Strasbourg, a major key city of the European Union.
At La Petite France, our heroes and the Phryges carried the Olympic Flame while admiring the entire village. Sooner or later, those heroes and the Phryges will have their minds opened up to lessons in human rights and the ethics they value the most…..
At the Grande Ile, they strolled past Palais Rohan and the Notre Dame Cathedral of Strasbourg. The Phryges and the heroes met up with Spirou and Fantasio again, with the Marsupilami happy to reunite with them. Spirou decided to take the heroes and the Phryges a tour around Strasbourg, showing them attractions around this area. They went thrugh the Strasbourg Museum of Decorative Arts where it shows the artifacts and handiwork of the talented sculptors from the past. Later on, a decision was made when they plan to split up at. They would split up at end of journey, with Spirou and Fantasio calling up Rayman, the Pink Panther and the Marsupilami. They visited European related buildings and learned more about the history of the European Union, like Arte and other institutions.
"Here is the European District, where it was built after reconciliation with France and Germany. This street signifies the value of reconciliation and forgiveness we have to uphold in order to maintain harmony between us. If we don't, destruction will follow and we will suffer in the end!" Spirou explained.
They then approached a huge building with European flags, which was indeed the building that belongs to the European Union. It was a huge court and the entire Parliament itself, representing on behalf of the European Union. Even several places like the European Parliament and other European Union-related institutes were given in explanations during the tour of Strasbourg.
"This city is part of the European Union, just take a look at the European Parliament and the EU Council of Human Rights. We stand for human rights because they uphold utmost importance for us – the right to have education, healthcare, freedom of speech and opinions, dignity, liberty, equality and other fundamental rights we deserve the most. Without them, it will lead to us not living in harmony and will result in unstable chaos!" Papa Smurf explained.
"So we must be thankful!" Madeline added. They both nodded in agreement and went on to leave for another destination. Just then, a villainous voice came from nowhere, saying, "Tsk, tsk, tsk, Going somewhere, dunderheads?"
The heroes turned around and saw two new villains behind them. They are both teenagers, a male and a female. They were out for blood and the Olympic Flame too!
"The name is Caelus, and that is my comrade Stella. We heard that you guys have an unhealthy obsession with human right standards; so please back down or be destroyed!" demanded the grey-haired male teenager.
"Hey, don't you know that you guys deserve human rights too? We feel really sorry for you since you are the one who never experienced what it was like to live under the ethics and rules we have been through!" snapped Spirou.
"Human rights? What rights? We are already living our best lives without human rights unlike you losers, you still dare to petty about the little things like Uyghurs, Tibetans, Taiwan and Hong Kongers?" Stella sneered.
"And what about the Tiananmen Square and the Cultural Revolution? Mao Zedong was a murderous villain, and your evil leader Xi Jinping is using you!" Papa Smurf retorted back.
"Still stubborn as ever, eh? Very well then, let the annihilation begin!" Caelus was annoyed that he revealed his weapon, ready to attack.
Boss – Caelus and Stella
Caelus and Stella were inherently evil, with their malicious intent showing when attacking our heroes. Their stubbornness and power were on display, ruthlessly hurting the heroes in the process. Some of the heroes were badly injured, with Olivia, Madeline and the Phryges tending to their wounds.
"What's the matter, can't keep up the pace?" Stella jeered.
Papa Smurf looked at the situation until he saw Spirou holding something. It was a copy of the book that the evil communists feared, with the characters written in Chinese which read 'Nine Commentaries'.
Spirou added, "This book is imbued with magical powers. It is the weapon that the evil communists China fears the most because it exposes their evil deeds and roots that came from the Devil's darkest desires! That is the Nine Commentaries, a good counter against the evil Chinese communists!" An idea sparked in Papa Smurf's mind, ready to turn the tide.
Papa Smurf saw Gaulois and Madeline, and he quickly tossed the book over to them. Madeline "Say, how about you read this?!" A book called the 'Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party' was handed over to Caelus and Stella, causing them to panic when they opened it. The Tuidang Phoenix emerged from the pages of the book, glaring at Caelus and Stella with an unpleasant gaze.
"Your evil actions have hurt the people of this world, and your cohorts shall suffer since they committed such evil and foul deeds that cannot be forgiven! Going against the gods, heaven and earth shall result in punishment and retribution!" The Tuidang Phoenix uttered solemnly, using its powers to conjure up nine swords. Caelus and Stella felt horrified, and they turned around to see the Phryges, Gaulois and Madeline preparing to do a finishing attack with Asterix.
"This is for the people of Tibet, Hong Kong, East Turkestan, Taiwan and the rest of the world!" Gaulois shouted. He, Madeline and the Phryges joined Spirou and the Marsupilami to do a powerful finishing attack thanks to the magical weapons and items he received earlier on during the journey.
"Blast you human rights defenders! Someday, we will return to exterminate you all and bow before us!" Caelus and Stella shouted as they were sent flying into the sky. The heroes thanked the Tuidang Phoenix and bid him farewell, since the Tuidang Phoenix was on a journey to cleanse the minds of the evil communists from China.
The Metz is just the beginning for our heroes and the Phryges. The Marsupilami, Rayman and the Pink Panther joined Spirou and Fantasio for another path to Paris, while leaving Gaulois, Madeline and co to continue their journey with the Olympic Flame.
