Author's notes

Hey yall, I'm sorry for it being a while. This month has been extremely long. We did a big move, then I wrecked my car, then our previous landlords decided to take the rest of my stuff despite us communicating with them about us still coming back to get it. It's just been wild but I've been thinking about the story a lot and I'm not giving up!

Any who, I'll be working on the next chapter soon, I have to go back through the game to remember the next section. I've been forgetting small details that could play a big part to the story and I just don't want to miss them. Like I almost forgot about the dogs being in the village. Not that big of a deal but it is to me.

I'll try to keep the updates close together. I'd give a proper time but I'm awful at sticking to a schedule. Every time I make one, something always happens to mess it up. I'm currently working on the next one as we speak. Or more like as you read. Anyway, enjoy the next chapter.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Several hours had passed and Amelia still dangled from the rafters. She tried swinging her legs to see if she could get a foothold but everything was just far enough away. Her toes could touch but that was about it. She tried willing her body to jump so she could grab the rafter but of course that didn't work. She tried everything. Her body ached and wrists were rubbed so raw at this point they bled. Tears started pouring down her face from the pain. Not to mention, it was starting to become difficult for her to push the reality of the situation out of her mind. She could die. Hell she had almost died already. The thought sent a shock through her chest, causing more tears to fall. Utterly exhausted, Amelia did her best to ignore her burning arms to focuse on getting some rest.
Within moments, She was standing back in that overly white hallway, except now the veins have made their way further down the hall. I'm back here? She walked to the kitchen where she first met Luna. The room was empty with the veins crawled all over the walls and ceiling.
"You damned parasite!" Amelia heard Luna yell out. She rushed in the direction of the noise and burst into a lab. Luna jumped and looked up from a computer, meeting Amelia's shocked expression.
"There is a lab. In my brain." Amelia stared into the room, mouth agape.
"Oh, hey!" Luna greeted then rushed around the desk, "I saw the predicament were in so no need to catch me up. We've got other problems right now." Luna grabbed Amelia's arm and pulled her around the desk.
"Why is there a lab in my brain?" Amelia asked while looking around. The room wasn't very big, a large island counter stretched across one side, sporting different sized beakers with various liquids and other chemist equipment.
"I have to have somewhere to work, silly." Luna said, giggling like that was the dumbest question she'd ever heard. "Anyway, we have a parasite and it's trying to take over our brain." She continued, poking her head a few time.
"Oh shit, that is a big problem. Fuck. I'm so fucking dead." Amelia was stuck in a thousand yard stare. It was one thing after another. First she gets kidnapped, then she's been injected with a parasite, forced to drink some disgusting black water, there is another conscious thing in her brain, now the parasite is going to take over said brain. Luna noticed Amelia on the verge of breaking down.
"Hey, hey, hey," Luna grabbed Amelia's face, forcing them to lock eyes, "Everything is going to be ok. We're going to get this thing out of us and we're going to survive. I just need you to trust me." Silence filled the room and Amelia closed her eyes and took a deep breath before nodding. Only then did Luna let go.
"It's not like I have much of a choice, now do I?" Amelia mumbled then sighed. "What's going on then?"
"The egg Luis was talking about is hatching and is causing a link to a higher powered host to try and take control of us. Like physically, not just mentally. I've been able to keep it from taking over but I think both of us should be able to keep it at bay completely." Luna pointed at the computer showing Amelia data of the egg. A live feed of the egg played on the monitor. It's slender body wiggled around like a worm while it's four legs were doing it'd best to squeeze through a small opening it had previously made.
"Again, how the fuck is there a lab in my brain…" Amelia mumbled again but more to herself. Visibly being able to see inside of ones own body, from their mind, it literally not possible. But then again, what does she have to lose. "Well go on then, how do I do it?" Luna then sat in the chair and beckoned Amelia to sit too.
"Well I'm sure you realized you're different from others." Luna started. Amelia's face immediately went sour, this is already feeling like 'The Talk'.
"You mean the fact that I have purple eyes and my natural hair color is dusty gray? What does that have to do with this?" Amelia crossed her arms and sat back into her chair.
"Weeelll," Luna started, "Um…this is going to seem crazy but I'm a spirit of the moon." Amelia just blinked at her, waiting for her to continue.
"You died when you were a baby." That sentence alone caused Amelia's mouth to fall open. "Devastated, your parents brought you to a lake not knowing I resided there and I decided to bless you with a piece of me, bringing you back to life. That's who I am and why it has a lot to do with how I've been able to keep the plaga back." Luna put it bluntly and waited patently for Amelia to absorb the information.
"How ironic I'm fretting over death and I've already died." Amelia scoffed. "I assume my parents know?"
"To an extent yes, your parents are oddly spiritual and could immediately tell something was different. I mean, aside from you coming back to life of course, but they never dared question it. As you grew older and started taking medication for ADHD, it ended up closing off our communication as a side effect, who knew?" Luna shrugged. "Anyway, because of me, you have the ability to control water and that is how I've been able to hold off the plaga." Luna pointed at the computer again.
"Wait, control water? Like a water bender? The more you talk the more I'm finding it hard to believe you." Amelia knitted her brows together. "You know this sounds crazy right? Just because I have purple eyes and gray hair doesn't mean anything. You could be a trigger my brain is doing to cope with the trauma I'm living through. Because I don't remember talking with you before. And it's crazy." She stood from the chair and started pacing.
"I know, it is crazy but please Amelia, all I ask is you give me a chance. You were very young when we used to talk, you might just not remember. I know this is a lot of news to take in but we really need to get this thing under control." Luna glanced back at the computer nervously. The plaga still slowly crawling its way out.
"What are we supposed to do?" Amelia sighed again and looked back at the computer.
"Come with me." Luna got up and walked over to a sink to fill up a glass of water. "So, I'm gonna need you to move the water in the cup. Like so." She proceeded to wave her hand around the glass in a circular motion, causing the water to stir. Amelia's eyes went wide.
"You seriously aren't joking. Are you sure I can even do this? I've never been able to move water before." Amelia asked.
"Are you sure you ever tried before?" Luna smiled softly and gestured at the cup. Amelia stared at the glass before slowly extending her hand to copy the same motion as Luna. Nothing. Amelia gave Luna a 'well now what' look.
"Hm," Luna frowned, "not what I thought was going to happen. Did you feel anything at all?" She asked.
"Disappointment." Amelia said bluntly.
"I'm serious, Amel."
"And so am I." Amelia glared, causing Luna to sigh.
"I'm sure it's because you've never done it before. After you get the feel for it, it'll be as easy as breathing. Now try again, imagine stirring the water with a weighted string." Luna demonstrated her movements again, making sure to point out how the string would be moving. Amelia tried several more times but it never worked.
"Maybe it's because we're in your head." Luna held her chin betwixt her fingers, thinking.
"How was this supposed to help anyway?" Amelia huffed in frustration.
"Well, since they had you drink that water, I've been able to keep it out of the brain as much as I possible but as you probably saw, it's not doing much. I was hoping the two of us would be able to do it but it seems we'll have to come up with another plan." Luna walked back over to the computer and started tapping away.
"I assume if the egg hatches, we're done?" Amelia asked, walking up behind Luna.
"Not sure, we only know what we know and all I know, is that we need to keep non-contaminated blood out of the brain and as much willpower as possible to keep in control." Luna said while looking up at Amelia.
"Gosh, this is so weird. I'm pretty sure humans can't control their body from the inside." Amelia thought aloud and rubbed her face in her hands, hoping the friction might wake her up from this wild dream.
"It seems humans can't because you haven't been able to do much but just be here. I seem to be the only one who can control inside the body." Luna slouched back in her chair. "Wait a minute," She jumped up, "Maybe that's it! You might have to control it from the outside while I do it on the inside." She said excitedly.
"Well uh, I'm kinda tied up. Literally and figuratively. What makes you think I can actually do the water thingy? You haven't exactly proven that I could do it." Amelia crossed her arms but before Luna could respond, several gun shots went off causing both women to look around. "Was that outside? Maybe it's help." Amelia said quickly.
"You're right, it could be. You need to wake up, how did you do it last time?" Luna asked.
"Ashley shook me awake, I assumed I would just wake up. This is all so new, I'm really just flying by the seat of my pants here." Amelia threw her hands up in frustration and started pacing again. Luna still sat in thought before she got an idea. Marching up to Amelia, Luna raised her hand high and slapped the shit out of Amelia.
Jolting awake, Amelia's heart was racing by the sudden attack. Oh you're so going to get it when I get back in there. A mumbled voice Interrupted her thoughts and she sat as still as possible.
"Umbrella?" A man yelled out, the rest of the sentence was too muffled to hear. Him speaking English is a good sign so she took the chance.
"Hello!" Amelia yelled out and waited a few seconds before yelling again, "Hello! Please tell me you're the help!" More mumbling then the attic door opened. She could hear furniture being moved down below then the ladder fell and within seconds, someone rushed up it and rounded the corner.
"I think I just found her." He touched a finger to his ear and rushed forward.
"Oh thank Glob." Amelia breathed.
"My name is Leon Kennedy, I was sent by the President to rescue both you and Ashley." Leon pulled a stool over so she could stand on it before cutting the rope. Still feeling exhausted, Amelia collapsed when she felt the weight of her full body. Leon grabbed her before she could fall and helped her sit down.
"I'm sorry, I don't know how long I've been hanging here." Amelia said while undoing her wrists. Leon noticed how raw they were, then took in the rest of her appearance. Her clothes were covered in dirt with a few tears here and there. Her dark curly hair did well to hide it but he knew it had to be knotted up. Her skin had a pale yellow tint and extremely pronounced veins with dried blood running down both of her arms. "Don't apologize, you look like you've been through hell. Here," He grabbed a spray from a side pouch, "Let me see your wrists." She stretched both her arm out and he started spraying. Amelia sucked in a sharp breath.
"Ignore my cries, I know this is going to help." Amelia yelped while Leon continued to bandage her.
"I'm sorry, just bare it a little longer. What happened?" He moved gently while wrapping each wrist, hoping not to cause more pain.
"They injected me with a parasite that's trying to control my brain. Apparently, I'm a special case and that's the only reason why I'm still alive." Amelia said while trying to ignore the burning. Finding something to focus on, she decided on her saviors face. Might as well put it to memory. The first thing she noticed was how long his lashes are. Paired with the dirty blond hair hanging in his face, his eyes were hidden. His features were sharp and his movements were fluid, like he's done this a thousand times. Considering he's a one man team sent to extract two humans, I'm sure he's pretty experienced despite his young appearance.
"There," He said while he tied off the last bandage and looked up, meeting Amelia's eyes. Bright blue eyes seemed to pierce her soul. "All finished." He said softly. Amelia realized just how close she was and quickly stood. Turning to hide her burning face, she started stretching her limbs hoping he didn't see.
"Thanks." Amelia inwardly face palmed at how stupid she was acting. This is no time to be ogling over Mr. Broad Shoulders, she needs to be focusing on helping them find Ashley so they can go home. "Have you found Ashley? They separated us a while back and I couldn't find her before they got me again."
"A man named Luis said he heard some of the locals has her locked up in a church." Leon said. Amelia perked up at Luis' name.
"Luis is alive?" Amelia asked.
"Yes, he spoke of you as well. Told me they caught you both at the same time but didn't know where they took you. I'm glad I found you and I'm sorry to say but we need to keep moving. Are you ready?" Leon turned and gestured behind him.
"Right, let's go find Ashley." She said with a nod. They headed down the ladder and out of the bedroom. Leon took point and led them down the stairs. He held his pistol at the ready but that wasn't his only arsenal. A shotgun and rifle are strapped to his back and another pistol rests holstered on his hip. A large combat knife is strapped on a tactical harness that really defines his shoulders. Stop! Amelia's face got warm and immediately looked away. This is going to be rough. Upon exiting the house, an animal whimper caught their attention. Leon held his pistol at the ready before he rounded the corner of the house revealing a wolf who's leg got caught in a bear trap.
"You too, huh?" Leon spoke while holstering his weapon and kneeled down, forcing the trap open. The wolf stepped out and staggered a moment before taking off. "Take care of yourself, buddy.". Silently, they made their way through a narrow path up to a gate. A man could be seen scurrying off as they got closer to the door.
"Stick close to me." Leon said as he pushed the gate open revealing the village. It didn't look much different during the day, still very aged, like it's been stuck in the stone age. Slowly making their way to the center of the village, Amelia noticed how quiet it was. As she was about to open her big mouth to say something about it when bell tower exploded. Leon quickly turned and shielded Amelia from potential debris.
"Jesus Christ, these people are crazy!" Amelia yelled her thoughts aloud. She saw movement from the corner of her eye and spotted a black wolf with red eyes and ravenous teeth lunging at them. She shoved Leon away from her in time for the mutt to jump in between them. Leon was quick to switch to his shot gun and blast the wolf in its face when it snarled at him. The animal dropped dead allowing Amelia to quickly get behind Leon as more wolves showed up. One jumped at them but he blasted it out of the air, it rolled a few times before it got up and ran off.
Leon was slowing backing up while trying to get some shots in and Amelia was doing her best to keep out of his way. She backed into a house and barely dodged a woman waiting on the inside. Leon still having to deal with the wolves cursed at not being able to help her. The woman rushed again and Amelia grabbed her by the arm and used her momentum to swing her into the stairs. As Amelia let go of the woman's arm, she could hear a distinct ding ring in her ears. Her eyes landed on a trip mine positioned on the stairs the woman is about to land on. Turning away, she shielded her face in time for the bomb to go off.
Amelia could feel bits of wet shrapnel slap against her back. Her ears were ringing due to being close to the blast. She couldn't hear Leon yelling for her but the muffled blast of the shot gun still vibrated through her. Looking back at the woman, half of her body was exploded and it's mangled remains hung over the railing. Blood pooled the area as well as splatter the walls and ceiling. That's when she realized she was covered in this woman's blood and body parts. Saliva quickly filled her mouth but Amelia swallowed it back hoping to keep herself from throwing up. She took a beep breath but immediately regretted it. The smell of blood and mildew filled her nostrils causing her to cover her mouth.
"Amelia!" Leon moved in front of her, blocking the view of the woman. He grabbed her by the shoulders and seemed to be examining her for injuries. "Hey, look at me, I need to know if you're hurt." His tone was demanding but worry spread across his features. Amelia let out a few shaky breaths out while shaking her head no.
"Not physically but I'm sure I'll be thinking about this one for a while." She was staring into Leon's chest, or more like through it. She could still vividly see the corpse in her mind. She killed that woman. Closing her eyes she grabbed Leon's arms to steady herself. "Please give me 10 seconds to calm down."
Without waiting for his response, Amelia would take a few deep breaths, in through the nose, out through the mouth while counting to ten in her head. Opening her eyes, let go of his arms and nodded. Leon stared a her a few moments longer to make sure she's alright then responded the same way. Heading back out of the house, three wolf corpses laid about. I thought there was four of them. Her thoughts were Interrupted by a low growl. Great, another jinx. Before either could react, the wolf successfully pounced on Leon. The shot gun flew out of his hands and landed near Amelia. Quickly grabbing it, she rushed over and smashed the butt of the shot gun on the dogs head, successfully staggering it. She then proceeded to kick the dog off of Leon before finishing it off.
Leon seemed shocked but impressed while he picked himself up off the ground. Amelia handed the gun back to him.
"I borrowed this." She half smiled. Her attempt to lighten the mood on their grim situation made Leon chuckle.
"This way." Leon rushed up to a house on the right and kicked the door in, quickly sweeping to make sure nobody was in the room. A trip wire bomb was spread across the middle of the room but Leon expertly defused it. He then repeated the process on the next door, except this time he shot a few times. A woman howled out in pain but rushed Leon anyway. Quickly pulling out his knife, he blocked her attack then jammed the knife in her neck, successfully killing her. Amelia numbed out the fact that another human died in front of her, she had too. It's kill or be killed now.
Continuing out the window, they made their way to the town hall. Leon disposing of more villagers along the way. Amelia couldn't help but feel sad for these people. Clearly they were being controlled, Luis spoke about it as well. Leon unlocked the town hall door and they made their way into the building.
Inside was definitely not what they were expecting. The front room opened up to chairs scatters about, facing a portrait of the man in the purple robe with the really gross staff. Quickly looking away for fear of the memories, she noticed a mummy wrapped head on the floor. Looking up, dozens of wrapped severed heads were placed all over the room. On the back wall, a head 10x the size of a normal human sat surrounded by more normal heads.
"Ah yes, more fuel for my nightmares." Amelia said aloud. Leon scoffed.
"You got that right. Come on, let's keep moving." He said and pushed open the next door. Further up, the church came into view with a small graveyard out front. A crow distracted Leon enough for a villager to lung out from behind some bushes and grab at Leon's throat. Amelia rushed forward and jabbed some pressure points up the villagers side, causing him to release Leon which allowed him to push him off and shot him once in the head with his pistol, killing him instantly.
"Damn, nice shot." Amelia said, flabbergasted.
"Thanks, and thanks for the help." He said just as impressed.
"Sure," Amelia smiled, "Also, I promise I'll answer all of your questions, I can see you already have several." The villager Leon just killed started to convulse on the ground. "What the fuck is he doing?" Amelia stepped behind Leon who quickly kneeled down and shoved his knife in the villagers throat, ceasing his movements.
"Shit, let's keep moving." He ordered. They reached the church entrance but the whole thing was barred shut.
"She's got to be in there, this place is locked up tight. Like, what kind of key even is this?" Amelia pointed to a circle the size of a small plate carved out where the key hole should be.
"Things just keep getting weirder, let's check over here." Leon walked down the side of the church. A door was just to the left of the entrance. He signaled for Amelia to wait at the door then he jogged forward to check behind the church. Quickly returning, the two stepped through the door. Once inside, they took a moment to collect themselves. Leon walked over to a photo of the village that acted as a map for the key to the church. Amelia noticed a drawer and being her nosy self, she went to open it but found it locked.
"lol, nope." She mumbled to herself. Her eyes scanned the area and she found a couple bobby pins and a flathead screw driver. Within seconds she had the drawer open.
"What are you doing?" Leon said and Amelia quickly turned around, looking like a kid caught in the cookie jar.
"Lock picking this drawer." She squeaked out, pointing to the now opened drawer. Inside was a small yellow diamond.
"You can lock pick too? Anything else you want to add to the list?" Leon joked but Amelia looked sheepish.
"Um," Amelia scratched the back of her head, "I might." Leon leaned against a table and crossed his arms, silently waiting for her to continue. "I know how to carry a firearm, pistols are my go to and I promise I'd prove it if I had my wallet, I'd show you my carry license. My grandpa taught taekwondo so I learned a few moves from him and basic self defense. I got interested in pressure points on my own. Thought it would help me take down people bigger than me but the good that did me." She said that last part more to herself, while thinking of the brute with the scar.
"The lock picking I learned for fun as well but my mother taught me. Uh," Amelia squinted her eyes thinking if she should tell him about Luna. As far as she knows, it's still a trauma mechanism. Leon pointed at his eyes, silently asking about her own.
"Oh, I'm sorry, you acted pretty normal when we first met, I forgot about not having my contacts in. To my knowledge I was born this way." Amelia answered. Leon sat still, processing the info when Hunnigan called in.
"I'm here." He put his hand up to his ear.
"Leon, have you located the church yet?" Hunnigan asked.
"Yeah," he turned around to reexamine the map, "We made it but it's locked tight. I'm looking at a map that tells me the key is on the other side of a lake near by." He turned back and looked at Amelia. "Could you contact Amelia's parents and ask them if there is anything special we need to know about they're daughter?" Amelia nodded her head in agreement and gave the ok signal with her hand.
"Why? Is something wrong with Amelia?" Hunnigan asked.
"That'll be up to the parents. Condor one, out." He tapped the Bluetooth in his ear.
"I totally understand and absolutely agree. I promise I don't know what's going on with me either and I think I have a right to know." Amelia huffed in frustration. Just thinking about her parents keeping something like this a secret pisses her off. She could understand how difficult it is to explain to a child but she hasn't been a child in a long time.
"Let's get going. Oh yeah, and don't expect me to give you a gun." He said while pointing at her.
"I guess I'll just have to find my own." She shrugged while shaking her head jokingly. Leon sighed and shook his own head before kneeling down to open a floor hatch. She'd kill to hear his thoughts right now. Dropping down the hole, they followed a small tunnel of graves that exited on the other side of a fence that was near the church.
The path lead down to a wooden bridge that hung over the cliff side. Amelia took a deep breath and kept her eyes forward. Ain't no impending doom if you can't see it.
"¡Ellos estan aqui!" A man yelled out. Leon took no time disposing of him as they kept pushing forward. The sound of a burning wick caught Amelia's attention. Flying overhead was a stick of dynamite that was headed straight at them. Instinct kicked in and Amelia snatched it out of the air, quickly throwing it back before it exploded, killing its owner. Leon grabbed Amelia's hand and pulled her just out of a villagers reach then sent a swift kick to his chest, knocking him off the bridge to the water below. A small shed was built into the wall and a ladder was near by. The wooden path turned into a wall forcing them to go up.
The two quickly ascended the ladder as a few more villagers showed up. In front of them, a woman was lighting the rag of a molatov. Leon was filling her with bullets but like some super human monster, she acted like it wasn't even effecting her. Throwing the bottle, it exploded behind them catching another unexpected villager in the crossfire, causing him to stumble off the roof. Leon fired off a few more shots causing the womans head to explode. Her body stood completely still for a few seconds before an upside down squid looking thing popped out.
"What the fuck!" Amelia screeched out. It had several smaller tentacles wiggling about fast enough to whip the air and one long tentacle with a sharp hooked blade on the end. It slashed the air in front of Leon causing him to retreat.
"Back up!" He yelled while continuing to unload on the thing.
"We're almost out of room, Leon." Amelia said as she inched closer to the fire created by the molatov. The creature swiped its blade again and both had to duck to miss being beheaded. Even when crouched, Leon was filling this thing with lead. Running out the clip on the pistol, he fluidly switched to the shot gun and shot it point blank. It's head exploded a second time and this time the body collapsed.
"I'm so fucking dead." Amelia stared at the body. The plaga inside her could pop her head off at any moment. At her thoughts, both of her arms moved on their own and she slapped both of her cheeks. Shock spread across her features and Leon looked at her confused. Willpower Amel, you have to pull yourself together. You can't be swayed at every turn. Don't forget you have me, I'm not going to let that happen to us. Luna's voice echoed through her. Amelia slowly put her arms back down. Hearing Luna was shocking but the fact she took control of her arms was even more so. If anything, she's right. Right now Amelia didn't have the time to be freaking out over every little thing. She needed to stay strong, she promised Ashley to do so and she needed to do the same.
"You ok?" Leon asked.
"Yeah, just trying to pull myself together." Amelia answered and Leon nodded.
While they continued to advance forward, Leon was quickly cycling through his weapons, making sure each one is fully loaded. Further down, a tunnel was dug into the cliff. Sticking close together, Leon turned on his flashlight, making sure to check each corner before they rounded them. The square cut out of the tunnel made Amelia to believe the stone was being used for building purposes. The other side of the tunnel opened up to reveal a massive sledgehammer that was easily four times the size and weight of what a normal human could use.
"Good luck finding someone to lift that thing." Leon joked and Amelia's mouth feel open. "What?"
"Go knock on that wood, you just jinxed the fuck out of us." Amelia stomped over next to the hammer, beckoning Leon to join her. Smirking, he walked over and they knocked on the wood at the same time.
"Happy?" He raised his eyebrows, questioningly.
"No," she stated bluntly, "something tells me we're going to see whatever can carry that thing. I'm afraid the jinx is set in stone." She finished with a dramatic sigh. Leon chucked and peaked around the corner. A flock of crows that sat in the middle of a clearing with a few sheds off to the side.
"I guess we'll just have to find out. Wait here." Leon commanded and walked out causing the crows to scatter. Only when he reached the other side did be call her over. A small shrine stood behind a wall further down the path and Amelia couldn't help but check it out. The key hole is definitely custom made, it's in the shape of the cults strange emblem. Like a walking stick with a big head. Or maybe some kind of weird ant. An image of the egg inside of her flashed through her memory. Albeit dumbed down, it had to be the symbol of the plaga.
"Think you can pick it?" Leon asked curiously.
"Maybe if I had my tools and six arms. I can already tell by the look that the mechanism has one pin in each hole. I mean, unless the craftsman is an idiot that is. It would be easier and faster to find the key." Amelia explained then popped her lips, "But if I had time, I'd be doing my best to crack that bitch open." She let out a disappointed sigh. Leon hummed a response and they continued forward, walking down set of stairs that lead them further into a cave. A stand with a blue flame cast flicking shadows on the ceiling and walls as they descended. Leon pushed open a set of double doors. Another blue flame illuminated the cave inside.
"Well look at you, mate!" A man wearing a long dark trench coat said while staring at Amelia then nodding at Leon. He was standing behind a counter with weapons and ammo neatly placed about. Amelia walked up to the wall holding a rocket launcher. Raising her eyebrows, she let out a low whistle.
"How did you get your hands on this?" She leaned forward inspecting the piece when the merchant leaned over the counter, getting inches from her face.
"What's that? How have we procured these curiosities? Heheheh, you don't wanna know." He leaned back then addressed Leon. "What can I do for you, mate?" Leon pulled out a small pouch containing a bunch of gold coins in various sizes.
"Woah, can I see one of those?" Amelia stepped closer, looking at the pile in Leon's hand. He bounced the pile in his hand to grab one between his index and thumb before dropping it into her hand. Like most coins, the face of an important figure was on one side with a small phrase written in Spanish and the other was a crest. One Peseta.
"Hm." She hummed. She handed it back then proceeded to snoop around the immediate area. Random crates and supply boxes were scattered about as well as fishing equipment. A ladder dropped down to a dock below. A natural water cave curved further into the cliff side and light shined in from the other direction, revealing the mouth of the cave.
"Pleasure doing business with you." The merchant nodded and Leon turned around.
"You ready?" He asked. Amelia nodded and they headed back out. Not knowing what difficulties lie in their way.
