Chapter 18: A Heartless Halloween
Arthur, Sora, Eilonwy, Calla, T.J., Donald, Goofy, Max, P.J., Robin, and Tod leave Atlantica and return to the Gummi ship, as they revert back to their normal forms and they continue their journey for the next world.
"Well, looks like our next stop is a world next to Atlantica." Arthur said.
"Time to get goin' again." Donald said.
The Gummi ship starts flying while fighting off Heartless ships and after a few minutes of flying and dodging obstacles, they arrive at the next world, which looks like a giant pumpkin with a face, a spooky looking town with a fountain of green water, a graveyard with a curly hill, and a creepy manor at the bottom.
"Wow. This world looks...interesting..." Sora said.
"Fellas, this is Halloween Town. It's a world, where monsters live." Chip said.
"And as the name implies, they celebrate Halloween every year!" Dale said.
"Halloween...? Sounds interesting." Calla said.
"Well, we might as well check it out." Eilonwy said.
"Off we go!' Donald said, as they disembark.
(World of Halloween Town)
The party are now in what looks like a graveyard with the sky being red while a full moon is hanging in the sky, dead trees, dead grass, pumpkins with crooked fences, and fog spewing all over the graveyard and as they arrive, they now have different forms.
Arthur is now wearing a black and crimson torn and sleeveless tunic with a black belt, black torn pants with azure chains, black boots with spikes, and a black mask covering the left side of his face while his right side is visible, but his right eye is bloodshot red while having stitches on his face, as well as his left hand being skeletal while his right hand is that of a ghost's.
Sora is now wearing a black and grey long-sleeved outfit with white gloves, red wrappings around his legs, a small torn cape on his back, a pumpkin-like mask covering the right side of his face while having fangs and small bat wings on his back.
Eilonwy is now wearing a shoulderless violet witch's dress with a black and purple hat with the top of the witch hat floating while the hat also has a face, black choker around her neck, black belle sleeves, black torn cloak on her back, dark violer stockings, and purple short boots.
Calla is now a ragdoll with pale skin and many stitches on her body while wearing a black and red princess-like dress with wilted black roses, a black choker with a spider at the end, and a black evil-like tiara.
T.J. is now what looks like a zombie with pale skin, as well as scars and wearing a black torn up hooded coat, black torn pants, his left eye is missing, his right hand is skeletal, is barefooted, and his hat is replaced with an axe on his head.
Donald is now what looks like a mummy with bandages warpped around his body, except for his bill and tail feathers while his stomach and left arm are missing.
Goofy is now what looks like a Frankenstein's Monster with crazy eyes, a small pumpkin nose, wearing yellow and orange rags for clothes, torn green pants, and has a screw on his head.
Max also has crazy eyes, a pumpkin nose, wearing blue and green rags for clothes, torn red pants, and the top of his head is now open.
P.J. is now what looks like a behemoth-like monster with razor sharp teeth, claws, two horns on his head, wearing sleeveless red and purple rags for clothes, and has a short tail.
Robin is now a red-furred werewolf with fangs, claws, wearing dark green rags for clothes, bloodshot eyes, barefooted, and a bone on his head in place of his hat.
Tod is now a red-furred werewolf pup with fangs, claws, and bloodshot eyes with slit pupils.
"Wow! Take a look at how I look!" Calla said, examining her new form.
"Guess this is the work of Donald's magic." Robin said.
"Of course! It's for the world order!" Donald said.
"Border?" T.J. asked.
"I said 'order'!" Donald yelled.
"I know. I just wanted to annoy ya!" T.J. said, grinning and making the duck mage grumble.
"Gee, Chip and Dale weren't kiddin' when they said this world is spooky..." Goofy said.
"Yeah, this place is kinda scary..." Tod said.
"I'll bet the people we'll meet are kinda spooky too..." Arthur said.
"Whaddya got to worry about, Artie? Sure this world is dark, gloomy, scary, and full of monsters, but we'll be fine." T.J. said.
"Yeah. Don't forget, we look spooky too." Donald said.
"If some sucker tries to scare us, we'll just scare 'em right BACK!" Max said, grinning.
"Ya think so, Max?" P.J. asked.
"Positive! Let's see what Halloween Town's got to scare!" Sora said.
"Here we go." Robin said.
"This will be interesting to deal with..." Eilonwy said.
The party start moving through the graveyard and they come across a scarecrow with a sign that says 'Halloween Town', meaning they're close to the town and they come across a crooked gate and open it, taking them to the town square.
"Well, here we are." Calla said.
"I wonder what's gonna..." Robin was cut off, as an explosion occurs.
"What was that?!" Arthur asked, as they see smoke coming from a tower-like structure.
"What just happened?" Eilonwy asked, as Search Ghost Heartless appear.
"Heartless!" Tod said, growling, as the party get ready to fight, but the Heartless aren't moving or even attacking.
"That's weird. Ya think they'd be attacking us by now." P.J. said.
"Guess we should call these guys the 'Brainless'." T.J. said, making Arthur, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Max, and P.J. chuckle.
"At least the Black Xetis haven't shown up yet. Since we have no reason to fight right now, let's explore." Robin said.
"Good idea, Robin." Goofy said.
As the party start exploring the town square, they see many monsters gathering around the town's fountain in the center.
"What's going on here?" Arthur asked.
"Something interesting, I'm sure." Max said.
"Hey, look over there!" T.J. called, pointing at someone, who is a monster with an orange happy face and wearing a black and white suit with a spider bowtie, as well as ribbon that says 'Mayor' and a black tophat while holding a megaphone.
"And now, allow me to introduce the Master of Terror! The King of Nightmares...JACK SKELLINGTON!" The Mayor announced, as the Search Ghosts separate to present the fountain, as something emerges from the fountain's green water, which is a tall and slim skeleton wearing a black and white pinstripe suit with a bat bowtie and the skeleton strikes a pose, making the monsters cheer.
"Well, that was something..." Sora said.
"They seemed to enjoy it." P.J. said.
"Bravo, Jack! Bravo! These ghosts will be a HUGE hit for this year's Halloween!" The Mayor said.
"Thank you! Thank you! Still, their movements still need more work. They're still not quite scary enough..." Jack said, hanging his head down. "I want to strike BONE-CHILLING terror! I'm going to consult the Doctor!" Jack said, leaving.
"Then I'll attend to the decorations!" The Mayor said, leaving as well.
"Usin' the Heartless for Halloween...?" Goofy asked, scratching his head.
"I can't say that's a very good idea..." Eilonwy said.
"Why don't we follow that Jack guy and see what they're up to?" Sora suggested.
"Good idea, Sora. Hope nothing goes wrong..." Arthur said.
"Same here." Tod said.
(Field Theme: This is Halloween)
The party follow Jack and they later arrive at a yard, where they find a metallic tower and go into it, taking them into the tower's entrance with a spiral staircase, so the party climb up the staircase and later reach the upper section, where they find a lift and use it to take them to the tower's main laboratory, where they find Jack, who is with another person, who is a scientist with white skin, eight bolts around his head, wearing a white lab coat, black gloves, black goggles, and on a wheelchair examining a Search Ghost on a metallic table.
"I don't understand what went wrong... Perhaps the guidance system was damaged in the explosion..." Jack said, looking through a book.
"Nonsense! My devices are always perfect!" The scientist said.
Jack keeps reading through the book, but finds something.
"Ah-ha! I've got it! Why, of course! It's obvious! The Heartless need a heart! Dr. Finkelstein, do you suppose we can try adding a heart into the device?" Jack asked.
"Certainly! A heart's not all THAT complicated! Let's get to work! Igor, bring me the heart!" Dr. Finkelstein ordered a purple monster with a hunched back and having only one eye while wearing a white lab coat and black gloves.
"Yesssss, Master! Right away!" Igor said, as he takes out what looks like a pulsating heart with a lock on it from a shelf.
"'To make a heart, first we must take the container with a lock'." Jack read the book.
"Well done, Igor." Dr. Finkelstein said, throwing a bone biscuit at Igor, who eats it. "Jack, we'll need a key for this thing first." Dr. Finkelstein said.
"But where are we to find the right key for the lock?" Jack asked.
After hearing the conversation, Sora gets an idea while looking at his Keyblade.
"Sora, are you sure you wanna unlock it for them?" Calla asked.
"Why not? If they succeed, maybe we won't actually have to fight the Heartless for once." Sora said.
"That's a good point." Robin said.
"And it'd be more easier to find this world's Keyhole too." Goofy said.
"But what about the Black Xetis?" Arthur asked.
"They haven't shown up yet, Artie. We're fine for now." T.J. said.
"As much as I like the idea of not dealing with Heartless, what if something goes wrong?" Tod asked.
"I'm with Tod. I have a bad feeling about all this..." P.J. said.
"Aw, ya worry too much. Nuttin's gonna happen." Max said.
"Yeah and besides, I kinda wanna see the Heartless dance." Sora said.
"Not me. That just sounds silly." Donald said.
"Still, there's no harm in helping them out." Calla said.
"I guess we'll just see what will happen." Robin said.
"And if the Heartless DO end up attacking, well, we all know what to do." Eilonwy said.
"Yeah, exactly." T.J. said.
"Okay, Sora, go ahead and unlock that heart." Arthur said.
Sora goes for the heart and uses his Keyblade to unlock it.
"My, that was amazing! And, uh, you are...?" Jack asked.
"Sora!" Sora introduced.
"And I'm Arthur." Arthur introduced.
"Well done, Sora! For that, I want you, Arthur, and your friends to be a part of this year's Halloween!" Jack said.
"We're more than happy to join your festival, Jack." Sora said.
"Um, Jack, you mind telling us why this Heartless is here?" Arthur asked, pointing at the Search Ghost.
"Oh, the Heartless came to town just recently, so we've decided to throw a Heartless Halloween Festival. The frustrating part is that I can't get them to dance how I want them to. So, Dr. Finkelstein and I are working to improve the guidance system. He's quite a genius! Okay, Doctor! Let's continue! The ingredients for a heart. We have the emotion set ready!" Jack said.
"Igor, fetch the necessary ingredients!" Dr. Finkelstein ordered.
"Yessss, Massster!" Igor said, going for a shelf and takes out a pulsating frog, a spider, a pane of glass with an eerie screech, and two snake that are orange and blue eating each other's tails. "Pulse... Terror... Fear... And hope and despair!" Igor said, placing the ingredients on the table.
"Well done, Igor! Now, mix them all together and we have a heart!" Jack said.
Dr. Finkelstein places the heart into a machine and then pulls a lever, making electricity crackle over the Search Ghost, who rises, only for it to fall back down.
"It failed!" Dr. Finkelstein said, as Jack makes a dramatic pose.
"If I can make a suggestion; perhaps you're missing other ingredients." Eilonwy suggested.
"Hmm, perhaps the girl is right... Maybe more ingredients are required! I know! Let's try adding memory!" Dr. Finkelstein said, open his head, revealing his brain, disgusting Arthur, Eilonwy, Max, P.J., and Robin, as the mad scientist is scratching it. "Sally...? Sally!" Dr. Finkelstein called, but no response. "Argh! Good-for-nothing girl! Don't know why I even bothered creating her!" Dr. Finkelstein said, closing his head.
"Do you think this Sally has the memory you need?" Robin asked.
"Precisely! Jack, see if you can track her down!" Dr. Finkelstein said.
"No problem. Everyone, would you like to come along?" Jack asked.
"Sure!" Sora said, but Donald puts his hands on his hips.
"Knock it off, Duck!" Calla berated.
"Where can we find Sally?" Max asked.
"She normally spends most of her time at the graveyard. We'll check there first." Jack said.
"Graveyard, got it!" P.J. said.
The party leave the laboratory and return outside, only to find the Mayor, whose face is now pale with a frown.
"Jack! Jack! We have a major crisis! The Heartless are completely out of control and are attacking everyone! Not only that, but more monsters have arrived and are causing havoc in Halloween Town! We can't stop them!" The Mayor cried.
"The Black Xetis!" Arthur said.
"Somehow, I was afraid something like this would happen." Eilonwy said.
"Hmm, maybe our device triggered something... Everything will be fine, Mayor! You have nothing to worry about." Jack assured, but Donald crosses his arms while tapping his foot.
"Ugh, we get it! Knock it off or I'll end you!" Calla threatened.
"And if she doesn't I will!" Eilonwy said.
"Ugh, fine!" Donald said.
"Well, guess we gotta fight the Black Xetis and Heartless after all." T.J. said.
"We can't ignore them, Teej. We gotta help." Arthur said.
"Artie's right! C'mon!" Tod said.
"I'll help as well! I won't let anything ruin my Halloween festival!" Jack said.
The party return to the town square, where they find the Search Ghost Heartless, as well as Black Xetis that look like mages with pumpkin heads attacking everyone.
"Guys, let's do this!" Sora said, taking out his Keyblade.
"En garde, friends!" Jack said.
(Battle Theme: Spooks of Halloween Town)
The Search Ghost Heartless attack the party with their hands while the Mage O'Lantern Black Xetis use their lanterns to unleash blue fireballs to deal burning, but Arthur casts Hypno to make the enemies attack each other and then delivers four slashes with Excalibur followed by casting Voltra while Sora vertical slashes with Kingdom Key followed by Blitz and then casts Blizzara, but the Search Ghost Heartless try to drain the party's lives. Eilonwy strikes back with casting Frostra followed by casting Quakra while Calla unleashes four magic music notes followed by unleashing five more magic music notes and then casts Briar and unleashes thorned vines, only for the Mage O'Lantern Black Xetis to unleash jets of blue flames to burn the party. T.J. counters with diagonal slashes with his daggers followed by two roundhouse slashes and then uses Razor Boomerang, but the Search Ghost Heartless retaliate with striking with their hands while the Mage O'Lantern Black Xetis create rings of blue flames with their lanterns, only for Tod to use Growl followed by Quick Attack. The Mage O'Lantern Black Xetis unleash more blue fireballs while the Search Ghost Heartless try to drain the lives of the party, but Donald casts Gravity followed by casting Water while Goofy double bashes with his shield followed by Discus and throws his shield, only for the Mage O'Lantern Black Xetis to unleash more jets of blue flames. Max blocks with his shield and then uses triple slashes with his sword followed by Blitz Strike while P.J. delivers three heavy swings with his hammer followed by Wind Wand and unleashes gusts of wind to blow the enemies, only for the Search Ghost Heartless to strike with their hands while the Mage O'Lantern Black Xetis unleash rings of blue flames. Robin strikes back with firing four arrows followed by firing five more arrows and then uses Arrow Rain and rains down arrows, but the Mage O'Lantern Black Xetis shoot more blue fireballs while the Search Ghost Heartless try to drain the lives of the party, only for Jack to deliver three strikes with his skeletal claws followed by casting Blazing Fury, unleashing three flaming skulls, dealing burning damage and they defeat the enemies.
"That takes care of them." T.J. said, putting his hands behind his head.
"But more are gonna appear and now they've made themselves known." Calla said.
"We'll be ready. Now, let's head for the graveyard and find Sally." Jack said.
"Good idea." Arthur said.
The party go for the town's main gate and open it, taking them back to the graveyard to look for Sally.
"Guys, we should be on the look out for any more Black Xetis and Heartless around here." Eilonwy said.
"Good idea, Eilonwy. They could show up at any moment." Max said.
Just then, Wight Knight Heartless, as well as Brute O'Lantern Black Xetis appear and surround the party.
"Right on cue!" Sora said, taking out his Keyblade.
"Get ready!" Robin said.
The Wight Knight Heartless attack the party with their dance-like moves with their claws while the Brute O'Lantern Black Xetis swing their spiked clubs and slam them to the ground, only for Arthur to cast Stun, stunning the enemies and then horizontal slashes with Excalibur followed by Arcane Blast while Sora triple slashes with Kingdom Key followed by Ripple Drive, but the Wight Knight Heartless deliver spinning attacks with their claws. P.J. delivers two spinning strikes with his hammer followed by Shocking Sickle and strikes with his sickle while dealing lightning damage while Max uses Cymbal Dance and delivers shield combo strikes followed by an upper shield bash, only for the Brute O'Lantern Black Xetis to jump and deliver slamming attacks to deal large damage. Jack casts Icy Terror and unleashes homing shards of ice to deal freezing damage while Calla casts Thundara Shot, but the Wight Knight Heartless deliver more dancing strikes with their claws, only for T.J. to use Stink Bombs to deal poison damage, but the Brute O'Lantern Black Xetis deliver heavy swinging attacks with their spiked clubs. Goofy blocks with his shield and then triple bashes with his shield followed by Super Charge to knock the enemies back, only for the Wight Knight Heartless to leap while somersaulting strike with their claws, but Robin uses Sniper Arrow and delivers a powerful arrow strike. The Brute O'Lantern Black Xetis jump and slam their spiked clubs on the ground while the Wight Knight Heartless deliver spinning attack with their claws, only for Tod to use Skullbash while Donald casts Thundara followed by casting Gravity, only for the Brute O'Lantern Black Xetis to deliver heavy swings with their spiked clubs, but Eilonwy unleashes magic blades and then casts Blazra and they defeat the enemies.
"Coast is clear, but where're gonna find Sally?" P.J. asked.
"I have an idea!" Jack said, tapping his leg, making a ghost dog with a pumpkin nose coming out of a grave. "Zero! Have you seen Sally anywhere?" Jack asked, as Zero flies for a tombstone, making a gasp noise.
Someone comes out from hiding behind the tombstone and it's a ragdoll girl with long red hair and stitches while wearing green, yellow, and orange rags for clothes.
"Is something wrong, Jack?" The ragdoll named Sally asked.
"No, everything's going great! We're going to have the best Halloween ever! All we need now is your memory!" Jack said.
"Memory...? You mean this...?" Sally asked, taking out a white wilted flower.
"Ahh, perfect! The Forget-Me-Not! This is just what we need! Thank you, Sally!" Jack said, taking the Forget-Me-Not.
"Listen, Jack... I have a very bad feeling about all this. Why don't you try something else? There's still time." Sally said.
"Nothing can beat what I've got planned! Once we give the Heartless a heart, they'll dance just as I've envisioned it!" Jack said.
"But, Jack..." Sally stops talking.
"Trust me, Sally! You're gonna love it!" Jack said.
"At least we're not the only ones with a bad feeling..." Tod said.
"Yeah, but for now, let's just help Jack with how we can." Calla said, as they leave the graveyard and Sally follows them.
Just then, a tombstone starts shaking while there is giggling and coming out are three children, which are two boys and one girl wearing costumes.
"Lock!" The first boy with red hair and wearing a devil costume named Lock said.
"Shock!" The girl with split hairs and wearing a witch costume named Shock said.
"Barrel!" The second boy with green hair and wearing a skeleton costume with mutant feet named Barrel said.
"Did you hear that?" Lock asked.
"Yeah, they're making a heart! What should we do?" Barrel asked.
"Gosh, you really ARE stupid! Isn't it obvious?" Shock asked.
"Oh, right! We tell Oogie Boogie!" Barrel said, as they laugh.
The party return to Dr. Finkelstein's lab and they give the mad scientist the Forget-Me-Not.
"Ahh, the Forget-Me-Not! Perfect! Very fitting for the memory ingredient! There's another ingredient and it's 'surprise'. Find the Mayor at the boneyard." Dr. Finkelstein said.
Meanwhile in a room, Lock, Shock, and Barrel huddle together in fear, as a burlap sack, who is tied together with threads with arms, stubby legs, as well as two holes for eyes, and an opening for a mouth is laughing evilly.
"A heart?! That bonehead Jack is REALLY makin' a heart?! Well, I'll be jiggered! That works for me! Oh, I can't wait to get my hands on... Well, I got no hands, but I'm still gonna nab that heart and control the Heartless! I already got the Black Xetis under my control, so things'll be TOO easy!" Oogie Boogie said, laughing evilly.
"Do you truly think this will work?" A voice asked and it's Meta Knight.
"Hmph! I don't recall asking YOUR opinion, Knight! You should be spying on those annoying runts!" Oogie said.
"At least I'm doing my job. Can you say the same, Oogie?" Meta Knight asked.
"In case you don't know, I'm gonna use that heart to control the Heartless and use 'em to find that Keyhole and the Light Crystal piece! I've already sent the Black Xetis to search for me as well! In a way, I AM doing my job! Besides, I know what you're all about!" Oogie said.
"If you really have a brain among those bugs in that sack, you had best keep that opening you call a mouth shut." Meta Knight said, disappearing in his cape.
"Pfft, whatever, ye of little faith! Bah! That masked maggot REALLY grinds my gears! Don't know why Maleficent bothered recruiting him! No matter! You three, I have a job for you!" Oogie said.
Meanwhile, the party leave the lab and return to the graveyard and use a tombstone to take them to the boneyard, where they find the Mayor standing next to a giant pumpkin.
"Good, you're all here!" The Mayor said.
"So, what do we have to do?" Sora asked.
"It's quite simple; ghosts will be rising from these tombstones. Check the tombstones in order the ghosts appear. Get it wrong and you're in for a surprise!" The Mayor said.
The party see ghosts rising from certain tombstones and after guessing the right order of the appearing ghosts, an explosion occurs.
"Splendid! Now, take a look at the pumpkin!" The Mayor said.
The party find the giant pumpkin destroyed and they find a jack-in-a-box.
"So, this is surprise ingredient?" P.J. asked.
"I guess so." Robin said.
"Well, let's take it to the Doctor." Jack said.
The party return to the lab and give Dr. Finkelstein the jack-in-a-box.
"Excellent! This'll be a fine surprise ingredient! Now, the next ingredient we need is 'laughter'. The Clown will be able to help you. Find him at the pumpkin patch." Dr. Finkelstein said.
The party leave the lab and they later find another gate and open it, taking them to the pumpkin patch, where they find a clown on a unicycle and is with three pumpkins.
"Ah, good! The Doc told me you'd meet me here for that laughter ingredient!" The Clown said.
"Just what do we have to do?" Calla asked.
"Simple. Watch how these three pumpkins move. If you see a pumpkin laughing, tap it. Ghosts will appear out of the laughing pumpkins. Do this and you'll find the laughter ingredient." The Clown said.
"Okay, let's do it." Sora said.
The party watch, as a pumpkin starts moving and laughing, so Arthur taps the first pumpkin, making a ghost fly out of the first pumpkin and then, another pumpkin moves and laughs, as Sora taps the second pumpkin to make the second ghost fly out while the third pumpkin moves and laughs, as Arthur taps the third pumpkin, making the third ghost fly out and the ghosts leave an item, which is a pumpkin-shaped balloon.
"Hey! You did it! Ya found the laughter ingredient!" The Clown said.
"Great! Let's give this to Dr. Finkelstein." Max said.
The party return to the lab and give Dr. Finkelstein the pumpkin balloon.
"Wonderful! This matches the laughter ingredient perfectly. Now, there's just one more ingredient we need and it's 'pain'. The Vampire Brothers will help you. Find them at the town's residential area." Dr. Finkelstein said.
The party leave the lab and make their way through the town square and find another gate, leading them to the town's residential area and come across four vampires, who are standing in front of four statues.
"Oh, vonderful! You've arrived." The eldest Vampire said.
"Ve're in charge of helping you find the pain ingredient." The second eldest Vampire said.
"So, what do we hafta do?" Goofy asked.
"Very simple. These four statues vill attack you, but you must be ready to strike back." The younger Vampire said.
"Pay attention to vich statue will attack and then strike back at the statue." The youngest Vampire said.
"If you manage to destroy the statues, you'll be able to obtain the pain ingredient." The eldest Vampire said.
The party watch, as which statue is going to attack and the second statue begins to attack, only for Sora to counter and strikes at the second statue, but the fourth statue gets ready to attack, only for Arthur to counter and strikes back at the fourth statue, but the third statue begins to attack, only for Sora to counter and strikes at the third statue, but the first statue gets ready to attack, only for Arthur to counter and strikes and they destroy the four statues, making four ghosts fly out.
"Splendid! Behold! The pain ingredient!" The eldest Vampire said, as the ghost leave what looks like a bear trap.
"Well, we got the pain ingredient." T.J. said.
"Back to the lab." Robin said.
The party return to the lab and give Dr. Finkelstein the bear trap.
"Excellent! This will make a fine pain ingredient!" Dr. Finkelstein said, placing the four ingredients into the heart. "There you go... This time, it's sure to work!" Dr. Finkelstein said, going for the machine.
Just then, someone jumps in front of Dr. Finkelstein and it's Barrel, who trips the mad scientist, as he falls, making the heart bounces off and lands in Lock's hands, as he, Shock, and Barrel leave the lab.
"Uh, what just happened?" T.J. asked.
"The nerve of those hooligans, stealing my work!" Dr. Finkelstein yelled.
"Don't fret, Doctor! We'll go after them and get that heart back." Jack said, as they leave the lab.
The party return to the town square, only to find the three kids gone.
"We lost 'em!" Sora said.
"Now what?" Arthur asked, as Jack taps his leg, making Zero arrive.
"Zero, after them! Quick!" Jack said, as Zero goes after the three pranksters.
The party follow Zero and return to the graveyard, where they find Zero going after Lock, Shock, and Barrel, who are using a walking bathtub to get across a curly hill, so the party use the tombstone to return to the boneyard and then arrive at the curly hill, but as the party keep chasing after the prankster trio, someone gets in their way and it's Meta Knight.
"Going somewhere?" Meta Knight asked.
"You! We dealt with you back at the Mushroom Kingdom!" Sora yelled.
"Meta Knight, if I recall!" Donald said.
"If you're trying to reclaim the heart, don't bother. It'll only end in failure." Meta Knight said.
"We don't have time for you!" Jack yelled.
"Get outta the way, if you know what's good for ya!" Max yelled.
"Hmph! You couldn't stop me last time. Allow me to give you some company." Meta Knight said, as two giant Black Xetis appear and one has a flaming orange pumpkin head while wearing black and orange armor, an orange torn and fiery cape, crimson fiery crown, and carrying a crimson flaming axe while the second has an icy blue pumpkin head while wearing black and blue armor, a blue torn and frosty cape, azure frosty crown, and carrying an azure icy mace and both have the Black Xeti symbols on their pumpkin heads.
"Oh, really? Using Black Xetis to do your dirty work than just fight us yourself?" Eilonwy asked, taking out her tome.
"I would gladly challenge you to another fight, but I'm busy at the moment." Meta Knight said.
"Hmph! Doesn't matter! We'll teach them a lesson!" Calla said, taking out her lyre.
"Good luck. Deal with them." Meta Knight said, disappearing in his cape, as the two giant Black Xetis attack.
"Here they come!" Jack said.
"Get ready for double trouble!" P.J. said, taking out his hammer.

The fiery pumpkin Black Xeti known as Blaze Pumpkin Monarch swings its fiery axe while creating trails of flames and then slams its axe to create rings of flames while the icy pumpkin Black Xeti known as Frost Pumpkin Monarch swings its icy mace while unleashing mists of ice and then slams its mace to create spikes of ice, but Arthur vertical slashes with Excalibur followed by casting Blazra at Frost Pumpkin Monarch while Sora casts Blizzara at Blaze Pumpkin Monarch. The two Black Xetis retaliate with Frost Pumpkin Monarch unleashing beams of ice to try and freeze the party, who dodge, only for Blaze Pumpkin Monarch to breathe flames to deal burning damage, but Jack casts Bolts of Sorrow to unleash bolts of lightning to deal damage to the two Black Xetis while Donald casts Thundara. The Black Xetis keep fighting back with Frost Pumpkin Monarch to create spikes of ice and then summons raining shards of ice while Blaze Pumpkin Monarch triple slams its axe while unleashing pillars of flames, only for Calla to cast Whirlwinds to strike at the two Black Xetis while P.J. uses Ground Pound and unleashes shock waves. Blaze Pumpkin Monarch leaps into the air and slams its fiery axe to create a fiery explosion while Frost Pumpkin Monarch swings its icy mace and then unleashes beams of ice, only for Eilonwy to unleash five magic orbs and then casts Frostra to strike at Blaze Pumpkin Monarch and then casts Blazra at Frost Pumpkin Monarch. The two Black Xetis retaliate, as Frost Pumpkin Monarch rains down more shards of ice while Blaze Pumpkin Monarch throws its fiery axe while creating trails of flames, but Goofy blocks with his shield and then uses Tornado while T.J. uses Divira and creates four clones of himself and they use Trick Slash. Blaze Pumpkin Monarch delivers four swings with its fiery axe followed by unleashing pillars of flames while Frost Pumpkin Monarch unleashes two beams of ice, only for Tod to triple strike with his stick followed by Skullbash while Max uses Shield Boomerang and throws his shield while Robin uses Arrow Barrage and fires many arrows.
Blaze Pumpkin Monarch and Frost Pumpkin Monarch join together and throw their fiery axe and icy mace all over the curly hill while unleashing trails of flames and ice while dealing burning and freezing damage, only for the party to dodge, but the throwing weapons keep unleashing fire and ice while unleashing a fiery and icy explosion, but Jack casts Ghastly Orbs and unleashes orbs of darkness to strike at the two Black Xetis while Eilonwy casts Quakra. Blaze Pumpkin Monarch delivers four swings with its fiery axe followed by slamming its axe on the ground to unleash pillars of flames while Frost Pumpkin Monarch spin attacks with its icy mace and then rains down shards of ice, only for Max to use Cyclone and strikes at the two Black Xetis while P.J. uses Wind Wand and unleashes whirlwinds. Frost Pumpkin Monarch unleashes three beams of ice to try and freeze the party, who dodge, only for Blaze Pumpkin Monarch to breathe flames to deal burning damage, but Calla strikes back with unleashing magic music waves followed by casting Geo Impact while T.J. uses Razor Boomerang and throws it. The two Black Xetis throw their weapons again while unleashing trails of flames and ice to deal burning and freezing damage to the party, who dodge, but Blaze Pumpkin Monarch shoots three fireballs while Frost Pumpkin Monarch shoots three ice shards, only for Goofy to use Super Charge while Robin uses Cyclone Arrow. Frost Pumpkin Monarch delivers five swings with its icy mace and then unleashes spikes of ice while Blaze Pumpkin Monarch slams its fiery axe followed by breathing flames, only for Tod to use Tail Strike while Donald casts Gravity followed by casting Earthra, but the Black Xetis throw their weapons again to deal burning and freezing damage. The party dodge the throwing weapons, only for Blaze Pumpkin Monarch to unleash pillars of flames while Frost Pumpkin Monarch rains down shards of ice, but Sora uses Strike Raid and throws his Keyblade four times and delivers the final Keyblade throw while Arthur uses Holy Blade and strikes with his light-coated sword followed by a slamming attack and they finish off the Black Xetis.
Both Blaze Pumpkin Monarch and Frost Pumpkin roar with rage and pain, as they drop their weapons, which disappear and both their pumpkin heads explode, as they vanish into black mist.
"Hehe! Us against two Black Xetis was never a contest!" T.J. said, putting his hands behind his head.
"Hmph! It seems you've shown promise compared to last time we fought." Meta Knight said, standing on a pumpkin.
"That's what happens when you underestimate us!" Max yelled.
"Don't get too overconfident. You've still yet to defeat the likes of Maleficent, Dr. Facilier, and Ruber." Meta Knight said.
"Oh, shut up! You're just wasting our time!" Calla yelled.
"It stops now." Robin said.
"You're the ones wasting your own time. You're improving, but you're still novices." Meta Knight said.
"What'd you say?!" Donald demanded, jumping up and down.
"The Black Xetis you just fought off were no more than a diversion to keep you busy while Lock, Shock, and Barrel could continue bringing the heart to Oogie Boogie. You're already too late." Meta Knight said.
"You...!" Tod growled.
"You can continue to try and stop them if you wish, but it's like I told you; the heart you're trying to reclaim will end in failure. Even if you do recover it, your Heartless Halloween will be all for nothing." Meta Knight said.
"I don't believe you!" Jack said.
"Believe or don't believe is your choice, but you will soon learn. I'm finished here. I'll leave the rest to Oogie." Meta Knight said, disappearing in his cape.
"Just what'd Meta Knight mean 'bout the heart endin' in failure?" Goofy asked, scratching his head.
"Dunno, but right now, we gotta get it back." Sora said.
"Sora's right. Let's hurry." Robin said.
Tod finds a switch on the curly hill and Arthur presses it to make the curly hill straight, allowing the party to cross the hill and arrive at a hollow forest, where they come across more Black Xetis and Heartless and fight them off and keep going through the hollow forest, where they find a bridge, leading to a gate, so they go for the gate and open it, taking them to what looks like a giant manor, where they find the prankster trio still on their walking bathtub and crossing the bridge.
"I knew Oogie Boogie was behind this!" Jack said.
"Meta Knight said that name before. Who is he?" Eilonwy asked.
"He's an evil bag of bugs, who tried to run me out of town to take over, but he's always failed." Jack said.
"So, that's why those three stole the heart." P.J. said.
"He thinks by using the heart, he can control the Heartless." Calla said.
"We can't let that happen." Tod said.
"Let's go and stop 'em!" Donald said.
"Get ready for some climbin'." Goofy said.
"Heh, no prob! I was born to climb!" T.J. said.
The party begin moving through the manor while climbing their way up to the manor's upper section, but then, Gargoyle Heartless, Trick Black Xetis, and Treat Black Xetis appear and attack, only for the party to defeat them and keep moving through the manor and later, they reach the highest section of the manor and find a small hut.
"You think they're in there?" Arthur asked.
"Only one way to find out." Calla said, as they go into the hut.
The party are now in what looks like an evil playroom, where they find Lock, Shock, and Barrel, as Lock throws the heart into a masked hole on the wall, but they turn around to see the party.
"Well, look who it is! It's Jack!" Lock said.
"Welcome to our playroom, Jack!" Shock said.
"Did you have fun following us, Jack?" Barrel asked.
"Enough of your nonsense! Where did you put the heart?!" Jack demanded.
"Sorry, but we can't tell you." Shock said.
"And ya can't make us!" Barrel said.
"Then we'll make you!" Sora said.
"Run away!" Lock, Shock, and Barrel said, as they run.
"Oh, no you don't!" Eilonwy said, casting Telekinesis to catch the three.
"My turn!" Calla said, using her lyre to create vines from the ground to trap the prankster trio.
"Good work, you two." Robin said.
"Look, we were following orders, okay? It wasn't our fault!" Lock said.
"Oh, really? Then WHY did you steal the heart?" Tod asked.
"It's Barrel's fault! He was the one, who said we should tell Oogie about the heart." Shock said.
"Yeah, that's right!" Lock said.
"B-But you guys said..." Barrel was cut off.
"You should be ashamed!" Shock scolded.
"But it wasn't my fault..." Barrel said.
"This is going nowhere..." T.J. said.
"Listen, you three. We don't have time for this. Just tell us where Oogie and the heart are." Arthur said, kneeling to their level.
"We can't tell you." Lock said.
"This is your last chance! Tell us where Oogie Boogie is or else!" Jack said.
"Or else what?" Shock asked.
"OR I SHALL CHOP OFF YOUR LITTLE HEADS ONE-BY-ONE AND AFTER THAT, I'LL FEAST ON YOUR HEADS AND FEED YOU THREE TO THE BEASTS!" Jack threatened, making the prankster trio shiver with fear.
"Gawrsh..." Goofy said.
"He's...not serious, is he...?" P.J. asked, shivering with fear.
"That's kinda excessive, Jack." Sora said.
"Okay, we'll talk! The heart's going to Oogie's torture chamber, but it's locked. There's a lever that unlocks the door to the torture chamber." Lock said, pointing at a lever in the room's corner.
"Thank you. That's all we needed to know." Arthur said, pulling the lever.
"You weren't really serious about your threat, weren't you, Jack?" Donald asked.
"Of course not! It was just to scare the confession out of them and it worked." Jack said.
"Still, that sent shivers down my spine." Max said.
"What matters is we know where the heart and Oogie are and now we gotta find 'em." Robin said.
"Agreed. Let's head for the torture chamber. I happen to know where it is. As for you three, you stay here and I;ll decide your real punishment for later." Jack said, as they leave the playroom.
"Jack, you said ya know where the torture chamber is?" Goofy asked.
"That's correct, Goofy. It's at the bottom of the manor." Jack said.
"Lead the way." Eilonwy said.
The party make their way through the manor and they later find a lift and use it to take them down to the bottom of the manor, where they find a green door with the face of Oogie Boogie on it.
"This is the way to the torture chamber?" Donald asked.
"That's right. Oogie must be in there." Jack said.
"Then in we go!" Sora said, as they go for the green door and open it.
The party arrive in the torture chamber, which is what looks like a fun house and casino blend with a giant roulette wheel at the bottom of the chamber with many deadly casino-themed weapons and they find someone standing at the other side and it's Oogie Boogie, who is carrying the heart.
"Well, well, well, look what the black cat dragged in! My good friend, Jack Skellington!" Oogie said, smiling evilly.
"Wait, YOU'RE Oogie Boogie?!" T.J. asked.
"You're correct, boy!" Oogie said.
"You don't even look scary." Calla said.
"No. He's just a walking and talking sack of garbage." Donald said, making everyone laugh, but Oogie gets mad.
"Look here, Duck! Nobody and I mean NOBODY makes a joke outta me!" Oogie yelled.
"You'll always be a joke, Oogie! Now, hand over that heart!" Jack yelled.
"Oh, you want it, Bonehead? Well, come on over get it!" Oogie said, putting the heart into his sack body.
"Did he just...?" Eilonwy stops talking.
"Ugh, I wish I didn't see that..." P.J. gagged.
"I think I'm gonna be sick..." Arthur gagged as well.
"Hahahahaha! Now, let's see if I can get their attention! Oh, Heartless!" Oogie called, as only two Gargoyle Heartless appear.
"Wow, only TWO? That's sad..." Max said.
"You're a weak Heartless master." Tod said.
"Th-This is it...? Nobody disrespects ME! NOBODY!" Oogie shouted.
"Good to know ya whomp!" T.J. said.
"Give us that heart, ya ugly sack of maggots!" Calla yelled.
"You STUPID BRAT! You'll PAY for that! All of you!" Oogie yelled, pulling a lever, sending the party onto the roulette pit.
"Now we have to find a way to get to him." Robin said.
"Oh, we're gonna!" P.J. said.
"Let's play a nice game of Oogie Roulette! There's even a gamble involved! What're we gambling for, you ask? Nothin' all that valuable. Just your lives! Black Xetis, get 'em!" Oogie ordered, as Trick Black Xetis and Treat Black Xetis, as well as Gargoyle Heartless attack.
(Boss Theme: Squirming Evil)
The Trick Black Xetis unleash bear traps from the ground to try and damage the party while the Treat Black Xetis throw candy bombs while the Gargoyle Heartless attack with their wings, but Arthur aerial slashes with Excalibur while Sora aerial slashes with Kingdom Key while Eilonwy casts Voltra while Calla casts Briar while T.J. throws Stink Bombs while Donald casts Thundara while Goofy uses Rocket while Max uses Sky Dance while P.J. uses Blazing Bow while Robin uses Arrow Rain while Tod uses Quick Attack while Jack casts Blazing Fury and they defeat the enemies.
"No! Time for a dice roll!" Oogie said, throwing dice on the roulette wheel. "Perfect! Card Blades!" Oogie said, as many cards rise while spinning their blades in a windmill fashion.
The party avoid the spinning swords of the cards, as Arthur casts Voltra to destroy some of them while Sora casts Blizzara while Eilonwy casts Blazra while Calla casts Thundara Shot while T.J. uses Knife Barrage while Donald casts Fira while Goofy uses Discus while Max uses Shield Boomerang while P.J. uses Wind Wand while Robin uses Arrow Barrage while Jack casts Icy Terror and they destroy the cards, but Oogie starts running while buttons start glowing with colors.
"Hey, guys. I have an idea; we should try and press a switch where Oogie is at." Arthur suggested.
"That's what I was thinking." Eilonwy said.
"Me too!" Robin said.
"Great thinking!" Sora said.
The party chase after Oogie and they press a switch at his location, making the section of the wheel rise, as they confront Oogie.
"Gotcha!" Calla said.
"Nowhere to run now!" P.J. said.
"Ugh, get away!" Oogie yelled, trying to attack.
Arthur counters with four slashes with Excalibur followed by Holy Blade while Sora diagonal slashes with Kingdom Key followed by Blitz while Eilonwy unleashes five magic orbs while Calla casts Triple Fira while T.J. vertical slashes with his daggers followed by two roundhouse slashes while Donald casts Earthra while Goofy double bashes with his shield while Max horizontal slashes with his sword while P.J. uses Shoulder Tackle while Robin uses Arrow Barrage while Tod uses Bite while Jack casts Ghastly Orbs, but after enough attacks, Oogie sends the party back on the roulette wheel.
Oogie throws three more dice on the wheel, making a buzzsaw come out and starts flying all over the room to try and get the party, who dodge, only for Oogie to throw explosive dice to try and get the party, who avoid the exploding dice and they see Oogie running away again, so they chase after him and press another glowing switch at Oogie's location, making the section rise to confront Oogie again.
"You're not gettin' away from us!" T.J. yelled.
"Go away!" Oogie yelled, trying to attack again.
Arthur uses Virtue Maelstrom and spin slashes while unleashing waves of light while Sora uses Strike Raid and throws his Keyblade four times while Eilonwy casts Gale followed by casting Frostra while Calla unleashes five magic music waves while T.J. uses Trick Slash while Donald casts Gravity followed by casting Water while Goofy uses Super Charge while Max uses Cyclone while P.J. uses Freezing Flail while Robin uses Windmill Bow while Tod triple strikes with his stick followed by Tackle while Jack casts Bolts of Sorrow, but after enough attacks, Oogie sends the party back into the roulette pit, but Arthur casts Voltra to strike the evil bag of bugs.
Oogie throws more dice onto the roulette pit, as a giant scythe wheel comes down and it starts spinning, only for the party to jump to avoid the spinning scythe wheel, but Oogie throws more explosive dice, only for the party to dodge again and Oogie starts running off again, only for the party to chase after the evil bag of bugs and they press another glowing switch, making the section rise to Oogie, who tries to strike.
Arthur parries and vertical slashes with Excalibur followed Crescent Slash while Sora delivers three 360 slashes with Kingdom Key followed by Ripple Drive while Eilonwy casts Blazra while Calla unleashes four magic music notes followed by casting Geo Impact while T.J. triple slashes with his daggers followed by Dancing Daggers and delivers a barrage of strikes while Donald casts Blizzara while Goofy uses Tornado while Max uses Blitz Strike while P.J. uses Shocking Sickle while Robin uses Sniper Arrow while Tod uses Growl while Jack uses Applause and delivers a sliding kick, only for Oogie to send the party down again.
"You're such a coward!" Max yelled.
"What's wrong? Can't take a beating?" Eilonwy asked.
"Nobody'll make a joke outta me!" Oogie yelled, throwing more dice, making the scythe wheel come down again, only for it to start bouncing while spinning.
The party start dodging the bouncing and spinning scythe wheel, only for Oogie to throw more dice to make more cards appear and spin more blades to attack, as the evil bag of bugs throws explosive dice, only for the party to dodge the attacks, but Oogie throws more dice and uses a healing machine to heal some damage and starts running off once more, only for the party to chase after him while using another glowing switch and reach up to confront Oogie again.
Oogie tries to attack once more, only for Jack to use Blazing Fury while Tod uses Quick Attack while Robin fires five arrows followed by firing four more arrows and then uses Sniper Arrow while P.J. double swings his hammer followed by Ground Pound while Max uses Cymbal Dance and delivers a powerful shield combo bash while Goofy triple bashes with his shield followed by a spinning bash while Donald casts Fira while T.J. uses Razor Boomerang while Calla casts Triple Blizzara while Eilonwy unleashes magic blades while Sora uses Sonic Blade while Arthur uses Holy Blade and they finish off Oogie.
"No...! NOOOO...! This CAN'T be happening...!" Oogie yelled, as his sack opens, revealing to be many bugs, as they fall into the roulette pit.
"Okay, gross..." Eilonwy said.
"Agreed." P.J. said.
Oogie's sack deflates and lays on the ground, as the party see the heart, as well as the final bug that's crawling, but falls into the roulette pit and struggles to get back up.
"So, the heart WAS a failure..." Jack said sadly.
"Meta Knight was right..." Donald said, as they leave the torture chamber.
Just then, Maleficent appears and looks down at the final bug.
"So, they believe they've won, but I, for one, think a little trick is called for." Maleficent said, smiling evilly.
The party leave Oogie's manor and make their way back to town.
"Sorry your Halloween was ruined, Jack." Sora said.
"It's not your fault. I thought I could control the Heartless, but I was wrong..." Jack said.
"I guess NO ONE can truly control the Heartless." Robin said.
"Well, let's try to find that Keyhole and the Light Crystal piece." Calla said.
"Good idea." Arthur said, but then, a quake occurs.
"What?!" Donald asked, trying to maintain his balance.
"What's goin' on?" Goofy asked.
The party turn to see Oogie, who's now giant, but covered in darkness while his manor is destroyed.
"JAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!" Giant Oogie shouted.
"Sweet strawberry shortcake!" P.J. said shocked.
"How'd he get so big...?" Arthur asked.
"I dunno, but it seems he's brimming with power of darkness." Eilonwy said.
"We gotta stop Oogie before he ends up destroying the town!" Donald said.
"Agreed! Let's hurry!" Jack said.
"Right!" Sora said, as they confront Giant Oogie.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I'VE NEVER FELT SUCH POWER! FROM MY POINT OF VIEW, YOU'RE NOTHING MORE THAN WORMS! I'LL GLADLY CRUSH YOU ALL AND TAKE HALLOWEEN TOWN FOR MYSELF!" Giant Oogie said.
"Don't count on it, ya stupid sack of maggots!" T.J. yelled.
"You may be big, but you're still ugly and stupid!" Calla yelled.
"We're gonna take you out!" Sora yelled.
"ENOUGH! PREPARE TO DIE!" Giant Oogie shouted.

Giant Oogie unleashes globs of poison to attack the party, who dodge out of the way, only for the globs to create puddles of poison while Giant Oogie delivers a slamming attack to try and crush the party, who dodge out of the way, as Arthur goes for one of Giant Oogie's legs and starts slashing one of them with Excalibur followed by casting Frostra and then uses Arcane Blast while Sora delivers three vertical slashes with Kingdom Key followed by casting Fira. Giant Oogie creates a swarm of dark insects and sends them to attack the two boys, only for Donald to cast Thundara at the dark insects and then unleashes magic blades to attack the legs while Goofy triple bashes with his shield followed by an upper bash while Max uses Cyclone to strike both legs. Giant Oogie jumps into the air and then tries to land on the party, who dodge, only for Giant Oogie to create a giant shock wave, but they dodge the shock wave, as Tod uses Skullbash at one of the legs while Eilonwy casts Voltra to strike both legs, only for Giant Oogie to create more globs of poison and then sends a swarm of dark insects. The party avoid the globs of poison and the swarm of dark insects, as P.J. uses Blazing Bow and fires three fiery arrows followed by using Ground Pound to strike the two legs, but Giant Oogie delivers another slamming strike to try and crush the party, only for Calla to cast Triple Fira to strike at the two legs. Giant Oogie unleashes a breath of poisonous gas to try and deal poisonous damage to the party, only for T.J. to use Divira and creates four clones, as they use Razor Boomerang and throw their boomerangs at the legs while Robin uses Sniper Arrow at one of the legs, but Giant Oogie unleashes more swarms of insects, only for Jack to cast Blazing Fury and after enough attacks, Giant Oogie falls to the ground.
"Now's our chance!" Jack said.
"Get 'im!" Tod said.
"GET AWAY, FOOLS!" Giant Oogie shouted, breathing more poisonous gas.
Arthur delivers two diagonal slashes with Excalibur followed by Holy Blade while Sora delivers two horizontal slashes with Kingdom Key followed by Blitz while Eilonwy casts Quakra while Calla casts Briar while T.J. uses Dancing Daggers while Donald shoots magic bullets followed by casting Water while Goofy delivers four bashes with his shield while Max vertical slashes with his sword while P.J. vertical swings his hammer followed by Shoulder Tackle while Robin shoots four arrows while Tod uses Growl while Jack delivers three attacks with his bone fists followed by a spiining claw slash.
After enough attacks, Giant Oogie lets out a giant scream to knock the party back, as he recovers and then unleashes more globs of poison at the party, who dodge the globs of poison, only for Giant Oogie to send out more swarms of dark insects to attack, but T.J. uses Stink Bombs to deal poison damage while Max uses Shield Skate and rides on his shield while slashing at the legs with his sword. Giant Oogie retaliates with jumping into the air and then lands on the party, who dodge, but Giant Oogie unleashes shock waves, only for P.J. to deliver three heavy swings with his hammer followed by Shocking Sickle to deal lightning damage, but Giant Oogie tries to crush the party with a slamming attack, only for Donald to cast Aero and then shoots magic blasts followed by casting Gravity. Giant Oogie breathes more poison gas to try and poison the party, who avoid the poison gas, only for Giant Oogie to conjure a giant sphere of bugs and sends it to attack, only for Calla to unleash five magic music waves to strike the two legs and then casts Thundara Shot while Jack casts Ghastly Orbs. Giant Oogie unleashes more dark insects to attack followed by unleashing more globs of poison, but Goofy blocks with his shield and then uses Goofy Turbo and rides on his shield to attack both legs while Eilonwy unleashes three blasts of magic from her tome followed by casting Blazra, only for Giant Oogie to deliver another slamming attack. Robin uses Windmill Bow to deliver a spinning bow strike at the legs, but Giant Oogie conjures two giant spheres of insects to try and get the party, who dodge, as Tod delivers four strikes with his stick followed by Tackle, but Giant Oogie jumps into the air and unleashes another shock wave. The party dodge the shock wave, only for Giant Oogie to breathe more poison gas to deal poisonous damage followed by unleashing pillars of poison, but Sora uses Sonic Blade and dashes all over to strike at the two legs while Arthur uses Virtue Maelstrom and spin slashes while unleashing waves of light and after enough attacks, Giant Oogie falls to the ground again.
Giant Oogie breathes more poison gas to to try and stop the party, who avoid the toxic breath, as Arthur delivers five slashes with Excalibur followed by Crescent Slash while Sora delivers five slashes with Kingdom Key followed Blitz while Eilonwy casts Gale followed by casting Voltra while Calla casts Geo Impact while T.J. triple slashes with his daggers while Donald unleashes pillars of magic followed by casting Blizzara while Goofy uses Tornado while Max uses Shield Boomerang while P.J. uses Boulder Bombs while Robin uses Arrow Rain while Tod attacks with his stick while Jack uses Applause.
Giant Oogie screams to knock the party back again and then unleashes three giant spheres of insects to attack the party again, only for the party to dodge, but Giant Oogie unleashes more pillars of poison to attack, only for Jack to use Bolts of Sorrow to strike at both legs while Tod uses Quick Attack and dashes all over while striking at the two legs, but Giant Oogie jumps into the air while unleashing waves of poison, only for Robin to use Cyclone Arrow. Giant Oogie sends out more swarms of dark insects followed by breathing more poison gas, but P.J. delivers two spinning swings with his hammer followed by Freezing Flail to strike at the two legs, only for Giant Oogie to deliver another slamming attack, but Max delivers four slashes with his sword followed by a spinning shield bash. Giant Oogie unleashes more globs of poison followed by unleashing pillars of poison, only for Goofy to deliver three bashes with his shield followed by Discus while Donald casts Earthra to strike at both legs followed by casting Fira, but Giant Oogie unleashes more spheres of dark bugs and sends them to attack. T.J. uses Knife Barrage and throws many knives at both legs, only for Giant Oogie to jump into the air and unleashes more waves of poison, but Calla retaliates with unleashing five magic music notes followed by casting Whirlwinds and unleashes twisters to strike, only for Giant Oogie to unleash more globs of poison followed by pillars of poison. The party dodge the poison attacks, but Giant Oogie breathes more poison followed by sending out more swarms of insects, only for Eilonwy to unleash magic blades and then casts Frostra, but Giant Oogie retaliates with unleashing more spheres of dark bugs and then delivers another slamming attack, only for Sora to use Strike Raid and throws his Keyblade at the legs while Arthur diagonal slashes with Excalibur followed by Blaze Slash and after enough attacks, Giant Oogie falls again.
Giant Oogie tries to breathe more poison at the party, who dodge, as Jack casts Icy Terror while Tod uses Skullbash while Robin shoots five arrows while P.J. uses Wind Wand and unleashes whirlwinds while Max uses Cyclone while Goofy uses Super Charge while Donald casts Fira while T.J. uses Dagger-Nado while Calla casts Aqua Blast while Eilonwy casts Blazra followed by casting Quakra while Sora delivers five slashes with Kingdom Key followed by Blizzard Slash while Arthur delivers five slashes with Excalibur followed by Crescent Slash and they finish off Giant Oogie.
Giant Oogie stumbles and struggles his balance, as many bugs fall out of him again.
"NOOOOOOOOO! NOT AGAIN...! MY PRECIOUS BUGS...! MY PRECIOUS BUGS...! MY...PRECIOUS...BUGS...!" Giant Oogie shouted, as he keeps losing more bugs while vanishing into darkness and Arthur's and Eilonwy's Attract magic upgrades to Attractra while Sora's and Donald's Gravity magic upgrades to Gravira.
"And goodbye, ya filthy sack of maggots!" T.J. said.
"Look!" Goofy said, pointing at a giant Keyhole on the ground.
Sora uses his Keyblade to lock the Keyhole, saving Halloween Town from the darkness and just then, a purple Light Crystal piece appears.
"The Light Crystal!" Arthur said.
"I don't think so!" A voice said, as Meta Knight flies for the Light Crystal piece and takes it.
"Hey, that's ours! Give it back!" P.J. yelled.
"I think not. I thank you for getting rid of that pesky Oogie Boogie. Out of all the members of Maleficent's council, he was the most useless. I shall be going now. Farewell." Meta Knight said, disappearing in his cape.
"Argh! That's another Light Crystal piece taken!" T.J. said.
"Well, what matters is Halloween Town is safe." Robin said.
"You're right, Robin. Let's head back to town." Jack said.
Meanwhile in the dark chapel, the projection of the party turns off.
"Such a pity. First, Bowser, then Ursula, and now Oogie." Dr. Facilier said, playing with his cards.
"How hard is it for them to take down a group of idiots?" Azula asked.
"Because they are the true idiots. They focus on boasting their power over darkness, they forget the price they pay." Maleficent said.
"I trust you've learned yer lesson, Jafar?" Gideon asked.
"Indeed I have. I underestimated them, but I won't make that mistake again." Jafar said.
"See that you don't. The stage is almost set. The wheels that are now in motion cannot be stopped." Maleficent said.
"Still, those annoyin' heroes are becomin' a thorn on our side!" Gideon yelled, slamming his fists against the table.
"Calm yourself, Gideon. All they need is a lesson in reality. Go to Morgan, Silver Knight, Bete Noire, Cauchemar, Kay, Belial, and your newest creation. I think we have a perfect way of making them suffer." Maleficent said.
"Oh, gladly!" Gideon said, as he and Azula leave the dark chamber.
Meanwhile, the party return to the town square, where Sally is waiting for them.
"Sally, why didn't I listen to you?" Jack asked, hanging his head down.
"Don't feel bad, Jack. We'll come up with another plan for Halloween. Next time, we'll do it together." Sally said, taking Jack's hands and the Pumpkin King smiles at Sally's words.
"So, what's gonna happen now?" Arthur asked.
"Well, I hate to do this, but I'm going to have to cancel the Heartless Halloween Festival for now. Thank you all for what you've done for us! Do come back anytime! Next year's Halloween will be the most horrible yet!" Jack said.
"Looking forward to that, Jack." Sora said.
"Emotion, memory... We've put ALL the ingredients into the heart! What else do you need to make a heart? What even IS a heart anyway? This warrants further study!" Dr. Finkelstein said, going to his lab.
"Well, it's time for us to be going." Eilonwy said.
"Right. See ya next Halloween, Jack!" Sora said.
"Goodbye, friends! Happy Halloween!" Jack said.
The party leave the town square and return to the graveyard.
"I'll be honest, I think I'll miss this place." P.J. said.
"Don't worry, Peej. We'll come back again someday." Max said.
"Right now, we gotta continue if we're gonna find who we're looking for." Arthur said and they nod, as they return for the Gummi ship and leave Halloween Town.
