, it makes for a better surprise" Llane said as he walked into the room I stood in the shadows of the hall well he stood in the light of the room. The room was laced with flowers of all kinds of colors. Small trees littered the room leaves of orange and red. I walked into the room to see the stained glass. The stained glass was standing by the medium size trees at the back of the room. The stained glass depicted a blonde woman in a light blue dress with white sleeves. It had to be one of the many stained glass windows I have seen but this one had to be that most detailed. The more I looked at the garden the trees and flowers were meant to colment the stained glass window. I looked over at Llane, he was standing at the doorway. "Sometimes he gives me the creeps," I thought to myself. The flower beds looked like they were under the care of a really good herbalist or druid. I got on my knees to see the little flowers, they are little blue flowers with white stems.
"Hey Llane!" I yelled acrasted to room. Llane picked up his head, I waved at him to come to me. He walked over and kneeled next to me
"What's up " Llane said as he looked at the flowers
"Do you know what kind of flowers these are?" I asked, wanting to pick a couple for my flower book.
"ummm, I think they're a little cousin to the ice bells I think," Llane said as he picked one, bringing it up to the sunlight to see it better. I hummed trying to see the little blue flower
"Its small to be related to the Ice bell, the Ice bell is like half the the size of me when full grown, some get taller then I do, and it no dainty little flower" I said looking at him as I stood up to show him how tall the Ice Bells are supposed to be.
"Ice bells dont get that big, there up to knee and most" Llane said in protest
"The ones you see here, I have a picture of one that was taller than an Ice troll " I said, raising my hand up just over my head. Llane looked at me in disbelief and confused
" Ice troll?" Llane asked
" Yea an Ice troll, they're really nice" I said as I looked down at Llane knowing he would not believe me.
"I have a question for you," Llane said as he stood up and looked me in the eye. I hummed in response, nervous of what he was going to say
"Are you a herbalist in training or something?" Llane asked as he handed me the small flower. I softly shook my head no, as I took the small flower from his hand, and grabbed a small journal out of my pocket and flipped to a new page and placed the small flower on the page and softly closed the book.
"You have a book in your pocket this whole time?" Llane asked as I put the journal back in my pocket.
"What?" I said as Llane looked at me confused
"My pockets are not that big" Llane said he put his hands in his pants pockets and only his hands fit. I laughed at his defeat, I looked at the time and released I needed to start heading home.
"Alright I need to go home" I said as I started for one of the open windows
"The door is this way" said Llane as he pointed at the beginning of the hallway. I looked out the window and and saw a tree limb that brushed the side of the window I smiled to myself and climbed on the tree limb and almost got to the bass of the tree and heard some chattering in the room and than saw Llane closing the window and than giving a small wave and left.
