Chapter 81
— We seek an orderly transition towards change that preserves balance... we do not look to abuse power. —
Quaranir to Edzard during a conversation at the College of Winterhold.
The sound of the clock's hands on the wall filled the spacious room of the palace used by the Four Maous in the city of Lilith, in the Underworld. The room was richly decorated, reflecting the typical ostentation of the homes of wealthy devils. In the armchairs arranged in the center, all Edzard's lovers were gathered, surrounding Ingvild.
Ingvild, sitting with her hands clasped in her lap, nervously played with her fingers. She was anxious because today would be her official debut before the Underworld, the day when the entire population would know of her existence.
This event had been organized by the current Four Maous, who would also use the ceremony to inform about the situation of the war with the daedras. Although the nobles and influential devils had already been informed during the young devils' meeting, the citizens still knew little about the daedras, as they had not yet attacked the Underworld. The rulers knew that this would change soon, so they decided to formally communicate it on this occasion. Additionally, they hoped that Ingvild's participation in missions and events related to the daedras would help strengthen her image among the population.
"Relax, In. Everything will be fine." said Asia in a calm tone, taking her friend's hands to give her courage and try to calm her.
"Asia is right, you've practiced a lot for this moment." commented Aika with a smile, looking at her seated friend.
"That's true. You've rehearsed your speech for today, you just need to breathe and calm down." added Rossweisse in a kind tone as she looked at her student and friend.
The words of the three girls were supported by the rest, who nodded in agreement.
Hearing her friends, Ingvild smiled, and her eyes reflected great gratitude. "Thank you, girls. The truth is your words are helping me calm down."
"You better, or I'll have to give you a good beating to calm you down." said Mittelt with a smile, placing her hands on her hips.
The Fallen's words made Asia and the rest sigh, shaking their heads at Mittelt's unorthodox attempt to console her friend.
"Heh, heh, heh." Ingvild's light laughter sounded at her friend's joke. Looking at everyone, she let out a sigh, dispelling almost all her fears and doubts.
The main concerns in the young half-devil's heart were simple: the fear that her presence would cause conflict among the devils, threatening the peace achieved after the civil war. However, her friends were supporting her, and they were right: she had prepared a lot to not ruin anything. So, after sighing, she looked at the clock, which showed eight o'clock in the evening.
"The ceremony must have already started." Ingvild thought as she felt her hands tense up again. "Soon, the devil society and all those who didn't know about the daedras will start hearing the news… and then it will be my turn, so the Underworld will finally know that a descendant of the ancient maous is now on their side."
"Relax." was the word that brought Ingvild out of her thoughts. Asia had taken her hands again and was looking at her warmly. "Everything will be fine."
That phrase, accompanied by Asia's kind smile, which she always used to comfort them, greatly encouraged Ingvild.
"You're right, everything will be fine." Ingvild responded, nodding, as she waited for them to come and take her to the main hall.
The atmosphere in a hidden room within the palace was completely dense, so much so that any ordinary person would feel suffocated there. This atmosphere emanated from the presence of two figures: Edzard and Ajuka.
Both leaders of the Kuoh pact were sitting face to face, seeing each other. The room was nothing like the others in the palace. There were no decorated tables, bookshelves, or gold chandeliers on the ceiling; just a table and some lights that barely illuminated the place.
"Thank you for coming, Edzard-kun." Ajuka greeted cautiously, seeing how Edzard's body language revealed that he was not happy to see him. This confirmed to Ajuka that Tiamat had told Edzard what had happened with Cleria Belial.
The current Beelzebub was surprised when his part-time secretary informed him that Edzard was seeking information about a particular devil. Upon hearing this, he asked Tiamat who it was, as it was not common for Edzard to request information in that manner. Normally, he handled his affairs privately. Knowing the name of the devil in question, Ajuka knew this would cause tensions.
"We can dispense with the protocols, Beelzebub." Edzard said coldly, which made Ajuka frown and then sigh.
"I suppose Tiamat told you what happened with Cleria, right?"
"Really? Was it that obvious? My body language showing that I don't want to be here? Or my tone of voice?" Edzard asked sarcastically, tilting his head.
"Everything." Ajuka replied calmly, looking at the young man in front of him. "I understand that you're upset, but you also know everything behind what happened, right?"
At Ajuka's question, Edzard looked at him intensely. He was angry, yes, upset by the way the devils handled the Cleria matter, and by the pain it had caused his mother-in-law. Even so, he knew that this issue was beyond the control of the current Maous.
"Yes, I understand what happened… I understand that, although you are Maous, you don't have all the political power and have to deal with the Great King's faction." Edzard quickly responded, aware of those limitations.
Hearing this, Ajuka sighed, relieved that Edzard understood. However, he did not expect the words that followed.
"Although, I also understand that you are idiots in several aspects. I don't want to pat myself on the back, because I also make mistakes and sometimes let my sentimentality guide me. But so far, I haven't done anything that causes a disaster like the one your secret pieces have generated."
Ajuka was momentarily surprised by Edzard's words, then smiled ironically.
"Heh, heh, heh… It's true, we've had problems that we couldn't resolve in the best way… but no one is perfect, especially us, the super devils." Ajuka said with some melancholy. Like Sirzechs, he felt that certain events could have been handled differently to avoid what ultimately happened or the repercussions that could still arise.
Hearing Ajuka, Edzard just sighed. He knew that better than anyone because, despite what many believed, he was not perfect either… he was not invincible, or the idealized being that many imagined. Even so, he was not going to say it out loud, at least not in front of Ajuka, whom he considered one of the responsible parties for Cleria's death for not knowing how to keep his "toys" private.
"Fine, let's put the Cleria matter aside. I want to hear your plan to recover those pieces from the Great King's faction. So, what have you thought with that prodigious mind of yours?" Edzard asked calmly, staying alert to catch any information that would reveal who had been involved in Cleria's death.
"The quickest way is to extract them from their current users, but in the most discreet way possible to prevent the existence of those pieces from becoming public." Ajuka responded serenely, ignoring Edzard's slight hint by saying "prodigious."
"Hmmm… A sensible thought, but that doesn't tell me much." Edzard commented thoughtfully, bringing his hand to his chin.
"Of course, since I don't know your methods, I don't know what techniques you would use. That's why I leave everything at your disposal. I just ask that you avoid causing a disaster that's difficult to clean up."
Ajuka's words denoted his confidence in Edzard. Although the current Beelzebub knew that Edzard was a wildcard, his recent disillusionment with devils made him volatile. However, Edzard was discreet and, to some extent, reliable, especially when his interests were aligned.
"Hmmm… So, everything is at my disposal… Fine, I will accept helping you with this little plan, but I need you to give me all the information about those who have those pieces." Edzard responded calmly.
Hearing Edzard's request, Ajuka began to think about the hidden motives behind his interest but found none that worried him. What Edzard was asking for was reasonable, considering the delicate nature of the mission. The importance of discretion in this operation lay in the fact that if the existence of the King's Pieces was revealed, devil society would be shaken. After all, those who had these pieces were prominent figures in the Rating Games, an industry that moved millions and granted great influence on its participants.
"Alright, what you're asking is reasonable. I will send you all the information through Tiamat." Ajuka responded calmly, standing up from his seat.
"Fine, I suppose it's time for you to go to the great hall." Edzard commented calmly as he watched Ajuka stand up and head towards the exit.
"That's right, Sirzechs is about to give the speech about the daedras so that it becomes general knowledge. I need to be present." Ajuka responded, stopping in front of the door. Slowly turning his head, Ajuka looked at Edzard, seeing his body language. "I suppose you'll leave in a while, right?"
"Yes, I'll leave shortly, don't worry. I'll do it in a way that no one knows I've been here." Edzard responded with a smile on his face, satisfied to have gotten what he came for.
"Good, I suppose I'll see you in a few minutes in the great hall."
After those words, Ajuka left the room, leaving Edzard alone. When the door closed, the smile on Edzard's face turned darker, almost bloodthirsty, to the point that anyone who saw it would not recognize the usual young man. Slowly, he brought a hand to his face as his body began to tremble in spasms… but they were not spasms of pain, but the result of holding back laughter.
"Heh, heh… ha, ha, ha! Good, I like this…" Edzard thought with euphoria, for what Ajuka did not know was that by giving him carte blanche, he had granted him total freedom to do whatever he wanted with those involved in the matter of the King's Pieces.
Rising from his seat, Edzard began to walk towards the door, devising a plan as he advanced.
"Ajuka asked me not to make a scandal, and I won't, but… one never knows what a Daedric champion can do, or… what a dragon priest can do." Edzard thought as he cast the «Invisibility» spell to leave as stealthily as possible. After all, it was not necessary for anyone to know that the death sentence of several devils had been signed down there.
The great hall of the Four Maous' palace was packed with people, from nobles to journalists, all gathered with a common goal: to see the two major announcements that the current Lucifer was about to make at this ceremony. Normally, topics of this caliber would have already been leaked, even in small details; however, this time there were no rumors or preliminary information. All that was known was that the event date had been postponed because the Great King's Faction had decided to make it more luxurious for some unknown reason.
Sirzechs' eyes scanned all those present who had gathered. He saw his colleagues from the Kuoh pact, along with some of their companions, including the aces of the three biblical factions. Among them were prominent figures: Dulio Gesualdo, the most powerful exorcist and holder of the «Zenith Tempest», and Tobio Ikuse, one of the best warriors of the Grigori, holder of the «Canis Lykaon».
"To think we would have so much firepower gathered at this moment." Sirzechs thought, impressed by what he saw. His eyes stopped on the aces of the biblical factions, who were with their leaders and other companions. Besides them, representatives of the Olympians were also present, having recently signed their adherence to the pact.
'The matter with Hades has been handled very well.' Sirzechs thought, recalling how the Greek god had been sealed using the combined powers of other Greek gods. 'It's a shame what happened; it would have been useful to have Hades on our side for the battles to come.'
Sirzechs' expression turned melancholic as he reflected on this. That melancholy did not stem from sadness at seeing Hades sealed, but from the loss of a powerful potential ally. Even so, he knew it was better to eliminate internal threats before they could cause problems.
Overcoming that thought, the leader of the Underworld turned his gaze to the front, now seeing the VIP guests and journalists. He directed his eyes to the balconies, where the members of the pillars, including his family, and Edzard's group along with his own family were seated. He also saw the journalists, making sure they were ready before stepping forward.
That simple movement was enough to capture everyone's attention. When he was sure he had everyone's attention, he took a quick glance back to see the representatives of the pact, all present except one, who would arrive later. Nodding to his friends, he turned his gaze to the front again.
"Good evening, everyone. It is a pleasure to see that you have been able to attend this historic day for our society." Sirzechs began, using a moderate tone of voice, clear enough to be heard by all. "Perhaps many of those present, and those watching from their homes, are wondering why I say today is a historic day for our society. The reason is that today three announcements will be made that could transform our society as profoundly as the Civil War did."
As he continued, his words generated murmurs among the journalists and attendees, even among those watching from their homes. The confusion extended to the nobles of the Great King's Faction, who thought that only two announcements would be made at the event: first, the public revelation of the existence of the daedras; second, the presentation of Ingvild Leviathan in the Underworld. The mention of a third announcement, unknown to them, caused the members of the Great King's Faction to start murmuring among themselves. However, due to the distance, neither Sirzechs nor the others could hear what they were saying.
The Four Maous felt relieved to see that the third announcement had not been leaked like Ingvild's had. Ensuring that the information remained confidential, they all relaxed.
"I know my words have generated confusion and, undoubtedly, expectation. After all, the Civil War almost completely changed our society, giving rise to the 'Rating Games.' something that those born after its implementation can hardly imagine not existing. However, what I am about to reveal will change our society, and not in a way like the Rating Games, but more akin to the Civil War."
Sirzechs' words began to sink into the minds of those unaware of the existence of the daedras, sowing growing fear. "This is something that not many know. Perhaps some have wondered why the young devils' celebration was held so privately, something that hasn't happened in years. That decision was made because we were dealing with a delicate matter for which we did not yet have enough clues or information to unveil publicly. As many know, the peace achieved with the treaty between the three factions is constantly in danger due to the Khaos Brigade… however, I fear they are not the only enemies we face. A few months ago, during a quiet night, Earth, the human world, suffered an attack by never-before-seen beings. Beings that razed a village in a matter of minutes, leaving a trail of corpses and destruction in their wake. That was the day the Daedric Invasions into our world began."
After saying those words, Sirzechs fell silent; at least for the moment, as he knew that what he had just said would cause many devils to panic. Besides, it was not necessary for him to continue speaking, as he had fulfilled his part in this speech, and now it was his friend Ajuka's turn. So, stepping back, he let the other super devil in the room take the floor.
Ajuka stepped forward, and the reporters who were still standing there in shock quickly reacted and directed their cameras towards him.
"I know that what has been said has caused many to be in shock; some may even be in a state of denial." Ajuka spoke, using his calm voice to convey confidence to his listeners. "I can also understand that many, now that they have probably come out of that initial shock, are angry for being kept in the dark. But it is important to understand that it was not easy to talk about this before, as we lacked corroborated information that would allow us to address this matter with the necessary foundations."
Ajuka's words, though calm and somewhat technical, managed to give a scientific touch to the revelation, reinforcing the credibility of the message.
"Fortunately, that has changed. It has taken time, but we now have enough information about these beings. We know their name, their intentions, and how they plan to achieve them." Ajuka continued, taking a step back and conjuring a screen. Dividing his attention between the cameras and the screen, he began to explain the data obtained. "The beings invading us are called Daedras and, as mentioned before, they come from another world. This world, Aurbis, is divided into three general planes: Nirn, the plane of mortal races; Aetherius, the plane of immortals; and Oblivion, the plane of the Daedras. We do not know their biology in depth, but we know they can be injured with any weapon, from normal human weapons to divine weapons."
With each word Ajuka spoke, he showed images and data on the screen, detailing everything they knew about the Daedras without explicitly mentioning their main characteristic, using instead a half-truth.
"To conclude, I fear that although they can be injured by our weapons and spells, eliminating them permanently is not so simple. However, although this sounds discouraging, you must trust that we are using all our resources to find a way to stop their invasions into our world." With these words, Ajuka signaled to the cameras and handed the turn back to his friend.
Seeing that Ajuka had given him the floor, Sirzechs stepped forward. Looking at the cameras again, he knew exactly what he needed to say.
"Now that you have heard Ajuka's explanation, many of you may be wondering, how is it possible that there have been invasions, and we haven't noticed? The answer is simple… for now, those invasions have not reached the Underworld; they have taken place on Earth. Some might think that if they don't reach here, it's not so serious. But I'm afraid they are wrong. The reason the invasions have not reached our doors is that two Daedric princes who were invading have been fighting each other, using the human world as a battlefield. Unfortunately, it seems that is about to change, and soon the Daedras will begin to attack us all: devils, angels, fallen angels, Nordics, humans… I fear that everything we know is in danger of being destroyed."
Sirzechs narrated with a grave voice, giving his words an emotional tone. "However, although the outlook seems bleak, we have something in our favor. The pact signed in the city of Kuoh was not only to bring peace between the factions but to form a united front to stop the invasions. So far, we have had a group formed by one of the signatories of the pact and a close representative of various factions. They, like many nobles and important people, are gathered here. But I want to emphasize one person."
Sirzechs' words confused the audience, especially those who were not aware of the Daedras and Edzard's group. Everyone began to wonder who the members of that group were, but above all, who represented the devils in that group. They also wondered what the power level of these individuals would be, understanding that they must be strong, but without imagining how much.
"This individual has represented us in that group and is the reason why this announcement was postponed. Before even thinking about who it is, I want to tell everyone who does not know her and will see her for the first time, not to judge her by the name or surname she carries. Value her as an individual; do not let mistakes or atrocities she did not commit cloud your judgment of her." Sirzechs requested firmly, looking ahead. His words did not look to generate sympathy for Ingvild, as she had to earn that herself, but to prevent prejudices from clouding the feeling of those who would hear about her.
After those words, Sirzechs looked to the side, and at that moment, a portal opened, created by Edzard's Shadowkey. That was so striking that all the cameras stopped focusing on him and turned towards the portal.
The tension in the atmosphere increased at once; everyone, from journalists to the present devils, eagerly waited to see the girl's appearance. This was because, although the Great King's Faction had managed to discover her identity, since there were no photos of her and she did not live in the Underworld, they could not find out her appearance.
Slowly, a shadow began to appear from the portal. It was not the figure of one person, but two, one holding the arm of the other. When both fully appeared, the portal closed behind them, allowing everyone in the room to see them clearly.
The eyes of those present widened in amazement at the sight of the two people. They were Ingvild and Edzard, who advanced with firm steps towards the center of the room. Most of the gazes fixed on Ingvild, who wore an elaborate hairstyle with a high braid adorned with precious gems. She wore a beautiful light blue satin dress, elegant but simple, something Ingvild appreciated, as she did not want to draw too much attention. The few adornments on the dress were on the bodice, where she wore the symbol of the Leviathan clan embroidered in gold thread and surrounded by floral motifs in silver threads. The sleeves were long and fitted, gently hugging her arms, and the skirt fell like a cascade, creating subtle and fluid movements. All of this enhanced her natural beauty, and although Ingvild could not see it, she walked with a smile, feeling more confident with her beloved by her side.
Edzard, in turn, walked calmly, with a serene look and an expressionless face, though not entirely rigid. His steps were calculated not to get ahead of his lover, as he knew this moment was her. He was dressed in a formal outfit consisting of a black military uniform with red details on the jacket sleeves. The pants, slightly fitted, were also black, and Edzard wore a pair of leather boots with X-shaped straps. A black wool cape fell over his left shoulder, held by a gold chain with a shield-shaped brooch displaying the Cumberland heraldry. He had chosen this attire with a clear intention: to present himself as a military figure.
The reason Edzard opted to project a military image was simple: to give Ingvild a shadow of power as support. He knew the power games, and although devil society was more egalitarian than many, he had seen in Nirn, the reality was that nobles still behaved similarly to those in his world. For many, women were seen as less strong in military terms, and it was expected that a military figure would go with a noblewoman in such duties. Therefore, he decided to provide his beloved with that support, not to rule over her, but to prevent anyone from trying something reckless.
"The people we have before us are two important figures! The first, the beautiful young woman advancing, is the representative of the devils in the vanguard group that has fought against the Daedras. She is someone you do not know, someone who does not participate in the Rating Games, but who, at her age, already owns power comparable to that of ultimate-class devils." shouted Sirzechs, seeing how the two young people approached him. He knew what he had to do now; his earlier words had put everyone on the edge of their seats, and it was time to drop the second bomb. "The name of this young devil, who has fought the Daedras in numerous battles, is Ingvild… Ingvild Leviathan, the last descendant of one of the original Maous!"
Sirzechs' shout brought a sudden silence to the room, followed by gasps of surprise among those present. The journalists looked wide-eyed, almost dropping their equipment to the floor.
The entire room was in shock; no one understood how it was possible that a descendant of the original Maous was there among them. Many did not know how to react to this revelation; however, a few seconds later, some applause began to be heard.
The sound did not come from the leaders of the pact factions, but from the young devils who had fought alongside Ingvild and knew what she was really like. This act surprised the older devils, astonished that the younger generation could accept a descendant of the original Maous. Nevertheless, before they could decide whether to follow the example of the young ones, Sirzechs' words resonated in their minds. Gradually, the attendees began to applaud, giving the young woman a warm welcome.
As the hall filled with applause for Ingvild, a small group remained silent, not because they didn't want to join the celebration, but because they were closely observing how she was received by her peers.
"It seems she has been accepted easily, Lord Zekram." whispered a youthful-looking devil to the founder of House Bael.
The founder of the Bael clan had the appearance of a middle-aged man, with black hair and violet eyes. He wore noble attire and kept a serene expression. Zekram was sitting calmly, with one leg crossed, watching as Ingvild approached the podium with her companion, someone interesting in the eyes of the old devil. He knew, like the other nobles, the identity of the young man and understood that he had enough power to be someone not to be underestimated.
"Hmm… it seems that young man and the young Leviathan are closer than they appear." commented the current Lord Bael with annoyance, who wore noble clothes and bore a certain resemblance to his son Sairaorg, although his expression was less friendly.
"Yes, it was to be expected. He was the one who found her and with whom she had been living. It's normal that they have developed a bond. In fact, which favors us." Zekram responded calmly while watching the couple reach the podium and slightly separate, with Ingvild standing a step ahead of Edzard. "The Leviathan clan is practically extinct, and only this girl remains. Although it is a shame to lose one of the most prestigious clans, we cannot allow one of the clans of the original Maous to regain too much power, as it would further divide the power in our society."
The words of the founder of the Bael clan underscored the fact that the lineage of one of the original Maous' clans had been reduced to a half-devil, someone whose descendants would never be pureblood but mixed, something the Great King's faction could not fully accept.
"That's true, but even so, she retains the prestige of her family. Maybe we could-"
"Marry her to your second son?" Zekram interrupted skeptically upon hearing his descendant's suggestion. "I don't think so. That would be a mistake. The girl has no real attachment to our society nor much influence. Yes, the surname is good, but her lineage is already 'tainted.' I can respect her for being a descendant of Leviathan-sama, but nothing more. She doesn't really possess anything, and if she marries one of ours, she will gain too much power and political influence."
Zekram's words caused murmurs among those with him, who commented that he was right. They, the Great King's faction, valued aristocratic traditions and the purity of devil blood, so including someone with human blood in their veins, even if they were a descendant of a Maou, would go against their principles.
The conversation made them miss part of Ingvild's speech, in which she reaffirmed her loyalty and commitment to devil society. They also missed much of her references to the Daedra and the battles since the first invasion, narrated from the perspective of someone who had fought in them. However, they returned their attention upon feeling a powerful killing intent directed towards them.
Quickly, they looked ahead, almost ready to conjure defensive magic circles, believing an attack was imminent. However, upon closer observation, they realized that no one was attacking them.
"That was strange…" whispered Lord Bael while looking around, with his senses on high alert.
"Yes, it was… but it seems it was just an illusion." said a noble close to the Bael Clan.
"It seems so." murmured Zekram as he sat back down, watching Ingvild take her place next to Edzard while Sirzechs returned to the front to speak. "It seems Gremory is about to continue. I suppose he will make that third announcement we haven't known about."
"It seems so… what will he announce?" asked Lord Bael while watching the current Lucifer prepare to speak.
"I don't know, and that's what worries me." admitted Zekram with annoyance. The old devil was many things: a politician and someone who liked power, but he was also wise enough to recognize people with exceptional abilities. However, he was also ruthless in eliminating those who threatened his power, something he had demonstrated by eliminating Cleria Belial without hesitation, a member of a clan belonging to his faction. His mind was focused on discovering, or at least trying to understand, what Sirzechs would announce, knowing it would be something important, significant enough to keep it secret.
"Now that you have learned the identity of the young woman who represented us in the vanguard group, it is time to announce the last major announcement." said Sirzechs, with a smile on his face that showed joy, something that puzzled many, as they did not expect that expression after the first announcement. This caused everyone to be expectant again. "But before I tell you, I must mention that this would not have been possible without the help of Edzard-kun. He was the one who found her and, thanks to his help, along with that of two of his lovers, we have managed to stabilize her."
Sirzechs' words made Zekram raise an eyebrow with curiosity. The old devil did not expect something like this, but now everything began to make a little more sense. The reason he had not been able to obtain information about this third announcement had been the young man's intervention.
"It seems you are more dangerous and subtle than I thought." Zekram reflected while looking at Edzard with narrowed eyes. The old man did not know it, but something inside him told him that this young man was dangerous, more so than any other individual under his watch. "After this announcement, I will have to keep him under closer surveillance… maybe the best thing will be to get closer to the young Leviathan. Yes, that's the best… if I manage to gain her trust, I might get some information about that young man."
As the founder of the Bael clan began to formulate a plan to obtain more information about Edzard, his thoughts were interrupted when Sirzechs dropped an unexpected piece of news.
"Compatriots, I am pleased to announce that our Queen, the wife of the First Lucifer, has been found and is currently recovering at the Serafall Memorial Hospital!" Sirzechs' shout caused widespread astonishment, especially in the Great King's faction, and Zekram was the most visibly affected.
The old devil's eyes opened wide, surprised by what he had just heard. Slowly, he began to rise from his seat. Zekram's body trembled, not with fear, but with anger, an anger that would not easily be calmed. The reason was simple: he felt that these "brats" had gravely insulted him by hiding such significant information from him, the de facto leader of the Underworld since the fall of the original Maous.
"Zekram-sama?" asked the current Lord Bael, fearful, as he looked in astonishment at the murderous eyes of his ancestor, who was staring intently at Sirzechs and the other devils.
"Those brats… how dare they do this to me?" Zekram murmured furiously as he clenched his fists.
Even so, despite his anger, he did not cause any visible scandal, as his mind began to scheme how to make those brats suffer. The anger he felt was not only because they had dared to bypass him on such a delicate matter as Lilith, but also because he knew this would take away much influence from him, his family, and his faction.
'I need to speak with Lilith-sama as soon as possible. I can't let those brats convince her to side with them; otherwise, everything I've built will crumble like a house of cards in the wind.' Zekram thought, reflecting on how to approach her. 'I will set aside the young Leviathan for now and focus solely on winning over Lilith-sama; otherwise, the status quo of the devils will be shaken.'
While he pondered how to approach Lilith, he did not notice that several eyes were on him and his faction at that moment.
"It looks like the old man has swallowed a bitter lemon." commented Mittelt, with a grin from ear to ear as she saw the poorly concealed anger on Zekram Bael's face.
"Of course he's angry; this changes the power dynamics in the Underworld… at least for the devils." added Rossweisse, looking worriedly at the rest of the Great King's faction. "I'm concerned about what this might cause."
Rossweisse's words were followed by several nods, as they all thought the same.
"That's true; this can be good or bad, and it all depends on when Lilith wakes up." said Valerie in a low voice while holding a hand over one of her eyes, using one of her bats to spy more closely on the devils of the Great King's faction. "And yes, they are angry, especially the progenitor of the Bael."
"How much?" asked Asia, looking at her friend with expectant eyes.
"A lot. But I must give him credit, he's hiding it well."
"Pff… what did you expect from that old man? We're talking about the de facto leader of underworld, at least until Lilith returns." commented Mittelt sarcastically, without taking her eyes off the Great King's faction.
"It seems you have a grudge against him. Can I ask why?" asked Lint, curious, as it was not normal to see Mittelt show such aversion towards someone.
"None in particular, but there's something about him that gives me a bad feeling."
"Mittelt, a lot of people you know don't sit well with you and give you a bad feeling." commented Aika, smiling amusedly at seeing her friend so irritated. "Or don't you remember how you treated Karna every time you saw him until recently?"
Hearing her friend's words, Mittelt blushed with embarrassment and abruptly looked away.
"Umm… I had every right to distrust Karna. We were talking about a former member of the Khaos Brigade, not some random guy Ed met on the street."
Mittelt's response was followed by giggles from the other girls, who found it amusing to remember how their friend used to bother Karna until recently. Although they still had their reservations about him, they knew that Ed wouldn't trust someone so easily, not after what happened at the Snow Veil Sanctum.
The girls had been horrified when they learned how Edzard had been betrayed by someone he considered his mentor at the time, and many of them swore that if that wretch weren't already dead, they would kill him themselves. Even so, they were surprised when Edzard decided to tell them the story. It was just an ordinary day; he asked them to go to the stream, and that's where Ingvild asked him about the scar near his heart. At first, they expected him to refuse to talk, but for some reason, he decided to tell them how he got it.
"I'm still surprised by what Ed has had to live through." commented Lint with some sadness while looking at her feet. "I don't think I have the strength to move on as if nothing happened after such a betrayal."
"Yes, me neither… being stabbed and abandoned by someone you considered a master… that's not something one fully recovers from." added Rossweisse while watching Edzard next to Sirzechs, as Serafall explained the state in which Lilith had been found and her progress since then.
"Do you think the Bael will do something stupid?" asked Lint, with curiosity in her voice, trying to steer the conversation towards a more immediate topic.
"I don't think so… at least, the founder of the clan won't." responded Valerie quickly, keeping her bat seeing the devils.
"Really? Why do you think that?" asked Aika.
"It's easy… one doesn't reach such political power without knowing which steps to take and which to avoid." responded Asia, looking at the Great King's faction with narrowed eyes. "I don't know much about politics, but those power struggles between internal factions have not only main actors but also bait or decoys… Zekram may not act, but that doesn't mean they won't use someone to divert attention from what they plan."
Asia's words worried her friends, as they noticed a hint of venom and anger in her tone. The reason was simple: they knew that Zekram had ordered the death of Cleria Belial, Zephyra's best friend.
The girls watched with concern as Asia's eyes flickered, alternating between their normal green color and the red that usually appeared when her emotions intensified.
"Asia, please… calm down…" Valerie asked with concern.
"Val is right, Asia-chi." added Aika, approaching her friend and hugging her from behind. "It's not good for you to be like this… you must leave it to Ed. He will make sure that bastard pays for what he did."
Aika's words did their job, calming Asia down, who stopped looking straight ahead. Letting out a sigh, she was about to thank her friend, but stopped abruptly when she felt Aika's hands go to her breasts and begin to knead them.
"Ara, ara~… it seems like your breasts have grown a bit, Asia-chi~." Aika whispered into Asia's ear while gently massaging her breasts.
"A-Aika, s-stop…~." Asia whispered between moans, feeling her friend begin to slide her hand down the bodice of her dress. However, before Lavinia's apprentice managed to directly touch Asia's breasts, she stopped abruptly.
¡Pummm!
"Owie!" was the little cry Aika let out after a sharp blow forced her to let go of her friend.
Feeling liberated, Asia quickly turned around and saw that the one who had hit Aika was Rossweisse, who had a deep blush on her face and one hand outstretched.
"Why did you hit me, Rossweisse-sensei?" Aika asked, bringing a hand to her head to rub where Rossweisse had hit her.
"Why? That's simple: I can't let you do something so embarrassing here." Rossweisse growled, annoyed, as she glared at her student.
"I was just playing, it's nothing special." Aika replied as she rubbed her head.
"It may be a game, but there are places to play, and this isn't one."
Rossweisse's words made Aika blink for a second, then crack a smile as she approached her. Surrounding her, she began to whisper softly.
"I see… you're jealous~." Aika said with a fixed smile on her face. "Relax, your turn will come to know how it feels… for now you'll have to wait, today is In's night~."
After saying this, Aika slapped Rossweisse on the butt, causing her to blush and cover her mouth to avoid letting out a little scream that could make her the center of attention.
After that, Aika quickly moved away from Rossweisse, as when she stopped covering her mouth, she began to chase her. While Aika escaped from Rossweisse, she smiled, finding what she had done amusing.
Meanwhile, Asia watched the scene with a smile and clasped her hands. In the end, she knew that her husband would take care of the Cleria matter, so she only had to fulfill the request he had given her before the ceremony began. So, for now, she would keep an eye on the members of the Great King's faction, closely seeing everything they did so that Edzard would know if they were planning anything.
The night was at its peak, having already passed midnight. In the city's neighborhoods, civilians had gathered, discussing the two revelations that had occurred that night. Everyone assumed the announcement would be important, but they did not expect it to be so momentous. The news about the Daedras had spread like wildfire, becoming the main topic of conversation among those with a martial mindset. Surprisingly, many citizens, especially the younger ones, were somewhat excited about the invasions, as it implied an opportunity for many to seek glory in battle.
Another of the most talked-about topics was the return of someone who should belong to the faction of the ancient Maous, as no one expected a descendant of the ancient Maou Leviathan to be on the side of the new Maous. That had been an unexpected blow, but the words of the current Lucifer and the girl herself convinced most citizens that she was really not like her peers. Finally, the news that Lilith had been found alive and was being treated for her imminent awakening generated two reactions: on the one hand, caution and concern, as no one knew how it would affect the power dynamics; and on the other, joy and euphoria, as one of the principal leaders of the devils had returned.
While the citizens were immersed in their conversations about what was revealed at Sirzechs' ceremony, in a room of the palace, a very nervous Ingvild divided her gaze between the television in the room and the bathroom door. She felt uneasy about being alone with Edzard that night. Although she had shared a bed with him before, on those occasions the rest of the girls had also been present. This time, however, would be different. Although it had not been long since they began their relationship, she already wanted to be more physical with him, an impulse encouraged by her friends, who already had experience in that area. Therefore, they decided to return to the palace, leaving the two of them alone.
'Come on, calm down, Ingvild… it's nothing special… you're just going to have your first time with the man you fell in love with… so there's no reason to worry… Who am I kidding?! I'm nervous!' thought Ingvild, who was sitting on the bed, dressed only in a somewhat revealing nightgown, a gift from Aika. She had taken a shower first, so Edzard didn't know she was dressed like that yet; it would be a surprise.
The young woman's nerves increased when she heard the shower turning off and the sigh that Edzard let out. That told Ingvild that he was already finished and that the moment was near. Hearing the bathroom door slowly open, she looked in that direction and saw her boyfriend coming out, dressed only in a towel, which left his body exposed. Despite having seen his scars on several occasions, it never ceased to intimidate her that someone his age had so many marks on his skin.
"You haven't gone to sleep yet?" Edzard asked, surprised to see Ingvild still awake, as he thought she would have fallen asleep, given how late it was. Plus, he knew she would have a busy day talking to some nobles, which was why she hadn't returned to «Brondovahnor», the kingdom Edzard had created. His daughters had liked the name, which meant «North Dragon Land», so that was the final choice.
"I-I wasn't sleepy." Ingvild replied somewhat shyly, still looking at Edzard.
Ingvild's answer confused Edzard, as he had seen her yawn several times before entering the room. So, looking at her more closely, he noticed the black straps of her bra, something that made him frown as he focused his vision better. Looking at her more closely, he realized that she was not wearing her usual nightwear but was most likely wearing a baby doll.
Realizing this, he understood why his other lovers had suggested that he stay to support Ingvild with the meetings the next day.
'I can't believe they tricked me so well without me realizing it... I guess it's because I really let my guard down when I'm with them.' Edzard thought, shaking his head as he reflected on the cunning of his lovers. Still, he looked back at Ingvild, watching her shift with some discomfort.
"Ingvild, I know what you're thinking… and let me tell you something… you shouldn't force yourself to take this step if you don't feel ready yet." Edzard said in a gentle voice as he approached his girlfriend with slow steps.
Edzard's words seemed to make Ingvild feel even more uncomfortable than she already was.
"Did you realize?" the half-devil asked as she watched him approach.
"Yes, although it took me quite a while… if it weren't for the fact that I saw you wearing these clothes, I wouldn't have noticed." Edzard replied with an awkward smile.
"Heh heh…" Ingvild laughed softly, finding his response amusing. "Yeah, Asia did mention that… she said you're really slow when it comes to romance."
Hearing those words, Edzard also smiled, as if it was true. So, walking further, he ended up sitting next to Ingvild. As he did so, he saw the outfit she was wearing. The Baby Doll she was wearing was made of a translucent violet tulle, a color that also predominated from the lace underwear she had on underneath those clothes.
Gulp!
Edzard swallowed a little saliva when he saw Ingvild's body in that state. He knew very well that she was not only beautiful, but also had a well-proportioned body, something that would excite any man who saw her… even him, someone who used to have good control over his emotions… or at least he had before met Issei…
'Damn it, Issei! You're infecting me with your pervertedness!' Edzard mentally screamed, feeling his blood begin to pump with much greater force. He stayed still like a statue, observing Ingvild in detail.
"Ed?" Ingvild asked in a worried voice as she watched her boyfriend stand still, but then blushed as she realized he was staring at her intently. Slowly, she felt her face heat up, beginning to cover her body with her hands.
'I knew this was too much…' Ingvild thought with shame as she looked away from her boyfriend, who kept staring at her the whole time.
"E-E-Ed… It's a little embarrassing that you look at me like that…" Ingvild whispered as she tried to look away. However, she felt a hand on her face, which prevented her from looking away.
"Why are you embarrassed that I look at you…?" Edzard asked, slowly bringing his face closer to Ingvild's.
"B-b-b-b-because…" Ingvild tried to answer as she felt her heartbeat faster as she watched her boyfriend get closer to her.
After that attempt to say something, their lips met and without a second's delay, they began to kiss. Slowly, their hands began to surround each other's necks, and when they succeeded, the kiss increased in intensity.
As they continued to kiss, Edzard pushed Ingvild down onto the bed, placing himself on top of her. Feeling the extra weight, Ingvild wrapped her legs around Edzard's waist, pulling him even closer to her.
They stayed in that position for a long time, kissing. When they separated, both had slightly glassy eyes, a sign that they were both falling into lust.
Seeing each other's eyes, Edzard approached and began to kiss Ingvild on the neck.
"Ed~" Ingvild moaned as she felt her boyfriend begin to kiss her on the neck, then lightly bite her earlobe. That made her move her hands and place them on Edzard's head, pulling his hair for a few moments.
Ingvild's action should have caused Edzard some discomfort, but he still did not stop. When he finally pulled away, he looked Ingvild's eyes.
"You are beautiful…" Edzard whispered and then captured Ingvild's lips again, except for the difference that this time, he was not only content with this, but moved his left hand and with it captured one of Ingvild's breasts.
Edzard felt those large masses move softly under his hand, drawing several moans from Ingvild, which were muffled by the kiss they were sharing. When they stopped kissing, Edzard was about to snatch the Bay Doll from Ingvild, but she pushed him away, causing him to fall onto the bed.
That action slightly surprised Edzard, confusing him, but that confusion vanished when he saw how Ingvild took off the Baby Doll and after throwing it aside, continued to take off her bra.
The garment covering Ingvild's breasts fell gracefully, allowing Edzard to gaze upon the almost complete glory of his naked girlfriend. The pink nipples crowning Ingvild's breasts were erect, showing that she was fully aroused.
The two lovers' eyes met for a second, after which Ingvild wasted no time and positioned herself on top of her boyfriend. Straddling him, she felt the bulge that had formed in Edzard's crotch, which made her smile.
"Looks like someone is excited…" Ingvild whispered happily as she looked into her boyfriend's eyes.
Hearing those words, Edzard was about to respond, but he couldn't do anything, as she began to move her hips, causing their crotches to rub against each other. That caused Ingvild to start moaning softly, while looking into Edzard's eyes, who didn't waste any time and began to knead both of Ingvild's breasts.
Slowly and steadily, she continued to move her hips and Edzard continued to play with her breasts and nipples.
The room began to fill with more and more moans. While Ingvild continued with her action, Edzard stood up and captured one of Ingvild's nipples in his mouth, beginning to suck on it. Although, from time to time, he also nibbled on it.
"Ahhh~ Ed~" Ingvild moaned as she felt her boyfriend suck on one of her nipples, then let out a cry when he gave her a soft bite. "Ed~!"
Ingvild's cry was accompanied by a spasm of her body, something that surprised Edzard, who knew what had happened. Therefore, he raised his face and looking into her eyes, he put an amused smile on his face.
"Don't tell me you had an orgasm just from this~? Wow, it seems like you're a pervert~" Edzard whispered into Ingvild's ears, causing her to blush quite a bit.
"N-n-no, I'm not a- Ahhh~!" The words she was about to say died in her throat when Edzard pinched her right nipple.
"No~, yes you are…" Edzard whispered after leaving Ingvild's nipple and then gently pushing her towards the bed. "And you know what's the best part?"
"W-w-what…" Ingvild whispered with some embarrassment as she looked into her lover's strange eyes.
"That you're my pervert…" Edzard whispered in a honeyed voice and then began to kiss Ingvild's sternum, going lower and lower with each kiss.
Edzard's kisses caused small spasms in Ingvild, who could only moan every time she felt him go lower. When she felt Edzard's warm breath over her panties, her eyes opened, but before she could even say or do anything, Edzard proceeded to move the fabric that prevented him from seeing her sex with his teeth.
After that, Edzard introduced his tongue inside Ingvild, proceeding to give it light licks, both inside and around Ingvild's pussy, causing her to start moving while moaning.
"E-E-Ed~ S-s-stop~" were the whispers that could be heard between Ingvild's moans. However, her lover ignored her, instead continuing to do such diligent work that Ingvild's vision slowly began to blur.
'N-no, I can't keep going like this… if we keep going like this, I'll fall unconscious…' Ingvild thought with some panic, which was minuscule compared to the pleasure she was feeling. The panic arose from the fact that they hadn't even gotten to the important part of what they were doing yet, and she already felt like she was going to faint.
Edzard, who was unaware of his lover's thoughts, continued doing his thing, finding himself happy that his girlfriend was enjoying this. However, he stopped when he felt her grab him by the hair.
"Ow, ow, ow… that hurts…" Edzard whispered as he felt Ingvild pulling his hair. Slowly, he looked up, meeting her eyes. When he looked at her, he realized that she wasn't fully conscious. "In?"
Edzard's question was laden with concern, so much so that it dispelled the lust he was feeling now.
"I-I don't want you to continue like this, Ed…" Ingvild said with some difficulty as she let go of her boyfriend's hair. Those words confused Edzard for a second, making him feel somewhat bad for what he had been doing. However, before he could feel even worse, she spoke again. "I want you to make me yours now…I don't want any more games…please…"
Ingvild's face had blushed quite a bit as she said that sentence, so much so that her breath came out like hot steam, something strange, since it wasn't that cold in the environment. Even so, that request made Edzard surprised, but when his brain finished processing all of this, he put on a smile. Slowly, that lust, which had been diminished when he thought that Ingvild was feeling uncomfortable with what he was doing, came back with more force. Crawling until he was right on top of her, he looked at her with loving, but predatory eyes at the same time.
"I see… and here I thought you didn't like what I was doing to you… now it turns out you were just desperate for me to take your virginity…" Edzard whispered with amusement in his voice as he took off his towel and the boxers he had underneath. Approaching her, he began to give her a few kisses on her mouth, then moved and placed each of his arms under Ingvild's knees. "Are you sure you want to continue?"
"Yes… I'm sure…" Ingvild whispered with a smile on her face.
Hearing those words, Edzard aligned his cock in front of Ingvild's pussy and in one movement, he entered her. A light hiss came from Ingvild's lips as she felt herself being deflowered, while a light line of blood began to run from her pussy, staining the sheets.
Edzard stood still, enjoying the tightness of his girlfriend's pussy. For her part, Ingvild was a little uncomfortable, not because she didn't feel pleasure, but because it felt strange to have something inside her. After a few seconds, the uncomfortable feeling stopped. Feeling that, she simply looked into her boyfriend's eyes and smiled, giving him the signal that he could move.
"Ahhh~" was the moan that left Ingvild and Edzard's lips as the latter began to move his hips.
Edzard's movements were slow and gentle, but they still caused Ingvild to feel electric currents running from her pussy to her brain. For his part, Edzard watched hypnotically as Ingvild's breasts swayed from side to side with each thrust.
"Ed~ Keep going~ Please, I don't want you to ever stop~" Ingvild moaned as she clutched the bed sheets tightly.
"Of course, dear." Edzard whispered with a smile on his face. "Your wish is my command~"
After that, Edzard increased the intensity of his thrusts, causing the room to fill with the sounds of flesh hitting, accompanied by Ingvild's moans.
Edzard was holding Ingvild's legs slightly raised so he could fuck her better, but suddenly he stopped.
"Ed?" Ingvild asked, her breathing somewhat short, as she was agitated by the exercise they were doing.
Edzard's response to his lover's words was to gently turn her over onto her side. Moving his hand, he lifted Ingvild's left leg and with one swift movement, thrust himself back into her.
"Ohhh~" was the moan that Ingvild let out as she felt her insides being invaded again.
"I feel more comfortable fucking you like this~" Edzard whispered as he began to move his hips again. "This feels, like, better, doesn't it? ~"
"Y-y-yeah~ T-t-this feels better~" Ingvild whispered in response before turning her head and kissing Edzard.
The two continued to kiss as Edzard continued to thrust in and out of Ingvild, eliciting more moans from her. After being in that position for a few more minutes, Edzard returned to the missionary position.
"Ahhh~! Ahhhh~!" Ingvild's moans began to increase in intensity and quantity, as she was close to reaching another orgasm.
"Are you about to cum again?" Edzard asked mischievously as he smiled and looked into his girlfriend's eyes. However, the answer he received was not a yes or a no, just more moans from his girlfriend. Seeing this, Edzard smiled amusedly and, increasing the speed of his thrusts even more, continued to penetrate his girlfriend.
Even though he had increased his speed, he still wasn't using much force, but even so, it was enough to make Ingvild put aside decency and crave more.
"Ed~ Faster, harder!" Ingvild screamed as she closed her legs around Edzard's waist. The young devil's face was red, and her eyes were glassy. Her hair was a sweaty tangle, and the sight only fueled Edzard's lust even more.
The son of Akatosh began to feel that he was losing control of his instincts upon hearing and, above all, seeing his lover in that state. Slowly, his eyes began to turn golden, being that moment when Edzard finally began to go all out.
"Ohhh~!" was the moan that Ingvild let out the moment Edzard changed the rhythm and the force with which he penetrated her. He stopped being a bit fast and gentle and started giving her stronger and faster thrusts, which would cause her to begin to feel that several electric currents were running through her body.
"Yes, like that~! Keep going like that, Ed~!" Ingvild shouted with a smile on her face as she felt great pleasure as she felt how her boyfriend was filling her. The pleasure was so much that she felt like she could die right then and there and not care.
Hearing that, Edzard began to smile in such a way that he looked more like a beast than a man. His eyes reflected nothing but the primal instinct to mate and impregnate his partner. The bed they were on moved as Edzard continued to fuck Ingvild. He kept doing that, until finally, he let out a grunt when he felt Ingvild's inner walls tighten around his cock.
"Ed~ I, I'm cumming! Haaaa~!" was the cry Ingvild let out as she reached another orgasm, hugging her boyfriend. That orgasm was so strong that she dug her nails into Edzard's back and made her inner walls tighten even more, which made Edzard reach orgasm as well.
"Aghh…" Edzard growled before biting into Ingvild's shoulder, sinking his fangs in as he filled the womb of the last member of the Leviathan clan with as much semen as he could now.
Ingvild's eyes widened the moment Edzard bit her. She, who had been on the verge of fainting after this round of sex with her boyfriend, felt new strength, but not only that... inside her, her emotions became more chaotic and sensitive. This meant that when Edzard separated from her shoulder, she took his lips in a deep kiss, in which she tasted her own blood.
When they separated, it was no longer just Edzard who had an almost animalistic look and smile, but Ingvild herself had a similar one, not as feral as Edzard's, but one that would make those who knew her doubt that she was herself.
Without wasting a single second, they kissed again and Edzard entered her again, beginning to copulate again. Deep inside, the rational part of them that was still left at this moment knew that this would last until dawn.
Artaeum - Nirn 5 E
The island of Artaeum, the third largest island in the Summerset Isles archipelago, housed the Ceporah Tower, the headquarters of the Psijic Order. The Psijic Order, the most powerful order of mages in all Nirn, where all its members had the potential to cause true destruction using only magic, was considered the first monastic order of Tamriel. Composed mostly of Altmer, its goal was to help and protect the world in times of change.
In the Ceporah Tower, a huge white structure several stories high, was the Council of Artaeum, the body that led the Psijic Order. In the personal study of the Ritemaster, an elderly Altmer meditated in deep concentration.
The Altmer, the current Ritemaster, used his powers to glimpse the future, or at least a part of it. This master, with more than three hundred years of life, had witnessed crucial events in the world, such as the Oblivion Crisis, the Ascension of the Thalmor, the establishment of the Mede as emperors, the First Great War, the Skyrim Civil War, the return of the Dragons, the reappearance of the Eye of Magnus, and the Second Great War. During all these events, the older had seen with special interest the heroes that appeared in Nirn. He had seen the Hero of Kvatch become Sheogorath, his descendant defeat Alduin and fight in the Second Great War… and, all that time, he always knew there was something strange about the young Edzard.
He did not know the reason, but to the Ritemaster, Edzard was an anomalous piece in the grand scheme of Nirn. Although he was not certain, he sensed that there was something odd about him. However, he stopped thinking about Edzard when he left the mortal world with his partner and daughter, something he considered a loss for his order, as he had planned to offer him a formal invitation. Since then, he had stopped paying attention to him, as there was no reason to watch someone who was beyond the limits of the mortal plane, and even the higher planes. However, that changed several months ago, when an unknown wave of power shook the foundations of all Aurbis, forcing the return of the Isle of Artaeum to the physical plane.
From the moment the order returned to the mortal world, the Ritemaster wasted no time and sent his best members to investigate, both in the library and in various places in Nirn. Unfortunately, they had not been able to find anything about the meaning of that pulse of power that was felt.
"Mmm… nothing… no matter how much I try to look into the future, I cannot glimpse what could have caused that terrifying wave of power." thought the elderly Altmer with concern. He recalled the essence of that power… something like that of the Daedras, but even more chaotic, dark, and malevolent; a power that could change the world, but not in the controlled way they sought, but in a radical and destructive manner.
The elder's eyes began to move, as he was about to interrupt his meditation. After so long without finding answers, it seemed useless to keep trying. However, before he closed his spell, one of the most terrifying visions he had ever seen manifested before him: he saw the world of Nirn in flames, mountains formed by the corpses of mortal races… and a battle that could only be described as apocalyptic.
When the vision ended, the elder fell to the ground clumsily, as he had been levitating moments before. His eyes, wide as plates, reflected the most primal terror.
"By our ancestors… what was that…?" he whispered in fear, looking at his trembling hands like leaves shaken by fierce winter winds. He also felt his clothes dampen with sweat as cold as the waters of the Sea of Ghosts, on the coast of Atmora. That cold helped him regain some calm, giving him the opportunity to stand up.
Slowly and with effort, he got up. Looking around, he searched for a sheet to write down in detail what he had just seen, as the mind is fragile and, in his current state, he was likely to forget what had happened.
He reached his desk, took a sheet, and quickly noted the important points of his vision. When he finished, he sighed, but before he could analyze what he had seen, he felt one of the order members using telekinesis to communicate directly with him.
"What is it, Nerien? Why do you interrupt me when I ordered not to be disturbed unless it was about the investigation of that pulse of power?"
"I apologize, my lord… but there is someone, someone who has come to see you."
Nerien's response, one of the most active members of the order while the island remained in another plane, puzzled the Ritemaster. He knew that Nerien was not one to disobey orders without a good reason, which led him to wonder who it was.
"Who is it?"
"It is your sister, my lord… the Nerevarine wishes to speak with you."
Author's Note:
To those who have made it this far, thank you for reading. To be honest, my English writing skills are not strong, and I'm relying on Google Translate and the dictionaries that come with Office 2019.
And here is chapter 81, already XD
Well, to the quick points, we see things are moving forward, we have Ingvild's event, along with her first time... we also see that Zekram is pissed off, well, it doesn't really matter what he plans to do, in the end he made the wrong person angry...
We also see that Edzard has something in mind, and I'll just say that there will be several future deaths. Finally, we return to Tamriel with the appearance of the Psijic, their leader being the brother of the Nerevarine. How do they get along? well, we will see that in the future XD.
I apologize for any spelling errors. Please don't forget to leave a review if you enjoyed the chapter, or if there's something that needs improvement, or if you have any questions about the story. Any constructive advice is welcome. With nothing more to say, see you in the next chapter.
