CHAPTER 4

The Party Begins

Great Fox: Interior

Matt Sterling was fast asleep in his bed probably due to last night's dinner filling him up. Suddenly he was awoken by an intruder alert alarm which made him jump out of his bed with a swift jolt and immediately got his clothes on in record time. Matt Sterling then grabs his cosmo gun and runs out of his quarters to respond to the alert and deal with the "intruder". Matt Sterling then hears some noises coming from the main living room area of the ship.

"The living room! The intruder is in there!" Matt Sterling said to himself as he darted towards the living room which has its lights mysteriously turned off.

Matt Sterling then entered the room while pointing his cosmo gun in multiple directions. As he flipped the switch to the lights the rest of the Star Fox team and the 125th Legion along with their allies appeared and set off some party poppers.

"Happy Birthday Matt!" the group shouts as Matt Sterling is still surprised at the display.

"Matt has a big day! Matt has a big day!" said the group of Haros that belong to Amuro, Kamille, and Uso as the trio of green spherical robots jump up and down.

"Oh thanks guys!" Matt Sterling said with glee.

"Well that's not all we did for your birthday!" Fox McCloud said as he leads his trusted weapons expert outside of the Great Fox.

As Matt Sterling walks outside with the rest of the group, Matt Sterling's face lights up with joy seeing everyone has Decorated the interior and exterior of the Galactic Federation and Cornerian coalition joint base.

"Boss you and the rest of the team didn't have to go all out like this." Matt Sterling says while trying to be humble to his leader.

"Well Matt don't just stand here, let's go have some fun!" Judau Ashta said, which prompted Matt along with the group to join the crowd.

Everyone was having a good time while they celebrated Matt Sterling's birthday. Matt was then opening some of the presents he got, some of them were Gunpla model kits, a few action figures, LEGO sets, a lot of video games, and all sorts of cool stuff. Matt Sterling even got a super deluxe art set from Pisces which would help him improve his art skills. Just as the group of heroes continued the celebration a big cake on a cart arrived in the middle of the room.

"Hey they cake is here and Cancer I gotta hand it to you,Lt. Hirata, and Spongebob you guys made a massive cake in record time! I didn't know you and the cooks would have it done by now" Matt Sterling said unaware of the truth about this massive cake as Cancer has an uneasy look on her face.

"The thing is we didn't make that cake and the cake we made is still getting the finishing touches as we speak!" Cancer revealed with a shocked expression on her face.

Just then the "cake" explodes and a smokescreen is deployed. Out of nowhere an evil yet familiar laugh is heard by our heroes.

"I know that laugh. Bowser!" Mario said as he clenched his fists.

As the smoke cleared the Bowser and some of the villains appeared ready to fight our heroes.

"It seems that we've arrived unannounced and more specifically uninvited!" Dr Eggman said with an evil grin on his face.

"Well no matter, let's consider this payback for what happened during the closing ceremony!" Ridley said.

"And if you heroes think you're going to humiliate us again like last time, think again!" Megatron said while powering up his energy cannon.

"Oh yeah? You guys and what army?" Aaron said as he crossed his arms.

And just like that the villains reveal all their troops and machines after Aaron just said the infamous yet very cliche line that should not be said in situations like this one.
"You just had to say that line!" Aries said in a baffled yet very frustrated and shocked tone before punching him.

"I deserved that! Sorry about that guys." Terran apologized before getting healed by Keith M.

"Hey guys I'd hate to be that guy but we got a fight on our hands!" Falco announced.

"Falco is right, everyone. We have to stop the villains before they ruin my birthday!" Matt Sterling said as he activated his Varia suit along with Samus as she activates her Varia Suit also.

"Alright Super Smash Bros Team Let's a go!" Mario shouts.

"Okie dokie!" Luigi chimes in.

*TALLY HO! (MACROSS FRONTIER)*

The heroes then charge in to attack the villains. Fox, Krystal, Falco, Slippy, Samus, Kate, Humphrey, Lilly, Hutch, Candu, and Matt Sterling are using their weapons on the villains' troops while Garth uses a Landmaster tank to destroy a Zaku II.

"Really a One Year War era mobile suit? You got to have a death wish or something fighting against us in an extremely outdated machine that's not at least retrofitted or refitted with new tech!" Garth said.

SMS Skull Squadron in their respective VF-25 Messiahs along with Gamlin, Max, and Milia Jenius in their VF-22 Sturmvogel IIs take out some of the Gol Boddole Zer's Zentradi troops and their Reguld battle pods, Glaug commander battle pods, Gnerl fighter pods. While DK uses a mega mushroom to grow big in order to defeat a Nousjaduel-Ger Zentradi Battle Suit that was about to attack Diddy Kong and Funky Kong from behind. Link is slashing some foes with the Master sword and assists Optimus Prime by firing a Bomb arrow at a Geara Zulu's monoeye so its attacks are less accurate. The Star Fox team then get in their Arwings to join up with Susumu Kodai in his Cosmo Zero and the rest of the Space Battleship Yamato's Fighter Corps to fight the enemies in the air. Seabook Arno uses the Gundam F91's weapons to take out some of the flying enemies and their ships before using the Gundam F91's VSBRs to shoot the bridge of a Ruffian Corps cruiser, while Uso Ewin uses the V2 Gundam's wings of light to slice through Bowser's airships.

"My airships! Not again!" Bowser shouts before getting punched by Mario and Luigi.

"Why you mustachioed pests!" Bowser said before doing a fire attack which the Mario Bros dodged and hit Bowser with their hammers.

Amuro Ray in the RX-93 Nu Gundam and Optimus Prime are fighting Char Aznable in the MSN-04 Sazabi and Megatron, as Amuro uses the Nu Gundam's Fin Funnels to attack and distract Megatron via his blind spots to defend Optimus Prime as he's dodges the shots from Sazabi's funnels so he can strike Char's mobile suit. As Megatron saw what appeared to be an opening and as he was going to shoot Optimus Prime, some of the Nu Gundam's fin funnels blasted him from behind.

"Bested by a human? That's impossible!" Megatron said as he growled with anger.

The RED Team was using their weapons to help defend some of our heroes who needed to hang back and recover while the Medic Ubercharges the Heavy as he fires his minigun at a large group of enimies.

"Look at you, tiny little men getting decimated!" Heavy taunts as he fires his minigun.

Soldier fires a rocket at a Reguld battle pod which made the crit nose before it got destroyed. Judau in the ZZ Gundam fire's the ZZ Gundam's double beam rifle and micro missiles to destroy a group of Venom troop carriers before he sliced a Death Egg Robot Mass Production Type in half with the ZZ Gundam's hyper beam saber. Kamille uses the Zeta Gundam's beam rifle and head mounted vulcan guns to shoot down some venom fighters and Neo Zeon mobile suits. Sonic performs a homing attack which takes out multiple troops and spindashes into some Eggpawns which get knocked down like bowling pins. Meanwhile while the Star Fox team along with Seabook in the Gundam F9, Uso in the V2 Gundam, Susumu Kodai in his Cosmo Zero, and the Yamato Fighter Corps in their Cosmo Tiger IIs and Cosmo Pythons were doing some damage to the enemy fleet while the Space Battleship Yamato provides backup by firing the shock cannons which heavily damaged and even one shotted some of the ships in the villains' fleet. Just as Matt Sterling and Fox were about to finish off the last of the enemies in the air, Wolf and the rest of the Star Wolf team appear in their Wolfens

*STAR WOLF'S THEME (STAR FOX ZERO)*

"Don't get too cocky, Star Fox Team!" Wolf said as his team began to attack the Star Fox Team and their allies.

Leon went behind one of the Yamato Air Corps pilots and attempted to lock on to the pilot's Cosmo Tiger II.

"I'll have fun torturing this one!" Leon said with a sadistic smile.

"Oh no you don't!" Susumu Kodai said as he fired his Cosmo Zero's laser cannons at Leon's Wolfen which damages the craft and allows the Cosmo Tiger II pilot to evade safely.
"Grrr I'll remember that!" Leon taunts.

Panther is seen getting behind Kate and is about to fire a charged shot but before he is about to shoot down Kate, Krystal along with Lilly in her Arwing and Akira Yamamoto in her Cosmo Python open fire on Panther.

"Keep your filthy hands off my sister and my friend!" Lilly Silverfang shouts.

"Jeez the white one is getting more feisty just like her older sister!" Panther said.

"Yeah I've heard enough!" Akira Yamamoto said as she fired her Cosmo Python's missiles which damaged the craft heavily.

"Krystal you're up next!" Akira Yamamoto then says as she leaves the rest to Krystal as she deals the finishing blow to Panther's Wolfen with her Arwing's hyper lasers.

"How could this be? I've never been this humiliated before!" Panther said before he flew off.

"Hey Leon, think fast!" Falco said as he fires his twin lasers at Leon's Wolfen which damages it to the point where it couldn't continue fighting.

"Me?! ME!?" Leon said as he flew off.

Meanwhile Fox and Matt Sterling were still dealing with Wolf. As the two clashed with the leader of the rival team Matt Sterling then gets an idea.

"Fox I'll distract Wolf, you damage him and we'll do the finishing blow!" Matt Sterling said.
"But Matt, that sounds a little risky!" Fox said.

"Fox I've put my trust in you multiple times in the past just let me repay you by putting your trust in me!" Matt Sterling said.

With that Matt then gets Wolf's attention by firing a charged shot as wolf deflected the shot by rolling.

"Come and get me O'Donnell! I'm gonna take you for a real ride!" Matt Sterling said.

"I'm looking forward to this! You'll soon regret that bucket head!" Wolf said as he began to tail Matt Sterling's Arwing.

As Matt Sterling distracts Wolf Fox comes up behind and shoots his Wolfen a few times before Matt Sterling uses the Arwing's brakes to slow down and let Wolf fly past him.

"What the heck?" Wolf said in confusion.
"Fox now!" Matt Sterling shouted before the two fired their hyper lasers which finished off Wolf's Wolfen.

"Bested by a Fox and a Hybrid? Impossible!?" Wolf said as he flew off to rejoin his wingmen.

*ENDS*Just as things were about to look up for the heroes, Bowser then and the villains gathered around him.

"We're not done Yet!" Bowser shouts as he pressed a button which teleports a massive cannon similar to the one seen in Super Smash Bros Brawl.

"Shoot looks like we got to take that thing down!" Humphrey Lupus said, looking at the structure from his Arwing.

"I know what to do! I'll head back to the Yamato to fire the wave motion gun!" Susumu Kodai said as he flew his Cosmo Zero back to the Space Battleship Yamato.

"Caleb this is Lt Sanada here I'm detecting energy buildup in that cannon, it's going to fire and by my calculations it could do a lot more than just take out this area! I suggest we take it out as soon as possible." Shiro Sanada said as he contacts Caleb from the main bridge of the Space Battleship Yamato.

"Everyone, we need to destroy that thing before everyone here is as good as dead!" Caleb said as the other heroes nodded in agreement.

"Alright here we go!" Sonic shouts as he pulls out the Chaos Emeralds.

*PIONEERING YAMATO THEME (SPACE BATTLESHIP YAMATO 2199)*

Sonic and Shadow use the Chaos Emeralds to turn into their super forms. Kirby rides the Dragoon air ride machine and charges into battle. Tails pilots the X Tornado with Mario and Luigi on the wings and falls in line with the Samus Aran in her Gunship Star Fox Team in their Arwings, SMS Skull Squadron in their VF-25 Messiahs, and the Yamato Fighter Corps in their Cosmo Tiger IIs and Cosmo Pythons who are leading a large attack squadron of fighters that belong to the Galactic Federation and the Cornerian Army.

"Ok everyone Let's hit these guys with everything we've got!" Caleb said.

The Star Fox team fires their hyper lasers and Smart Bombs which do heavy damage to the cannon. Seabook Arno in the Gundam F91 Activates its "Full Operation" mode and assists Amuro Ray in the Nu Gundam by confusing the targeting systems of the cannon's defense weapons while the Nu Gundam and the Gundam F91 destroy the defenses and crippling the cannon with their respective weapons. SMS Skull Squadron fire shots from their gun pods and reaction missiles hitting critical parts of the cannon. Judau uses the ZZ Gundam's High Mega Cannon while Kamille uses the Zeta Gundam's Hyper Mega Launcher to hit a major part of the cannon. Kirby on the Dragoon along with Sonic and Shadow help Uso Ewin in the V2 Gundam slice parts of the cannon with the Wings of Light. Meanwhile Susumu Kodai along with the rest of the Yamato bridge crew are about to fire the Wave Motion Gun.

"Prepare to fire the Wave Motion Gun!" Susumu Kodai shouts.

"Opening circuits! Force injector activated!" Susumu Yamazaki said.

"Final Safety, released" Susumu Kodai said as the safety seal of the Wave Motion Gun opened.

"Increase in tachyon particle pressure inside the firing chamber!" Yasuo Nanbu announced.

"Target scope, open!" Susumu Kodai said as screens with targeting systems pop up as he pulls back the hammer on the "gun" controller and takes aim.

"Bow is now in firing alignment!" Susumu Kodai announced.

As with that a huge amount of blue energy starts building up near the bow of the Space Battleship Yamato which indicates the Wave Motion Gun is almost ready to fire at the villains' cannon.

"All crew put on anti-shock, anti-flash defenses" Captain Ryu Hijikata said as himself and the bridge crew put on special visors to protect themselves.

"Firing countdown, five, four, three, two, one!" Yasuo Nanbu said.

"Wave Motion Gun, fire!" Captain Ryu Hijikata shouted.

"Firing now!" Susumu Kodai Shouted as he pulled the trigger on the "gun" controller.

The Space Battleship Yamato then fires its Wave Motion Gun at the villains' cannon. As the blue beam heads straight for the cannon the villains go to Kamek so he can teleport them back to the Castle That Never Was.

"Oh crud! Kamek you got to teleport us out of here because we gotta bail now!"

"Yes sir!" Kamek said as he pulled out his wand to teleport the villains back to the Castle That Never Was.

And with that they all teleport out before the beam from the Wave Motion Gun vaporizes them completely. The cannon erupts in a fiery explosion and fortunately the cannon was far out to sea it didn't cause damage to any populated areas.

*ENDS*

"Mission complete everyone! Now let's continue with the celebration uninterrupted" Fox says which prompts the team to continue the celebration of Matt Sterling's birthday.

A few moments later everyone is having a fun time as our heroes continue the celebration for one of the members of their team.

*STAFF ROLL (SUPER MARIO 64)*

"Hey buddy, do you wanna drink?" Dr Sado asked Analyzer as he appeared to be a little drunk off of a bottle of Sake.

"My design is incapable of consuming liquids." Analyzer replied as the red robot that acts as the Space Battleship Yamato's autonomous sub mainframe computer refuses the drink offer.

"Oh well suit yourself" Dr Sado said.

Suddenly Cancer came out with the cake along with the other main dishes she helped make for the party.

"Ok everyone here's the cake, it's made with all the stuff Matt Sterling enjoys and best of all its villain free!" Cancer said as she gained a few laughs due to that small comment about the cake being "villain free".

"Hey guys before we dig in, I suggest we take a picture to commemorate this moment" Luke suggested.

"Hey I like that idea!" Matt Sterling said.

All the heroes then gathered together to take a picture near the Great Fox. Caleb then pulls out his phone to take a timed picture. As he puts his phone on a stand, he runs towards the group to get in the picture. Caleb then rejoins the group and smiles along with the rest of the heroes just before the camera reaches zero and takes the picture.

"Hey that came out really Good!" Slippy toad commented.

"Well let's go have that cake now because after that battle I'm starving!" Falco said

"I guess it's settled then. Star Fox team move out and go have some cake!" Fox said, instructing his teammates to go grab some cake.

"Hey guys I just want to say something before we go grab some cake." Matt Sterling said

"Yo!" Falco Lombardi said

"What's up?" Slippy Toad said.

"Yes, Matt?" Krystal said

"What is it Matt?" Fox McCloud Said

"Is there something on your mind Matt?" Samus Aran said

"Please tell us Matt!" Humphrey Lupus said.

"What do you have on your mind now Matt?" Kate Silverfang said.

"Do you need something Matt?" Garth Howler said.

"Matt, is something bothering you?" Lilly Silverfang said.

"Boss, what are you thinking about?" Hutch Canis said as he along with the other members of the 125th Legion are present and looking at one of their leaders.

"Hmm… What now Matt, hm?" Peppy Hare said.
"My friends… Thank you!" Matt Sterling said

The Star Fox Team and the 125th Legion rejoin the rest of the Super Smash Bros team inside for cake and to continue celebrating all the way into the night.

Holy smokes what a story! I can't believe I've finished my first story on my birthday and I'm really proud of it! Welp, now I got to get back to celebrating my birthday as Matt Sterling celebrates his so see you all next time!
