Chapter 7
As we walked through the city I noticed that Anduin was a little more quiet than normal. I ruffled Sully's hair then I turned my focus to Anduin.
"So, where do you think you're going this time?" I pointed
"I'm not sure, there is a vast ocean out there." Aduin chattered
"Well. . . don't get yourself in trouble, don't need the future king dying," I chuckled
"Do you think I could be as good a king as my dad?" Aduin mumbled
"You have a different way of ruling, I don't think you will be a bad king," I voiced
"Oh that's reassuring " He said as he chuckled. I smiled as we were at the harbor.
The harbor was about as old as Stormwind. There were many ships that roamed the sea that came to the docks of Stormwind. The ship I was interested in was the ship that was docked at the very end of the harbor. It was an older ship that had barnacles on some of the boards close to the water. The ship was made of what looked like old oak and had light green sails. What I thought was most intriguing about the ship is the anchor sigil on both sides of the ship. There was a some
"It's a nice ship isn't it." Aduin noted
"Yea, is this the ship you're taking?" I questioned my curiosity getting the best of me.
"No Jania would kill me if I touched a family harlem without asking" Aduin voiced
"How old is it?" I spoke wondering how old a ship can be in such good condition.
"I don't remember, I'll have to ask when I see her next." Aduin rambaled
"It looks ancient, like it needs new boards" I puzzled
"She's working on it, slowly… very slowly" Aduin sighed
"Does she want help?" I questioned
"No, I've asked many times, my dad explained it as almost like guilt." Aduin uttered as he looked over at me. I was taller than him by a few inches. If I have my hair pulled back we are the same height. He smiled as the boat pulling up
"All right your boat has arrived" I said as I made a gesture to the boat that was pulled up to the dock
"Sorry you can come with me" Aduin muttered
"I can understand where my fathers coming form" I huffed
"Can maybe next time" Aduin chirped
"In your dreams, but I will alway be here when you come back" I voiced playfully as I lightly shoved him over.
"One of these days I'm going to get you back for bullying me." Aduin sassed
"I'm messing with you and I have the right." I giggled
"What right?!" Aduin screeched
"As your friend I have the right to mess with you whenever I see fit. Plus if I didn't mess with you I wouldn't think of you as a friend." I grinned
"Right whatever you say. I'll see you in a few weeks." Anduin laughed as he got on the boat. He waved as the boat left. I waited until the boat reached the horizon.
"Ready Ari?" I giggled as Ari spun in a circle. He jumped around as we left the docks, happy to be leaving and I was too. We walked through Old Town. The orange of the trees reflected off of the dark red roofs of the houses with their light brown oak wood walls. Some of the roof tiles were cracked with age, giving the buildings character.
Ari and I walked along the cobblestone streets passing by the guards that would give us the side look, some putting their hands on their swords as we passed. For some reason Anduin had to take the long way around to the Harbor. Somehow we managed to get out of the city without being pulled to the side about how I acquired my dog and how he was dangerous to the people of Stormwind. This was a pet peeve of mine, even though others have bears, mountain tigers, thunder cats or dogs, and even sometimes the possible small dragon. That doesn't include the animals they ride. But me having an oversized dog is all of the sudden a problem like I'm going to cause trouble. It's dumb if people can have trained dragons in the city. It's hypocritical, some lady can walk past a guard with two very large mountain lions and dissent gets pulled to the side, but when I'm standing around minding my own business then a small group of guards come up to me and start asking me questions. I can't even look in their direction because I'm trying to start something. I finally got out of the city with Ari right behind me.
