Chapter 4: The Fight: Overprotective Crew

Luffy turns to look at Zoro and says, "Zoro, go get them yourself, and don't get lost on the way."

"Ay, captain," Zoro said, running in the wrong direction.

"Mosshead, you're going the wrong way," Sanji shouted. "Huh, what did you say, ero cook?" Zoro turned to Sanji with his swords out. "Oh, forget it. Just go that way," Sanji pointed in the direction of the pirates.

After a few minutes, Zoro arrived where the fight was happening and cut a cannonball in half before it could hit Sunny. While Zoro cut the cannonball, the other Straw Hats arrived with Luffy in tow. "Go, Zoro, and kick some ass!" Luffy shouted, which earned the enemy pirates' attention. "Oi, Pirate King, I am here to take your head and become the next Pirate King," the captain of the nameless pirate crew shouted with a cocky smile on his face.

"But maybe if you beg me, then I might take you as my bitch." Those last words he said made all the Straw Hats that could use haki release a powerful blast of Conqueror's Haki that knocked all the enemy pirates except the captain. "What the fuck did you just say?" Zoro said with a murderous glint in his eyes.

"Let's feed him to the sea kings," Nami suggested. "But Nami-san, that would be too merciful for him," Robin said in a pitiful tone. "Oh, I have an idea. Why don't we give him to Luffy's family as a welcoming gift?" Sanji suggested with a cheerful tone. "Oh, that's a great idea, Cook-san," Robin said with the same cheerful tone as Sanji.

"For once, I agree with the ero cook," Zoro said. "Drag him to the cell." Zoro ordered, "Okay," Usopp said, grabbing the pirate by his foot and walked towards the cell they keep just in case something like this happens.

"Nami, what did he mean by making Luffy his bitch?" Chopper asks while tilting his head. When the crew heard Chopper's question, they froze, including Luffy, and the temperature in the air dropped. "Nothing that you need to know, Doctor-san," Robin said, looking at Chopper with a smile.

"Shishishi, you guys are funny," Luffy laughed. The air temperature returned to normal, and everyone forgot what had happened a few minutes ago. "Anyways, let's go shopping for the babies," Nami said, clasping her hands and turning toward the island.

After the crew arrived at a nearby town on the island, they began searching for baby stores. "For now, we only need a few things since we don't know the gender or how many you're having," Nami noted.

"How about we only buy toys, diapers, and other non-gendered objects that we will need?" Robin suggested. "We also need to build a nursery, and I want to build the cribs myself. So we need wood," Franky added. "We also need to buy Luffy new clothes since he will grow them real quick and for the different temperature changes in the New World," Usopp said. "We also need to buy medicine and vitamins for Luffy," Chopper said. "We also need to buy all types of food and a great amount since Luffy's family will come and Luffy's appetite will increase," Sanji noted.

"We also need to clean Sunny and put all dangerous things away in case he slips," Zoro said. Everyone nodded their heads. "Okay, then we will split into groups," Nami said.

"Jimbei and Brook, you two will buy baby supplies and non-gender-specific toys. I will give each of you 30 million berries," Nami ordered. "Okay, Nami-san," Jimbei and Brook agreed. "Franky and Usopp, you two will buy wood, and if you find Adam's wood, call me and I will give you more money. For now, I will give each of you 40 million berries," Nami said. "Okay," both of them replied.

"Chopper and Robin will buy medicine and vitamins. I will give you two 20 million berries," Nami explains. "Okay," both of them said. "Sanji and Zoro will buy food. I will give each of you one billion berries, and Sanji, make sure Zoro doesn't get lost," Nami demands. "Okay, Nami-swan," Sanji exclaimed with hearts in his eyes. "Witch," Zoro whispered.

"What did you say?" Nami turned to look at Zoro with her fist raised and a smile on her face. "Nothing," Zoro responded with a gulp.

"Anyways, Luffy and I will go and buy clothes. We will meet back here before sundown to go eat. Understand?" Nami declared. "Yes," everyone exclaimed and went to do what they were ordered to do.

Timeskip to nightfall

After everyone met back at the same place, they went to drop everything at Sunny's and then went to a bar to eat and drink.

They arrived at the bar and sat down. "Hello, what can I get you?" a bartender said while putting the menu down. "All your food and all your bottles of sake," Zoro ordered. "Okay, please wait for a moment, and your order will be ready," the bartender said. "Thank you," Nami thanked the bartender.

After their food and drinks arrived, they started eating. While they were eating, some bandits arrived and ordered some sake. "Very sorry, sir, but there are no more bottles of sake left," the bartender declared.

"Then what are they drinking?" the bandit leader pointed at the StrawHats. "We are sorry, but that's all of our sake," the bartender apologized.

"Oh, I am sorry that my crew left the bar dry. Luckily, we still have one bottle left. If you want, we can give it to you," Luffy offers. "Are you freaking kidding me? Why would I want to share with some lowly, weak pirates who do nothing but be on the sea all day?" The bandit leader scoffs. "But if you want to beg me to spare you all, then I might consider letting you all go," the bandit smirks.

Luffy stood up, grabbed a bottle, and went to thank the bandit for being a nice guy. "Really? Then here, have a bottle for not causing trouble for my crew and me." Luffy held the bottle out in the bandit's direction.

"Oh, thanks, but I'm afraid this won't be enough. How about you give me those two women as a gift? Then I'll forgive you and your crew." The bandit pointed to Robin and Nami as the other bandits started laughing.

At the end of the bandits' leader's words, the bar fell into deep silence. "WHAT DID YOU SAY?" Luffy spoke calmly and slowly, with Haki in every word. The bandit, not noticing the change in atmosphere and the silence that engulfed the bar, repeated it with a cocky smile.

"Oh, fuck he fucked up. He shouldn't have said that. Luffy is angry now," Usopp whispered, but everyone heard him due to the silence in the bar. "I will give you five seconds to apologize to my Nakama," Luffy said in a threatening manner. "And if I don't?" the bandit, the dead man taunted. "Five," Luffy started counting. "Huh, you don't scare me." "Four." "Don't even try. I am a man worth five million berries." "Three." "You didn't hear me." "Two." "That means I have a bounty of five million berries." "One." "Try it, you cocky pirate." "Zero." Luffy finished counting and punched the man in the face, sending him flying.

"You can insult me all you want, I will take it. Heck, you can even hit me and I will not say anything, but never mess with my friends. Do you hear me?" Luffy said, then turned to look at his nakama. "Let's go, guys. I am tired, and it's getting late," Luffy said while walking to the door. Nami turned to hand the bartender a bag full of berries. "Sorry for the trouble," she said, then left with her Nakama to Sunny, their home.

After they arrived at the Sunny, Chopper told Luffy to go to the infirmary so that he could do a check-up and see if the babies were alright. While Luffy was doing the check-up, the crew was cleaning Sunny so that Luffy wouldn't get hurt by anything. After Luffy finished his check-up, Chopper told him to rest because now that he was pregnant, he needed the rest.

The next day, the crew was unpacking everything they had bought. Franky, with the help of Usopp, started building the nursery. Nami helped Luffy put all his clothes in the captain's quarters, which he barely used since he didn't like sleeping alone. The rest of the crew were helping Sanji and Chopper with the food, medicine, and baby supplies.

Nothing happened that day. Everything was peaceful, or as peaceful as it could get with a pregnant Luffy on a ship. After a few weeks, Luffy started to develop mood swings and crazy cravings, like bananas, chocolate, and meat with a strawberry smoothie. He also started not to tolerate certain foods that contained bread, and would vomit them. He also couldn't eat Udon curry; the smell alone would make him vomit.

The mood swings started to get worse every day, and he became hard to deal with. The crew was walking on eggshells around Luffy; one wrong word, and everything could go to shit really fast. The crew was starting to curse both Kidd and Law.
