I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving and are prepared for their Winter Holidays.

It's time for the first Side-Short. Now Side-Shorts are simply short chapters focusing on the side characters and guest characters that aren't really important to the plot. More world building you can say. Think the Helluva Shorts form Helluva Boss. So if it's more involved with shows you don't know, you can just skip them.

Now Enjoy.

.

Mr. Smoothie, Bellwood.

At the local Mr. Smoothie, a large line of people were waiting in line. Some the usual residence of Bellwood. Some the alien locals from Undertown, now used to living with the humans above them. And one unusual person at the back of the line, seemingly coming out of nowhere.

The boy was wearing a green student uniform from Japan. He had pink hair, green tinted glasses, and what appeared to be antennas coming out of the side of his hair.

[My name is Kusuo Saiki] thought Kusuo Saiki (The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.) to no one in particular [And I have psychic superpowers].

.

.

.

[Yes. I'm aware that someone is paying attention. That's not whats important] thought Saiki as he moved up the line [What is important is the reason why I'm in America].

On a menu board above the Mr. Smoothie register, a promotion for a new flavor of smoothies was being displayed. Coffee Jello flavored smoothies.

[Since I'm in the back of the line. I guess I can take a minute to explain myself. First off as you can see, I'm not talking] thought Saiki as his mouth stayed shut [I'm talking to you with my telepathy. As I said before, I have psychic powers. Sixteen years ago, an ordinary couple gave birth to an not so ordinary baby boy who grew up into yours truly. Unlike the main characters of this story, I don't use my powers to save people like a superhero or go on life changing adventures. In fact, my goal in life is to simply live a normal life].

Up the line, a Maxatomar alien sneezed.

"Bless you" said the Gourmand behind him.

"Thank you" said the Maxatomar.

[... Okay, so in this day and age, there's no such thing as ordinary anymore] thought Saiki [I must say, I'm impressed the people of Bellwood can just casually live alongside aliens. I guess having Ben 10 as your local Superhero makes people a bit lax. I can't say I'd enjoy it].

Saiki stayed silent as he moved up a little in the line.

[Oh? You think I'm over exaggerating? I am not. As someone who has just one person 'thinking' I'm a superhero and having him fanboying over me, I wouldn't dare think how annoying it be to have the number increase. Let alone having it be public knowledge. And I know about your other question. If your such a powerful guy with such incredible powers, why not use them? I would love to answer that, but I'm next. So I bid this chapter over].

Saiki walked up to the counter.

"Hello sir" said the cashier "How can I help you?"

Saiki pointed to the advertisement.

"Oh, our Coffee Jello Smoothie. That's been surprisingly popular. One second sir"

As the employee turned back to make the smoothie, Saiki smiled at the unusual ease of his task.

"Ah man, this Earth food is weird" said a voice behind Saiki.

[Oh, another Alien] thought Saiki as he glanced behind him, taking in the alien behind him.

A Lepidopterran!

"Here's your smoothie sir" said the employee as he came back.

Only to find Saiki was completely gone.

"Oh, I'm next" said the Lepidopterran, not aware of the person in front of him.

.

Amity Park.

Saiki landed on top of the Nasty Burger as his face looked mournful.

[There was a bug].

Saiki squatted down as to avoid people seeing him.

[Okay, since there's a little hiccup in my plan, I guess I can entertain you more] Saiki rubbed the back of his head, careful not to scratch his antenna out of stress [First off, I have a low tolerance for bugs. Now it's not that I'm afraid of them. I'm not! It's that insects don't think. Which means that I can't hear any thoughts from them. As a psychic, I make a personal note to avoid anything who's thoughts I can't hear. If it wasn't for the educational system, I would avoid a similar being at school that never leaves me alone. And yes, I know that it's not an actual bug, but just a bug Alien. So I can hear it's thoughts. So I shouldn't be wary. But honestly, my body reacted before my mind. After years of avoiding insects altogether, my body's been wired to teleport away at the first sign of insects. So there wasn't anything I could do to prevent that. It was naive of me. I was so lax about the ideas of Aliens that I didn't take the thought of insect Aliens existing seriously].

Saiki stayed silent for several seconds as his eyes focused.

[Okay. I don't hear any out of place thoughts. So nothing is happening. If your confused, I can't turn my telepathy off unless I'm wearing my Germanium ring. So I would be hearing about thousands of thoughts all at once. Kind of why I don't like being near people. But in places like this, I have to be careful. I have an odd talent for attracting the weirdest people around me. Don't believe me. Watch my series. Or don't. Anyways, in this crazy crossover Earth, I can't risk attracting the attention of Alien Superheroes or Ghosts or anything like that. Then I'd never have any peace. I only took the risk of appearing in this story because none of the main characters are in this chapter].

Saiki teleported out of Amity Park.

.

Bellwood.

And back into Bellwood, though a different area.

[Which is related to the earlier question. Why don't I use my powers to help people? It's simple. I have no reason to. Now don't take that as me not caring. I use my powers to help people, just not publicly. I've destroyed asteroids coming to Earth, prevented wars, and kept my brother from taking it over countless times. It's just that being a hero is tiresome. No one would leave you alone, you attract all sorts of villains, and your face is public knowledge. Ben Tennyson's big head might like the idea, but I dread it].

Saiki was standing atop a building across another Mister Smoothie. He looked over the line and the tables around the building.

[Okay. Human. Mammal Alien. Human. Human. Aquatic Alien. Mammal Alien. Human. Human. Stan Lee. Human. Okay, no bug aliens].

Saiki teleported to the back of the line when no one was looking, right behind some large horse Alien.

[Okay, now to keep my guard up for several more people].

The next person in line after Saiki was another human. Then another. After five more people, Saiki exhaled in relief.

[Okay, that's enough people between the front and the back. Any aliens afterwards will just be background characters. So I shouldn't have a problem. Now I'll just wait. Guess that mean's I'll keep talking to you guys til then. I gotta admit though, usually I don't talk to you guys this much. Usually I mentally banter as I listen to the people I'm unfortunate enough to call friends].

Luckily for Saiki, the line moved quickly enough. Soon enough, the horse Alien was taking his order.

[Okay, just one more]

"Ugh! What is this?!"

Saiki frowned as the horse Alien spat at the employee.

"This Grass flavored smoothie has traces of Grasshopper flavor smoothie! This will not stand!"

"Um, I'm sorry sir" said the employee.

"Your apologies mean nothing to me human! If not for the truce, I would eat the flesh off your bones!"

[Oh boy] thought Saiki as he watched the horse creature, now confirmed as a Chud, raged on [The self entitled customer that rages at the littlest mistake. I don't know what's worst. That there's another hiccup in my quest or that it's been confirmed Rick and Morty takes place in this Multi-Media Earth].

Seeing that things were going to get physical, and risk attracting the attention of the Plumbers, Saiki acted fast. Using his Pyrokinesis, Saiki had a trash can to his right implode. As all eyes turned at the sudden combustion, no one noticed the sudden disappearance of two figures.

.

Goldman's Pharmacy/Quahog.

As Mort Goldman (Family Guy) stood behind his counter, the Chud crashed through the ceiling and crushed the counter and several displays.

.

Bellwood.

Saiki teleported to another Mister Smoothie as he mentally took in a big breath.

[Okay, I'm making this my last go].

Saiki once again checked the line for insect Aliens, teleported to the back of the line once all was clear, kept his guard up until the line behind him was clear, stayed focus on the Aliens in front of him. After several tense minutes, Saiki found himself at the counter.

"Hello sir, how may I help you?" asked the blonde girl behind the counter.

After waiting a tense second, Saiki pointed at the Coffee Jello Smoothie.

"Excellent choice sir" said the employee as she went to make the Smoothie.

Saiki dared not smile as anything could happen. All Saiki could do was stare intensely at the girl as she made his Smoothie.

"Here's your order sir"

Saiki took the cup, payed the girl, bowed his head, and walked off. After finding a vacant alley, Saiki walked down until he was sure he was out of sight, teleported out of Bellwood-

.

Saiki Residence/Japan.

- and back into Japan.

[And mission accomplished] thought Saiki as he allowed himself to smile as he headed to his House [I was expecting something big to happen, but I guess the Author wanted to give me a break. All's well that ends well].

Saiki took a triumphant sip of his smoothie-

-and tensed up as he took in the taste of his smoothie. Saiki took a neutral face as he lowered the beverage away from his mouth.

[I was a fool. I was expecting something weird and out of this world to happen, I didn't think of something simple. I got a dud smoothie].

A dud drink. Asking for a soda and getting that one drink that suddenly runs out of corn syrup, leaving only watery yuck. Someone hooking up the diet option to where the regular should go. Or in Saiki's case, asking for one drink and getting something close, yet not even being close. Such as the case of getting a Coffee Smoothie instead of a Coffee Jello Smoothie.

[Ugh, I'm too exhausted to rant at that employee] thought Saiki as he teleported the smoothie back to Bellwood, his payed money back in his hand [I'm just going to lay down and think about how to kill the Author from this side of the story].

Saiki entered his abode as his mother walked over.

"Oh there you are sweetie" said Kurumi Saiki (The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.) as she smiled at her son "I got a surprise for you!"

Being to beaten to care, Saiki followed his mom into the living room "While you were out, your friends came over to invite you to a new cafe that opened up"

His mother handed him a pamphlet that displayed all types of interesting sweets. Including several Coffee Jello based products!

"They were planning to go out this evening so you'll be back just in time for dinner. Have fun tonight with your friends sweetie!"

Once his mother left the living room, Saiki stared at the pamphlet and smiled to himself.

[Oh well] thought Saiki as he sat down at his table [My trip to America might have been in vain, but this is a good consolation prize. From now on, I'll just keep my Jello Coffee plots to my part of the world. These crossover trips just bring trouble].

CRASH!

The Chud from earlier was flung threw the living room wall as it crashed down at the table in front of Saiki.

"Take back your ******* Horse!"

.

Side Story complete.

Now while Saiki gets the horse out of his room, let me get the elephant out of the room. Why Saiki?

Well originally, Saiki was one of my picks for the Anime character slot for the All-Stars team. In fact, there were ten picks in total. But I passed them over for one reason or another. Here they are.

Izuku Midoriya/Deku: Deku was actually one of my earlier picks, but the problem arose with the fact that I couldn't blend a '90 percent of the World having powers' world in with the rest of the series. If My Hero Academia did appear in the story, it would be as an Alternate world. Like how Ben 10 and Generator Rex take place in alternate worlds. Plus I wanted to see how the series ended before I started anything.

Straw Hat Luffy: Like with My Hero Academia, I don't see One Piece taking place in the same world as the rest. But more importantly, I don't see Luffy joining the team. I could see Luffy fighting with the team to fight someone, but Luffy wouldn't drop his quest to be the Pirate King to play Superhero, nor would the team welcome a loose cannon pirate among their ranks.

Goku or Gohan: I really wanted to put a Dragon Ball character on the team. But I don't see Goku joining a team with his character, even if I did have this take place before Z. It's one thing to be on a fighting team to fight strong enemies. It's another to be on a Superhero team. Gohan could have worked, if I placed this after the Buu Arc. But then I would have to play the story alongside the plots from Super which would be annoying. And I wanted to see where the Super Manga was going after the Super Hero arc before I did anything Dragon Ball related with my story. Damn that hiatus.

Ranma Saotome: If my username doesn't give it away, I'm a huge fan of the Ranma 1/2 series. But I'm afraid compared to my other picks, Ranma 1/2 is low on the familiarity ladder. At least till the remake was announced.

Sailor Moon: It was an interesting idea to have more magic base characters on the team, plus it would have made the team gender even. But the sad truth is that I'm not familiar or invested enough in the Sailor Moon franchise compared to the other and I didn't want to be one of those Authors that uses stories they've never watched. If you think I should give it a chance, feel free to preach.

Yusuke Urameshi: Having the Spirit Detective (Or Ex if you go further into the story) would have been amazing to have on the team. But like Luffy and Goku, Yusuke's personality and goals don't really blend with the rest of the team.

Astro Boy: The robot boy would have been a great addition to the team, but I decided I only wanted one robot founder on the team.

Saitama: I actually laugh when I think back on that option. The problem with having Saitama on the team is that it either leads to things being handled in one punch or Saitama is having a B-Plot while everyone is fighting for their lifes.

And finally Saiki: Saiki K is one of my favorite stories. But like with so many, his personality and goals just clashes with the rest of the of the team.

Which led to me picking Inuyasha for the team. His series is popular enough, I knew enough about his series to be lore accurate, and I could come up with a plot that would keep him on the team.

Now with that out of the way, let's answer some questions.

It would be a crime if I didn't include Randy Cunningham somewhere down the line. When and how remains to be told.

When I include Hazbin Hotel characters to the story depends on when Vivziepop decides to reveal where Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss takes to each other. Hopefully something is revealed soon. I would really like to go off more off both series, especially after Mastermind. The feels. They were real.

Liked the Side Short? Let me know and I'll do more.

Next chapter, we return to the main story. Until then.
