Chapter 20 Good Question

Asura returned to his abode, where he met with Luka and the others and they told him a boy what they suspected about Loki. The demigod was a bit surprised by this news and he peeked over at a the garden area, where he saw Loki and Mithra hanging out. Could the strange child hanging with Mithra, really be a God that played a major role in creating the planet the other realms, and their inhabitants and if so was Loki the good half of that God or the evil half? Asura was a bit unsure of that. If Loki was the good half he had no problem with him living in his house and hanging with his daughter, but if Loki was evil, then he was a threat to everyone in the house and needed to be quickly eliminated.
"Is there anyway we can determine which half of Aesir?" Asked Durga.
"We could say the name Aesir or address Loki by that name and see how he reacts." Said Balder.
"Worth a shot." Said Asura.
"Alright I'm going in, wish me luck." Said Luka as he headed over to the children.
"Hey Luka." Greeted Mitra.
"Sup mate figure out any clues to my powers yet?" Asked Loki.
"Sorta of. I think I might have a clue to who you are and where your powers come from. Im going to say a name and will see what kind of reaction you have." Said Luka.
"Alright lay it on me then." Said Loki.
"Aesir the God of Chaos." Said Luka.
At first nothing happened Loki just stared into space for a few minutes then he wended in pain as he closed his eyes and put his right hand to his head as if he was experiencing a migraine. Luka and the others looked at Loki with concern. A few seconds later Loki seemed to relax as he removed his hand from his head.
"I...remember...most of everything. I was a part of Aesir. I remember he was whole and then, I or he gave humanity...free will, which made him split in half...and his eyes, the Eyes of the World were gifted to the humans." Said Loki opening his eyes.
"Do you remember why Aesir did that?" Asked Luka.
"I or him, man that confusing, gave humanity free will because he pitted the humans and he believed that they would be capable of doing great things if they had free will. Aesir had faith in humanity and...I do to." Said Loki.
"So you got your memories back. Now all that remains is knowing which half of Aesir you are." Said Asura.
"Are you good or are you evil?" Asked Bayonetta.
"I'm good. I like you humans, love." Said Loki.
"You could be easily lying about that. It's what evil would do." Said Balder.
"Evil can be very deceptive." Said Rosa.
"I'm good I tell you!" Said Loki looking a bit annoyed.
The others looked at Loki not sure what to make of his claim. Then Mithra spoke up getting everyone's attention.
"He's telling the truth."
"How can you tell?" Asked Luka.
"I can just sense it. Loki has been truthful and honest." Said Mithra.
"Told you." Said Loki.
"Alright will say you're the good half of Aesir for now." Said Balder.
"But will be keeping a close eye on you while you're here just to be sure. And no funny business." Said Bayonetta.
"Fine by me, love. I'll be on my best behavior and you'll all feel pretty stupid, when you realize I was telling the truth." Said Loki.
"I have a question." Said Asura.
"Ask away." Said Loki.
"Was Aesir responsible for creating the Goham?" Asked Asura.
"No...he wasn't. It was someone else. Someone...who played a role in creating this world, but...I can't remember who it was." Said Loki looking a bit confused and concerned about that bit of lost memory.
"I'm sure it'll come back eventually or something will trigger it." Said Luka.
"So another God is responsible for creating the Goham, but the question remains, why would they do something like that? What purpose do the Goham serve?" Said Balder.
"It matters not who created them. What we need to focus on is surviving and figuring out a way to rid the world of the Goham." Said Asura.
"You think our young special guest can help? He may be a child, but he is technically a God and who knows what he is capable of." Said Rosa.
"We need to bring this to the Emperor as well as the Grand Elders to decide what to do." Said Asura.
"Agreed." Said Balder.
"Well our guest is certainly going to make things interesting around here." Said Bayonetta eyeing Loki and wondering what future had in store.
To be continued.
